It is a way to reuse solid waste by using dredged silt as raw material to prepare unburned wrap shell lightweight aggregates and replacing crushed stone aggregate to prepare unburned wrap shell lightweight aggregates concrete specimen. In order to understand the characteristics of wrap shell lightweight aggregates concrete, this paper adopts the method of combining laboratory test and numerical simulation to design the mix ratio test scheme of concrete specimens with different substitution rates of wrap shell aggregate (0 %, 25 %, 50 %, 75 %, 100 %), and conducts indoor mechanical properties test and numerical simulation simulation test on them, so as to obtain and analyze the mechanical properties and failure characteristics.The results show that:(1) The peak stress intensity of concrete specimens decreases linearly with the increase of the substitution rate of wrap shell aggregate.(2) The peak stress of concrete under different wrap shell round aggregate substitution rates is normally distributed, and the dispersion of peak strength decreases with the increase of wrap shell aggregate substitution rate. When the substitution rate is 0 %, the dispersion of peak strength is the largest.(3) Under the uniaxial compression simulation test, the failure mode of concrete specimens changes with the addition of the substitution rate of wrap shell aggregate. When the crack failure occurs, natural coarse aggregate with high strength is chosen to bypass, while when it comes to wrap shell aggregate with low strength, it is chosen to penetrate. With the continuous addition of round aggregate, the stress concentration phenomenon inside concrete can be effectively improved and the number of micro-cracks can be reduced.But at the same time, the penetration cracks gradually increase and gradually tend to be straight.The fractal dimension is negatively correlated with the compressive strength and positively correlated with the substitution rate of wrap shell aggregate.The above research can provide theoretical basis for the popularization of recycled concrete with wrap shell aggregate.

In this study, solid waste titanium gypsum (TG) was used as raw material to design the basic mix ratio of aggregate, and TG artificial aggregate (TGA) was prepared based on alkali-activated cold bonding technology. The effects of different additives (slag, silica fume, and fly ash) on the properties of TGA were preliminarily investigated by using NaOH as activator in laboratory test, and the additives of TG aggregate were determined. Furthermore, the aggregate mix ratio was designed based on the additive, and the physical and mechanical properties, X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy analysis, and dry–wet cycle test of artificial aggregate were carried out. The results show that the artificial aggregate prepared by the same process and the aggregate prepared by silica fume as an additive has a high balling rate; it is technically feasible to use TG as the main raw material, silica fume as an additive, and NaOH as an activator to select a suitable mix ratio to prepare artificial aggregates. The microscopic test results reveal the internal products and structural degradation process of TG aggregate.

Aggregate is the basic component of concrete, and its shape and surface properties largely determine the mechanical properties and durability of concrete. In order to further study the mesoscopic influence of aggregate shape on concrete interfacial phase, this study focuses on two aggregate shapes, circular and polygonal, and the elastic modulus and hardness of interfacial phase of specimens with different aggregate shapes were obtained by nano-indentation technology, and the mesoscopic component partition was quantified. Based on Gaussian statistical theory, the distribution model of nanomechanical properties of each phase was established, and the influence of aggregate shape on mechanical properties was studied by SEM test. The results show that (1) The width of the interfacial zone of natural rounded aggregate (∼50 μm) is slightly smaller than that of polygonal aggregate (∼60 μm), and the modulus of elasticity and hardness of the interfacial zone corresponding to the rounded aggregate (e.g., interfacial transition zone (E,H) ∼ (23.65 GPa, 0.9 GPa)) are larger than that of the interfacial zone of polygonal aggregate (interfacial transition zone (E,H) ∼ (21.66 GPa, 0.73 GPa)), indicating that the micromechanical properties of the interfacial zone of the circular aggregate are better than those of the polygonal aggregate; (2) The hydration products in the transition zone of the interface of different shapes of aggregates are almost the same, indicating that the influence of the shape of aggregates on the performance of concrete is mainly due to its own geometric characteristics. Based on the findings of the study, the direction of future research can focus on modeling with further refinement of the influence of aggregate shape parameters, such as shape factor and surface roughness, on the performance of concrete, so as to facilitate more accurate prediction and regulation of the performance of concrete. This study provides theoretical references for the design of aggregate proportioning and the simulation technology of fine data values in actual projects, and also provides theoretical basis and technical support for the standardization and performance evaluation of concrete materials.

