This diploma thesis deals with clean mobility, which becomes one of the current topics of today's society. Limited oil reserves and the state of the environment leads the goverments of developer countries to introduce alternative fuels in transport. The aim of the thesis is to clarify the economic costs and benefits of the practical application of clean mobility and to answer the question if the using of alternative fuels is economically rational. The Response is influenced by many factors and depends on the type of alternative fuel, the legislative framework of the country, the society awareness and others. Strength of the CNG's alternative fuel is mainly the lower fuel cost as well as for electromobility. The weakness of these fuels is the insufficient accessibility network of filling / charging places. An economic analysis of vehicle fleet modification of the Czech Environmental Inspectorate demonstrates that, under the current conditions, it is less costly to operate a vehicle with CNG alternative fuel. It is valid as well when the social cost of emissions are included.

The dissertation deals with application of economic approaches and instruments in natural resource management. The paper puts a special emphasis on the developing concept of ecosystem services (mainly abroad) and its application in the Czech Republic's context. The objective of the thesis is to cultivate academic discussion of the importance of methods employed in environmental economics for application of economic policy tools in natural resource management in the Czech Republic's context and, among other things, to clarify whether (and if so, how) the concept of ecosystem services may contribute to the formulation of these tools. The paper also discusses possible limitations of using purely quantitative econometric methods in environmental policy. The dissertation is designed as a cumulative paper. The results of five scholarly articles presented document that application of economic approaches (such as valuation of environmental goods and services) may contribute to efficient meeting of environmental policy goals and that the ecosystem service concept brings new capabilities for application of economic theories in practical natural resource management. One of the new instruments grounded in this concept is the payments for ecosystem services, increasingly implemented abroad. However, the research results also point out the fact that isolated application of outcomes from quantitative environmental goods and services/ecosystems assessment methods has its limitations and may lead to design of measures and tools that will not have the desired effect. The recommendation is therefore to combine outcomes from quantitative methods with qualitative approaches (such as institutional analysis or stakeholder analysis).

The master thesis deals with passive houses and their profitability's economic analysis. The thesis focuses on both new buildings and renovations, which have the greatest potential for energy savings in the building's sector. The cost-effectiveness of proposed measures is evaluated using the example of reconstruction of an existing house with passive and low-energy standard. Low-energy option of reconstruction is more profitable from an investor's perspective than the passive one. At 4% annual growth in energy prices, both options become comparable. The result of the calculation is not generally applicable. The profitability always depends on a specific building and various measures. Besides the cost-effectiveness, the investor's decision about an investment is also influenced by an increasing level of living comfort, subsidies and environmental protection.

This thesis analyzes impact of social trust on environmental regulations stringency. Negative effect is suggested. Thesis documents that, in a cross section of countries, there is no evidence of such an effect. On the other hand, there is evidence of positive impact of GDP per capita and level of education.

The diploma thesis covers themes of pollution intensity of production, informal environmental regulation and voluntary approaches. The theoretical part of thesis consists of main theories and empirical results of environmental regulation and impacts on manufacturing production. In the practical part author presents the econometric model of emission intensity equilibria is designed. Plants observations are gathered from IRZ registry in period 2005-2011 and air pollution is proxied by PM10 and C8H8 emissions. Following econometric analysis of emission intensity equilibria measures an influence by factors of production function and environmental regulation variables on intensity. As results have shown, significance of factors such as voluntary approaches, IPPC and socio-economic specifics haven't been proved. On the other hand statistically significant factors are firm's size and average wage of employees.

The aim of this diploma thesis is application of non market evaluation on particular example of public green in Prague 15 and considering the possibility of using this method by public sector. Decisions of public sector aren't often transparent and systematic, in this study is proposed, how such a decision would be going on, if it was based on economic theory. First part of this study is concentrated on typology of goods, theory of non market evaluation and choice of the method applied on a particular example of a public green. Analytical part of this study contains description of application of contingent evaluation that estimates willingness to pay for a preservation and improvement of a public green. The last part of the study contains discussion of possibility of using this method by public sector.

