The Cryogenian–Ediacaran strata in the Kuruktag block, northeastern Tarim Craton, are pivotal for deciphering the breakup of Neoproterozoic Rodinia and related peripheral subduction processes. This study reveals previously unidentified Ediacaran strata in the western Kuruktag block, characterized by deltaic plain clastic rocks and channel deposits. Zircon geochronological analyses of basalts and sandstones indicate a maximum depositional age of ~596 Ma, thereby attributing these strata to the Ediacaran Yukengou Formation in conjunction with prior paleontological findings. The prevalence of lithic fragments and two primary detrital zircon age populations within the Yukengou Formation sandstones suggest a rift basin environment, in contrast to a passive continental margin, receiving detrital material from the neighboring Paleoproterozoic basement and Neoproterozoic magmatic activity. As a result, the Cryogenian–Ediacaran strata are posited to have been deposited in an aulacogen basin. The presence of numerous Neoproterozoic zircon grains further implies significant volcanic events preceding and concurrent with Cryogenian rifting, suggesting that continental rifting along the northeastern Tarim margin may have been instigated by subduction-induced extension. Based on the problem of shape-preserving property of complex geometry shape preform, a kind of new fabric with thermal bonding layers was designed in our work. From the apparent view, it can be seen that the carbon cloth was attached with a layer of thermal bonding layer structure. The two adjacent carbon fabrics can be bonded together by the thermal bonding layers through hot press actions. Because of the particular characteristics, this type of fabrics can help to achieve the overall integrity of complex geometry shape preform. This kind of particular fabric with thermal bonding layers was prepared by 3D weaving process using carbon fiber and thermoplastic nylon fiber. To evaluate the effect of thermal bonding layers on shape-preserving property of fabric, the fabrics were prepared with five different contents of thermoplastic nylon fiber. And the pure carbon cloth without thermoplastic nylon fiber was also prepared as control group. The shape-preserving property of fabric was evaluated by single-wing springback test and fabric peeling test in the 0° and 90° direction. The experimental results show that the effect on shape-preserving property of fabric enhanced with the increase of contents of thermoplastic nylon fiber, and the shape-preserving property of fabric was more significant in 0° direction compared with 90° direction. The boundary and relation of the Tarim Craton to the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB) and its role in the formation history of the CAOB remain controversial. This article presents ages and Hf-in-zircon isotopic and geochemical results for gabbroic, dioritic, and granitic plutons from the northern margin of Tarim Craton (NMTC), and discusses their petrogenesis and tectonic regimes as well as the boundary between the CAOB and the Tarim Craton. These plutons yield zircon ages of 424–385 Ma. In the Quruqtagh zone south of the Xinger Fault, the gabbroic pluton shows enrichment in LREEs and LILEs, depletion in HFSEs and positiveεHf(t) values (+4.0 to +11.4), suggesting that parental magmas of gabbros were likely derived by partial melting of a depleted mantle wedge previously metasomatized by slab-derived aqueous fluids. In the Hulashan Zone north of the Xinger Fault, the studied rocks include one dioritic pluton and three granitic plutons. The geochemical characteristics and petrogenesis of the dioritic pluton are similar to those of the studied gabbroic with positiveεHf(t) values (+3.0 to +9.4). The three granitic plutons display relative depletion in HFSEs and enrichment in LILEs. Their variableεHf(t) values range from −2.1 to +8.9, withTDM2ages of 858–1503 Ma, suggesting complex crustal sources with different proportions of juvenile and ancient materials. This article confirms and evidences an Andean-style active continental margin of the Tarim Craton due to southward subduction of the South Tianshan Ocean. Furthermore, our Hf isotopic data, together with regional data from the literature, show that the Hulashan zone to the north to the Xinger Fault has younger continental materials in deep than these of NMTC south of the fault, and is similar to microcontinental fragments in the CAOB. Nowadays, a large number of land reclamation projects have been carried out or in the process of construction in coal mining areas of Xinjiang, and it is necessary to build up classification index and discriminant model to evaluate the suitability of land reclamation, for reducing the destruction of land and sustaining the development of coal mine. This article focused on the research of the theory of suitability evaluation of land reclamation and established a discriminant model that was used for the evaluation of coal mining areas in Xinjiang. The main type of destructed land in Xinjiang was grassland and bare land, so the land reclamation suitability evaluation was aimed at grassland. The results of land reclamation evaluation were divided into the most suitable, moderately