Abstract: This paper investigates the mechanical properties at the interface of the coating–substrate system, which comprises the electroless nickel–phosphorus (Ni–P) coating and the aluminum matrix composite substrate reinforced by the silicon carbide particles (SiCp/Al), and is used for the space mirror. To estimate the adhesion of Ni–P coating on SiCp/Al substrate, the scratch adhesion testing has been performed by drawing a spherically tipped diamond indenter with a radius of 200μm over the coated surface. The influence of the coating thickness on the interfacial stress induced by the inertial accelerations, temperature gradients and thermal soaks has been evaluated by simulation analysis based on the finite element method. The results of the scratch testing indicate that the adhesion strength of Ni–P coating to SiCp/Al composite is more than 3.0GPa. Compared the maximum value of the interfacial stress obtained by simulation analysis with results of the scratch testing, it is can be seen that the mirror has enough safety margin. Furthermore, the most significant conclusion that can be drawn from this work is that the coating thickness should not exceed 45μm in order to ensure the performance and reliability of Ni–P coating and SiCp/Al substrate system for space applications. Abstract: This paper focused on the application of finite element analysis in the design and validation of a space-based lightweight mirror. Reaction-bonded silicon carbide (RB SiC) and silicon carbide particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites (SiCp/Al) were selected as candidate materials for the mirror, and the finite element model created by discretizing the mirror assembly was employed to predict the performance of the mirror. The results indicated that RB SiC offered more excellent characteristics relative to other traditional materials and was a better candidate for space application in comparison with SiCp/Al. It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the mechanical properties of deep rock for the construction of deep rock engineering. There have been few studies on the relationship between the macromechanics and microdamage of deep hard rock and few reports on damage constitutive models of rock with full consideration of residual strength. The macroscopic mechanical behavior of granodiorite in a deep tunnel in western China was studied by uniaxial and triaxial compression tests in the laboratory. On this basis, the damage nature of the rock is fully analyzed and a microdamage constitutive model of the rock considering the residual strength characteristics is established by coupling the macromechanical behavior with the microdamage mechanism. Finally, the damage evolution process of the rock is analyzed. The results show that the confining pressure has a significant effect on the deformation failure characteristics and damage mechanism of the rock. With increasing confining pressure, the damage of the rock is restrained, and the failure mode of the rock transforms from tensile failure and tensile-shear failure to shear failure. The proposed damage constitutive model with definite physical meaning can fully reflect the whole deformation and failure process of the rock, including residual strength characteristics, and the results are in good agreement with the test results. The damage evolution process of the rock can be divided into an undamaged stage, a damage acceleration stage, a damage deceleration stage, and a complete damage stage. The analytical method of combining macro- and micromechanics mechanisms in this paper is reasonable, and the research results provide a theoretical reference for the construction of deep rock engineering. We had successfully fabricated CuInSe 2 (CIS) thin film by electro-deposition technique. Electro-deposited ternary selenide precursor was thermally annealed under nitrogen conditions to form CuInSe 2 films. The structure, composition, chemical state and optical characterization of CuInSe 2 films were measured using several techniques, including Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Atomic force microscopy (AFM), Atomic emission spectroscopy (AES), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Ultraviolet Spectrophotometry (UV) and electrochemical workstation. The results showed that the CuInSe 2 thin films formed using electro-deposition had dense grain structure whose size was various with the increase of the deposited voltage and annealing temperature. The band gap of CuInSe 2 was 1.43 eV when deposition voltage was 1.7 V, and CIS film exhibited the most excellent property. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Gel polymer electrolytes containing N-butyl-N-methylpyrrolidinum bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (PYR14TFSI) ionic liquid are prepared by the solution casting method. Thermal and electrochemical properties have been determined for these gel polymer electrolytes. The electrical properties are investigated in detail by the linear sweep voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy with the aid of the equivalent circuit fitting of the impedance spectra. The results show that the studied electrolytes have good self-standing characteristics, and also a sufficient level of thermal stability and a good electrochemical window. The conductivity increases with increasing amount of mixture, and for the studied system, the highest value of the conductivity measured at room temperature is 4.0×10−4 Scm−1. The lithium ions transference number reaches the maximum value when the gel electrolyte contains 33.3wt% PYR14TFSI ionic liquid. Based on the experiments, measurements and fitting, the models describing the lithium ion transmission and the properties of electrolyte/electrode interface are developed. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

A systematic proteomic quantification of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) colorectal cancer tissues from stage I to stage IIIC was performed in large scale. 1017 proteins were identified with 338 proteins in quantitative changes by label free method, while 341 proteins were quantified with significant expression changes among 6294 proteins by iTRAQ method. We found that proteins related to migration expression increased and those for binding and adherent decreased during the colorectal cancer development according to the gene ontology (GO) annotation and ingenuity pathway analysis (IPA). The integrin alpha 5 (ITA5) in integrin family was focused, which was consistent with the metastasis related pathway. The expression level of ITA5 decreased in metastasis tissues and the result has been further verified by Western blotting. Another two cell migration related proteins vitronectin (VTN) and actin-related protein (ARP3) were also proved to be up-regulated by both mass spectrometry (MS) based quantification results and Western blotting. Up to now, our result shows one of the largest dataset in colorectal cancer proteomics research. Our strategy reveals a disease driven omics-pattern for the metastasis colorectal cancer.
