The aluminum sheet behavior after pulse current-assisted rolling was analyzed with hardness, abrasion, and other test methods. The hardness variations and wearability of aluminum sheets at different strain rates were evaluated. The microhardness after pulse current-assisted rolling is shown to significantly increase as compared to traditional cold rolling. The latter first decreases and then increases with the strain rate. The microhardness reaches its minimum [(79.03 ± 2.5)HV0.1] and the specific wear rate attains its maximum (0.00176 mm3/N ·m) when the strain rate ranges 65%. The pulse current-assisted rolling contributes to a lower specific wear rate of the aluminum sheet. It can also enhance the wear resistance, improve the surface lubricity, and reduce the friction coefficient of the aluminum sheet.

The effect of high-density electric current pulse (ECP) on the solidification of Cu-37.4 wt.%Pb monotectic alloy melt was investigated. The microstructure formation mechanisms of ECP were clarified according to liquid metal cluster theory. The results demonstrated that with ECP treatment, the microstructure of Cu-Pb monotectic alloy became finer, the distribution of Pb phase in the matrix was more even and the solute trapping was significantly apparent. Based on the metal liquid cluster theory under ECP, the solid solubility increase result might be due to the salvation clusters increase under the action of pulse current, leading to the binding force increase among solute atoms and solvent atoms. Simultaneously, the aforementioned results were verified through the Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) curve analysis. The results of hardness test, anti-friction test and wear- resistance test show that the ECP can enhance the hardness, improve the properties of anti-friction and wear-resistance of the alloy.

High saturation magnetization and low coercivity are required for soft magnetic materials. This study investigated the Co47.5Fe28.5Ni19Si3.3Al1.7 high-entropy soft magnetic skeleton was prepared by selective laser melting. Then Al was pressure infiltrated into skeletons to obtain a dense composite material. The high-entropy composite materials possessed favorable compressive ductility and moderate soft magnetic properties. The high-entropy composite materials were obtained with Ms being 97.1 emu/g, 79.8 emu/g, 33 emu/g and possessing 19 Oe, 15.8Oe and 17Oe of Hc, respectively. However, the magnetostriction coefficient remains low level, about 5ppm. These reported properties are attributed to the special structure of the material studied in present experiment. Nevertheless, a novel strategy of structural designing was proposed in this paper.

AZ91D magnesium alloy rolled under four rolling conditions, namely cold rolling, electric pulse cold rolling, hot rolling and electric pulse hot rolling, and the first principles calculation of Mg with or without external electric field carried out. The results show that: The application of pulse current in the rolling process of AZ91D magnesium alloy can effectively improve the edge crack of the sample, optimize the texture of AZ91D magnesium alloy and reduce its texture strength, promote the generation of tensile twins and the transition from small Angle grain boundaries to large Angle grain boundaries, and thus improve the plastic forming ability of AZ91D magnesium alloy. Make it more prone to plastic deformation. Compared with ordinary rolling, the microhardness of α-Mg matrix decreases by 15%. The tensile strength and elongation increased from 137MPa and 3.4% to 169MPa and 4.7%, respectively. The results show that the stiffness of Mg decreases and the Poisson's ratio of Mg increases when the electric field applies. When the B/G value is greater than 1.75, the plasticity of Mg is improved. The fault energy at the base surface of Mg does not change much, while the fault energy at the prismatic surface of Mg decreases obviously, showing the external electric field mainly affects the prismatic surface slip of Mg, which makes the prismatic surface slip easier to start, and thus improves the plastic forming ability of Mg.

Herein, we present a simple, easily operated, and inexpensive approach to fabricate superhydrophobic and superoleophilic stainless steel mesh via in-situ growth of copper (Cu) nanoparticles and the hydrophobic modification. The obtained meshes exhibit favorable resistance to mechanical abrasion, corrosive aqueous solutions, and hot water (90 °C). More importantly, the fabricated meshes can be used to separate a series of oil/water mixtures under harsh (hot or corrosive water) conditions with a separation efficiency of over 98%. Besides, the mesh can be designed into an oil collector via loading unmodified polyurethane (PU) sponge in the folded mesh box, which can quickly and selectively remove oil pollutants floating on water surface. Therefore, it can be expected that the as-prepared mesh with good superhydrophobicity and easy operated fabrication process may provide a candidate not only for gravity driven oil/water separation but also for designing many other oil collector.

