http://accelconf.web.cern.ch/AccelConf/ICALEPCS2013/papers/tucobab01.pdf; The Spiral2 radioactive ion beam facility to be commissioned in 2014 at Ganil (Caen) is built within international collaborations. This also concerns the control system development shared by three laboratories: Ganil has to coordinate the control and automated systems work packages, CEA/IRFU is in charge of the "injector" (sources and low energy beam lines) and the LLRF, CNRS/IPHC provides the emittancemeters and a beam diagnostics platform. Besides the technology Epics based, this collaboration, although being handled with a few people, nevertheless requires an appropriate and tight organization to reach the objectives given by the project. This contribution describes how, started in 2006, the collaboration for controls has been managed both from the technological point of view and the organizational one, taking into account not only the previous experience, technical background or skill of each partner, but also their existing working practices and "cultural" approaches. A first feedback comes from successful beam tests carried out at Saclay and Grenoble; a next challenge is the migration to operation, Ganil having to run Spiral2 as the other members are moving to new projects.

International audience; The Spiral2 facility aims to provide rare ions beams using the ISOL method. It consists of a driver accelerator followed by the rare ion production process coupled with the existing Ganil machine. From the beginning of this year, one ion source followed by the first beam line section has been in test hence implying the first components of the control system. The whole accelerator should be commissioned in spring 2012 and the first exotic beams are planned one year later. Several institutes are collaborating for the control system design and Epics has been chosen as the basic framework. The architecture will rely on Linux PCs and servers, VME VxWorks IOCs and Siemens PLCs; equipment will be addressed either directly or using a Modbus/TCP field bus network. To ease the collaboration, a specific care has been taken concerning the software organisation and management both for the Epics developments and the Java high level applications. Under investigation are the evaluation of the Xal environment, the development of a triggered acquisition system and the design of an environment to generate the Epics databases from a relational database. Also, the first results obtained are presented.

Physics::Instrumentation and Detectors - Abstract
The ANTARES collaboration propose to observe high energy cosmic neutrinos using a deep sea Cherenkov detector. The sky survey with high energy neutrinos is complementary to the observations with photons and will shed a new light on the understanding of the origin of cosmics rays. We propose to explore the possibility of a km-scale detector to be installed in a deep site in the Mediterranean sea, for which a broad collaboration will be needed. With the help of collaborators and partners which have experience in sea science engineering (COM, CSTN, CTME, IFREMER, France Télécom Câbles, INSU-CNRS...) we will test the sea engineering part of a detector including test deployments close to the Toulon coast (France) where technical support is available and where several sites at depths down to 2500~m are easily accessible. We propose to build and install a demonstrator (a fully equipped 3-dimensional test array) the design of which can be extended to a km-scale detector. During the same time, autonomous systems allowing to measure undersea optical parameters in view of the selection of a site for the future km-scale detector will be realized.

- Abstract
The ANTARES neutrino telescope is a large photomultiplier array designed to detect neutrino-induced upward-going muons by their Cherenkov radiation. Understanding the absorption and scattering of light in the deep Mediterranean is fundamental to optimising the design and performance of the detector. This paper presents measurements of blue and UV light transmission at the ANTARES site taken between 1997 and 2000. The derived values for the scattering length and the angular distribution of particulate scattering were found to be highly correlated, and results are therefore presented in terms of an absorption length;,ab, and an effective scattering length lambda(sct)(eff). The values for blue (UV) light are found to be lambda(abs) similar or equal to 60(26) m, lambda(sct)(eff similar or equal to) 265(122) m, with significant (similar to15%) time variability. Finally, the results of ANTARES simulations showing the effect of these water properties on the anticipated performance of the detector are presented. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

LPSC-si ;; There is currently in the nuclear physics community a strong interest in the use of beams of accelerated radioactive ions. Although a fast glance at the nuclide chart immediately shows the vast unknown territories on the neutron-rich side of the valley of beta stability, only few projects are concerned with the neutron-rich nuclides.The SPIRAL-II program aims at studying the techniques for delivering beams of neutron-rich radioactive nuclidesat energies of a few MeV per nucleon. For that purpose, some study groups have been formed to evaluate the possibility ofsuch a project inthe different components: physics case, target-ion sources, drivers, postacceleration and general infrastructure. The organization of the project study is given at the end of this report. You will find also the name of all the people involved in the study. The following report presents an overview of the study.

The ANTARES collaboration is building a deep sea neutrino telescope in the Mediterranean Sea. This detector will cover a sensitive area of typically 0.1 km-squared and will be equipped with about 1000 optical modules. Each of these optical modules consists of a large area photomultiplier and its associated electronics housed in a pressure resistant glass sphere. The design of the ANTARES optical module, which is a key element of the detector, has been finalized following extensive R & D studies and is reviewed here in detail., 26 pages, 15 figures, to be published in NIM
