1. Management of Acute Organic Change of Character cases by Liaison Psychiatry Unit

Abstract: Introduction The Acute Organic Change of Character (AOCC) is an organic mental disorder subtype in which perception, thought, mood and personality impairment predominate. It consists in a change in the individual’s general behaviour or attitude, which is shown to be closely associated with or caused by an underlying organic process, and which is rapidly resolved when the organic noxious agent is eliminated (Pintor et al. Journal of Psychiatry and Psychiatric Disorders 4 (2020): 354-358). Objectives To describe the importance of taking AOCC diagnosis into consideration and the role of liaison psychiatrists in AOCC management by presenting two AOCC cases admitted to the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona. Methods We retrospectively reviewed two AOCC cases in patients followed by our hospital’s liaison psychiatry unit during the summer of 2023. We also searched for previous case reports of AOCC using a PubMed query. Results Case 1: A 50-year-old male who suffered a polytrauma with diffuse axonal injury (DAI). His relatives and the referring medical team observed a change in his behaviour consisting in irritability, suspicion, hostility and impatience. No cognitive impairment nor fluctuation in the described symptoms were observed. At the time of discharge character changes were still present due to DAI slow and unpredictable clinical course. Symptomatic treatment with risperidone 6mg/day and quetiapine 100mg/day was administered achieving a satisfactory clinical response. Case 2: A 47-year-old woman with type 2 diabetes who suffered an infectious cellulitis that spread causing sepsis. The patient began to appear disruptive with verbose and tangential speech during her admission. No cognitive impairment nor fluctuation in the described symptoms were observed. Symptomatic treatment with risperidone 10mg/day and olanzapine 5mg/day was administered achieving a satisfactory clinical response. At the time of discharge character changes described before were almost resolved. Conclusions The clinical presentation of both cases suggested organic mental disorders in which a change in general behaviour predominates. Liaison psychiatrists play a key role in AOCC management by recognizing the clinical pattern, helping if needed with psychopharmacological treatment and ensuring a good understanding of the disorder both by the referring medical team and the patient’s relatives. To our knowledge, it would be of great importance to achieve a better understanding of this clinical condition which to date we consider to be underdiagnosed. Disclosure of Interest None Declared

Abstract: The proton drip-line nucleus 17Ne is investigated experimentally in order to determine its two-proton halo character. A fully exclusive measurement of the 17Ne(p,2p)16F→15⁎O+p quasi-free one-proton knockout reaction has been performed at GSI at around 500 MeV/nucleon beam energy. All particles resulting from the scattering process have been detected. The relevant reconstructed quantities are the angles of the two protons scattered in quasi-elastic kinematics, the decay of 16F into 15O (including γ decays from excited states) and a proton, as well as the 15O+p relative-energy spectrum and the 16F momentum distributions. The latter two quantities allow an independent and consistent determination of the fractions of l=0 and l=2 motion of the valence protons in 17Ne. With a resulting relatively small l=0 component of only around 35(3)%, it is concluded that 17Ne exhibits a rather modest halo character only. The quantitative agreement of the two values deduced from the energy spectrum and the momentum distributions supports the theoretical treatment of the calculation of momentum distributions after quasi-free knockout reactions at high energies by taking into account distortions based on the Glauber theory. Moreover, the experimental data allow the separation of valence-proton knockout and knockout from the 15O core. The latter process contributes with 11.8(3.1) mb around 40% to the total proton-knockout cross section of 30.3(2.3) mb, which explains previously reported contradicting conclusions derived from inclusive cross sections.

Abstract: Single-neutron and single-proton removal cross sections have been measured for medium-mass neutron-rich nuclei around Z=50 and energies around 1000A MeV using the FRagment Separator (FRS) at GSI. The measured cross sections confirm the relative low values of the proton-removal cross sections, observed since a long time ago and not yet understood. Model calculations considering the knock-out process together with initial- and final-state interactions describe the measured neutron-removal cross sections. Proton-removal cross sections are, however, significantly over-predicted by the same calculations. The observed difference can be explained to a large extent by the knock-out of short-range correlated nucleons from dominant neutron-proton pairs in neutron-rich nuclei.

