In the present paper, we establish geometric properties, such as starlikeness and convexity of order $$\alpha $$ ( $$0 \le \alpha < 1$$ ), and close-to-convexity in the open unit disk $${\mathbb {U}} := \{z \in {\mathbb {C}}: |z| \beta , z \in {\mathbb {U}} \right\} $$ , $$0 \le \beta

An approach to the generalized Bessel–Maitland function is proposed in the present paper. It is denoted by$\mathcal{J}_{\nu , \lambda }^{\mu }$Jν,λμ, where$\mu >0$μ>0and$\lambda ,\nu \in \mathbb{C\ }$λ,ν∈Cget increasing interest from both theoretical mathematicians and applied scientists. The main objective is to establish the integral representation of$\mathcal{J}_{\nu ,\lambda }^{\mu }$Jν,λμby applying Gauss’s multiplication theorem and the representation for the beta function as well as Mellin–Barnes representation using the residue theorem. Moreover, themth derivative of$\mathcal{J}_{\nu ,\lambda }^{\mu }$Jν,λμis considered, and it turns out that it is expressed as the Fox–Wright function. In addition, the recurrence formulae and other identities involving the derivatives are derived. Finally, the monotonicity of the ratio between two modified Bessel–Maitland functions$\mathcal{I}_{\nu ,\lambda }^{\mu }$Iν,λμdefined by$\mathcal{I}_{\nu ,\lambda }^{\mu }(z)=i^{-2\lambda -\nu }\mathcal{J}_{ \nu ,\lambda }^{\mu }(iz)$Iν,λμ(z)=i−2λ−νJν,λμ(iz)of a different order, the ratio between modified Bessel–Maitland and hyperbolic functions, and some monotonicity results for$\mathcal{I}_{\nu ,\lambda }^{\mu }(z)$Iν,λμ(z)are obtained where the main idea of the proofs comes from the monotonicity of the quotient of two Maclaurin series. As an application, some inequalities (like Turán-type inequalities and their reverse) are proved. Further investigations on this function are underway and will be reported in a forthcoming paper.

We then compare the orders of starlikeness and convexity given by both techniques to illustrate the efficacy of the approach. In addition, we proved that for some values of α, if $\lambda >-1$ λ > − 1 then $\operatorname{Re} (\mathfrak{J}_{\nu ,\lambda }^{\mu ,m}(z)/z )>\alpha $ Re ( J ν , λ μ , m ( z ) / z ) > α , $z\in \mathbb{U}$ z ∈ U , and if $\lambda \ge (\sqrt{10}-6 )/4$ λ ≥ ( 10 − 6 ) / 4 then the function $(\mathfrak{J}_{\nu ,\lambda }^{\mu ,m}(z^{2})/z )\ast \sin z$ ( J ν , λ μ , m ( z 2 ) / z ) ∗ sin z is close-to-convex with respect to $1/2\log ((1+z)/(1-z) )$ 1 / 2 log ( ( 1 + z ) / ( 1 − z ) ) where ∗ stands for the Hadamard product (or convolution) of two power series.

Background: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is one of the most common chronic bacterial infections in the world, and it is currently estimated that approximately half of the world's population is infected with the bacterium. The correct diagnosis and effective treatment of H. pylori gastric infection are essential in controlling this condition. The available diagnostic methods have advantages and limitations related to factors such as age of patients, technical difficulty level, costs and extensive accessibility in hospitals. The eradication therapy of H. pylori infection is still a challenge for gastroenterologists. One of the main causes of failure in H. pylori eradication is antibiotic resistance. Biopsy cultures are the most widely used methods among the antimicrobial susceptibility tests. Aim of Study: The aim of this work was to determine the proper regiment of H. Pylori treatment according to gastro-duodenal tissue culture and antibiotic sensitivity. Patients and Methods: This study included 50 patients with Helicobacter Pylori Ag positive stools and positive occult blood in stool. Their age ranged from 1.5 to 17 years old, 60% of them were female. 37 patients showed positive gastric and duodenal cultures and received treatment according to results of cultures. Results: Antibiotic sensitivity of gastric culture shows that Levofloxacin had the highest antibiotic sensitivity (93.5%), followed by clarithromycin and amoxicillin in (77%) and (67.7%) respectively. But, 100% of cases were resistant to the Metronidazole. In duodenal culture, Levofloxacin had the highest antibiotic sensitivity (96.4%), followed by, clarithro-mycin and amoxicillin in (71.4%) for each. But, 100% of cases were resistant to the Metronidazole. All patientsreceived PPI and Levofloxacin, while about 59% and 30% of patients received Amoxacillin and Clarithromycin respectively. Conclusion: Treatment of Helicobacter Pylori should be tailored according to tissue culture and sensitivity.

