Considering that under the framework of the massive gravity theory, the interaction between the mass gravitons and Schwarzschild black hole (BH) could make it carry a scalar charge, the phase transition process caused by this scalar charge is investigated in this analysis. The phase transition grade and microstructure of those BHs are investigated from both macroscopic and microscopic points of view. From the macroscopic point of view, it is found that Ehrenfest equations are satisfied at the phase transition critical point, which implies that the phase transition grade of those BHs is second-order. Based on the BH molecules model and Landau continuous phase transition theory, the phase transition of those BHs from the microcosmic point of view is analyzed. The critical exponents obtained from the two perspectives are consistent. By investigating the Ruppeiner geometry, the microstructure feature of those BHs is revealed. These results suggest that the phase transition of BH in massive gravity is a standard second-order phase transition at the critical point, and the microscopic details of those BHs are different from the RN-AdS BH in standard Einstein gravity., Comment: 17 pages, 3 figures

TiC-high manganese steel-bonded carbide was prepared by powder metallurgy method with varied Mo2C content (0, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10% respectively), and the effects of Mo2C addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the fabricated cermets were studied. The microstructures of the fabricated cermets were observed and analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the physical and mechanical properties of the cermets were also tested. The results show that the microstructure of the cermet without Mo2C additive was finer than that of the cermets with 2.5% and 5% Mo2C addition, though Mo2C was an effective grain growth inhibitor of TiC- and/or TiCN-based refractory materials because of low inherent solubility of TiC in Fe binder. An interesting phenomenon was also found that black core-gray rim was observed in the microstructure of the cermet without Mo2C addition. The microstructure of the fabricated cermets was fine with the increase of Mo2C content. The results also show that the relative density and hardness of the cermet increased monotonously with the increase of Mo2C content, hence, the transverse rupture strength (TRS) and impact toughness (IM) of the fabricated cermets increased first and then decreased, and the TRS and IM reached the maximum valve of 2189 MPa and 11.7 J/cm2 when Mo2C content was 7.5% and 5% respectively.

Exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSC-Exo) are effective in modulating immunity. However, the role of MSC-Exo in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is unclear. Our study was performed to identify if exosomal microRNA (miRNA) can be used as potential noninvasive biomarkers for ccRCC therapy. An orthotopic ccRCC mouse model was established, followed by MSC-Exo injection (1 mL, 20 μg/mL). The metastases of tumors were observed using HE staining, while number of dendritic cells, natural killing (NK) T cells and CD8(+) T cells was measured using flow cytometry. It was observed that MSC-Exo treatment significantly inhibited metastasis and growth of tumors, and improved immune response in vivo. As for in vitro assay, naive T cells were treated with MSC-Exo, followed by detection of T cell proliferation using EdU staining and CFSE assay. Results also showed that MSC-Exo facilitated sensitivity of ccRCC cells to NK T cells. Our experimental data further showed that miR-182 could be delivered by MSC-Exo in ccRCC, which targeted vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), as dual-luciferase reporter assays validated. In conclusion, miR-182 contained in MSC-Exo promoted immune response of T cells by suppressing VEGFA expression, thus alleviating ccRCC development.

Background: The aim of the study was to investigate the anatomy of the anterior nerve and artery of the elbow joint to provide reference on the relevant surgical approach to the elbow joint, and determine a simple better surgical approach for the treatment of part of the fractures of the elbow joint. Materials and methods: The upper extremities of 10 adult cadavers fixed by formaldehyde and perfused with red latex in the artery were observed to investigate the anatomic structure of the anterior approach to the elbow joint. From the clearance of the brachioradialis and pronator teres muscle to the approach of the neurovascular interval, we observed the states of the median nerve, the brachial, radial and ulnar arteries, and its branches through anatomical layers and measurement methods. Results: Through the anterior neurovascular interval approach to the elbow, nerve and artery can be protected, and the anterior structures of the elbow, such as the ulna coronoid process, humeroulnar joint and trochlea of the humerus, can be exposed. Conclusions: This study demonstrates that the anterior anatomical structure of the elbow joint including the trochlea of the humerus, coronoid process of the ulna and the front capsule of the elbow can be exposed through the anterior neurovascular approach to the elbow.

