Partially coherent perfect vortex beams with periodic coherence properties, namely, optical coherence perfect vortex lattices (OCPVLs), are proposed in this letter. Rhombus-, spiral-, and circle-shaped OCPVLs were investigated in detail both theoretically and experimentally through the manipulation of the coherent structures. Manipulating the coherence width yielded unique advantages, such as maintaining uniformity over a longer distance, more efficient optical trapping, and high-capacity free-space optical communications. Aiming at the problem of poor indoor thermal environment and poor human comfort in temporary office-prefab house. We used the Airpak simulation software is used to simulate the temporary office-prefab house and the office of a conventional building in a construction site in Xi'an, and analyzed the simulation results of the temperature field, velocity field, PMV and PPD. According to the results, the average temperature of the temperature field of the prefabricated house in summer is about 30 ℃, the average value of the PMV field is greater than 1, and the average value of the PPD field is 40%. The average velocity field is less than 0.3 m/s and roughly the same. According to the human comfort index, the temperature of the prefabricated house in summer is greater than the human comfort temperature, and the PMV value and PPD value have a great relationship with the temperature, so their values are also beyond the human comfort range, and the indoor thermal environment of the prefabricated house is poor.

Microfluidic Paper‐based Analytical Devices (µPADs) have emerged as a new class of microfluidic systems, offering numerous advantages over traditional microfluidic chips. These advantages include simplicity, cost‐effectiveness, stability, storability, disposability, and portability. As a result, various designs for different types of assays are developed and investigated. In recent years, µPADs are combined with conventional detection methods to enable rapid on‐site detection, providing results comparable to expensive and sophisticated large‐scale testing methods that require more time and skilled personnel. The application of µPAD techniques is extensive in environmental quality control/analysis, clinical diagnosis, and food safety testing, paving the way for on‐site real‐time diagnosis as a promising future development. This review focuses on the recent research advancements in the design, fabrication, material selection, and detection methods of µPADs. The evaluation of the wave-induced pore pressures around the offshore piles has attracted great attentions among coastal engineers, because they have been commonly used as foundations of numerous marine infrastructures. This paper presents comparative studies of the random wave-induced transient seabed response around single and double piles in a sandy seabed through a series of wave flume experiments. The influences of relative spacing ratios, wave incidence angles, and front pile diameters under different random wave parameters on oscillatory pore pressures in the vicinity of double piles are examined. In addition, variations in wave profiles and dynamic wave pressures surrounding single and double piles are quantitatively analyzed. Based on the experimental results, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) under the influence of random waves, the wave profiles around the double piles exhibit obvious irregularity and nonlinearity; (2) the shielding effect existing in the tandem piles results in lower dynamic wave pressures around the rear pile compared to the front pile; (3) the pore pressures on the front surface of the double piles decrease with increasing soil depth, with a decreasing attenuation rate at each layer; (4) when the relative spacing ratio G / D 2 = 3 , the group-pile effect weakens, leading to an increase in the pore pressures around the rear pile, approaching the results of a single pile under conditions of lower significant wave heights or periods; (5) the intense disturbance effect caused by large wave incidence angles exacerbates the pore pressure response around the double piles; (6) when the diameter of the front pile in the tandem piles increases, it enhances the shielding effect, thus suppressing the seabed response around the rear pile. In contrast, it causes an increase in the wave surface around the double piles, exacerbating the pore pressure response in the seabed. Graphene nanoplatelets (GPLs) are considered to be a desirable reinforcing nanofillers for nanocomposite materials owing to their superior thermo‐mechanical properties. Meanwhile, thermoelastic damping (TED), as a dominant intrinsic dissipation mechanisms, is a major challenge in optimizing high‐performance micro/nano‐resonators. Nevertheless, the classical TED models fail at the micro/nano‐scale due to without considering the influences of the size‐dependent effect and the thermal lagging effect. The present work focuses on investigating TED analysis of functionally graded (FG) microplate resonators reinforced with GPLs based on the modified coupled stress theory (MCST) and the Moore–Gibson–Thompson (MGT) heat conduction model. Four patterns of GPLs distribution including the UD, FG‐O, FG‐X and FG‐A pattern distributions are taken into account and the effective mechanical properties of the plate‐type nanocomposite are evaluated based on the Halpin–Tsai model. The energy equation and the transverse motion equation in the Kirchhoff microplate model are formulated, and then, the closed‐from analytical solution of TED is solved by complex frequency method. The influences of the various parameters involving the material length‐scale parameter, the thermal phase lag of the heat flux and the total weight fraction of GPLs on the TED are discussed in detail. The obtained results show that the effects of the modified parameter on the TED are pronounced. This results provide a more reasonable theoretical approach to estimate TED in the design of FG microplate resonators reinforced with GPLs with high performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Salt gland is an epidermal Na+ secretory structure that enhances salt resistance in the recretohalophyte sea lavender (Limonium bicolor). To elucidate the salt gland development trajectory and related molecular mechanisms, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing of L. bicolor protoplasts from young leaves at salt gland initiation and differentiation stages. Dimensionality reduction analyses defined 19 transcriptionally distinct cell clusters, which were assigned into 4 broad populations—promeristem, epidermis, mesophyll, and vascular tissue—verified by in situ hybridization. Cytokinin was further proposed to participate in salt gland development by the expression patterns of related genes and cytological evidence. By comparison analyses of Single-cell RNA sequencing with exogenous application of 6-benzylaminopurine, we delineated 5 salt gland development-associated subclusters and defined salt gland-specific differentiation trajectories from Subclusters 8, 4, and 6 to Subcluster 3 and 1. Additionally, we validated the participation of TRIPTYCHON and the interacting protein Lb7G34824 in salt gland development, which regulated the expression of cytokinin metabolism and signaling-related genes such as GLABROUS INFLORESCENCE STEMS 2 to maintain cytokinin homeostasis during salt gland development. Our results generated a gene expression map of young leaves at single-cell resolution for the comprehensive investigation of salt gland determinants and cytokinin participation that helps elucidate cell fate determination during epidermis formation and evolution in recretohalophytes. Signal quality is critical in free space optical (FSO) communications. Many technologies and methods are applied to enhance the signal quality of an optical communication system, which might require one of the methods employing structured light. We introduce structured light of cylindrical vector beams with adaptive optics compensation to improve signal quality in FSO communications. The multiplexing/demultiplexing of coaxial cylindrical vector beams is used to increase the capacity of the communication channel. Adaptive optics compensation and cylindrical vector beams are applied to mitigate influence of the turbulent atmospheric disturbances and improve the signal quality. An optical vortex grating is employed to demultiplex signal beams and then send the signals to a receiver plane to measure the bit-error-rate. Consequently, the signal quality of the cylindrical vector beams multiplexing/demultiplexing in FSO communication systems improves. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
