Background: It is unclear whether Cetuximab (CTX) or Nimotuzumab (NTZ) concurrent with radiotherapy delivers equivalent or improved results with fewer toxicities over standard cisplatin (CDDP) concurrent with radiotherapy in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods: The strategy involved searching the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Internet Web, Wanfang and Chinese Biomedical databases. Controlled clinical trials that compared concurrent CTX/NTZ with radiotherapy versus CDDP with radiotherapy in local-regionally advanced NPC were included. Results: In all, 1,239 patients in six clinical trials were included in the analysis. The hazard ratios (HRs) between the CTX/NTZ and CDDP groups were 1.01 (95% confidence interval (CI) 0.63-1.64), 1.06 (95% CI 0.50-2.25), 1.04 (95% CI 0.61-1.76), and 1.05 (95% CI 0.73-1.50) for overall survival, local-regional failure-free survival, distant metastasis failure-free survival, and disease-free survival, respectively. Significant differences were found in the incidences of grade 3-4 anaemia [Risk ratio (RR) 0.11 95% CI 0.02-0.58], grade 3-4 neutropenia (RR 0.23 95% CI 0.12- 0.44), grade 3-4 thrombocytopenia (RR 0.31 95% CI 0.12- 0.79), and grade 3-4 vomiting (RR 0.04 95% CI 0.00-0.29) in favour of the CTX/NTZ group. However, the patients in the CTX/NTZ group experienced a higher incidence of grade 3-4 skin rash (RR 6.45 95% CI 3.84-10.84). Conclusions: Regarding the efficacy and side effects, the combination of CTX / NTZ and radiotherapy may be an alterative treatment regimen of standard CDDP concurrent with radiotherapy in local-regionally advanced NPC, especially in patients who cannot tolerate or who refuse chemotherapy.

The target contour extraction is one of key questions in computer vision. Because of its intrinsic limitations, the traditional C-V method can not meet the requirements of inclusion image contour extraction. To overcome this shortcoming, this paper introduces image overlay to make some improvements on the C-V methods, which is based on simplified Mumford-Shah, and compares the different contour extraction results caused by traditional method and improved C-V method. The results vindicate the efficiency and feasibility of improved C-V method.

This paper analysises and evaluates vibration situation and gives the general procedure for vibration analysis of pumps units, which contain determination of each evaluation matter-element and comprehensive evaluation method based on matter-element. Evaluation matter-element is established by evaluation system of pumps vibration, aimed at a particular example. The factors affecting the vibration of the pump unit has three major factors of the mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, sub-factors of the three factors. According to the characteristics of the pump unit vibration and the current technical condition, the vibration is divided into five levels: most serious, more serious, normal, minor, and slight. The evaluation weight matter-element are established by using AHP, weight are determined by using the combination of AHP and entropy, finally comprehensive evaluation of pumps vibration performance is practiced. Thus, this evaluation is feasible and useful.

Considering the fractal characteristic of oilseed cake, the relationship between the permeability and the pore fractal dimension of peanut and sesame cake has been investigated. The microstructures of peanut and sesame cake under five applied pressures are measured by using stereo light microscope and Image-pro image analyzer. Using the box-counting method, the fractal dimensions of pore size distributions are measured. A mathematical model incorporated fractal dimension and permeability has been developed to predicate the permeability of compressed peanut and sesame under cold condition based upon combining Hagen-Poiseulle equation with Darcy’s law for flow of fluid through porous media. There is a prediction of permeability of peanut and sesame cake. Thus, a measurement is carried out for validation. The values of mean relative errors are 19.4% and 11.4 respectively. A fairly good agreement is obtained in the case of high applied pressure. And there exists a tendency that the value of the difference between the theoretical calculation and the permeability measurement decrease significantly with the increase of applied pressure.

Cutting forces and machining error in contouring of concave and convex surfaces using helical ball end mills are theoretically investigated. The cutting forces are evaluated based on the theory of oblique cutting. The machining errors resulting from the tool deflections due to these forces are evaluated at various points of the machined surface. The influence of various cutting conditions and cutting modes on machining error is investigated and discussed.