Within the frame of the ecological policy, there exists a number of instruments for a protection of environment and to solve problems related to it. Single types of instruments are established on diferent principles which leads to long-lasting arguments of economists on fitness or unfitness for purpose. At the application of administrative instruments of regulation, as it is described by neoclassical economy theory, a question arises, if this strict solution is effective and practical in light of meeting targets of the environmental policy. Arguments which hold the view that the EU Directive on industrial emissions in the metallurgy sector implementation, as an above mentioned administrative instrument, is effective and practical can be displaced in case of comparison with well set alternative instrument - marketable emission licences.

The topic of this diploma thesis is a Corporate Social Responsibility concept. The thesis is primarily focused on Corporate social responsibility reporting of companies located in the Czech Republic which is nowadays based on voluntary approach. The author compares CSR reports with GRI standards that currently represent respected framework for responsible reporting. The primary aim of GRI with assistance of G3 guidelines is to create unified, compact and transparent directions for GRI reporting. Given to individual reports, an overall assessment is created. Based on such assessment, author's own recommendation for transparent reporting of Corporate Social Responsibility follows.

This thesis examines the possibility of enforcing a toll in Prague's central region, which has long been struggling with congestion. The central objective was to determine how interest groups affect the problem of introducing tolls in the area of Prague. Interest groups underwent an analysis at whose beginning they were identified and searched out. A determination of its benefits and costs followed to rovide a more detailed assessment establishing the motivation and the influence that various interest groups may have. In this thesis, a relatively strong interest group from the corporate sector was identified, which would be significantly affected by the toll -- the providers of courier services. Experts anticipate an assumption of negative attitudes by this group to the introduction of tolls, which is also confirmed in the/an interview with the stakeholders.

The aim of the Thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of voluntary instruments of environmental protection as an example of eco-labelling and to verify the hypothesis whether eco-labelling is an appropriate instrument to influence consumption and production of environmentally friendly products and services. Based on the characteristics of voluntary instruments of environmental protection this work defines the types of environmental labelling and evaluates under what conditions can be eco-labelling systems, both economically and environmentally, efficient. Focusing primarily on Type I environmental labelling on the basis of summaries of works already carried out, my Thesis studies and evaluates the importance and impact of this tool for consumers, businesses and the environment. The next part of the work is focused on the issue of environmentally preferable purchasing and green public procurement, mainly at the level of the Czech Republic. The practical part verifies the hypothesis about the effectiveness of eco-labelling for example, the National Programme for Labelling Environmentally friendly products and services of the Czech Republic and European Union eco-labelling system. The method of sample survey was conducted and analyzed to what extent these systems are successful at eco-labelling. The survey was conducted among consumers and users of eco-labelling - in the companies involved in the aforementioned eco-labelling systems. The survey was supplemented by the views of experts from the field and has been evaluated by their expert view on these voluntary instruments.

Thesis deals with the use of renewable sources of energy focused on water energy, especially small hydropower plants in Czech Republic. It should clarify the legal and technical framework for energy production in small hydro power plants, types of aid and the amount for the operator. Case studies describe the construction and reconstruction of small hydroelectric power plants which are dependant on the amount of feed-in tariffs and try to find out the economic efficiency according to the selected methods of investment appraisal.

The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on analysis and evaluation of utilization of the corporate social responsibility concept. It describes in detail the sense and content of CSR reports, which are released annually. The work verifies hypothesis, that in the Czech environment the strategy is being implemented in a narrower sense than in developed countries. The practical part refers about results of a few international and national studies dedicated to comparison of the concept domestically and abroad. Previous studies confirm the main hypothesis; the CSR policy is immature in Czech Republic, but is rapidly expanding. The hypothesis is confirmed also by field research, which was performed in four Czech companies that implemented the CSR policy. It was found out that the firms do not use the strategy in its entire extent and issuing reports which would meet international standards is not considered to be a priority for them. The conclusion of the thesis incorporates the assessment of current situation and suggestions for changes.

