Unidirectional photon emission is crucial for constructing quantum networks and realizing scalable quantum information processing. In the present work an efficient scheme is developed for the unidirectional emission of a tunable squeezed microwave field. Our scheme is based on a chiral cavity magnonic system, where a magnon mode in a single-crystalline yttrium iron garnet (YIG) sphere is selectively coupled to one of the two degenerate rotating microwave modes in a torus-shaped cavity with the same chirality. With the YIG sphere driven by a two-color Floquet field to induce sidebands in the magnon-photon coupling, we show that the unidirectional emission of a tunable squeezed microwave field can be generated via the assistance of the dissipative magnon mode and a waveguide. Moreover, the direction of the proposed one-way emitter can be controlled on demand by reversing the biased magnetic field. We introduce a time-dependent generalized Floquet (TDGF) approach to calculate attosecond transient absorption spectra of helium atoms subjected to the combination of an attosecond extreme ultraviolet (XUV) pulse and a delayed few-cycle infrared (IR) laser pulse. This TDGF approach provides a Floquet understanding of the laser-induced change of resonant absorption lineshape. It is analytically demonstrated that, the phase shift of the time-dependent dipole moment that results in the lineshape changes consists of the \emph{adiabatic} laser-induced phase (LIP) due to the IR-induced stark shifts of adiabatic Floquet states and the \emph{non-adiabatic} phase correction due to the non-adiabatic IR-induced coupling between adiabatic Floquet states. Comparisons of the spectral lineshape calculated based on the TDGF approach with the results obtained with the LIP model [S. Chen \emph{et al.}, Phys. Rev. A \textbf{88}, 033409(2013)] and the rotating-wave approximation (RWA) are made in several typical cases. It is suggested in the picture of adiabatic Floquet states that, the LIP model works as long as the generalized adiabatic theorem [A. Dodin \emph{et al.}, Phys. Rev. X Quantum \textbf{2}, 030302(2021)] fulfils, and the RWA works when the higher-order IR-coupling effect in the formation of adiabatic Floquet states is neglectable.

Designing unconventional interactions between single phonons and spins is fascinating for its applications in quantum phononics. Here, we propose a reliable scheme for coupling spins and phonons in phononic dimer and trimer lattices, with the combination of solid-state defects and diamond phononic (optomechanical) crystals. The dimer and trimer lattices used are an array of coupled phononic cavities with spatially modulated hopping rates. We predict a series of unconventional sound-matter interaction phenomena in this hybrid quantum system. In the dimer lattice, we show the formation of chiral spin-phonon bound states and topology-dependent phononic collective radiation. While in the trimer lattice, chiral bound states still exist and the spin relaxation is sublattice-dependent. The chiral bound states existed in both types of lattices are robust to large amount of disorder, which can mediate chiral and robust spin-spin interactions. It is an ill-posed problem to recover the true scene colors from a color biased image by discounting the effects of scene illuminant and camera spectral sensitivity (CSS) at the same time. Most color constancy (CC) models have been designed to first estimate the illuminant color, which is then removed from the color biased image to obtain an image taken under white light, without the explicit consideration of CSS effect on CC. This paper first studies the CSS effect on illuminant estimation arising in the inter-dataset-based CC (inter-CC), i.e., training a CC model on one dataset and then testing on another dataset captured by a distinct CSS. We show the clear degradation of existing CC models for inter-CC application. Then a simple way is proposed to overcome such degradation by first learning quickly a transform matrix between the two distinct CSSs (CSS-1 and CSS-2). The learned matrix is then used to convert the data (including the illuminant ground truth and the color biased images) rendered under CSS-1 into CSS-2, and then train and apply the CC model on the color biased images under CSS-2, without the need of burdensome acquiring of training set under CSS-2. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real images show that our method can clearly improve the inter-CC performance for traditional CC algorithms. We investigate the controllable generation of robust photon entanglement with a circuit cavity electromechanical system, consisting of two superconducting coplanar waveguide cavities (CPWC's) capacitively coupled by a nanoscale mechanical resonator (MR). We show that, with this electromechanical system, two-mode continuous-variable entanglement of cavity photons can be engineered deterministically either via coherent control on the dynamics of the system, or through a dissipative quantum dynamical process. The first scheme, operating in the strong coupling regime, explores the excitation of the cavity Bogoliubov modes, and is insensitive to the initial thermal noise. The second one is based on the reservoir-engineering approach, which exploits the mechanical dissipation as a useful resource to perform ground state cooling of two delocalized cavity Bogoliubov modes. The achieved amount of entanglement in both schemes is determined by the relative ratio of the effective electromechanical coupling strengths, which thus can be tuned and made much lager than that in previous studies., Comment: To appear in PRA, published version

We present an experimental feasible scheme to synthesize two-mode continuous-variable entangled states of two superconducting resonators that are interconnected by two gap-tunable superconducting qubits. We show that, with each artificial atom suitably driven by a bichromatic microwave field to induce sidebands in the qubit-resonator coupling, the stationary state of the photon fields in the two resonators can be cooled and steered into a two-mode squeezed vacuum state via a dissipative quantum dynamical process, while the superconducting qubits remain in their ground states. We present a novel scheme for the generation of entangled states of two spatially separated nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers with two whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) microresonators, which are coupled either by an optical fiber-taper waveguide, or by the evanescent fields of the WGM. We show that, the steady state of the two NV centers can be steered into a singlet-like state through a dissipative quantum dynamical process, where the cavity decay plays a positive role and can help drive the system to the target state.
