Purpose: Early intervention in smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM) requires optimal risk stratification to avoid under- and overtreatment. We hypothesized that replacing bone marrow (BM) plasma cells (PC) for circulating tumor cells (CTC), and adding immune biomarkers in peripheral blood (PB) for the identification of patients at risk of progression due to lost immune surveillance, could improve the International Myeloma Working Group 20/2/20 model. Experimental Design: We report the outcomes of 150 patients with SMM enrolled in the iMMunocell study, in which serial assessment of tumor and immune cells in PB was performed every 6 months for a period of 3 years since enrollment. Results: Patients with >0.015% versus ≤0.015% CTCs at baseline had a median time-to-progression of 17 months versus not reached (HR, 4.9; P 20% BM PCs had no prognostic value in a multivariate analysis that included serum free light-chain ratio >20, >2 g/dL M-protein, and >0.015% CTCs. The 20/2/20 and 20/2/0.015 models yielded similar risk stratification (C-index of 0.76 and 0.78). The combination of the 20/2/0.015 model with an immune risk score based on the percentages of SLAN+ and SLAN− nonclassical monocytes, CD69+HLADR+ cytotoxic NK cells, and CD4+CXCR3+ stem central memory T cells, allowed patient’ stratification into low, intermediate-low, intermediate-high, and high-risk disease with 0%, 20%, 39%, and 73% rates of progression at 2 years. Conclusions: This study showed that CTCs outperform BM PCs for assessing tumor burden. Additional analysis in larger series are needed to define a consensus cutoff of CTCs for minimally invasive stratification of SMM.

El 2 de Octubre de 2021 se realizó el 3er Encuentro de Educadores “Saberes populares, quehaceres musicales”. El mismo fue organizado desde la Cátedra Prácticas Territoriales de Diseño y Gestión de la Tecnicatura en Música Popular conformada por Madres de Plaza Mayo-Línea Fundadora, Fundación Música Esperanza, y la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Resumen: Este trabajo analiza algunos resultados de un estudio exploratorio realizado en cinco escuelas de la ciudad de Santiago de Chile. Las perspectivas de los jóvenes acerca de diversos temas vinculados a la historia se recogieron mediante un cuestionario cerrado de 44 preguntas que respondieron 180 estudiantes de segundo año de Educación Media. La muestra incluye colegios públicos y privados de diversas comunas de la Región Metropolitana. El artículo se concentra específicamente en los resultados obtenidos considerando las primeras seis preguntas del cuestionario, estas preguntas se referían a las formas que adopta el aprendizaje histórico en el contexto escolar. Los resultados de la investigación nos muestran la alta valoración que otorgan los jóvenes al estudio de la historia, el reconocimiento de la sólida vinculación existente entre los problemas históricos y su propia vida, todo lo anterior junto con una notoria presencia de prácticas y formas de aprendizaje de tipo tradicional. La perspectiva teórica desde la que se analizan los resultados releva categorías como aprendizaje histórico, narrativa y conciencia histórica, concibiendo el aprendizaje de la historia como una síntesis de experiencias que superan la formación escolar. Abstract: This paper discusses some results of an exploratory study in five schools in the city of Santiago de Chile. The prospects of young people on various topics related to history were collected through a survey of 44 questions, 180 sophomores in High School participated in the study. The sample includes public and private schools in different districts of the Region Metropolitana. The article is specifically focused on the results obtained in the first six questions in the questionnaire, these questions were related to the forms adopted by historical learning in the school context. The most relevant results show the high value that give young people the study of history, recognition of a strong link between the historical problems and their practical life, all this with a strong presence of practices and forms of learning traditional type. The results were analyzed from a theoretical perspective which emphasizes concepts such as historical learning, narrative and historical consciousness conceiving learning history as a synthesis of experiences that go beyond school education.

El objetivo de esta monografía es analizar el proceso de descentralización de Al Qaeda a causa del debilitamiento de su centro en Afganistán por la intervención militar de la coalición occidental. Se estudia como Al Qaeda deja de ser una organización jerárquica, comenzando a organizarse en red. Estas trasformaciones se pueden explicar a la luz de los principales postulados de la teoría de Guerra en Red, que incluyen la falta de un liderazgo central, y la distribución en enjambre para atacar. Siguiendo la línea argumentativa, finalmente se demuestra que mediante la expansión de la red, Al Qaeda aún bajo su situación de debilidad ha mantenido vigente la yihad trasnacional a través de las organizaciones filiales en África.