Abstract: Background: The Global Anticoagulant Registry in the FIELD–Atrial Fibrillation (GARFIELD-AF) is an ongoing prospective noninterventional registry, which is providing important information on the baseline characteristics, treatment patterns, and 1-year outcomes in patients with newly diagnosed non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). This report describes data from Indian patients recruited in this registry. Methods and results: A total of 52,014 patients with newly diagnosed AF were enrolled globally; of these, 1388 patients were recruited from 26 sites within India (2012–2016). In India, the mean age was 65.8 years at diagnosis of NVAF. Hypertension was the most prevalent risk factor for AF, present in 68.5% of patients from India and in 76.3% of patients globally (P

Abstract: Aportamos citas de cinco plantas alóctonas nuevas para Europa —Commelina erecta, Cylindropuntia fulgida, Dasylirion serratifolium, xGraptosedum y Senecio crassissimus—, dos nuevas para la península ibérica —Lobelia laxiflora subsp. angustifolia y Pennisetum flaccidum— y cuatro nuevas para Cataluña —Dimorphotheca fruticosa, xGasteraloe beguinii, Opuntia elatior y Tradescantia sillamontana—. También presentamos nuevos datos sobre diez plantas poco citadas en Cataluña. En las últimas décadas el cultivo de plantas ornamentales constituye la principal causa de introducción de especies alóctonas a escala mundial, algunas de las cuales son potencialmente invasoras. La mayoría de las plantas que constan en este trabajo son escapadas de cultivos o provienen de vertidos de restos de jardinería. Algunas especies se encuentran localmente naturalizadas y en algún caso podrían presentar un comportamiento invasor.

Abstract: New experimental data for dissociation of relativistic 17Ne projectiles incident on targets of lead, carbon, and polyethylene targets at GSI are presented. Special attention is paid to the excitation and decay of narrow resonant states in 17Ne. Distributions of internal energy in the O15+p+p three-body system have been determined together with angular and partial-energy correlations between the decay products in different energy regions. The analysis was done using existing experimental data on 17Ne and its mirror nucleus 17N. The isobaric multiplet mass equation is used for assignment of observed resonances and their spins and parities. A combination of data from the heavy and light targets yielded cross sections and transition probabilities for the Coulomb excitations of the narrow resonant states. The resulting transition probabilities provide information relevant for a better understanding of the 17Ne structure.

9. State Controllability Analysis for Irreversible Systems Using Set Theory

Abstract: The irreversible systems have been little studied within the control theory framework, although one of their relevant cases is the batch process control problem. Therefore, in this work a method for analysing state controllability of irreversible systems is proposed. The method uses set theory and its extension to batch processes. Definitions for Reversible Set and Controllable Trajectories Set, both for nonlinear systems, are given in order to analyze state controllability for irreversible systems. Additionally, an algorithm for calculating mentioned sets from the dynamic process knowledge is proposed. The proposal is applied to a batch process benchmark. Obtained simulation results demonstrate the advantages of that proposal to analyze the state controllability of irreversible systems.

Abstract: Chondroma is a benign tumour of mesenchymal origin that is composed of cartilage and rarely located in soft tissues, being described so far only in four cases, as located in the bladder, according to our knowledge. We describe the fifth case of a 67-year-old woman who consulted for microscopic haematuria, with an endoscopic finding of submucosal nodular image in the anterior wall of the bladder, which after resection and the histologic study shows cartilage and fibroconnective tissue, in part hyalinised, and positive immunohistochemical staining of cells with vimentin and S-100; this fact can support the diagnosis of bladder chondroma.

Abstract: A method that uses fuzzy clustering algorithms to achieve particle identification based on pulse shape analysis is presented. The fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm is used to compute mean (principal) pulse shapes induced by different particle species in an automatic and unsupervised fashion from a mixed set of data. A discrimination amplitude is proposed using these principal pulse shapes to identify the originating particle species of a detector pulse. Since this method does not make any assumptions about the specific features of the pulse shapes, it is very generic and suitable for multiple types of detectors. The method is applied to discriminate between photon- and proton-induced signals in CsI(Tl) scintillator detectors and the results are compared to the well-known integration method., Comment: 7 pages, 7 figures