suitable, barely suitable and unsuitable. One of the core issues of land reclamation is to construct evaluation index system. Taking 15 coal mines in Xinjiang as the research subjects, based on Bayes discrimination analysis, the factors of suitability evaluation of land reclamation of mines were analyzed; combined with the characteristics of land destruction and ecological geography of coal mines in Xinjiang, 7 factors such as the slope of land reclamation unit after land destruction, the depth of land destruction or the deposit amount of land occupancy, the guaranteed rate of soil for land reclamation, the clay content in soil, the thickness of topsoil, river runoff for irrigation of land reclamation unit and the content of organic matter in soil were selected as the evaluation factors. Each evaluation factor quantization value was taken from the measured value and the related report data. The 76 land reclamation units of 15 coal mines were used as the study samples. The Q clustering analysis method was used to classify 76 samples. The clustering analysis used the method of average connection to define the distance of categories for merging samples, and the distance was measured by the squared Euclidean distance. The results showed that the best plan was the 4 categories. Compared with the code, the classification results of this method were more realistic and accurate. By taking the 76 land reclamation units of 15 coal mines in Xinjiang as the training samples, the Bayes discriminant model for suitability evaluation of land reclamation of coal mining areas in Xinjiang was established. This model was composed of 4 discriminant functions. Every sample was tested by using the resubstitution method, and the correct rate was equal to 98.7%. The discriminant model was applied to 2 coal mines in Xinjiang. The results showed that the classification results were entirely consistent with the neural network method and the combination of factor and clustering analysis. The classification results complied with the classification result range of the code and were more accurate and realistic. The results of the modelling test and calculation have proved that the structure of Bayes discriminant is stable, and the discriminant effect is ideal. This model has strong analysis ability for suitability evaluation of land reclamation in coal mining areas of Xinjiang. The biggest difference between the results of evaluation model and the code was that results of evaluation model are more specific and detailed than that of code, especially in barely suitable category and unsuitable category. The classification results of this model are more accurate. This evaluation model can be widely used in suitability evaluation for land reclamation of coal mining areas in Xinjiang. This article discusses a novel variant of the ABO*B.01 allele, called c.505C>T, which is associated with a Bel phenotype. The ABO system is a complex blood group system that includes various variants. The study describes the case of a Chinese individual with the Bel phenotype and identifies the c.505C>T variant through genetic sequencing. This variant results in a truncated protein and diminished glycosyltransferase B activity, leading to limited detection of B antigen. In this article, we report whole-rock and mineral Sm–Nd isotopic and whole-rock elemental and Sr–Nd isotopic data of Xingdi No. 1 mafic–ultramafic intrusion in the western Kuluketage block, north-eastern Tarim. Xingdi No. 1 mafic–ultramafic intrusion is the largest in the Xingdi mafic–ultramafic belt, with an exposed area of ca. 20 km2. It intruded into the Palaeoproterozoic basement. Gabbro is the major rock type and there is minor olivine pyroxenite. Sm–Nd geochronometry of the gabbro gives an isochron age of 761.2 ± 31.2 million years, identical to the intrusive age of Xingdi No. 2 pluton (760 ± 6 million years). The gabbro is systematically enriched in large ion lithosphile elements and light rare earth elements and depleted in high field strength elements and heavy rare earth elements. The studied rocks are characterized by low whole-rock and mineral ϵNd(t) values (−7.8 to −7.1) and elevated (87Sr/86Sr) i values (0.7066–0.7073). These geochemical characteristics, together with the presence of abundant hornblende, biotite, bladed biotite enclosed in amphibole, and crescent-shaped Palaeoproterozoic wall-rock xenoliths in the intrusion, are key features of magma mixing in the source or assimilation during its emplacement. The rocks have a Zr/Y ratio of 3.81–13, which falls in the within-plate basalt area. As Xingdi No. 1 and No. 2 plutons formed at the same period and display similar geochemical characteristics, we propose that they formed within the same tectonic setting and were derived from the same source, but No. 1 pluton experienced a higher extent of evolution and contamination. Previous studies have shown that the Neoproterozoic tectonic and magmatic events in Kuluketage comprise syn-collisional granite around TC (ca. 1.0–0.9 Ga), post-collisional K-rich granite and alkaline mafic–ultramafic intrusions (ca. 830–800 Ma), and rifting-related mafic–ultramafic plutons, dikes, and bimodal volcanic rocks (ca. 774–744 Ma).
