Abstract Background The status of dental caries is closely related to changes in the oral microbiome. In this study, we compared the diversity and structure of the dental plaque microbiome in children with severe early childhood caries (S-ECC) before and after general anaesthesia and outpatient treatment. Methods Forty children aged 3 to 5 years with S-ECC who had completed whole-mouth dental treatment under general anaesthesia (C1) or in outpatient settings (C2) were selected, 20 in each group. The basic information and oral health status of the children were recorded, and the microbial community structure and diversity of dental plaque before treatment (C1, C2), the day after treatment(C2_0D), 7 days after treatment (C1_7D, C2_7D), 1 month after treatment (C1_1M, C2_1M), and 3 months after treatment (C1_3M, C2_3M) were analysed via 16 S rRNA high-throughput sequencing technology. Results (1) The alpha diversity test showed that the flora richness in the multiappointment group was significantly greater at posttreatment than at pretreatment (P 0.05). Laminaria japonica (LJ) is a common seaweed, which has been widely used as functional food and medicine, but its pharmaceutical activities in angiogenic regulation are unclear. Here, different lines of studies provide evidence to the suppressive effects of LJ extract in VEGF-medicated angiogenic function. In cellular level, LJ extract significantly inhibited VEGF-mediated endothelial cell proliferation, migration, invasion and tube formation. For in vivo verification, LJ extract suppressed the VEGF-induced formation of sub-intestinal vessels in zebrafish embryo model. In signalling cascades, LJ extract decreased the amount of phosphorylated VEGF receptor-2, as triggered by VEGF, and subsequently some key related downstream elements were obviously inactivated. In parallel, NO production and ROS formation, as induced by VEGF, were significantly attenuated. Thus, these preclinical findings promoted the possible development of LJ extract as a potential therapeutic agent for prevention and clinical treatment of angiogenesis-related diseases.

The core strategy for national development in the new era is the establishment of an ecological civilization. In contrast, the overall understanding of the three concerns facing rural communities in the new era is the rural revitalization strategy. The paper examines the present state of the linkage development between constructing an ecological civilization and implementing a rural revitalization strategy in rural areas. It does this by developing an evaluation index system and drawing on the theoretical underpinnings of the linkage development between the two strategies (rural revitalization strategy and ecological civilization construction). The entropy value approach is used to compute the comprehensive index and determine the weights of each index. The coupling and coordination degree models are used to measure the coordination degree and coupling correlation of the two, and the correlation factors between them are analyzed by constructing the gray correlation model. The findings indicate that overall, County A’s rural revitalization development level between 2012 and 2021 tends to be better, although overall levels are not very high. The comprehensive index of development for rural revitalization goes from 0.194 in 2012 to 0.754 in 2021. Yearly fluctuations in ecological civilization-building are evident, with the complete index of ecological civilization construction rising from 0.380 in 2012 to 0.945 in 2021. The overall trend is slowly increasing when the coupling coordination degree of 0.610 from 2015 is taken as a limit, but high-quality coordination is still a significant distance away.

Background With the accelerated aging process, the incidence of dementia is increasing year by year, but there is no effective cure and the prognosis is poor. The cognitive function is still plastic during subjective cognitive decline (SCD) , which as a preclinical stage of dementia, it is of great significance for the prevention and management of dementia to investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of SCD. Objective To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of SCD, MCI and dementia in population aged 60 and above in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. Methods From June 2021 to September 2022, a cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 1 120 objects in 21 neighborhood councils and 17 village committees randomly selected from 3 banner counties (Hondlon District, Jiuyuan District and Guyang County) of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region by using the combination of multistage sampling, cluster sampling and random sampling. General information of the study subjects were collected by questionnaire and their cognitive function was assessed. According to cognitive function, the study subjects were divided into the normal group (n=206) , SCD group (n=491) , MCI group (n=320) and dementia group (n=103) . Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of cognitive function. Results The median age of the study subjects was 68.0 (63.0, 73.0) years and the median number of years of education was 9.0 (5.0, 11.4) years. Abstract Background We aim to establish the characteristics of published cardio‐oncology research of clinical trials by bibliometric analysis and to talk about the prospects and difficulties facing the development of cardio‐oncology. Methods Search of data related to clinical trials in cardiac oncology from 1990 to 2022 from the Web of Science core collection. Using CiteSpace to perform co‐citation analysis of authors, countries (regions) and institutions, journals and cited journals, cited authors and cited literature, and keywords. Results Of the 607 clinical trial studies, the number of papers published per year has increased over time. The regions with the greatest influence were North America (especially the United States) and Europe. Multicenter research has always been the focus of cardio‐oncology research, but cross‐regional cooperation was still lacking. Myocardial toxicity caused by anthracyclines has received the earliest attention and has been studied for the longest time. Meanwhile, the efficacy and cardiotoxicity of new anticancer drugs always came into focus, but at a slow pace. Few studies on myocardial toxicity were related to the treatment of tumors except breast cancer. Risk factors, heart disease, adverse outcomes, follow‐up, and intervention protection were the major hotspots revealed by co‐citation cluster. Conclusions There is great potential for the development of clinical trials in cardio‐oncology, especially in multicenter cooperation across different regions. Expansion of tumor types, myocardial toxicity of different drugs, and effective interventions in the research direction and design of clinical trials are necessary.
