The present study investigated the role of abnormally expressed mRNA and long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) in the development of colorectal cancer (CRC). We used lncRNA sequencing to analyze the transcriptome (mRNA and lncRNA) of five pairs of CRC tissues and adjacent normal tissues. The total expression of mRNAs and lncRNAs in each sample was determined using the R package and the gene expression was calculated using normalized FPKM. The structural features and expression of all detected lncRNAs were compared with those of mRNAs. Differentially expressed mRNAs were selected to perform Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses. The functional analysis of differentially expressed lncRNAs was performed by analyzing the GO and KEGG enrichment of predicted cis-regulated target genes. A total of 18.2 × 108 reads were obtained by sequencing, in which the clean reads reached ≥ 94.67%, with a total of 245.2 G bases. The number of mRNAs and lncRNAs differentially expressed in CRC tissues and normal tissues were 113 and 6, respectively. Further predictive analysis of target genes of lncRNAs revealed that six lncRNA genes had potential cis-regulatory effects on 13 differentially expressed mRNA genes and co-expressed with 53 mRNAs. Up-regulated CTD-2256P15.4 and RP11-229P13.23 were the most important lncRNAs in these CRC tissues and involved in cell proliferation and pathway in cancer. In conclusion, our study provides evidence regarding the mRNA and lncRNA transcription in CRC tissues, as well as new insights into the lncRNAs and mRNAs involved in the development of CRC.

To evaluate the effect of oral nutritional supplementation (ONS) on the postdischarge nutritional status and quality of life (QoL) of gastrointestinal cancer patients after surgery.A multi-center study was conducted on gastrointestinal cancer patients who received surgical treatment from 2013-2015. All patients were screened using the Nutrition Risk Screening 2002 (NRS 2002) to assess nutritional risk. Patients with nutritional risk were randomized into two groups: patients in the study group (n=55) were given dietary guidance and ONS, control group (n=59) received only dietary guidance. Anthropometric measurements, nutrition-related laboratory tests, and gastrointestinal function scores were also collected and analyzed using Student's t test and analysis of variance (ANOVA). In addition, the EQ-5D was used to evaluate patients' QoL.Compared with baseline measurements, the body weight of patients in the study group increased by 1.35±0.53 kg and 1.35±0.73 kg at 60 and 90 days, which were significantly higher than those in the control group (-1.01±0.54 kg, and -1.60±0.81 kg at 60 and 90 days). The results from ANOVA showed that only weight and BMI differed significantly between the study and control groups and also between different measurement times (p0.01). No differences were found for the other indicators or QoL between the study groups.ONS may improve the weight and BMI of surgically treated gastrointestinal cancer patients postdischarge. However, these effects had little impact on patients' QoL.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of sericin on the proliferation of human gastric cancer MKN45 cells and explore the underlying molecular mechanism. METHODS: MKN45 cells were transfected by LC3 double fluorescent autophagic virus, and the positive cells screened by puromycin were divided into blank group, sericin group and sericin+3-MA group. After incubation with sericin for 48 h, the cells were examined for proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle using CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry. Cell autophagy was detected by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and fluorescent inverted microscope, and the autophagy-related markers including LC3, p62 and Beclin proteins were detected with Western blotting. Nude mice bearing gastric cancer xenograft were treated with normal saline or sericin injections (n=5) and the changes in the tumor volume and weight were measured. RESULTS: Compared with the blank group, MKN45 cells with sericin treatment showed significantly inhibited proliferation both in vitro and in nude mice. Autophagosomes were observed in sericin-treated cells under TEM and fluorescent inverted microscope. Sericin treatment of the cells significantly increased the cell apoptosis (P < 0.01), caused obvious cell cycle arrest in G(2)/M phase (P < 0.01), up-regulated the expressions of both LC3-2 and Beclin, and down-regulated the expression of p62. The autophagy inhibitor 3-MA obviously antagonized the effects of sericin on cell apoptosis, cell cycle and autophagic protein expressions. CONCLUSION: Sericin can inhibit the proliferation of human gastric cancer MKN45 cells by regulating cell autophagy to serve as potential anti-tumor agent.