This paper is about introduction of congestion toll in centre of Prague. I look at the toll as an internalization of externalities instrument. Car transport causes high externalities in centres of cities, so there exists a tendency to solve this problem by different arrangements. Altough particular congestion toll project in Prague brings internalization of automobile externalities, this project is not profitable for the society because of high costs.

Diploma work analyzes the collective systems which are solving the disposal of photovoltaic's panels, classified as electrical equipment subject to recollection since last year, and tries to get answer to question if the collective systems should ensure a smooth disposal. Biggest wave of disposal photovoltaic's panels is expected in the next 15 -- 20 years. Operators and manufacturers have a statutory obligation to pay a fee, for every kilogram of photovoltaic's panels.The question under consideration is the check of the collective systems setting and also, comparative analysis of collective systems which are dealing with disposal of photovoltaic's panels and other electrical equipment. Furthermore, the survey conducted and processed according to the conclusions of the various groups (collective systems operators, operators of PV plants, lawmakers, and public) and also, the analysis of systems is presented.

This thesis is comparing impacts defined by Regulatory impact assessment (RIA) with real impacts discovered with online survey related to the specific Czech environmental legislative act. There is described RIA, experience with RIA in Czech and comparison of development and experience of RIA in EU and USA. As a result, comparison of the impacts within RIA and the ones identified by the survey is that real impacts are different from the predicted ones within RIA. The summary of this thesis is that process RIA is alright but accuracy of predicted impacts is dependent on RIA processor, rigorousness and complexity of RIA.

The theme of the thesis is scrapping scheme, which was in the Czech Republic during years 2009 and 2010 very discussed and that was despite government meetings stretching over a year finally unloaded. The work collect a large amount of information about scrapping schemes, a state contribution on the disposal of car wrecks, mainly about its implementation in several countries, the subsequent tract and analysis of resulting impacts. Based on experience from other countries with an already undertaken scrapping programs are identified potential impacts that could have a scrapping scheme in the case of implementation in the Czech Republic in the future. The work is also examining the effectiveness of Czech government finance earmarked for scrapping scheme. The main goal of the thesis is to answer the question whether the implementation of scrapping scheme in the Czech Republic would be an appropriate anti-crisis tool.

The thesis deals with the issue of voluntary approaches to the environmental protection, it firstly describes the importance of protecting the environment, further regulation of environmental protection and possible approaches to environmental protection in the context of social development. Subsequently, attention is also paid to voluntary approaches to the environmental protection, namely the basic division of voluntary approaches to environmental management systems, environmental labeling, eco-design, cleaner production, all-out quality management and environmental management accounting. In the practical part of the text were evaluated voluntary approaches to environmental protection in selected companies, namely Unilever and Hochtief, through the realization of my research was mainly detected, whether the company was, is or will be, effective introduction of voluntary approaches to environmental protection or not, i.e. what are the motives of the company for the introduction and implementation of these voluntary approaches.

In the two past decades, the topic of water resources has occurred more abundantly, the water has become the object of many research institutions. While in the 19th and 20th centuries of human progress took place under the sign of coal and oil, today is coming to the forefront the issue of availability of water resources and the related need for effective management which would assure an even distribution. This diploma thesis aims to highlight the problems of water resource management, offers options which would be theoretical focused and an example case study to show what the consequences may have a system which is implemented in isolation without consideration for other inter-sector policy. The context which involves on the current situation of water shortage in Mexico City is identified and analyzed.