BackgroundIn December 2019, the cases of pneumonia of unknown etiology emerged in Wuhan, China, and rapidly spread throughout the country. The disease was later designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS CoV-2). Few studies have assessed the clinical characteristics of COVID-19 and control strategies used to mitigate disease spread in high-altitude plateau regions of China.Study ObjectiveTo assess the impact of real-world strategies to control COVID-19 spread in remote plateau regions.MethodsA retrospective study was performed to assess the epidemiology of COVID-19 and strategies used to control disease spread in the high-altitude plateau of Sichuan, China from 24 January 2020 to 19 March 2020.ResultsCOVID-19 spread and outbreaks in Sichuan were attributed to mass gatherings. A total of 70 patients and 20 asymptomatic individuals were found in the hypoxic plateau region of Sichuan. Twelve patients were admitted after the onset of symptoms, while 58 patients and 20 asymptomatic individuals were found by active screening. The symptomatic patients included those with uncomplicated illness (16/70, 22.9%), mild pneumonia (44/70, 62.9%), and severe pneumonia (10/70, 14.3%). Most patients in the study area showed relatively mild and atypical symptoms such as low or no fever and dyspnea. The incidence of severe pneumonia, fever, dyspnea, and interstitial abnormalities identified by chest CT were all significantly lower in screened patients than those admitted after symptom onset (P < 0.05). Severe pneumonia was noted in patients with chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes etc. as compared to less severe pneumonia in healthy subjects (P ConclusionMass gatherings increased risk of spread of SARS-CoV-2 responsible for COVID-19. Active screening and early management have collectively contributed to reduced incidence of severe pneumonia and satisfactory prognoses of infections with COVID-19 in this hypoxic plateau region.

Taking the quantum electrodynamics (QED) effect into account, we investigate the geometrical-optics appearance of the Euler-Heisenberg (EH) black hole (BH) under the different accretion flows context, which depends on the BH space-time structure and different sources of light. The more significant magnetic charge leads to the smaller shadow radius for the EH BH, while the different values of the EH parameter do not ruin it. Different features of the corresponding two-dimensional shadow images are derived for the three optically thin accretion flow models. It is shown that the total observed intensity in the static spherical accretion flow scenario leads than that of the infalling spherical accretion flow under same parameters, but the size and position of the EH BH shadows do not change in both of these accretions flows, implying that the BH shadow size depends on the geometric space-time and the shadows luminosities rely on the accretion flow morphology. Of particular interest is that a thin disk accretion model illuminated the BH, we found that the contribution of the lensing ring to the total observed flux is less than 5\%, and the photon ring is less than 2\%, indicating that the direct emission dominates the optical appearance of the EH BH. It is also believed that the optical appearance of the BH image depends on the accretion disk radiation position in this scenario, which can serve as a probe for the disk structure around the active galactic nucleus (AGN) of M87^{*} like., Comment: 14 pages, 11 figures

Since the first perovskite CaTiO3 was discovered in 1839, the development of perovskite has a history of 180 years. The emergence of solar cells (CH3 NH3 )PbI3 has set off the trend of hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite (HOIP) materials. Since then, various HOIPs have sprung up and been widely used in various material devices. Among them, HOIP ferroelectrics have gained widespread attention. However, antiperovskite, as a twin brother of perovskite, has been neglected although it has similar structure with perovskite. Here, we successfully found that [C3 H7 FN]3 [SnCl6 ]Cl has a three-dimensional (3D) antiperovskite structure with the formula M3 AB. Importantly, the compound exhibits obvious ferroelectric properties with an Aizu notation of 622F6 at 391 K. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first 3D hybrid organic-inorganic antiperovskite ferroelectric, which will greatly promote the development of antiperovskite families with more superior physical properties.

