Stage I seminoma represents the paradigm of a curable malignancy, with survival of 100% an expected outcome no matter what treatment option is chosen. However, consensus has not been reached among urologists and oncologists regarding the optimal postoperative management in men with clinical stage I testicular seminoma. Currently, men are offered active surveillance, adjuvant radiation therapy, or single-agent chemotherapy. Active surveillance is associated with an 80% chance of no relapse, with all such events salvageable. Radiotherapy has an almost universal cure rate but has the potential for long-term toxicities and an overtreatment rate of about 80%. Chemotherapy efficacy and toxicity data are still immature. Recent guidelines recognize that the options of surveillance, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy are appropriate in the treatment of patients with clinical stage I seminoma. Germinal cell tumors form a minority of all malignancies of the ovary. Ovarian germ cell tumors are still rarer, especially in childhood. The common age group affected by yolk sac tumors is 11 to 24 years. Here, we present a case of yolk sac tumor in a four-year-old girl with the aim that this will effect an early diagnosis by a vigilant clinician. Prognosis of yolk sac tumors is highly stage-dependent and an early diagnosis can result in a drastic difference in the final outcome of the treatment of this highly aggressive disease. Testicular tumors can be classified as seminomatous and non-seminomatous germ-cell tumor (NSGCT) types. A mixed variety comprises 60 % of these tumors. Unfortunately, many of these patients present late, usually with some or the other complications which are difficult to treat and carry bad prognosis. Still, if they can complete the chemotherapy they have a reasonable survival period, depending on the complications they have. Swyer syndrome is a pure gonadal dysgenesis associating with 46 XY karyotype and primary amenorrhea in a phenotypic female. In this syndrome, there is an abnormality in testicular differentiation. Patients with specific disorders in sexual differentiation have an increased risk for development of genital malignancies. A 23 years old female admitted to the hospital with the complaint of primary amenorrhea. The clinical and laboratory investigations revealed Swyer syndrome and dysgerminoma developed from left ovary. Left gonadectomy was applied to the patient. There was neither a family history of primary amenorrhea nor genital tract tumor. The early diagnosis of the patients with Swyer syndrome is very important because of the increased risk for the development of malignancy. The early surgical treatment and if required, convenient chemotherapy will lengthen survival.