Abstract: The emission of e+e- pairs from C+C collisions at an incident energy of 1 GeV per nucleon has been investigated. The measured production probabilities, spanning from the pi0-Dalitz to the rho/omega! invariant-mass region, display a strong excess above the cocktail of standard hadronic sources. The bombarding-energy dependence of this excess is found to scale like pion production, rather than like eta production. Abstract: Using non-contact scanning probe microscopy (SPM) techniques, dielectric properties were studied on 50 nanometer length scales in poly-vinyl-acetate (PVAc) films in the vicinity of the glass transition. Low frequency (1/f) noise observed in the measurements, was shown to arise from thermal fluctuations of the electric polarization. Anomalous variations observed in the noise spectrum provide direct evidence for cooperative nano-regions with heterogeneous kinetics. The cooperative length scale was determined. Abstract: Esta investigación contribuye al conocimiento de las características específicas de la atmósfera de una localidad con la finalidad de preservar y conservar la salud de las personas, la calidad del aire ambiente, el bienestar de los ecosistemas y del ambiente en general. Así, el propósito de esta investigación es presentar el procedimiento y análisis realizados para obtener el coeficiente de estratificación horizontal y vertical, y determinar la concentración máxima de contaminantes a partir de fuentes puntuales fijas en la Ciudad de Loja – Ecuador, a partir del modelo de Berlyand. Mediante la metodología investigación se logró determinar las clases de estabilidad predominantes en la Ciudad de Loja. Así mismo, se determinó los valores promedio de los parámetros de dispersión. Finalmente, se obtuvo analíticamente el valor del coeficiente A para la Ciudad de Loja a partir de la ecuación de Berlyand, cuyo valor es de 83.

Abstract: Phenolic compounds are toxic and dangerous to the environment and human health. Although the removal of phenols and their derivatives is very difficult, it has been achieved by applying some biological processes. The capacity of microalga to remove phenolic compounds has been demonstrated; however, few reports of the removal of these compounds in a mixture have been published. The removal of phenol, p-cresol and o-cresol was performed by batch kinetics at 50 and 100 mg L−1, and the simultaneous degradation of phenol, p-cresol and o-cresol was carried out in a mixture at 40 mg L−1 using the marine microalga Tetraselmis suecica. The kinetic study was carried out for 192 h. For concentrations of 50 mg L−1 and 100 mg L−1, phenolic compound consumption efficiencies greater than 100% and 85%, respectively, were obtained, and up to 73.6% removal in the mixture. The results obtained indicate that the marine microalga carries out a process of the oxidation of organic matter and phenolic compounds, mineralizing up to 31.4% to CO2 in the mixture. Biological treatments using the marine microalga T. suecica can be considered feasible to treat effluents with concentrations similar to those of the present study.

Abstract: The toxic effect of cadmium, chromium, copper, mercury, manganese, nickel and lead on adult Acanthocyclops americanuscopepods was evaluated to determine the sensitivity of this species to these metals. Toxicity tests were carried out to determine the LC50, after which bioassays were carried out with environmentally relevant sublethal concentrations in order to measure oxidative damage to cell membranes as well as neurotoxic effects. Cadmium was the most toxic metal and manganese was the least harmful. Copper had the greatest oxidative effect (lipid peroxidation) and nickel had the least effect. A 3% to 79% drop was observed in acetylcholinesterase (AchE) activity, with copper causing the greatest inhibitory effect. A. americanus sensitivity to cadmium, manganese and lead was similar to that recorded for Daphnia magna neonates, but the copepods were less sensitive to chromium, copper, mercury and nickel. The response of A. americanus to exposure to metals makes it possible to propose it as a test organism to evaluate the presence and effect of these elements, particularly cadmium, manganese and lead, in toxicity studies, and possibly for monitoring purposes.

Abstract: During the last decade, the use of inverse kinematics in the experimental study of fission is bringing a wealth of new observables obtained in single measurements, allowing their analysis and their correlations. An ongoing application of this technique is the basis of a series of experiments performed with the variable-mode, large-acceptance VAMOS++ spectrometer at GANIL. A recent experiment has been focused on the survival of the nuclear structure effects at high excitation energy in fission and quasi-fission. The full isotopic identification of fragments, the fission dynamics and the ratio between the production of fragments with even and odd atomic numbers, the so-called proton even-odd effect, are shown. The latter shows a different mechanism for fission and quasi-fission that could be used to separate fission from quasi-fission.