TaC ceramics with 0.03–0.60 wt% of boron additions were prepared by hot pressing at 2100 °C for 1 h under a pressure of 40 MPa. Effects of boron content on densification, phase composition, microstructure, mechanical properties and oxidation resistance of the TaC ceramics were investigated. When the boron content was 0.12 wt% and above, full density was obtained due to reactions between boron and oxygen impurity at presence of TaC. Minor phases of TaB2 and C were formed in the 0.24 and 0.60 wt% B compositions after gas-out of the oxygen impurity. Microstructure of the TaC ceramics was refined with increasing in boron content. The TaC ceramic with 0.24 wt% of boron showed the best mechanical properties with a Vickers hardness, flexural strength and fracture toughness of 17.7 GPa, 534 MPa and 4.6 MPa m1/2, respectively. When more boron was added, interfacial bonding of the TaC grains was strengthened causing a decrease in fracture toughness. Oxidation resistance of the TaC ceramics increased with boron content. Particularly, the 0.60 wt% B composition showed a weight gain of 0.0018 g/cm2 after oxidization at 800 °C in air for 3 h.

Tantalum carbide ceramics with an overall composition of TaC 0.6 were prepared by hot pressing at 1700 °C for 1 h under 30 MPa pressure with fcc TaC and bcc Ta powder as starting materials. Effects of adding 0–30 mol% Cu on densification, phase formation, microstructural evolution, mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of the obtained composite ceramics were investigated. Full density could be reached at 20 mol% Cu addition and above. Reactions between TaC and Ta resulted in the final phases of hexagonal Ta 2 C and rhombohedral ζ-Ta 4 C 3-x . Plate-shaped ζ laminate grew in both TaC and Ta 2 C and consequently had their sizes confined by the parental grains. Addition of 20–30 mol% Cu could significantly grow the intermediate Ta 2 C grains, hence controlling length of the ζ laminates precipitated in them to form bimodal microstructures consisting of large grains. The 20 mol% Cu composition had a better flexural strength (706 ± 46 MPa) and fracture toughness (9.2 ± 1.7 MPa m 1/2 ). Electrical resistivity at room temperature of the composites decreased with Cu content from 1.03 μΩ m at 0 mol% addition to 0.12 μΩ m at 30 mol% Cu.

TaC-Al2O3 composites were prepared by hot pressing. Influence of Al2O3 content ranging from 10 to 40 vol. % on densification, phase composition, microstructure, mechanical properties and oxidation behavior of the TaC-Al2O3 composites was investigated. With 30 and 40 vol. % Al2O3 addition a closed porosity was achieved. The Al2O3 particles were uniformly distributed among TaC grains retarding grain growth and resulting in refined microstructures with grains below 2 μm in size. The most densified composite with 40 vol. % Al2O3 addition exhibited good mechanical properties with a Vickers’ hardness of 17.8 GPa, a flexural strength of 485 MPa and a fracture toughness of 5.4 MPa·m1/2. After holding at 700°C for 3 h in air, the dense 30 and 40 vol. % Al2O3 compositions showed hardly noticeable and mainly surface oxidation, whereas less densified TaC-Al2O3 composites with 10 and 20 vol. % Al2O3 content and with open porosity were disintegrated to powders.

Tantalum carbide ceramics containing 0.25–3.40 wt% Al as densifying aid were prepared by hot pressing at 1900 °C under 30 MPa for 60 min. Effects of Al addition on densification, phase composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the TaC-Al ceramics were investigated. Al was an effective oxygen getter which reacted with volatile oxygen impurities such as Ta2O5 on surfaces of TaC particles to form non-volatile minor phase of Al2O3, thus slowed TaC grain growth via inhibiting the non-densifying matter transport by evaporation-condensation. When Al content was larger than the value that was needed for complete impurity reaction of 10Al + 3Ta2O5 = 6Ta + 5Al2O3, presence of Al liquid at high temperatures improved densification of the TaC-Al ceramics because Al liquid spread along the grain boundaries and wet the TaC grains. The TaC ceramic with 0.75, 1.50 and 3.40 wt% Al addition reached a relative density value of 91.6, 97.5 and 100%, respectively, with a similar average grain size of 3.5–4.8 μm. Fe impurity dissolved in Al and formed Al6Fe; slight reaction of Al with TaC formed a thin layer of Ta-Al-C compound around TaC grains. The TaC ceramic with 1.50–3.40 wt% Al additions showed good Vickers hardness, Young's modulus and flexural strength in the range of 12.4–13.2 GPa, 413–479 GPa and 532–673 MPa, respectively. Increase in oxidation resistance of TaC ceramics was observed at 600 °C in air with a few percentages of Al additions.