To improve the stability of cemented sand and gravel (CSG) dam construction materials, artificial aggregates can be selected to replace missing natural aggregates, and aggregate grading optimization can be carried out to meet the needs of engineering applications. This article uses finite-element analysis software to explore the influence of aggregate characteristics on the performance and destruction characteristics of CSG materials through numerical simulation. The results show that (1) with the increase of circular natural sand gravel aggregates, the peak stress and elastic modulus of the sample increase, while the strength also increases. (2) Compared to circular aggregates, polygonal aggregates have more edges and corners, which exacerbate the deformation disharmony between mortar and aggregates; the phenomenon of stress concentration is more obvious, so under the same loading step, the degree of damage of polygonal aggregates is greater than that of circular aggregates. (3) After the freeze–thaw cycle test, the deterioration of parameters in the CSG resulted in more severe damage and strength loss of the crushed stone aggregate than the circular aggregate sample. This conclusion can provide a reference for the design of CSG mix ratio in engineering sites.

The adhesive drug delivery device has been design to prevent the leakage of irrigation drugs and improve the patient comfort. Cemented sand and gravel (CSG) is a new type of dam-building material. Aiming at the cumbersome process and long calculation time of traditional methods to invert the meso-parameters, a mesophase parameter inversion method based on Box-Behnken Design response surface was proposed. By constructing a response surface simulation test scheme with different inversion parameters (elastic modulus of aggregates, mortars and interfaces, and interfacial tensile strength), the stochastic aggregate model is used to complete the numerical simulation of the damage process, and different results are obtained. The equation between the response variable (stress at different loading times) and the independent variable (inversion parameter) was verified, and the rationality of the response model was verified; the action mechanism of mesophase parameters at different stages on the mechanical properties of the specimen was analysed. The test results are brought into the response surface model, and the meso-parameters are obtained by inverse analysis. The stress–strain curve obtained by numerical simulation with this parameter has an error of 1.1% at the peak stress and 3.27% at the peak strain. The accuracy is high, the number of test groups is much smaller than other conventional inversion methods, and has feasibility of application in CSG.

