Due to the new development stage, it is especially important to improve the education quality of private undergraduate universities. As a result, it is a new hot issue for the construction of mechanisms and assessment systems for the quality improvement of private undergraduate education. In this paper, after analyzing and researching the quality of undergraduate education in present-day universities, the mechanism of deep learning is applied to the establishment of the assessment system. Finally, 1082 samples collected from the data center platform of a private university are analyzed as the research object. From the results, the final size of the combined weights of the seven evaluation items constituting the assessment system differed little. They were 12.81%, 15.78%, 15.28%, 14.38%, 12.83%, 12.81%, 15.01%, and 13.27%, respectively. In the comparison of this paper’s method with FAHP+TOPSIS combined evaluation, euclidean map method, and genetic algorithm assignment, the difference between the seven weight values of the Euclidean map method is larger, 5.56%. The evaluation times of the four methods were 41 s, 38 s, 47 s, and 118 s. Compared with the other three methods, the genetic algorithm assignment took the most time.

University is an inevitable product of a city’s development to a specific stage. In different social environments and historical stages, universities always develop symbiotically with cities, and the integration of the higher education system and emerging technologies can accelerate the regional economic development of universities and cities. Based on data mining technology, this study uses a neural network algorithm to establish an algorithmic model and sigmoid function as the incentive function to analyze the integration development of the emerging technology industry and university in Dongguan city and provide an optimization path for the integration development of the city and university. The research results show that in the field of scientific and technological research results, the universities in Dongguan City applied for 49,726 patents in 2021 and authorized 25,523, with an efficiency rate of 51.33%. In the area of urban economic development, Dongguan’s GDP in 2021 showed strong momentum, achieving a regional GDP of 108.554 billion yuan, up 8.2% over the previous year.

In this work, we established a HepG2 cell model of hypercholesterolemia in order to investigate the cholesterol-lowering activity and underlying mechanism of sterols. The levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG) and cholesterol regulation-related proteins were measured in HepG2 cells treated with nothing, simvastatin as a positive control or sterols. The results showed that the four sterol compounds tested could reduce TC and TG levels and mitigate the increase of lipids levels and lipid metabolism disorder in hypercholesterolemic cells. Moreover, they reduced the biosynthesis and absorption of cholesterol, decreased cholesterol esterification and promoted cholesterol excretion to the intestine by down-regulating the expression of Niemann-Pick C1-like 1 (NPC1L1), acetyl-coenzyme A acetyltransferase 2 (ACAT2), 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A synthase (HMGCS1) and sterol-regulatory element-binding proteins (SREBP2), and up-regulating the expression of ATP-binding cassette transporter G5/8 (ABCG5/8). We concluded that sterols improve lipid levels in hypercholesterolemic cells by affecting the expression of proteins related to cholesterol absorption and metabolism.

Using Chinese A-share listed companies from 2006 to 2013 as the research sample, this paper empirically examines the impact and mechanism of the mandatory CSR disclosure policy on Chinese firms' risk-taking by combining the difference-in-differences (DID) approach. This study finds that the implementation of the policy increases firms' operating costs and leads to an increase in their financing constraints, which ultimately creates a disincentive for firms to take risks. Second, we also find that, relative to firms that do not disclose CSR reports, the sales revenues, R&D investment and investment levels of firms subject to CSR disclosure are significantly reduced, which may be the result of firms' tendency to operate conservatively. In addition, heterogeneity analyses suggest that the dampening effect of mandatory CSR disclosure policies on risk-taking is stronger for firms with higher financing costs and for non-state-owned firms. This study further explores the mechanism of the impact of mandatory CSR disclosure on firms' risk-taking, which will help the government to formulate and improve the information disclosure policy regarding driving the transformation of corporate development in the future. Aims: A therapeutic strategy for chronic heart failure (HF) is to lower resting heart rate (HR). Ivabradine is a well‐known HR‐lowering agent, but limited prospective data exist regarding its use in Chinese patients. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of ivabradine in Chinese patients with chronic HF. Methods and results: This multicentre, single‐arm, prospective, observational study enrolled Chinese patients with chronic HF. The primary outcome was change from baseline in HR at 1 and 6 months, measured by pulse counting. Effectiveness was also evaluated using laboratory tests, the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ) clinical summary score (CSS) and overall summary score (OSS), and New York Heart Association (NYHA) class. Treatment‐emergent adverse events (TEAEs) were assessed. A post hoc analysis examined the effectiveness and safety of ivabradine combined with an angiotensin receptor–neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) or beta‐blocker. A total of 1003 patients were enrolled [mean age 54.4 ± 15.0 years, 773 male (77.1%), mean baseline HR 88.5 ± 11.3 b.p.m., mean blood pressure 115.7/74.4 ± 17.2/12.3 mmHg, mean left ventricular ejection fraction 30.9 ± 7.6%, NYHA Classes III and IV in 48.8% and 22.0% of patients, respectively]. HR decreased by a mean of 12.9 and 16.1 b.p.m. after 1 and 6 months, respectively (both P < 0.001). At Month 6, improvements in the KCCQ CSS and OSS of ≥5 points were observed in 72.1% and 74.1% of patients, respectively (both P < 0.001). Left ventricular ejection fraction increased by 12.1 ± 11.6 (P < 0.001), and 66.7% of patients showed improvement in NYHA class (P < 0.001). At Month 6, the overall proportion of patients in NYHA Classes III and IV was reduced to 13.5% and 2.1%, respectively. Serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and N‐terminal pro‐BNP changed by −331.9 ng/L (−1238.6, −134.0) and −1113.8 ng/L (−2202.0, −297.2), respectively (P < 0.001). HR reductions and improvements in NYHA and KCCQ scores with ivabradine were similar with and without use of ARNIs or beta‐blockers. Of 498 TEAEs in 296 patients (29.5%), 73 TEAEs in 55 patients (5.5%) were considered related to ivabradine [most frequent sinus bradycardia (n = 7) and photopsia (n = 7)]. TEAEs were reported in a similar number of patients in ARNI and beta‐blocker subgroups (21.9–35.6%). Conclusions: Ivabradine treatment reduced HR and improved cardiac function and health‐related quality of life in Chinese patients with chronic HF. Benefits were seen irrespective of whether or not patients were also taking ARNIs or beta‐blockers. Treatment was well tolerated with a similar profile to previous ivabradine studies.