In this paper, we study the shadows and observational appearance of the Ayón-Beato-García (ABG) black hole, which is surrounded by a thin disk accretion. For a four-dimensional ABG black hole, as the charge q increases, the event horizon r +, radius r p and impact parameter b p of the photon sphere decrease, while the maximum value of effective potential V eff increases. However, as the term γ associated with nonlinear electrodynamics increases, the related physical quantities r +, r p and b p increase, but the maximum value of V eff decreases. When the light ray reaches the vicinity of the ABG black hole, one can observe the trajectories of the light rays appearing as three types, i.e., direct emission, lens ring and photon ring. Furthermore, the shadows and the observational appearance of the ABG black hole are studied. The results show that the charge q and the term γ have a great influence on the shape and intensity of the black hole shadow. When the relevant state parameters change or the emission model changes, it can be argued that it is the direct emission that plays a decisive role in the total observed intensity of the ABG black hole, while the contribution of the lens ring to the total observed intensity is small and the photon ring makes almost no contribution.

In this paper, by exploring photon motion in the region near a Bardeen black hole, we studied the shadow and observed properties of the black hole surrounded by various accretion models. We analyzed the changes in shadow imaging and observed luminosity when the relevant physical parameters are changed. For the different spherical accretion backgrounds, we find that the radius of shadow and the position of the photon sphere do not change, but the observed intensity of shadow in the infalling accretion model is significantly lower than that in the static case. We also studied the contribution of the photon rings, lensing rings and direct emission to the total observed flux when the black hole is surrounded by an optically thin disk accretion. Under the different forms of the emission modes, the results show that the observed brightness is mainly determined by direct emission, while the lensing rings will provide a small part of the observed flux, and the flux provided by the photon ring is negligible. By comparing our results with the Schwarzschild spacetime, we find that the existence or change of relevant status parameters will greatly affect the shape and observed intensity of the black hole shadow. These results support the theory that the change of state parameter will affect the spacetime structure, thus affecting the observed features of black hole shadows.

In this paper, under the illumination of thin disk accretion, we have employed the ray-tracing method to carefully investigate shadows and rings of the Kehagias-Sfetsos(KS) black hole in deformed Ho\v{r}ava-Lifshitz(HL) gravity. The results show that the event horizon $r_+$, the radius $r_p$ and impact parameter $b_{p}$ of photon sphere are all decreased with the increase of the HL parameter $\omega$, but the effective potential increases. And, it also turns out that the trajectories of light rays emitted from the north pole direction are defined as the direct emission, lensing ring and photon ring of KS black hole, on the basis of orbits $n = \phi/2\pi$. As black hole surrounded by thin disk accretion, we show that the corresponding transfer functions have their values increased with the parameter $\omega$. More importantly, we also find that the direct emissions always dominate the total observed intensity, while lensing rings as a thin ring make a very small contribution and photon ring as a extremely narrow ring make a negligible contribution, for all three toy-model functions. In view of this, the results finally imply that shadows and rings as the observational appearance of KS black hole exhibit some obvious interesting features, which might be regarded as an effective way to distinguish black holes in HL gravity from the Schwarzschild black hole., Comment: 17 pages, 28 figures, minor revisions, references added