Abstract: We have identified 453 compact dense cores in 3 mm continuum emission maps in the ATOMS (ALMA Three-millimeter Observations of Massive Star-forming regions) survey, and compiled three catalogues of high-mass star forming cores. One catalogue, referred to as H/UC-HII catalogue, includes 89 cores that enshroud hyper/ultra compact (H/UC) HII regions as characterized by associated compact H40alpha emission. A second catalogue, referred to as pure s-cHMC, includes 32 candidate Hot Molecular Cores (HMCs) showing rich spectra (N>20lines) of complex organic molecules (COMs) but not associated with H/UC-HII regions. The third catalogue, referred to as pure w-cHMC, includes 58 candidate HMCs with relatively low levels of COM richness and not associated with H/UC-HII regions. These three catalogues of dense cores provide an important foundation for future studies of the early stages of high-mass star formation across the Milky Way. We also find that nearly half of H/UC-HII cores are candidate HMCs. From the number counts of COM-containing and H/UC-HII cores, we suggest that the duration of high-mass protostellar cores showing chemically rich features is at least comparable to the lifetime of H/UC-HII regions. For cores in the H/UC-HII catalogue, the width of the H40alpha line increases as the core size decreases, suggesting that the non-thermal dynamical and/or pressure line-broadening mechanisms dominate on the smaller scales of the H/UC-HII cores., 17 pages, five tables, and 11 figures. Abstract: The toxic effect of cadmium, chromium, copper, mercury, manganese, nickel and lead on adult Acanthocyclops americanuscopepods was evaluated to determine the sensitivity of this species to these metals. Toxicity tests were carried out to determine the LC50, after which bioassays were carried out with environmentally relevant sublethal concentrations in order to measure oxidative damage to cell membranes as well as neurotoxic effects. Cadmium was the most toxic metal and manganese was the least harmful. Copper had the greatest oxidative effect (lipid peroxidation) and nickel had the least effect. A 3% to 79% drop was observed in acetylcholinesterase (AchE) activity, with copper causing the greatest inhibitory effect. A. americanus sensitivity to cadmium, manganese and lead was similar to that recorded for Daphnia magna neonates, but the copepods were less sensitive to chromium, copper, mercury and nickel. The response of A. americanus to exposure to metals makes it possible to propose it as a test organism to evaluate the presence and effect of these elements, particularly cadmium, manganese and lead, in toxicity studies, and possibly for monitoring purposes.

Pacientes y metodos Se trata de un estudio retrospectivo que incluye 140 pacientes con diagnostico de neoplasias mieloproliferativas Filadelfia negativas (NMP Fi−) de un unico centro. Resultados En la TE, los pacientes con la mutacion el JAK2 V617F, presentaron un mayor numero de leucocitos y neutrofilos que aquellos que presentaron la mutacion en CALR. Los CALR mutados obtuvieron un mayor numero de plaquetas y mayor necesidad de tratamiento citorreductor. Estos hallazgos apoyan el hecho de que el estado mutacional en la TE parece definir subtipos de pacientes con un curso clinico y pronostico substancialmente diferentes. En la MF el estado mutacional parece influir en los cambios histopatologicos encontrados en la BMO, lo que no ocurrio en PV y TE.

Abstract: The accuracy of reaction theories used to extract properties of exotic nuclei from scattering experiments is often unknown or not quantified, but of utmost importance when, e.g., constraining the equation of state of asymmetric nuclear matter from observables as the neutron-skin thickness. In order to test the Glauber multiple-scattering model, the total interaction cross section of Image 1 on carbon targets was measured at initial beam energies of 400, 550, 650, 800, and 1000 MeV/nucleon. The measurements were performed during the first experiment of the newly constructed R3B (Reaction with Relativistic Radioactive Beams) experiment after the start of FAIR Phase-0 at the GSI/FAIR facility with beam energies of 400, 550, 650, 800, and 1000 MeV/nucleon. The combination of the large-acceptance dipole magnet GLAD and a newly designed and highly efficient Time-of-Flight detector enabled a precise transmission measurement with several target thicknesses for each initial beam energy with an experimental uncertainty of ±0.4%. A comparison with the Glauber model revealed a discrepancy of around 3.1% at higher beam energies, which will serve as a crucial baseline for the model-dependent uncertainty in future fragmentation experiments.