In this paper, we propose and present a novel algorithm for medical image segmentation (MIS). By analyzing the current state-of-the-art related algorithms, we introduce the multi-band active contour model based limit function to make the multilayer segmentation available. With the development of image segmentation technology, the development of medical image segmentation technology also got very big, because there is no find common, accepted effect ideal is suitable for medical image segmentation method, almost existing each kind of segmentation method has application in the field of medical image segmentation. Furtherly, with the optimized aims of being robust to the noise and avoiding the bad effluence on the result, we adopt the kernel method and new initialization curve. This model suffers from low noise robustness, and model algorithm is difficult to achieve. Integrated segmentation technology refers to two or more technology is used, combined with their own advantages, so they can on the accuracy or efficiency to achieve better performance than when using a single. A new penalty term is introduced to improve numerical stability and the step length is increased to improve efficiency. As far as the robustness and effectiveness are concerned, our method is better than the existing medical image segmentation algorithms. Experimental analysis verifies the success of our method.

Objective: To reveal the cutoff point and influencing factors in the dynamic change in phenotypic group in patients with stable angina pectoris (SAP) after Xinxuekang capsule treatment. Methods: Five hundred and seventy-six SAP patients were randomly assigned to receive Xinxuekang (XXK) capsules or Compound Danshen (CDS) tablets for 8 weeks. Global similarity degree analysis and nonlinear mixed effects modeling (NONMEM) were employed to reveal the cutoff points and influencing factors in dynamic changes in the SAP phenotypic group. The phenotypic group was defined as the six phenotypes in SAP, including angina, choking sensation in the chest, palpitations, dark purple lips, ecchymosis on the tongue, and fine-choppy pulse, which were quantitatively evaluated on Days 0, 14, 28, 42, and 56. Results: Variation in the six individual phenotypes and distribution of the SAP phenotypic profile were similar between the two experimental groups, but cutoff points for changes in the SAP phenotypic group were 7.28 and 10.73 weeks in XXK and CDS groups, respectively. Degree of severity of SAP as well as study site significantly affected the tendency for change in the SAP Xueyu Zheng in both XXK and CDS treatment groups. Different Chinese patent drugs affected the tendency for change in phenotypic group in patients with SAP. XXK was superior to CDS in controlling a clinical phenotypic group. Conclusion: Based on global similarity degree analysis and NONMEM, the cutoff point and influencing factors in phenomic variation of SAP may be determined, to improve the development and modification of treatment regimens.

The interaction between theophylline and ethylenediamine, choline hydroxide and other alkaline compounds was investigated via UV–Vis spectroscopic method. Upon introduction of alkaline compounds, the π-π transition band of theophylline undergoes a red shift. This phenomenon is a result of removing a proton from the 7-position of a theophylline molecule. Moreover, cross peaks appear in 2D asynchronous spectra generated via the DAOSD approach on theophyllinate and various cation systems. These results suggest that cation-π interaction and cation-anion interactions occur between theophyllinate and various cations including ethylenediamine, choline, tetramethyl ammonium, K+ and Cs+. The interaction between anionic theophyllinate and various cation may play a considerable role in the transmembrane transport of theophylline in medicinal process.

Nixie tubes are widely used in industry, but the design of the driving circuits is one of the biggest challenges. Aiming at the characteristics of the large-size nixie tube, this paper designs the hardware circuits for 5-inch nixie tube at first, including the driving power, the bit drive circuit and the segment drive circuit. Then, the design programs to drive CH452 chip were given. During the realization process of the circuits, the perennial problems and the corresponding solving methods were given at last. This paper provides guidance for the design of driving circuit for nixie tube.

We consider the scenario of cognitive relay networks, where the cognitive relay is equipped with multiple antennas and the cognitive destinations have only one antenna due to the size and cost limitations. Aiming to maximize the signal-to-interference noise ratio (SINR), we develop the optimal beam-forming scheme for the relay case. The proposed scheme is based on minimum mean square error (MMSE). The theoretical results are validated by simulations. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has a considerable performance.

Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), as an innovative inventory management, has been concerned by more and more scholars and corporations. When conducting VMI model, managers normally forecast demand,through exponential smoothing method, to compute order quantity or order release time. However, the exponential smoothing method is very dependent on the selection of smoothing coefficient. Moreover, with the development of technology and science, increasing categories and decreasing producing cycle of products, manager's lack of historical data, exponential smoothing method fails to forecast demand perfectly. This paper applies exponential smoothing method, which is based on the idea of dynamic programming,to forecast customer demand and determine order release time, so as to keep or approximately keep service level remain at targeted service level.