Secretory phospholipase A2 group IB (sPLA2-IB) and M-type phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) are closely associated with proteinuria in idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN). Podocytes constitute an important component of glomerular filtration, and high basal autophagy is indispensable for podocyte function. The current study aimed to analyze the relationship between sPLA2-IB and podocyte autophagy in IMN and determine whether sPLA2-IB mediates abnormal autophagy regulation in podocytes. The serum sPLA2-IB level and podocyte autophagy were detected, and clinical data were collected from IMN patients with different proteinuria levels. Then, the effects of sPLA2-IB on autophagy signaling pathways were evaluated in cultured human podocytes treated with sPLA2-IB, rapamycin, p38 inhibition, and PLA2R-siRNA in vitro. We found that IMN patients with nephrotic-range proteinuria have a significantly higher level of sPLA2-IB and fewer autophagosomes than those with non-nephrotic-range proteinuria. In vitro sPLA2-IB-induced insufficient autophagy in podocytes and promoted podocyte injury via activation of the mTOR/ULK1ser757 signaling pathway. Moreover, inhibition of p38 MAPK evidently abrogated sPLA2-IB-induced autophagy and the activation of mTOR/ULK1ser757 . Additionally, PLA2R silencing demonstrated that sPLA2-IB-induced abnormal autophagy was also PLA2R-dependent. In conclusion, the results revealed that sPLA2-IB downregulated autophagy and contributed to podocyte injury via PLA2R though activation of the p38MAPK/mTOR/ULK1ser757 signaling pathway.

Background Advances in the understanding of wrinkling crow's feet while improving the safety and efficacy of botulinum toxin type A injection has pointed to drug dispersion in the lateral orbital wrinkles as a cause of adverse events of botulinum toxin type A injection. The purpose of this study is to identify the distribution of temporal and zygomatic branches of facial nerve in the orbicularis oculi muscles. Methods Anatomical dissection of cadavers was performed in 31 cadavers, 13 females and 18 males, with ages ranging from 20 to 60 years, which of all had been embalmed by 10% formalin solution. The facial nerve was identified within subcutaneous tissue close periorbital region and both traced proximal and distal. Its temporal branch, zygomatic branch, facial and muscular entrance were located and accurately measured relative to established surface landmarks. Results Dissection of the facial nerve revealed 2 to 6 entrances of the temporal branch into the orbicularis oculi and 1 to 5 entrances of the zygomatic branch into the orbicularis oculi. Concerning the measurements of neural entering points, distance and angle from orbicularis oculi muscle to lateral ocular angle, a distribution map of its muscular entrance and their patterns of distribution were constructed. According to the dense area of the coordinate map, there were 3 points determined as the muscular entrance points to established surface landmarks. Conclusions An anatomical dissection of cadavers was performed to identify the distribution of temporal and zygomatic branches of the facial nerve in the orbicularis oculi. According to the dense area of the coordinate map, the surface landmarks of 3 points were established as the muscular entrance of the facial nerve (MEF).

Recent studies suggested that serum secretory phospholipase A2 group IB (sPLA2-IB) was increased in idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN). However, the interference of high lipemia on the sPLA2-IB levels was not taken into account in these studies. The present study aimed to investigate the correlation between sPLA2-IB and lipemia, and the clinical merit of sPLA2-IB in the prediction of prognosis of IMN patients. A total of 64 IMN patients, 39 immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) patients and 64 healthy controls were included in the study. The levels of serum sPLA2-IB, lipemia and proteinuria were measured. Fifty IMN patients were followed up for 6 months. Pathologic stages were made for all IgAN and IMN patients. The results showed that the levels of serum sPLA2-IB, cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were significantly higher, and the levels of albumin and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were significantly lower in IMN patients than in healthy controls and IgAN patients. Serum sPLA2-IB levels were also found to be higher in IgAN patients than in heathy controls, but the association of serum sPLA2-IB levels with proteinuria, cholesterol and albumin was only shown in IMN patients. Antibody against M-type receptor for secretory phospholipase A2 (PLA2R1) was positive in 81.3% IMN patients. Glomerular sPLA2-IB deposition, podocyte fused processes, and density deposition on thickened basement membrane were seen in IMN patients, but not in IgAN patients. IMN patients with lower sPLA2-IB and proteinuria levels were found to have better outcome after the 6-month follow-up. In IMN patients, sPLA2-IB levels were significantly increased in both serum and renal tissue. In conclusion, serum sPLA2-IB was closely correlated with proteinuria, albumin and cholesterol, and IMN patients with lower sPLA2-IB levels were more likely to achieve a better outcome.