Positron annihilation spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry were used to evaluate the changes of the atomic configurations in Zr-based metallic glasses (MGs) due to alloying and plastic deformation. The correlation between the atomic configurations of MGs and the amorphous-to-icosahedral phase transition due to heating was investigated. The results indicate that the free volume frozen in the as-cast Zr60Al15Ni25, Zr65Al7.5Ni10Cu17.5, and Zr65Al7.5Ni10Cu17.5Ag5 MGs substantially decreases in sequence. More excess free volume is introduced in Zr65Al7.5Ni10Cu17.5Ag5 MG due to cold rolling and milling. The annihilation of free volume due to alloying considerably stabilizes the icosahedral structure of MGs, which enhances the nucleation and growth of quasicrystals upon heating. However, the nucleation and growth of quasicrystals are considerably suppressed in Zr65Al7.5Ni10Cu17.5Ag5 MG due to cold rolling and milling, during which the more introduced excess free volume results in substantial destruction of short-range order with 5-fold symmetry. The present work further provides direct evidence for the prevalence of icosahedral short-range order in MGs.

The fabrication of the materials with special wettability being capable of removing oil layer on water surface and oil droplets in oil-in-water emulsion is an important issue for water pollution. So far, it still remains challenging to explore a simple, facile, environmentally friendly approach for achieving this goal. Herein, inspired by the adhesion of marine mussels, the polydopamine (PDA) coating with hierarchical structure was directly fabricated onto the surface of melamine (MF) sponge by facile self-polymerization in dopamine solution. Then, a superhydrophobic and superoleophilic sponge was successfully obtained after the modification by dodecanethiol (DDT) at ambient temperature. The as-prepared sponge can selectively separate a series of oil droplets in oil-in-water emulsion with high efficiency (transparency: 76.6-93.8%) and absorb various oils or organic solvents up to 45.2-98.6 times of its own weight. Moreover, in conjunction with a vacuum system, great amounts of oils up to 20 times its own weight can be effectively separated from water surface within 1s by the sponge. Due to low cost, simple process, and easy accessibility, the as-prepared sponge has potential applications in oil-in-water emulsion separation and oil spill cleanup.

Fe-6.5 wt.%Si microwires with 40 ∼ 100 μm diameter and 2 ∼ 30 cm length were successfully fabricated by the melt extraction technique. The microwires possess a D-shaped cross-section and exhibit high ductility at room temperature due to rapid solidification inhibiting the formation of ordered phases. The fan-like microstructure, which forms as a result of a fan-like temperature gradient, consists of equiaxed crystals in the centre and columnar crystals along the radial direction. Significant dependence of magnetic moment on the sample spatial orientation with respect to the magnetic field has been observed from M-θ curves, which exhibit a “W” shape from 50 Oe to 7000 Oe due to shape anisotropy effects and a “Double-W” shape from 8000 Oe to 10000 Oe due to a compromise between the demagnetizing field energy (Ed) and external field (Zeeman) energy (Eh).

In this study, superhydrophobic and superoleophilic cotton fibers are fabricated by simple one-step hydrothermal route followed by modification with silane. The obtained fibers show selective sorption ability to the oils from water, high sorption capacities, excellent recyclability, and quick sorption rate. The fibers also exhibit outstanding superhydrophobic stability under a variety of corrosive solutions and hot water, which enables it application for the separation of the oils from harsh water environments. Moreover, the superhydrophobic fibers in conjunction with a tube (valid tube area: 0.5 cm 2 ) that connected to a vacuum system (vacuum pressure: 0.03 MPa) is capable of collecting up to 200 times its self-weight in gasoline within 20 s. The coated fibers can also selectively harvest oils from oil/water mixtures under extreme turbulent condition. More importantly, the coated fibers can separate micron-sized oil droplets from oil-in-water emulsions with a high separation efficiency (transparency for solvent oils: >91%) that is beyond what can be obtained by most traditional separation methods. All these performances make the as-prepared cotton fibers ideally suited for the oil-spill cleanups and water purification.

Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) plays a very important role in the process of microstructure, fracture analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis of micro-area composition, microstructure analysis and so on. With the rapid development of material science and technology, various industries also put forward higher and higher requirements on the technical level of testing. Based on the development background of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), this paper introduces the application of scanning electron microscope in the observation of metal microstructure. Mainly about the characteristics of scanning electron microscope to continuous zooming, equipped with advantages of backscatter diffractometer, large depth of field, is advantageous to the samples from the macroscopic characteristics by combining with the analysis of microstructure, and quantitative analysis to test samples, also can research the fracture morphology of the sample, the recrystallization organization, grain orientation and texture characteristics, etc.

Stoichiometric Tantalum carbide (TaC) ceramics were prepared by reaction spark plasma sintering using 0.333–2.50 mol% Si 3 N 4 as sintering aid. Effects of the Si 3 N 4 addition on densification, microstructure and mechanical properties of the TaC ceramics were investigated. Si 3 N 4 reacted with TaC and tantalum oxides such as Ta 2 O 5 to form a small concentration of tantalum silicides, SiC and SiO 2 , with significant decrease in oxygen content in the consolidated TaC ceramics. Dense TaC ceramics having relative densities >97% could be obtained at 0.667% Si 3 N 4 addition and above. Average grain size in the consolidated TaC ceramics decreased from 11 µm at 0.333 mol% Si 3 N 4 to 4 µm at 2.50 mol% Si 3 N 4 addition. The Young's modulus, Vickers hardness and flexural strength at room temperature of the TaC ceramic with 2.50 mol% Si 3 N 4 addition was 508 GPa, 15.5 GPa and 605 MPa, respectively. A slight decrease in bending strength was observed at 1200 °C due to oxidation of the samples.

Metallic Si as sintering aid was effective in densifying tantalum carbide ceramic (TaC) by spark plasma sintering (SPS) at 1700°C. Full density was reached at 5.0 mol% Si addition (equivalent to 1.088% Si in weight) and above. Enhanced densification of TaC ceramic with Si was associated with decrease in oxygen content from ~0.24 wt% in TaC powder to ~0.03 wt% in consolidated specimen. Rest of the oxygen species was collected at multigrain conjunctions to form SiO2-based liquid at high temperatures. Upon cooling, Ta, Si, O, and C dissolving in the liquid precipitated minor phases of TaSix and SiC of low concentrations. Microstructure of TaC ceramics was refined by the Si addition, with average grain size decreasing from 11±8 μm at 1.0 mol% Si to 3±2 μm at 7.5 mol% Si addition. Ta solute in SiC and Si solute in TaC were evidenced. TaC ceramic containing 7.5 mol% Si had a relatively good flexural strength and fracture toughness of 646±51 MPa and 5.0 MPa·m1/2, respectively.

Exploring novel porous carbon-based materials with improved electrochemical performance is of great importance for their practical application in energy storage systems. Herein, we report a one-step strategy for the synthesis of porous carbon constructed by highly interconnected micro-/mesoporous thin walls, which exhibits excellent capacitive performance in organic electrolyte. The specific capacitance can reach to 208 F/g at 0.75 A /g and still sustain 188 F/g at 10 A/g while the IR drop only increasing from 0.01 to 0.22 V. All of these results suggesting that the as-synthesized porous carbon material is very attractive as electrode material for high-performance supercapacitor.

TaC ceramics were prepared by hot pressing at 1900 °C for 30 min under 30 MPa mechanical pressure. Effects of the addition of 20 mol% ZrC or 5–20 mol% ZrC plus 5 mol% Cu as sintering aids on densification, phase composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the consolidated materials were investigated. The results showed the pure TaC had a relative density of 86%of the theoretical value. Densities >97% theoretical were reached in the materials when the sintering aids were used. ZrC and TaC reacted to form solid solutions. The grain average size decreased from 18 µm in the pure TaC to 6 µm at 20 mol% addition. Addition of 5 mol% Cu further refined the microstructures. The 20 mol% ZrC+5 mol% Cu and the 10 mol% ZrC+5 mol% Cu composition had good flexural strength of 608 MPa and fracture toughness of 5.4 MPa m 1/2 , respectively.