Fire warning is a matter of concern in laboratory, this paper presents the design of distributed sensors fire warning system. The core idea is that a number of the bottom sensor collection terminals that consists of temperature and smoking sensors are evenly distributed in the laboratory; when there is a fire to happen, the bottom sensor collection terminals will send an alarming signal by the way of wireless communication to the middle layer alarming signal collection terminal, which starts a GPRS module to capture the scene and send the image to the senior monitoring management center. The senior manager receives an alarming image information, analysis and process, start the appropriate fire alarm system. After a year of testing and running, the system achieves the originally designed aim, and is reliable and stable.

The increase in the number of private cars as well as non-standard parked behavior has brought great pressure to campus traffic. In order to control this non-standard parked behavior, orderly and reasonable guide and regulate owners to develop good parking habits, we design a vehicle parking violation notification system. A system is designed in the article to record illegal parking information of vehicles. A working principle of this system is that a wireless MMS image terminal captures image information of illegal vehicles, and real-time transmits the captured image information to the Data Center Computer in Security Department of the school through the GPRS network, so as to achieve illegal vehicle information is timely recorded and notified. Meanwhile, outside campus of illegal vehicles will be warned or limited its re-enter the campus. After a year of work and testing, the entire system is stable, and the image information transmission failure rate is very low. Illegal parking behavior on campus has been significantly curbed, and traffic order has been significantly improved.

The Yellow River Delta National Agricultural Science and Technology Park proposed the concept of "One Zone One Hundred Parks", namely the Yellow River Delta National Agricultural Science and Technology Park consists of a hundred geographically dispersed agricultural technology demonstration park. In order to effectively provide intellectual support for these geographically dispersed agricultural technology demonstration parks, this paper presents the design and the idea of remote crop image capture and expert systems. The core idea is to set up image collection terminals in a decentralized agricultural technology demonstration park. Crop samples are collected by the terminals, using GPRS network to transfer the captured image data to the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Bioengineering. Agricultural experts make an analysis to image samples, and propose treatment advice. And then, the experts feedback the advice to the various agricultural technology demonstration parks. After a year of testing, the entire system is reliable, excellent performance in real-time transmission of images. This system has played a very important role in the prevention and control of crop pests and crop growth guidance.

In order to grasp the whole growth process of breeding cotton and establish the growth records of breeding cotton, the article proposes the design of breeding cotton growth management system based on MMS. The main idea is that field image acquisition terminals capture a live image in breeding cotton plots at a specific time every day, and send the live image to the monitoring center through the GPRS networks, then breeding cotton experts write cotton growth log and propose the next management advice for cotton based on the returned live image. At the same time, all the information will be written to the database in the monitoring center. The application of the system is able to not only save manpower costs, by tracking and analyzing the whole growth process of breeding cotton, but also summarize the successful breeding experience and failures. At the same time, the application of the system promotes cotton breeding and cotton management more scientific. After the actual testing, the system works stable and reliable, and meets the design requirements.

Recently, a new model for cognitive radio networks appears, in which a cognitive user (CU) can relay the primary data stream to improve the performance of the primary user s communication. Traditionally, the transmitter of the cognitive users will send data to the receiver of the cognitive users and relay the data sent from the primary user (PU) in different time slots. However, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) provides a remarkable increase in the spectral efficiency, which can transmit multiple independent data streams in a time slot with MIMO antenna. Based on the MIMO technique, we propose a novel framework, in which the cognitive user near by the primary user is equipped with MIMO antenna. In this paper, we search for the maximum sum-rate of the cognitive user, limiting the interference to the primary users. Simulation results show that the proposed method can really improve the performance of the cognitive relay networks.

This article presents the design ideas of patrol system based on real-time image acquisition in patrol points. In this system, the image acquisition terminals are mounted on many patrol points, which are set in a predetermined patrol line. When patrol officers arrived at a patrol point, the image acquisition terminal mounted on the patrol point will capture a live image via a GPRS MMS module ,and then the image acquisition terminal sends this image to the central control unit in a form of MMS. The central control unit receives the sent MMS message, and separate out the image information from the received message, and then saves it to a database. According to the actual test results of this patrol system, it can not only meet the design requirements, but also the whole system has a high stability and reliability.