A novel YVO4:Eu3+@CDs core–shell nanomaterial with two main emission peaks at 405 and 617 nm was synthesized through a simple mixing method, in which the carbon quantum dots (CDs) self-assembled with the YVO4:Eu3+ nanoparticle, due to the high affinity of oxygen-containing groups such as –COOH or –OH of CDs to the metal ions on the surface of YVO4:Eu3+. The red fluorescence of YVO4:Eu3+@CDs located at 617 nm can be quenched by Cu2+ ions efficiently, while the blue emission remains invariable; based on this, we construct a ratio fluorescent probe YVO4:Eu3+@CDs for Cu2+ ion detection, in which the blue emission of CDs is selected as the reference signal, and the red emission of YVO4:Eu3+ acts as an output signal. Furthermore, the addition of biothiol recovers the quenched red fluorescence quickly, which can be completed in 18 minutes. Thus, YVO4:Eu3+@CDs can also be used as a ‘turn on’ ratio fluorescent probe for biothiol rapid detection. Taking L-cysteine (L-Cys) as the model, the fluorescence intensity of the 617 nm peak increases with increasing Cys, and the ratio of F617/F405 is linear to the concentration of Cys in the range of 0.1 μM to 10 μM with a detection limit of 41 nM. Compared with these single wavelength emission biothiol fluorescent probes, an obvious change in the fluorescence color from blue to pink can be conveniently observed by the naked eye under a UV lamp. Meanwhile, this ratiometric probe has also been demonstrated to be used for the visual identification of biothiols in real blood serum samples.

Despite the success and advantages over traditional chemotherapeutic strategies, photothermal therapy (PTT) suffers from certain limitations, such as poor stability, low therapeutic efficacy of PTT agents in vivo, and their affinity loss during the multistep synthesis process of delivery carriers, among others. To address these limitations, we designed a stable, biocompatible, and dual-triggered formulation of indocyanine green (ICG)-encapsulated silk fibroin (SF) (ICG-SF) nanoparticles using supercritical fluid (SCF) technology. We demonstrated that ICG encapsulation in SF through this environmental-friendly approach has offered excellent photothermal stability, the pH-responsive release of ICG from SF specifically in the tumor acidic environment, and its substantial activation with near-infrared (NIR) light at 808 nm significantly enhanced the PTT efficiency. TiC base high manganese steel-bonded carbide was manufactured by powder metallurgy technique, and the effect of adding mode of WC additive on microstructural evolution and properties of the alloy was studied. SEM microstructure showed that surrounding structure appeared obviousely with WC additive; while microstructure of the alloy was well-distributed and particle shape was distinct very much. The shape of TiC particles became irregular with pure WC powder addition, and irregular with further increase of WC content, and the shape of some TiC particles became angular because of excessive reaction between TiC particles and WC additive. microstructure of the alloy was refiner and the strength, toughness were improved with the increase of WC addition. (Ti, W)C solid solution is superior to form on the surface of TiC particles through dissolution precipitation mechanism because the activity energy of WC was higher than that of TiC-WC compound carbides when WC was added in the alloy, and the particle shape of TiC became more irregular and the properties were improved significantly.

Pre-alloyed Fe/Mo powder was manufactured by water atomization method with different molybdenum contents of 1.6%, 2.21%, 2.87%, 4.34%, 6.5% (in wt. %),respectively, and this powder was used as binder to fabricate TiC steel-bonded carbide. The mean grain size of the ball milled powders was smaller because of the increase of hardness and brittleness due to the existence of molybdenum in Fe/Mo pre-alloyed powder TiC phase grew slowly and uniformly owning to the uniform distribution and low activity of molybdenum as a result of the adding method (compared with the adding method of pure metallic molybdenum powder), whereas the abnormal grain growth was suppressed. Results showed that the microstructure of the alloy was finer obviously and the density, hardness, strength and impact toughness of the alloy all increased to some extent.