Background: There is an increasing interest for Notch signalling pathway and particularly Delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4), a Notch ligand as potential therapeutic target to improve outcome for patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Aim: characterize the expression of DLL4 in PDAC and ampullary adenocarcinoma (AA), evaluate their correlation with clinicopathologic features and patients’ survival. Materials and Methods: In a retrospective study, using immunohistochemistry, we assessed the expression of DLL4 in 62 cases composed of 39 cases of PDAC and 23 cases of AA undergone Whipple and received adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy.We assessed the expression level of DLL4 both in tumor cells and stromal vascular endothelial cells. The relationships of DLL4 expression with clinico-pathologic parameters and clinical outcome were evaluated. Results: There was no statistically significant relation between clinico-pathological parameters and DLL4 score expression in tumor cells of PDAC cases. However, there was statistically significant relation between DLL4 score expression in tumor cells of AA cases and tumor stage (p= 0.041). Also, there was no statistical significance regarding DLL4 expression in stromal cells in PDAC and AA cases and clinico-pathological parameters. Regarding survival functions for pancreatic & ampullary tumor cases; the median overall survival (OS) was 10 and 22 months for pancreatic (95% CI: 1-45) and ampullary tumors (95% CI: 1-69) respectively. OS for pancreatic and ampullary tumors was higher in cases with low DLL4 expression versus cases with high expressions with no statistically significance (P=0.48 & 0.09 respectively). The median Progression free survival (PFS) was 7 and 17.5 months for pancreatic (95% CI: 0-43) and ampullary tumors (95% CI: 0-96) respectively. PFS was higher in cases with low DLL4 expression rather than cases with high expressions with no statistically significant differences (P=0.52 and 0.19

Using the third-order differential subordination basic results, we introduce certain classes of admissible functions and investigate some applications of third-order differential subordination for p-valent functions associated with generalized fractional differintegral operator.

By making use of the pre-Schwarzian norm given bywe obtain such norm estimates for Hohlov operator of functions belonging to the class of uniformly convex functions of orderαand typeβ. We also employ an entirely new method to generalize and extend the results of Theorems 1, 2 and 3 in [3]. Finally, some inequalities concerning the norm of the pre-Schwarzian derivative for Dziok-Srivastava operator are also considered.

Inclusion relations for functions in the class $\mathcal {S}_{p,q}^{\lambda,\mu,\eta }\left (\zeta ;A,B\right) \ $ and the images of these functions by the generalized Bernardi-Libera-Livingston integral operator are also considered.

We introduce sufficient conditions for (Gaussian) hypergeometric functions to be in a subclass of analytic functions. In addition, we investigate several mapping properties for convolutions and integral convolutions involving hypergeometric functions.

Nano-structured Bi2Te3, Polyaniline (PANI) and PANI/ Bi2Te3 were synthesized by Solvothermal method. The crystallite size, Strain, inter-chain separation and unit cell volume were calculated from the X-ray diffraction (XRD) results by using Win fit and Unit cell software. The Gamma irradiation (γ-rays) with dose 50 KGy affects the peaks positions for the PANI samples whereas; it affects the intensity of Bi2Te3 samples. Thermal conductivity measurements were investigated from the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) with respect to Indium (In) melting temperature curve. 50 KGy dose does not show a remarkable change in the PANI and PANI/ Bi2Te3 values on contrast the value of Bi2Te3 sample was reduced.

By making use of the q-derivative operator in conjunction with the principle of subordination between analytic functions, we introduce two subclasses of analytic functions in the open unit disk U. We investigate convolution properties and coefficient estimates for these subclasses.

Significance Monitoring vital signs for laboring women and their fetuses is foundational to the delivery of obstetrical care; however, monitoring platforms for pregnancy have undergone little innovation over the last several decades with many low-income settings lacking basic access. We report a new time-synchronized, flexible, and wireless sensor system applicable across the entire continuum of antepartum and postpartum care that provides continuous, comprehensive, and noninvasive monitoring (heart rate, respiratory rate, and pulse oxygenation) compatible with a wide range of mobile devices. This system offers advanced features such as continuous blood pressure, uterine electrohysterography, and automated body position classification. We further demonstrate the performance of this new system among pregnant individuals (n = 576) in both high-resource settings and low-resource care settings., Vital signs monitoring is a fundamental component of ensuring the health and safety of women and newborns during pregnancy, labor, and childbirth. This monitoring is often the first step in early detection of pregnancy abnormalities, providing an opportunity for prompt, effective intervention to prevent maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Contemporary pregnancy monitoring systems require numerous devices wired to large base units; at least five separate devices with distinct user interfaces are commonly used to detect uterine contractility, maternal blood oxygenation, temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and fetal heart rate. Current monitoring technologies are expensive and complex with implementation challenges in low-resource settings where maternal morbidity and mortality is the greatest. We present an integrated monitoring platform leveraging advanced flexible electronics, wireless connectivity, and compatibility with a wide range of low-cost mobile devices. Three flexible, soft, and low-profile sensors offer comprehensive vital signs monitoring for both women and fetuses with time-synchronized operation, including advanced parameters such as continuous cuffless blood pressure, electrohysterography-derived uterine monitoring, and automated body position classification. Successful field trials of pregnant women between 25 and 41 wk of gestation in both high-resource settings (n = 91) and low-resource settings (n = 485) demonstrate the system’s performance, usability, and safety.