The aim of this master thesis is to evaluate the development of the region of National park Czech Switzerland on the basis of the development of social, economic and environmental dimension. The debate about sustainable development which has been held world-wide for many years is connected to discussion of the instruments which would be able to evaluate implementation of sustainability concept. Many indicators were already evolved on world-wide, national and local level. Mainly local indicators will be discussed and a set of indicators suitable for small municipalities will be applied. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to definition, history, principles and other implications of sustainable development. Next chapter is addressed on the indicators of development. Theoretical base of development of indicators is amended with a summary of existing indicators, especially on the local level in the thesis. The region of the National park Czech Switzerland is introduced in the practical part of the thesis. Nine municipalities whose cadastral territory is partially located on the territory of national park belong to the region. For the evaluation of their development a set of indicators was chosen on the basis of predefined criteria.

The aim of the presented bachelor thesis is to provide a systematic insight into the system of Integrated Pollutant Emission Register as a czech version of Pollutant Emission Registers. The main purpose od the thesis is to answer the question who is the real beneficiary of such a source of information and whether our specific legal provisions have a rather positive or negative effect towards both its users and obliged enterpreneurs. Does it bring more good or bad and does it cost a lot or not? By means of description and analysis of its current legal status, the thesis first seeks to depict its legal development, position in international context as well as its nature and function. The second part of the thesis is devoted to research work, which was undertaken by means of questionnaire addressed to obliged businesses. The questionnaire was divided into three separate parts and its main purpose was to analyse the changes emerging from the new legislation and their financial consequences, taken from the responses of directly involved subjects. At the end, the thesis summarises conclusions from both its theoretical and practical part in order to answer the questions mentioned above and suggest a few possibilities for the future development of the czech system. The present thesis is concerned with the construction of by-pass road of the town Roudnice nad Labem and its potential impacts. It briefly describes traffic situation in Roudnice and possible solutions of traffic issues of the town. Theoretical section of the thesis defines a cost-benefit analysis and other assessment methods used for civic projects. The thesis also focuses on external cost and the contribution traffic brings in general as well as with respect to the particular area. The data acquired have been used for drawing a project CBA which addresses the matter of civic efficiency of the construction.

There is an obligation to hold a minimal flow when running a water power plant in a current czech legistation. There are environmental reasons to determine the minimum discharge and the way to set it is not valid at the moment. We can see a difference in a type of water power stations when comparing the effects from electric power which is produced in water power plant situated on czech rivers and the damage that does not appear on the environment. The weir type of power plant harms the surroundings mildly except of the possible migration obstacles. But the derivation type makes loss that could be hardly compensate by the produced electricity. Different methods of evaluating the enrironment brinks various results and that is the reason why it is hard to say how much the effects from producing the electricity exceed the benefits arising from instream water or vice versa. The only conclusion that can be said is the advice about including more points of view when setting the minimum flowage.

The topic of my bachelor thesis is the Economic and ecological issues of public transport in town Banská Bystrica. The first part of my publication describes the objective and methods used within my thesis, and it also shortly introduces the town Banská Bystrica. Further I describe past and present situation of the public transport in the town and problems with trolleybus transportation. In main part I focus on the environment within the town and I show the problems with pollution. I also shortly describe the major pollutants related to transport. Then I look closer on bus and trolleybus transportation and I compare these two vehicles from ecology and environmental view. The next part of thesis is economic advisement of public transportation in the city and comparison of bus and trolleybus transportation from economic angle. In the conclusion of my thesis I try to make the suggestion of convenient system of public transportation for the town Banská Bystrica considering the economic and environmental objectives.

Energy Performance Contracting is an energy saving method, when the supplier guarantees a certain minimal level of energy savings to the customer, as well as non-rising energy costs. The method was developed at the turn of 70's and 80's in the USA and has spread to dozens of countries around the world till today, although the rate of the EPC market development differs from country to country. The method is useful mostly for heating, electricity and gas cost savings by the end-users. In the Czech Republic, the method has been used since 1993. Until now, several dozens, or even hundreds of projects have been realized, mostly for public sector customers. This paper analyzes the current state of the EPC method usage around the world as well as in the Czech Republic, the key part comprises of the EPC principles description, based on data from real EPC contracts. The work is concluded by a SWOT analysis of the method and by a discussion of the following question: "Can EPC projects blockade the overall saving potential in some cases?" The key information source for most of the work were answers to questions sent to eight Czech ESCO companies representatives, as well as the outputs from guided interviews with four of them, which were taking place between January and May 2009.