Abstract: La obra que aquí presentamos puede ser leída de diversos modos. En primer lugar, como un libro que busca transmitir y continuar una de las creaciones más innovadoras de David Maldavsky, su método de investigación psicoanalítica del discurso, el Algoritmo David Liberman (ADL). Dicho método, si bien ha sido desarrollado por su autor durante veinticinco años aproximadamente, es tributario de sus indagaciones teóricas y clínicas previas, del profundo trabajo sobre los fundamentos de la teoría freudiana que realizó desde los años setenta. Bajo esta primera forma de lectura, entonces, el libro está organizado en tres partes. La primera contiene las bases teóricas del método, sobre todo lo relativo a los conceptos de pulsión y defensa. En la segunda parte, se describen los instrumentos y procedimientos del ADL, todo lo cual permite comprender el modo en que Maldavsky operacionalizó los conceptos mencionados. Finalmente, la última parte del libro contiene seis capítulos en los que se exponen, a partir de investigaciones concretas, los modos y rendimientos de la aplicación de aquellos instrumentos. El aprendizaje del ADL no solo permite incorporar el conocimiento de un valioso instrumento para la investigación sistemática en psicoanálisis, sino que también deviene en un conjunto de herramientas teóricas fecundas en la tarea clínica y que pasan a formar parte del preconciente del analista y complejizan su práctica cotidiana. Abstract: During last 5 years, the Ministry of Public Works and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso are developing a Risk Management System applied in several road infrastructures called GRDR. This methodology is focus on the inspection on: 1. Structures in order to identify the vulnerability; 2. environmental conditions with the aim to identify the exposure and hazard. The relations between these indexes use an algorithm to apply the weight on the parameters. Currently, the deterministics inspection use a comprehensive management program provides an index of vulnerability (Performance indicators) in structures as bridges and pavements. But it is not included the hazard or exposure index. This paper delivers the first index of hazards and exposure related with seismic, flooding and fire threat applied on the Risk Management System (GRDR), with an implementation on two main Chilean structures, namely: La Pólvora Tunnel T3, a medium long span structure, located at the Region Valparaiso, in the maritime and urban area exposed in the last years an earthquakes and fire hazards, and Subway Line 3, located in Santiago, the new station in service during 2018 with a high users and hazard by earthquake and flooding.

Abstract: The analysis presented was carried out in an area of Loja Province, Ecuador, with the objective of determining the functioning of the different geospatial systems for the evaluation of the reforestation of the territory, degraded by different activities that are developed in open sky. It was departed from the running of the model of Hottel, that considering the absence of data series of meteorological variables, theoretical methods were used for the calculation of the insolation variable, in Labview software. Considering the affectations by the presence of cloudiness as well as by the surfaces of shade orographic, this was implemented for a Geographic Information System (GIS) taking advantage of the characteristics of these applications for spatial analyses. The analysis of temperature and precipitation was also included considering the variations in altitude [1] for the realization of the functional analysis of the territory. From the joint analyses of both methods were obtained maps that allowed defining the zones with conditions of dampening and flows of radiation and caloric potentials, whose result will allow the specialists of the biotic part to determine the species for reforestation in the area. The digital elevation model (MDE) of the South Region of Ecuador was obtained and the maps of slopes, orientation of the surfaces and slopes oriented, from which, through analysis of cross-images allowed the determination of the maps of radiation, temperature, and precipitation considering the geomorphologic characteristics. La supraglottoplastie est la chirurgie la plus repandue pour traiter la LM severe mais elle ne suffit pas en cas de bascule rostrocaudale de l’epiglotte contre la paroi pharyngee posterieure. Resume du cas clinique Nous rapportons le cas d’un nourrisson de 2 mois atteint de laryngomalacie severe avec un collapsus glottique majeur de l’epiglotte entrainant une obstruction secondaire des voies aeriennes, des troubles de la deglutition et un retard de croissance staturoponderale. Une epiglottopexie par puncture transcutanee a ete realisee avec un resultat satisfaisant. Avec un recul de 2 ans, le patient est reste asymptomatique sans aucun evenement indesirable. Discussion L’obstruction glottique secondaire a un collapsus posterieur de l’epiglotte est le type de laryngomalacie le plus severe entrainant des symptomes respiratoires graves et un retard de croissance staturoponderale. L’epiglottopexie par puncture transcutanee est une nouvelle technique, peu onereuse car elle ne necessite pas de materiel specifique et peut etre realisee par laryngoscopie en suspension. Elle peut etre pratiquee seule ou en association avec une supraglottoplastie traditionnelle.