Magnetically superhydrophobic oil sorbent was prepared by directly immobilization of Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles on the surface of kapok fiber and subsequent hydrophobic modification. The results show that the as-prepared fibers demonstrated excellent superhydrophobicity and magnetic responsivity. They also exhibited high separation efficiency for oil/water mixtures and can quickly absorb floating oils on water surface via magnetic driving. Compared with raw fiber, the oil sorption capacity of as-prepared fiber for n -hexane, toluene, chloroform, paraffin oil, gasoline, and diesel can increase by 70.8%, 58.5%, 96.1%, 23%, 37.3%, and 30.5%, respectively. Furthermore, the fibers can be used to continuously separate a large quantity of oil contaminants from water surface by means of a vacuum pump. Importantly, the water contact angel still can reach above 143° after being repeatedly used several times and immersed in various oils and harsh water environments for long time period, implying excellent recyclability and chemical durability in the oil sorption. The findings suggest that the magnetically superhydrophobic kapok fiber has the prospect of potential applications in the removal and recovery of spilled oil contaminants.

Onion husks (Allium cepa L.), an abundant biomass, has been tentatively explored as a renewable carbon source to prepare value-added three-dimensional interconnected porous carbon frameworks (OHCFs) by means of direct carbonization & activation process, and the synthetic procedure is quite simple as easy to be scaled up for industrial applications. The two-electrode symmetric supercapacitor based on the OHCF-2 sample (synthesized from 2 M K 2 CO 3 solution) exhibits excellent electrochemical performance with large specific capacitance (up to 188 F/g at 1 A/g), good cycling stability (92.5% capacity retention after 2000 cycles), small IR drop (0.48 V at 30 A/g), outstanding rate capability (74.9% from 1 A/g to 30 A/g), and unusually high energy densities of 35.4-47.6 Wh/kg at power densities of 675–20250 W/kg in organic electrolyte. This facile, efficient and template-free synthesis strategy holds great promise for preparing novel porous carbons from renewable biomass resources for application in state-of-art energy storage devices.

In this paper, the evolution of solidification microstructure of Cu-40 wt.% Pb monotectic alloy of the third element Ni pair under deep undercooling conditions was studied. By comparing the phenomena of liquid phase separation during deep undercooling and rapid solidification of Cu-40 wt.% Pb monotectic alloy, the melt of the alloy increases with the undercooling, and the solidification structure appears uneven or even stratified. With the addition of the third element Ni, the liquid phase separation can be effectively inhibited by the change of interfacial energy. The solidified structure undergoes the transformation from coarse dendrite to the first kind of granular and refined dendrite in a wide undercooling range. When the undercooling reaches 143 K, the structure begins to show an inhomogeneous trend.

In this study, Cu-SiCp/AZ91D composites were prepared with high-density pulse currents. The wettability between SiCp and matrix during solidification was improved by coating 0.095-μm thick copper film on the surface of SiCp. By comparing the composites prepared with/without pulse currents, the solidification structure and its formation mechanism of Cu-SiCp/AZ91D composites were analyzed under different conditions. The Cu-SiCp/AZ91D composites prepared without high-density pulse currents were mainly composed of α-Mg, β-Mg17Al12, and a small amount of Mg2Si phases, with coarse grains and uneven structures. Under the action of high-density pulse currents, the structures of Cu-SiCp/AZ91D composites were transformed into α-Mg and Mg2Si phases with refined grain, and the homogeneity of the structures was improved significantly.

The corrosion behavior of Mg-Zn-Ca amorphous alloys in simulated body fluid is of academic and engineering interests since they are potential biomaterials. The influence of the crystallized structure of the Mg67Zn28Ca5 amorphous alloy on the corrosion behavior in simulated body fluid (SBF) is investigated. The different crystallized structures were obtained by heating the amorphous sample to temperatures of 100 °C~300 °C. The results reveal that the amorphous Mg67Zn28Ca5 alloy shows better corrosion resistance in SBF than partially crystallized samples, and homogeneous chemical corrosion occurs on the surface of the amorphous alloy. In contrast, inhomogeneous galvanic corrosion occurs on the surfaces of the partially crystallized Mg67Zn28Ca5 sample; and the corroded surface becomes more rugged with increasing the crystallized temperature. The corrosion rate (Vcorr) of the Mg67Zn28Ca5 amorphous alloy in SBF shows a nearly linear relation with the crystallized volume fraction (CVF), i.e., Vcorr= −8.38+96.23CVF, indicating that its corrosion behavior is readily tuned by crystallization.