A technique of feature extraction based on vibration phase diagram for roller of rolling mill was discussed. Basic theory of roller fault diagnosis based on vibration phase diagram was presented, causes for phase diagram under different conditions was analyzed and a method of computing the eigenvalue for distribution density matrix was provided. To same one roller vibration under identical environment, the cooperation of phase point probability distribution is only relelation to the density of probability distribution, and unconcerned with noise. It is also different to phase point distribution density of different states. A experiment was conducted on ψ500×2 shrewd roller of rolling mill, the feature of roller signal was extracted based on vibration phase diagram and chose Hidden Markov Model (HMM) to build and identify mould. The experiment shows that this system has better identification rate, and proves that this technique is effective.

This paper studies on the design methods and key technologies of the system of rolling mill equipments management based on Web, in accordance with the the practical needs. This system adopted B/S as its structure, while developing software for rolling mill equipments management on the platform of Microsoft Visual Studio.NET. The system uses a three-tier hierarchical structure: User layer, Web Server layer and Database server layer. User layer refers to the user through the browser to complete the system remote services and information sharing. Web server layer is the link to contact the browser and the database, and used to store system function modular and application program. Database server layer is mainly used to store various data required for the system after being put into practice for a period, the efficiency of maintenance and management of rolling mill equipments has been increased obviously, thus the method can be used in the maintenance of rolling mill equipments.

By using of Kuhn`s yield criterion, plasticity constitutive equations of extruded oilseeds in a closed cylinderical cell were developed. The model parameters were identified from experimental stress—strain using an inverse method. The maximum relative deviations between the measured and the simulated value of soybean and cottonseed are 8.5% and 5.1% respectively, and the average relative deviations are 4.9% and 3.8% respectively. The results of numerical simulation for confined pressing of granular soybeans and cottonseeds in the closed cylinderical cell indicated the following facts that granular soybeans and cottonseeds conform to the model of three power curve, the plasticity constitutive equations can describe the plastic deformation for extruded soybean and cottonseed, and Kuhn`s yield criterion can be used as theoretical basis for plasticity model of granular soybeans and cottonseeds.

The experiments for stress—strain and confined pressing of granular peanuts by uniaxial pressing were carried out. The results show that granular peanuts conform to the model of three power curve. By using of Kuhn`s yield criterion, plasticity constitutive equations of granular peanuts were developed. The model parameters were determined from experimental stress—strain curve using an inverse method. The maximum relative deviation between the measured and the simulated value of strain is 5.4%, and the average relative deviation is 3.5%. Results indicated that the plasticity constitutive equations can describe the plastic deformation for extruded peanut, and Kuhn`s yield criterion can be used as theoretical basis for plasticity model of granular peanuts.

A kind of signal build mould and identification tool for roller of rolling mill was discussed. Basic algorithm of Hidden Markov model (HMM) theory was presented. For ψ500×2 shrewd roller of rolling mill, the paper led Short-time Fourier transform (STFT) into draw the feature of roller signal and chose Continues Gaussian Hidden Markov Model (CGHMM) to build and identify mould. The experiment installation major included: ψ500×2 shrewd rollers and roller performance test control work of rolling mill control machine as well as a set of online state inspection system. The experiment data was collected by two kinds: roller rotational speed from low to high and from high to low. The experiment shows that this system has better identification rate, and proves that this system is effective.

The profile of cycloid-arc screw compressor rotors is not a smooth profile, and it has a tip on it. When designing the hob cutter is used for machining this kind of rotors, the profile of hob edge will appear separation. In this paper, the design theory of hob cutter for hobbing the no-symmetric cycloid-arc rotor with tip profile is researched, and the best way for design this kind of hob cutter with a separate edge is attained according to practical design, manufacture and test. Its results are shown that it is good practice to design the hob cutter and hob the cycloid-arc rotor. Thus, the machining method for hobbing screw compressor can enhance high productivity and machining accuracy.

In view of the fact that dehulled rapeseed cake formed under cold pressing condition is a fractal structure, the relation between the permeability and the pore fractal dimension of dehulled rapeseed cake has been investigated using fractal geometry. The microstructures of dehulled rapeseed cake under six pressing pressures are measured by using scanning electronic microscope and Image-pro image analyzer. The fractal dimensions of pore size distributions are measured by the box-counting method. Combining Hagen-Poiseulle equation with Darcy’s law for flow of fluid through porous media, the relational expression of fractal dimension and permeability has been developed to predicate the permeability of compressed dehulled rapeseed cake under cold condition. The permeability experiments of dehulled rapeseed cake are also carried out in order to validate the predication model proposed in this study. The value of mean relative error is 15.5%. A fairly good agreement is obtained in the case of high pressing pressures.
