International audience; But : Cette recherche en psychologie étudie les liens entre effraction somatique, détresse et crise identitaire des patients en fin de vie. Méthode : 14 psychologues analysent leurs entretiens à l'aide d'un livret réalisé à cet effet. Résultats : 629 entretiens sont réalisés avec 210 patients. Leur détresse est fortement corrélée avec l'effraction de la fonction pare-excitatrice. Conclusion : une effraction somatique augmente la détresse et rompt le sentiment d'unité. Cela se résorbe à proximité du décès.

Abstract

The water permeability of ADH target epithelial cells is believed to be regulated by a cycle of exo-endocytosis of vesicles containing functional water channels. These vesicles were selectively labeled in intact frog urinary bladders with an impermeant fluorescent marker, 6-carboxyfluorescein. Vesicle suspensions containing the labeled endosomes were obtained by homogenization and differential centrifugation of bladder epithelial cells. The osmotic permeability of the endocytic vesicles was measured, using a stopped-flow fluorescence technique, in the absence or in the presence of HgCl. This permeability was found very high (500 μm/sec) and inhibited by 1 mm HgCl (90%), thus confirming the presence of water channels. The labeled endosomes were then separated from the other membrane vesicles by flow cytometry and sorting. Their protein content was analyzed by electrophoresis on ultrathin polyacrylamide gels. Two double bands were found at 71 and 55 kDa as well as a small band at 43 kDa. They respectively correspond to 31, 38 and 10% of the total amount of silver-stained proteins present in the sorted endosomes, while they only represent 2, 4, and less than 1% of the proteins contained in the vesicle suspension, before sorting. These highly enriched proteins (or at least one of them) are likely to be involved in the mechanism of water transport. Associated to their partial purification by differential centrifugation, the sorting of the endosomes by flow cytometry seems a good way to further characterize the water channel. ISBN : 978-2-901737-75-9; National audience; Au IXème siècle, les présentations des origines des différentes monarchies bretonnes ne correspondaient nullement à des souvenirs situés précisément dans le temps. Seules deux époques se détachent de ces récits : celle de l'installation des Saxons décrite par Gildas et celle du VIIIème siècle, trois à quatre générations précédant l'époque de rédaction. Le lien entre les deux s'opéraient à l'aide de généalogies, composées et recomposées suivant les revendications territoriales contemporaines. Les seuls points communs entre des présentations rivales du passé étaient ainsi fournis par les écrits antérieurs, en l'occurrence, les œuvres de Gildas et de Bède. Les contradictions flagrantes de ces présentations des monarchies des origines, aussi bien entre l'Histoire des Bretons et l'inscription du pilier d'Eliseg qu'à l'intérieur même de l'Histoire des Bretons, nous montre l'incapacité des érudits bretons à proposer au IXème siècle une vision du passé partagée par tous. Ainsi nous apparaît l'importance du travail effectuée dans les Annales Cambriae, qui rendirent possible une mémoire collective des Bretons en créant les jalons chronologiques manquants entre le Vème et le VIIIème siècle .

L'interprétation évhémériste permet au mythe d'être admis dans l'histoire, tandis que les mythes proprement scandinaves sont mis sur le même plan que les mythes de l'antiquité gréco-latine et biblique. Toutefois la réception norroise de ce qu'on pourrait appeler la « matière de Rome » accuse une ambiguïté tout aussi flagrante que celle de nos romans antiques, puisqu'elle fait aussi l'objet de traitements plus proprement littéraires, la justification politico-morale étant alors absente. On s'appuiera pour cette étude rapide sur quelques ouvrages historiographiques et mythographiques islandais des XIIIe et XIVe siècle, en particulier les compilations qui utilisent la matière de Rome et le mythe troyen.

Abstract

Aim: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a growing health problem affecting nearly 1 billion people worldwide. The landmark feature of OSA is chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH), accounting for multiple organ damage, including heart disease. CIH profoundly alters both visceral white adipose tissue (WAT) and heart structure and function, but little is known regarding inter-organ interaction in the context of CIH. We recently showed that visceral WAT senescence drives myocardial alterations in aged mice without CIH. Here, we aimed at investigating whether CIH induces a premature visceral WAT senescent phenotype, triggering subsequent cardiac remodeling., Methods: In a first experiment, 10-week-old C57bl6J male mice (n = 10/group) were exposed to 14 days of CIH (8 h daily, 5%-21% cyclic inspired oxygen fraction, 60 s per cycle). In a second series, mice were submitted to either epididymal WAT surgical lipectomy or sham surgery before CIH exposure. Finally, we used p53 deficient mice or Wild-type (WT) littermates, also exposed to the same CIH protocol. Epididymal WAT was assessed for fibrosis, DNA damages, oxidative stress, markers of senescence (p16, p21, and p53), and inflammation by RT-qPCR and histology, and myocardium was assessed for fibrosis and cardiomyocyte hypertrophy., Results: CIH-induced epididymal WAT remodeling characterized by increased fibrosis, oxidative stress, DNA damage response, inflammation, and increased expression of senescent markers. CIH-induced epididymal WAT remodeling was associated with subtle and early myocardial interstitial fibrosis. Both epididymal WAT surgical lipectomy and p53 deletion prevented CIH-induced myocardial fibrosis., Conclusion: Short-term exposure to CIH induces epididymal WAT senescent remodeling and cardiac interstitial fibrosis, the latter being prevented by lipectomy. This finding strongly suggests visceral WAT senescence as a new target to mitigate OSA-related cardiac disorders., (© 2024 The Author(s).