In this paper, Cu/Al laminated composite was prepared by adopting the pulse current-assisted rolling method, and the microstructure and mechanical properties of the material were investigated. The results showed that the Cu/Al laminated composite with pulsed current was significantly strengthened. The composite interface of Cu/Al laminated composite with pulse current-assisted rolling was found without intermetallic phase, and its bonding mode was mainly mechanical combined. The number of reticulated ridges increased at the shear interface. The small cracks on the copper surface were firmly embedded in the aluminum metal. There were obvious folds on the copper surface without aluminum embedding. The structural change of the bonding interface increases the contact area between copper sheet and aluminum sheet, thereby enhancing the bonding strength of the Cu/Al laminated composite.

Unlike activated carbon, graphene sheets are lack of ion pathways on their basal planes and prone to agglomerate or restack unfortunately for their strong π − π interactions between neighboring sheets. All of which will pose significant obstacles for its application in high performance supercapacitors. Herein, we report a simple and fast strategy for the scalable synthesis of hierarchical honeycomb-like porous graphene–carbon nanotubes hybrid (PGCTs) through a simple laser induced self-propagating reaction process and subsequent activation with low amount of KOH without any template. Benefiting from properly integration of large surface area, hierarchical pore structures, in-plane nanopores and CNTs nanospacers, the as-obtained PGCTs based symmetrical supercapacitor exhibits outstanding electrochemical performance with super capacitance, excellent rate capability, and desirable cyclability.

Activated carbon materials have been playing a significant role in addressing the challenges posed with the ever-increasing demand for alternative clean and sustainable energy technologies. In the present study, a facile strategy is proposed for generating porosity in porous carbons by using carton box as the precursor and eutectic NaOH–KOH melt as the activating agent. The prepared carbon materials have a very high specific surface area up to 2731 m2 g−1 with large pore volume of 1.68 cm3 g−1, which is greater than that of only KOH was used at the same mass ratio. Electrochemical studies based on symmetric supercapacitor devices demonstrating that the NaOH–KOH melt activated porous carbon exhibits significantly improved rate capability in the range of 0.5–75 A g−1 despite of the similar specific capacitance with respect to KOH activated carbon at a low current density of 0.5 A g−1. The remarkable deviations in capacitive behavior at high current density for the NaOH–KOH melt activated porous carbon and KOH activated samples highlighting the specific surface area is not the only parameter that determines the capacitive performance especially at high charge–discharge rate.

Superhydrophobic and superoleophilic material was successfully prepared by the coating of Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) onto the surface of cotton textile and subsequent hydrophobic modification. The formation of PVA with rough structure and hydrophobicity was confirmed with scanning electron microscopy and investigation of the wetting behavior of water on the textile. The coated textile is water repellant and can be used as a material for separating various oil/water mixture with a high separation efficiency up to 91%. Due to its simple fabrication process, low cost, excellent recyclability and durability, and high separation efficiency, the as-prepared textile can be considered as promising material for practical oil/water separation.

Inspired by the bioadhesion of marine mussels, superhydrophobic cotton fiber for oil sorption was fabricated by robust immobilization of silica nanoparticles on the fiber surface via polydopamine adhesion and subsequent hydrophobic modification. The as-prepared fiber can quickly absorb a series of oils and organic pollutants. Compared with raw fiber, the increasing rate of oil sorption capacity of the as-prepared fiber for n-hexane, toluene, chloroform, linseed oil, paraffin oil, and crude oil can reach 39.8%, 35.2%, 29.4%, 39.3%, 41.7%, and 34.0%, respectively. The modified fiber displayed excellent oil/water selectivity in the removal of various oils from water. Furthermore, the resulting fiber can be recycled more than 80 times without obvious loss of oil sorption capability. These results demonstrate that the as-prepared oil sorbent is promising in environmental remediation for large-scale removal of spilled oils from water.