This diploma paper researches Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable development reporting. It deals with the development, basic characteristic and social responsibility areas. It describes institutions and standards, which support this responsibility. It also analyses the GRI initiative and procedure in details and focuses on CSR reports according to GRI initiative. The analytical part researches the companies' accession to the firm social responsibility in the Czech Republic. It evaluates their access to non -- financial data presenting, standards, certifications and regulations using. There are presumptions set for interviews which survey the awareness of companies and public about the social responsibility. The companies' attitude and social responsibility reception are then assessed and elaborated in the SWOT analysis.

The work focuses on wind-power energetics area in the Czech republic. On the basis of a set referential project, which is typical for current Czech conditions, it intends to answer two key questions. The first one deals with risk and inquires into how critical individual factors are. For this purpose financial analysis and especially sensitivity analysis are used. The other issue solved in this work is detection of economic efficiency of the referential project. The output is based on the prediction of the critical factors.

Bachelor graduation thesis deals with economic evaluation of implementation of international conventions in the Czech Republic. Document which is used as an example is Convention on access to information, public participation in decision-making and access to justice in environmental matters. It defines terms related to international law. Thesis describes parts of the Convention. Regulatory impact analysis is used in order to compare benefits and costs of implementation. At the conclusion the method is applied to the Convention.

The Bachelor's thesis is focused on the area of municipal waste. It describes and compares the actual legislation of municipal waste (mainly methods of payments for municipal waste according to the present acts and codes) in Slovak and Czech Republic. The second part of the thesis is an application of the theory, described in the first part, to examples of communities from these two countries. The aim of the analysis of payments for municipal waste in two communities is to appraise and compare effectiveness of chosen kinds of payments for municipal waste, eventually to mention their absences and contributions.

The Bachelor Degree Thesis deals with the air pollution and emissions of CO2 from passenger cars. The EU signed the Kyoto protocol, which binds the member states to reduce emission of CO2 by 8% against the year 1990. While is reducing in other sectors succesfull, emissions in transport keep rising. That is why the European Comission decided to create a legislation to reach the average fleet emission target of 130 g/km with the motor vehicle technology and next 10 grams with other improvements like biofuels, ecodriving, better infrastructure or traffic lights. It means that in 2012 the fleet of a manufacturer should emit 120 g/km in average. The European Comission concerns with how to make the proposal equitable to all car manufacturers. The emission limit will probably be set by the weight of the car with the motivation of reducing the weight of cars. The thesis describes also negative social impacts, which the propsal might have. An opinion of many interested parties was taken into account. The exact legislation should be proposed soon.

This diploma paper deals with contemporary practice in dispose of biodegradable waste, especially biodegradable communal waste (biowaste) in the Czech Republic. It explains fundamental terms, points out relevant legal rules and describes methods of biowaste handling. It evaluates collection and utilization systems in two cities in the way of comparison method. It compares them from cost and benefits (economic, environmental) points of view. The main purpose of the diploma paper is general introduction into the issue, pointing out negative effect of biowaste landfilling and presentation of actual systems of utilization. Also the work points out contemporary trend consisting in raising separation and reducing biodegradable communal waste landfilling.

This work is focused on the issue of creation of reserves to cover the costs of decommissioning of nuclear installations. These costs arise from the need to prevent exposure to radioactivity and other pollutants that adversely affect the environment and human health. The thesis describes various systems of decommissioning of nuclear installations and the creation of reserves in selected countries - the Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Finland and France. The analytical part of the work deals with comparative analysis of the creation of reserves for decommissioning of nuclear facilities in selected countries and their subsequent evaluation. The work is a basis for optimizing the system for establishing reserves for decommissioning of nuclear facilities in the Czech Republic.

