The structure of ceramic BiFe1‒xZnxO3 multiferroic samples is investigated using the X-ray diffraction method and Mössbauer spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction analysis of the samples indicates the existence of the Bi12(Bi0.5Fe0.5)O19.5 impurity phase. High-temperature heating of the samples generates additional phases. The parameters of the Mössbauer spectra depend on the zinc concentration. In this case, for pure bismuth ferrite, the spectrum is a superposition between two Zeeman sextets and two paramagnetic doublets arising from two nonequivalent magnetic and electrical positions occupied by iron ions at the crystallattice sites of a sample. The replacement of iron ions with zinc ions substantially affects the spectrum parameters. This is probably related to changes in the spin-cycloid structure typical of multiferroics, the destruction of which stimulates the appearance of significant magnetoelectric interactions. Three types of manifestations of Late Cenozoic endogenous activity (pyroclastic, hydrothermal explosive, and volcanogenic sedimentary formations) have been found over the last decade in different geostructural zones of the Terek-Caspian foretrough and the Alpine fold-thrust structure in the Eastern Caucasus. The results from Mössbauer studies show that these formations contain fractions of iron and its compounds with complex crystal structures in which Fe atoms occupy nonequivalent positions in the lattice with respect to their magnetic and electric fields, exist in different physicochemical states, and occur in various phases of the endogenous process products. A clinical case of a 21-year-old patient with polyorchism and torsion of the right testicle described. Polyorchism revealed in 2016. According to urgent indications, the operation performed on the right orchipexy. The postoperative period was uneventful. A control study after 2 years of pathology from the organs of the scrotum not revealed.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy of new super pulse thulium fiber laser (SP TFL) and compare it with holmium laser for ureterolithotripsy. Patients and Methods: A total of 174 patients with solitary ureteral calculi were enrolled in 2016 to 2018. Stone sizes ranged between 0.6 and 2.4 cm. The SP TFL FiberLase U2 and 120H Ho:YAG laser with fibers diameters of 400 and 365 μm, respectively, were used. The laser settings were 1 J × 10 Hz = 10 W for both devices. All patients were randomized into two groups. The age, stone size, location, and density were comparable in both groups. The evaluated parameters were operation time, endoscopic view quality, retropulsion grade, stone-free rate, and complication rate. Results: The total operation time and lasering time were longer in the Ho:YAG group (24.7 ± 0.7 minutes vs 32.4 ± 0.7 minutes, p  = 0.05), and postoperative stenting was necessary in one vs four cases, respectively. At 30 days of follow-up, no residual stones were observed in the SP TFL group ( vs five cases of Ho:YAG). Conclusion: SP TFL technology was associated with excellent efficacy/safety ratio. The SP TFL may be considered as a viable alternative to Ho:YAG laser stone management.