Abstract: The Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma is a very rare cancer and rather exceptional when located in bladder diverticulum. it occurs in men in their sixties, manifests itself through haematuria and/or irritative micturition. There is not a causal association. An immunohistochemical analysis is necessary to establish a differential diagnosis. It is aggressive, with a high rate of local recurrence and remote progression, thereby requiring early treatment that consists of radical cystectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection followed by adjuvant therapy, predominantly radiotherapy on the surgical wound. Close follow-up is crucially important. Poor survival rate even when patients undergo multimodal therapy.

Abstract: A 35-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital for urachal carcinoma with oligometastatic bone disease. He received a surgical resection through the umbilical area, urachal ligament and bladder dome (partial cystectomy) and adjuvant chemotherapy based on cisplatin-gemcitabine regimens together zoledronic acid with a good tolerance, no toxicity. Nine months after surgery, our patient presented no symptoms and the metastasis had been brought under control with no apparent signs of recurrence as assessed in a follow-up CT. To our knowledge, is the first case report of a urachal carcinoma with oligometastatic bone disease who received multimodal therapy, including surgery resection. Abstract: We analyze the gas mass distribution, the gas kinematics, and the young stellar object (YSO) content of the California Molecular Cloud (CMC) L1482 filament. We derive a Gaia DR2 YSO distance of 511$^{+17}_{-16}$ pc. We derive scale-free power-laws for the mean gas line-mass (M/L) profiles; we calculate the gravitational potential and field profiles consistent with these. We present IRAM 30 m C$^{18}$O (1-0) (and other tracers) position-velocity (PV) diagrams that exhibit complex velocity twisting and turning structures. We find a rotational profile in C$^{18}$O perpendicular to the southern filament ridgeline. The profile is regular, confined ($r\lesssim0.4$ pc), anti-symmetric, and to first order linear with a break at $r\sim0.25$ pc. The timescales of the inner (outer) gradients are $\sim$0.7 (6.0) Myr. We show that the centripetal force, compared to gravity, increases toward the break; when the ratio of forces approaches unity, the profile turns over, just before filament breakup is achieved. The timescales and relative roles of gravity to rotation indicate that the structure is stable, long lived ($\sim$ a few times 6 Myr), and undergoing outside-in evolution. Moreover, this filament has practically no star formation, a perpendicular Planck plane-of-the-sky (POS) magnetic field morphology, and POS "zig-zag" morphology, which together with the rotation profile lead to the suggestion that the 3D shape is a corkscrew filament with a helical magnetic field. These results, combined with results in Orion and G035.39-00.33, suggest evolution toward higher densities as rotating filaments shed angular momentum. Thus, magnetic fields may be an essential feature of high-mass (M $\sim10^5$ M$_{\odot}$) cloud filament evolution toward cluster formation., Comment: 23 pages, 17 figures. Abstract: We report the upgrade and operation of a frequency-comb-assisted high-resolution mid-infrared molecular spectrometer, allowing us to combine high spectral purity, International System of Units (SI)-traceability, wide tunability, and high sensitivity. An optical frequency comb is used to transfer the spectral purity of a SI-traceable 1.54 μm metrology-grade frequency reference to a 10.3 μm quantum cascade laser (QCL). The near-infrared reference is operated at the French time/frequency metrology institute, calibrated there to primary frequency standards, and transferred to Laboratoire de Physique des Lasers via the REFIMEVE fiber network. The QCL exhibits a linewidth of δν ∼ 0.1 Hz and a sub-10−15 relative frequency stability from 0.1 to 10 s, and its frequency is traceable to the SI with a total relative uncertainty better than 4 × 10−14 after 1 s averaging time. We have developed the instrumentation allowing comb modes to be continuously tuned over 9 GHz, resulting in a QCL of record spectral purity uninterruptedly tunable at the precision of the reference over an unprecedented span of Δν = 1.4 GHz. We have used our apparatus to conduct sub-Doppler spectroscopy of methanol in a multi-pass cell, demonstrating state-of-the-art frequency uncertainties down to the few kilohertz level (∼10−10 in relative value). We have observed weak intensity resonances unreported so far, resolved subtle doublets never seen before, and brought to light discrepancies with HITRAN. This demonstrates the potential of our apparatus for probing subtle internal molecular processes, building accurate spectroscopic models of polyatomic molecules of atmospheric or astrophysical interest, and carrying out precise spectroscopic tests of fundamental physics.