Diplomová práce na téma vybrané ekonomické a environmentální dopady zavádění bioethanolu jako součásti motorových paliv hodnotí některé dopady této legislativou dané povinnosti. Práce se především snaží vysvětlit možné dopady ekonomické, environmentální a sociální (změnu kvality ovduší, zdražování potravin a surovin, energetickou náročnost výroby a samotnou potřebu fosilních paliv při výrobě biosložky). Dále ukazuje přístup jednotlivých složek státního aparátu (MŽP, MPO, MD a MZe) a možnosti finanční podpory výrobcům bioethanolu.

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na ekonomickou bezpečnost státu, konkrétně na zvládání krizí, jejichž dopadem je narušení dodávek pitné vody. V teoretické části své práce uvedu rizika a hrozby spojené s krizí tohoto charakteru, přičemž se zaměřím na ty, které jsou pro Českou republiku aktuální, a dále zhodnotím jejich dopad na zásobování vodou. Zmíním orgány státní správy zabývající se krizovým managementem při nouzovém zásobování pitnou vodou a jejich institucionální strukturu. Uvedu metody a nástroje orgánů státní správy při zvládání těchto krizí. Popíšu možnosti zabezpečení obyvatelstva pitnou vodou za krizových situací s požadavky na kvalitu a množství vody. Z technického hlediska se budu zabývat materiálním zajištěním krizových situací. Praktická část je věnovaná vyčleněným finančním prostředkům správními úřady potřebným k zajištění přípravy na krizovou situaci ? narušení dodávek pitné vody velkého rozsahu.

Tato práce se zabývá poptávkou po GMO. Přináší základní informace o GMO, vyjmenovává třídy GMO a především blíže rozebírá významné negativní a pozitivní vlivy, které působí na poptávku GMO. Práce obsahuje analýzu poptávky po GMO z dat získaných dotazníkovým šetřením.

Má bakalářská práce je zaměřena na systém obchodování s emisemi skleníkových plynů. Tvorbu Národního alokačního plánu pro Českou republiku, systém obchodování na evropských trzích a praktické zkušenosti s chováním podniků vzhledem k tomuto novému nástroji ochrany životního prostředí. Jako hlavní problém je zde zmiňován samotný účel a výsledky, které byly s tímto tématem očekávány.

Práce podává základní přehled o aktuálních podmínkách využívání biomasy při přeměně na teplo nejen v obcích. Cílem práce je poskytnout praktické zkušenosti a usnadnit budoucím projektům na biomasu jejich vznik. Data jsou získána z provedené analýzy na základě dvou srovnávaných obcí využívajících biomasu a z uskutečněné analýzy SWOT, která čerpá ze zkušeností odborníků v dané oblasti.

Tato práce pojednává o ekonomických a ekologických souvislostech přepravy nákladu. Je zpracována na základě teoretických poznatků z literatury a rozhodovacího procesu fiktivní firmy. K tomuto procesu byla použita multikriteriální analýza. Práce obsahuje popis logistických souvislostí přepravy nákladu, vysvětluje jednotlivé dopady dopravy na životní prostředí a externality dopravy. Sleduje jaké jsou dopady přepravy konkrétního druhu zboží na konkrétní trase. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit ekonomické a ekologické souvislosti přepravy.

This thesis on Ecological housing -- passive houses (stimulation possibilities in the Czech environment) describes passive housing within the development of the Czech building market. This thesis focuses on the technologies of passive housing and compares the devel-opment of passive houses in the Czech Republic and in other European countries. Within the comparison this thesis points out individual economic policy tools used in specific countries. This thesis also defines hypothetical solutions for stimulation of passive housing in the Czech Republic. Efficiency analysis is applied to these solutions. Described hypothetical solutions are based on the costs evaluation of passive and ordinary housing, while the cost calculation takes into account mainly the return rate of additional investment adherent to the passive housing.