Hydraulic transients in long-distance pressurized water pipelines significantly impact their normal operation. This study develops a one-dimensional mathematical model for pressurized water pipelines using the method of characteristics and incorporates water hammer equations for dual-pipeline systems. The model is validated with experimental data, and simulations are conducted under real engineering conditions, focusing on valve closure operations. The analysis examines the transient responses for varying valve closure times (T) and the effect of installing surge tanks. Results show that increasing valve closure time and installing surge tanks both mitigate water hammer impacts. Specifically, when valve closure time exceeds 300 seconds, surge tanks reduce maximum pressure below the pipeline's tolerance (Pmax) and decrease the number of nodes experiencing damaging negative pressures. In order to achieve a comprehensive evaluation of ash characterization of burning cigarette and make the evaluate results concrete, the gray scale, crack rate, shrinkage rate, width of char line, and uniformity of char line measurement results of 49 cigarettes were used as the primitive variables. Firstly, K-means clustering and fuzzy discriminant analysis were used to convert the primitive variables into concrete score data, then the weight of each indicator was assigned by critical weighting method, and a comprehensive evaluation method was established. The results indicated that converting the primitive variables into scores ranging from 60 to 100 with an average value of around 80 could make the evaluate results concrete and consistent with cognitive habits. The weight of the five indicators, from high to low, was as follows: crack rate (0.27) > shrinkage rate (0.25) > gray scale (0.18) > uniformity of char line (0.16) > width of char line (0.14). The comprehensive ash characterization of burning cigarette could be divided into three levels: excellent, good, and poor, the score range of each level was (85, 100], [75, 85], and [60, 75), respectively, the comparison of bar charts of representative cigarettes of different levels proved that the comprehensive score could objectively reflect the advantages and disadvantages of the ash characterization of burning cigarette. We report the high NH3 uptake in a series of copper-carboxylate materials, namely MFM-100, MFM-101, MFM-102, MFM-126, MFM-127, MFM-190(F), MFM-170, and Cu-MOP-1a. At 273 K and 1 bar, MFM-101 shows an exceptional uptake of 21.9 mmol g−1. In order to quantitatively describe the influence of aggregate distribution on crack development and peak stress of recycled aggregate concrete, a multifractal spectrum theory was proposed to quantitatively characterize aggregate distribution in specimens. A mesomechanical model of reclaimed aggregate concrete mixed with natural aggregate and artificial aggregate was constructed. Numerical simulation tests were conducted on the uniaxial compression mechanical behavior of 25 groups of sample models with the same proportion and different aggregate distribution forms. Based on the box dimension theory, the multiple fractal spectrum method was used to quantitatively characterize the aggregate distribution form, and the key factors affecting cracks were explored based on the gray correlation degree. The research results show that the aggregate distribution in recycled aggregate concrete has multifractal characteristics. The multifractal spectrum was used to effectively characterize the aggregate distribution pattern, which can enlarge local details and provide new ideas for the quantitative analysis of the damage mode of recycled concrete. Secondly, by establishing a statistical model of the correlation between the multifractal spectrum width of the aggregate distribution pattern and the crack distribution box dimension, it was found that there was a positive correlation between the two, that is, the greater the multifractal spectrum width of the aggregate distribution pattern, the greater the crack box dimension, and the more complex the crack distribution. The complexity of aggregate distribution is closely related to the irregularity and complexity of mesoscopic failure crack propagation in recycled concrete specimens. In addition, gray correlation theory was applied to analyze the key factors affecting the formation of cracks in the specimens. The results showed that aggregate distribution had a first-order correlation with crack formation, and changes in aggregate distribution were an important factor affecting the performance of recycled concrete. Secondly, the poor mechanical properties of NAITZ led to obvious material damage, while NCA and MZ had a significant impact on the skeleton effect in the stress–strain process due to their large areas. This study deepens people's understanding of the damage characteristics and cracking failure modes of recycled concrete. In this study, a multilayer composite rolling model consisting of a rolling wheel, a protective layer, a GCL, and a support layer was constructed by the discrete element method (DEM). Soil compaction and gravel migration, and their effects on the GCL, were analyzed from a fine viewpoint, and three key indexes for the safety assessment of the GCL were proposed: local elongation, gravel embedment value, and bentonite allotment number. The results show that the soil porosity and cumulative settlement do not decrease all the time with the number of rolling passes, and there exists an optimal number of rolling passes during the rolling process; the protective layer of gravel soil moves more frequently than the support layer; and the nearly rectangular and nearly elliptical gravels are more likely to rotate. The maximum local elongation of the GCL was 3.79% during the lapping process, and all gravels in contact with the upper boundary of the GCL extruded the GCL to varying degrees during the lapping process. Titanium has been widely used as a bone implant material due to its high mechanical strength and good biocompatibility. However, implant-related infections and insufficient osteogenic activity can lead to implant failure or delay patient recovery. With this in mind, we fabricated one multifunctional implant coating material, PDA-NOate@CuS. In the as-developed material, CuS, deposited in the outermost layer, not only significantly improved the photothermal properties of polydopamine (PDA), but also released Cu ions to effectively prevent bacterial adhesion. The NO-donor (NOate) under near-infrared irradiation generated NO which strengthened the antibacterial effect of materials. The in vitro antibacterial experiments proved that PDA-NOate@CuS displayed an excellent S. aureus and E. coli inhibitory effect. MC3T3-E1 cell experiment results showed that PDA-NOate@CuS promoted cell adhesion, growth and mineralization. Moreover, the in vivo study demonstrated that a titanium implant coated with Ti@PDA-NOate/CuS markedly enhanced osseointegration and inhibited infection, with good biocompatibility.
