For accurate transient stability studies, a reasonable load representation is necessary as well as a good generator model. The effects of the load with static and dynamic characteristics on the transient stability problem are investigated. This paper summarizes the methods to derive a load model with dynamic characteristics for the transient stability study of the KEPCO's system, which has many industrial loads, and demonstrates the system's performance. The behaviors of dynamic loads have significant influences on the transient stability.