STP Networks Inc. is a technology solutions company founded more than nine years ago. Mainly known for its brand EXISTAYA, in the area of digital marketing, it has been designing more effective means of communication for clients. Among its communication tools, the company created a mass email sending platform, whose sales have been increasing significantly since last year. That is why STP Networks Inc. decided to separate its mass email sending platform as an idependent brand called MEGAMAIL. The need for a structured marketing plan became evident. In order to successfully launch and position its new brand in the market, information was required and next steps had to be defined. This paper aims to address this need by preparing a marketing plan that suits the company, providing information of the company´s current environment and business sector and then detailing special items such as: • Market Segmentation • Target Market • Customer profileValue proposition • Price • Advertising and promotions • Customer Service Brand monitoring and development is the most important aspect of this marketing plan. Indicators are proposed in order to determine if the market and financial goals -jointly defined with the company- are being reached, so as to identify strengths and areas for improvement that will enable the brand to succeed.

Tesis (Administrador en Ecoturismo) La presente propuesta, se enmarca dentro de los parámetros de la interpretación ambiental en la educación parvularia y tiene como principal actor a los niños y niñas de segundo ciclo. Menores que tienen cuatro a cinco años de edad y cursan Primer Nivel Transición en un establecimiento educacional, perteneciente a la Junta Nacional de Jardines Infantiles de Chile (JUNJI). La investigación se realizó en el jardín infantil "Mundo feliz", de la comuna de Lo Prado. La propuesta consiste en un programa de actividades al aire libre que integre contenidos sobre el medio ambiente e inserte temáticas de vida saludable al que hacer curricular de la educación inicial, y que posee una duración de diez meses para ser aplicado durante el año escolar. El propósito de la investigación es aportar y apoyar al desarrollo de la educación ambiental desde la primera infancia en la educación parvularia, ya que la mayoría de los hábitos y conductas son adquiridos en esta etapa crucial de la vida del ser humano. Planificando de manera ordenada y creativa las actividades al aire libre, proporcionarán bienestar y conocimiento a los futuros hombres y mujeres. Para llevar a cabo el trabajo se planteó un objetivo general que sustenta el trabajo y del cual derivan cuatro objetivos específicos, los que se van desarrollando con el avance progresivo del estudio, para ello se analizarán de forma independiente y específica. This proposal falls within the parameters of environmental interpretation in early childhood education and its main actor children of second cycle. Children who are four to five years of age and enrolled in First Level Transition in an educational establishment, belonging to the National Kindergarten Board of Chile (JUNJI). Toe research was conducted in kindergarten "Brave New World", in the commune ofLo Prado. The proposal consists of a program of outdoor activities that integrate environmental content and insert healthy living themes that make early childhood education currículum, which has a duration often months to be implemented during the school year. The purpose of the research is to provide and support the development of environmental education from early childhood preschool education, as most of the habits and behaviors are acquired at this crucial stage of human life. Planning an orderly and creative outdoor activities, which provide knowledge to the welfare and future men and women. To carry out the work posed a general objective underlying work and from which they derive four specific objectives, which are developed with the progression of the study. To do so, will be analyzed independently and specifically.

Purpose: Undetectable measurable residual disease (MRD) is a surrogate of prolonged survival in multiple myeloma. Thus, treatment individualization based on the probability of a patient achieving undetectable MRD with a singular regimen could represent a new concept toward personalized treatment, with fast assessment of its success. This has never been investigated; therefore, we sought to define a machine learning model to predict undetectable MRD at the onset of multiple myeloma. Experimental Design: This study included 487 newly diagnosed patients with multiple myeloma. The training (n = 152) and internal validation cohorts (n = 149) consisted of 301 transplant-eligible patients with active multiple myeloma enrolled in the GEM2012MENOS65 trial. Two external validation cohorts were defined by 76 high-risk transplant-eligible patients with smoldering multiple myeloma enrolled in the Grupo Español de Mieloma(GEM)-CESAR trial, and 110 transplant-ineligible elderly patients enrolled in the GEM-CLARIDEX trial. Results: The most effective model to predict MRD status resulted from integrating cytogenetic [t(4;14) and/or del(17p13)], tumor burden (bone marrow plasma cell clonality and circulating tumor cells), and immune-related biomarkers. Accurate predictions of MRD outcomes were achieved in 71% of cases in the GEM2012MENOS65 trial (n = 214/301) and 72% in the external validation cohorts (n = 134/186). The model also predicted sustained MRD negativity from consolidation onto 2 years maintenance (GEM2014MAIN). High-confidence prediction of undetectable MRD at diagnosis identified a subgroup of patients with active multiple myeloma with 80% and 93% progression-free and overall survival rates at 5 years. Conclusions: It is possible to accurately predict MRD outcomes using an integrative, weighted model defined by machine learning algorithms.