Práce se týká systému emisního obchodování z pohledu státní správy i z pohledu provozovatelů zařízení. Měla by čtenáři poskytnout komplexní pohled na činnosti státu i provozovatelů zařízení v systému mezinárodního obchodování s emisemi. V závěru práce se budu zabývat otázkou vypuštění ?malých? provozovatelů zařízení ze systému EU ETS.

Práce se zabývá podporou výroby elektřiny z obnovitelných zdrojů. Popisuje principy přímé a nepřímé podpory výroby elektřiny z obnovitelných zdrojů. Vysvětluje principy, na jejichž základě stanovuje Energetický regulační úřad minimální výkupní ceny. Pro konkrétní projekt je spočtena minimální cena produkce.

Práce se zabývá ekonomickými souvislostmi spalovní komunálního odpadu v porovnání se skládkováním. Popisuje metody nakládání s komunálním odpadem. Hodnotí současné postavení spaloven komunálního odpadu v ČR a problém jejich nevyužité kapacity. Uvádí porovnání výkupních cen konkrétně vybraných spaloven a skládek.

Měla by čtenáři poskytnout komplexní pohled na tuto oblast energetiky.Hlavní otázkou je to, zda se může takovýto projekt ekonomicky vyplatit.Závěry budu odvozovat na základě analýzy fiktivního projektu vycházejícího z projektů reálných.

Práce se zabývá znovuvyužíváním brownfields v České republice. Vyjmenovává jednotlivé typy brownfields, popisuje příčiny jejich vzniku a poukazuje na hlavní problémy s nimi spojené, zejména na nedostatečnou evidenci a nejednoznačné rozdělení kompetencí organizací zabývajících se touto problematikou. Práce porovnává brownfields s greenfields a popisuje nástroje, které mohou napomoci znovuvyužívání brownfields. Porovnání je následně aplikováno na konkrétní případ regenerace brownfields a výstavby na zelené louce.

Práce poukazuje na možnosti občanů získávat relevantní informace o životním prostředí, jak je toto právo ošetřeno legislativou České republiky případně i legislativou přesahující za hranice ČR. Má pomoci objasnit způsoby získávání informací běžnými občany a dále pak možnosti přímé účasti veřejnosti na rozhodování o environmentálních problémech, formy projevů vůle občanů a skupin. Dále práce hodnotí zapojování veřejnosti, poukazuje na jeho výhody, nevýhody, ekonomickou náročnost a rozdíly v možnostech zapojování jednotlivců do environmentálních procesů oproti nestátním neziskovým organizacím zabývajících se zapojováním veřejnosti nebo ochranou přírody. Poukazuje na rozdíly v postavení jednotlivce a NNO v environmentálních procesech. Jak a kde jsou získávány finanční prostředky pro zapojování veřejnosti a na provoz neziskových organizací zabývajících se touto problematikou. V neposlední řadě se práce pokusí ilustrovat, jak je to se zapojováním veřejnosti ve skutečnosti, a to na konkrétních případech a zkušenostech z praxe.

Práce se zabývá otázkou zavádění environmentálního účetnictví (EMA) a tím jak je důležité se v podniku environmentálními hledisky zabývat. Základem je definice EMA, oblasti, využití, aplikace a základní prvky. Další část je věnována též situaci v ČR. Vyplynou i důvody jeho zavádění, i z toho vyplývající užitečné informace. Práce se dále zaměřuje na konkrétní zavádění EMA v podnicích, jejich strukturu, aplikaci, tvorbu, postup atd. Protože EMA by mělo přinášet pro podniky i určité přínosy, bude se práce zaměřovat na jejich analýzu, a to jak z pohledu odborníků, tak i z pohledu veřejnosti a podniků. Závěr práce zdůrazňuje důležitost environmentálního účetnictví a proč podniku může podniku pomoci při jeho rozhodování.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá různými druhy plateb za komunální odpad. Srovnává druhy plateb podle jejich vlivů na množství recyklace komunálního odpadu, podle množství vyprodukovaného komunálního odpadu apod. Srovnávání je prováděno na příkladu pěti měst s různými platbami za komunálního odpadu.
