Abstract

Personal data custodian services enable data owners to share their data with data consumers in a convenient manner, anytime and anywhere. However, with data hosted in these services being beyond the control of the data owners, it raises significant concerns about privacy in personal data sharing. Many schemes have been proposed to realize fine-grained access control and privacy protection in data sharing. However, they fail to protect the rights of data owners to their data under the law, since their designs focus on the management of system administrators rather than enhancing the data owners' privacy. In this paper, we introduce a novel task-driven personal data sharing system based on the data capsule paradigm realizing personal data sharing autonomy. It enables data owners in our system to fully control their data, and share it autonomously. Specifically, we present a tamper-resistant data capsule encapsulation method, where the data capsule is the minimal unit for independent and secure personal data storage and sharing. Additionally, to realize selective sharing and informed-consent based authorization, we propose a task-driven data sharing mechanism that is resistant to collusion and EDoS attacks. Furthermore, by updating parts of the data capsules, the permissions granted to data consumers can be immediately revoked. Finally, we conduct a security and performance analysis, proving that our scheme is correct, sound, and secure, as well as revealing more advantageous features in practicality, compared with the state-of-the-art schemes.

Abstract

Collecting security-related data of devices effectively is the foundation of analyzing network threats accurately. Existing data collection methods (full data collection, sampling based data collection and adaptive data collection) do not consider the validity of the collected data and their correlation, which will consume too much collection resources, resulting in low collection yield. To address this problem, considering the factors (relationship between node attributes, network topology relationship, threat status, node resource and node similarity) that impact collection costs and benefits, a rule association method to generate collection policies was designed. In the method, two types of association rules (inter-node association rules and inter-event association rules) were adopted to generate candidate data collection items and reduced the scope of data collection. Then, a multi-objective program was designed to maximize collection benefits and minimize collection costs. Further, a genetic algorithm was designed to solve this program. Proposed method was compared with existing data collection methods. The experimental results show that the number of the collected data records of proposed method is 1 000~3 000 less than that of others per 12 hours, and the validity of the collected data of proposed method is about 4%~10% higher than others, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract

Based on the latest research at home and abroad, the access control technology in cross-domain data flow were summarized and prospected. Firstly, combined with access control in complex application environments, the development of access control models and data security modelswere summarized. The advantages and disadvantages of access control policy management were analyzed. Secondly, the research on access control policy management from the aspects of data marking, policy matching and policy conflict detection were discussed respectively. Finally, the research status of data marking technology and authorization and extension control technology in unified authorization management were summarized.

Abstract

This thesis introduces efficient numerical techniques for the analysis of novel electromagnetic metamaterials. The modelling is based on a Method of Moments modal analysis in conjunction with an interpolation scheme, which significantly accelerates the computations. Triangular basis functions are used that allow for modelling of arbitrary shaped metallic elements. Unlike the conventional methods, impedance interpolation is applied to derive the dispersion characteristics of planar periodic structures. With these techniques, the plane wave and the surface wave responses of fractal structures have been studied by means of transmission coefficients and dispersion diagrams. The multiband properties and the compactness of the proposed structures are presented. Based on this method, novel planar left-handed metamaterials are also proposed. Verifications of the left-handedness are presented by means of full wave simulation of finite planar arrays using commercial software and lab measurement. The structures are simple, readily scalable to higher frequencies and compatible with low-cost fabrication techniques.

Abstract

As mobile communications, the Internet, databases, distributed computing, and other technologies continue to develop, the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as prevalent technique. However, attacks on security and sensitive data in IoT occur frequently, and these attacks often evade intrusion detection systems strategically by mutating their traffic. To prevent security threats and sensitive data leakage, we propose a game approach based on adversarial deep learning to optimize a dynamic security threshold strategy. We introduce a mobile edge computing framework and utilize a game model to describe the adversarial interaction between the two participants. To solve the complexity of the game problem to gain dynamically randomized adversarial attacks, we present a column generation (CG) framework, which uses a feedforward neural network to quantify data flowing through IoT devices. Considering the limited resources of IoT devices, we calculate an optimal response to cyberattacks via a particle swarm optimization algorithm, aiming to reduce the false alarm rate. The adversarial dynamic threshold (ADT)‐based column generation (CG‐ADT) algorithm generates the set of detection threshold and the probability. Finally, we present the results of experiments conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed dynamic threshold scheme for sensitive data security protection in IoT and its suitability for implementation in production systems. 44. Cache of cryptographic key based on query popularity.

Abstract

In the current HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) key management system, the encryption zone keys are all loaded into the memory during startup of key service. With the increase of the key resource, the occupied memory space also grows, bringing the bottleneck of memory space and key indexing. There are three challenges induced: how to organize cached data and efficiently handle queries with missed keys, how to adjust key resources in the cache, and how to accurately predict the use of keys. In order to achieve fine-grained and efficient caching and improve the efficiency of key use, key caching optimization was considered from three aspects: key index data structure, key replacement algorithm, and key prefetching strategy. An architecture of key cache replacement module was designed, and then a key replacement algorithm based on the query frequency was set. Specifically, from the perspective of heat computing and key replacement, the potential influencing factors affecting the popularity of key cache were analyzed which considered the file system and user of key management system. Besides, the basic model of key usage popularity was constructed. The hash table and minheap linked list was combined to maintain the heat of the key in use, and the elimination algorithm was set based on heat identification. The key in the cache was dynamically updated, and key usage was adjusted by the time controller, so as to realize key replacement according to the key heat. For key prefetching, key usage rules were obtained through log mining and periodical usage analyzing of key provisioning policies, which considered business processes and the time period dimension of user accessing. Experimental results show that the proposed key replacement algorithm can effectively improve the hit rate of cache queries, reduce memory usage, and ameliorate the impact of key file I/O interaction on query performance.