For p-valent functions associated with new operator, we study different properties of the differential subordination and superordination related to defined linear operator. Also, we obtain sandwich results for p-valent functions connected to this operator. Furthermore, an application to vortex motion are considered.

In this paper, we obtain Fekete-Szegö functional |a₁-μa₀²| for functions of the classes Σ_{q}^{∗}(ϕ) and Σ_{q,λ,b}^{∗}(g,ϕ) using quasi-subordination. Sharp bounds for the Fekete-Szegö functional |a₁-μa₀²| are obtained. Also, applications of the main results for subclasses of functions defined by Bessel function are also considered.

Influence of γ-irradiation on structural, optical and electrical properties of thermally evaporated iron (III) chloride tetraphenylporphyrin (FeTPPCl) thin films have been reported. The structural features are investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) techniques. The optical constants of as-deposited and γ-irradiated FeTPPCl thin films have been determined in the wavelength range 200–2500 nm using spectrophotometric measurements at nearly normal incidence of light. The calculated values of the absorption coefficient,α, are used to estimate the type of transitions for as-deposited and γ-irradiated FeTPPCl thin films. The real part of the refractive index in the transparent region is discussed by using a single-oscillator and Drude models. According to Millerʼs rule, the single oscillator model is used to deduce the third-order nonlinear susceptibility, χ(3). The temperature dependence of DC electrical conductivity, σDC, confirms the semiconducting behaviour of FeTPPCl thin films. A free band type in the higher temperature region and hopping type in the low-temperature region have been used to explain the DC conduction mechanisms of FeTPPCl thin films.

In the present work, a systematic preparation of Bi2Te2.85Se0.15−xSx (x = 0.0, 0.02, 0.04 and 0.06) compositions was carried out by solvothermal method. The materials were characterized by XRD, SEM, EDX, TEM and Raman spectroscopy. XRD, as well as TEM, to confirm the nanostructure of samples. The electrical and thermal properties were investigated in the temperature range from room temperature to 600 K. The highest power factor was 1.3 × 10−2 mW/K2 m at 600 K for (x = 0.06) sample. This improvement in the thermoelectric properties may be due to the ordered atomic arrangement of Bi, Te, and Se induced by sulphur in the Bi2Te2.85Se0.15−xSx nanocomposites, which was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectral analysis. The optical properties, such as energy gap, refractive index, extinction coefficient and dielectric constants, were obtained from the diffused reflectance data in the range of 200 to 800 nm. Sulphur doping influences the optical energy gap, reaching the lowest value for x = 0.04 samples (0.14 eV), while the highest allowed energy gap was found in x = 0.06 ones (0.41 eV). Also, It should be mentioned that dielectric constants (εr and εi) were affected due to Sulphur doping, whereas the samples with x = 0.04 and 0.02 have the highest and lowest εr, respectively, and the opposite for εi when increasing the wavelength., A. This research study aims at introducing the compressed earth block (CEB) as an environmentally friendly construction alternative in the state of Kuwait and the GCC countries. The study started by evaluating Kuwait soil at different locations and comparing the results to the recommended soil grades for the production of CEBs. It was found that the soils obtained from Sabriya area, near Bubiyan Island, contained the desired gradation with the anticipated amount of fine particles to produce CEBs. Various mix designs with three different stabilizers were used to produce CEBs under a molding pressure of 16 MPa. The dry compressive strength test following according to the ASTM standards was done to evaluate the block’s compressive performance. The results were promising and proved that local soils can be used in the production of CEBs in Kuwait as a more sustainable construction alternative.

Nanoparticles with crystallite size in the range 8.23-27.88 nm of transition metals (TM= Cr, Cu, Co, Ni, Mn, and Fe) doped (CdO) films were deposited by the sol-gel spin coating method. The strain, the grain size, lattice parameters and dislocation density were estimated from the XRD patterns. The calculated band gap for CdO is 2.302 eV and is increased with doping.

Influence of illumination by a white light of incandescent lamp (150 W) on the optical properties of thermally evaporated iron (III) chloride tetraphenylporphyrin (FeTPPCl) thin films have been performed. The optical constants of As-deposited and illuminated FeTPPCl thin films have been determined in the wavelength range 400–2500 nm using spectrophotometric measurements at nearly normal incidence of light. The type of optical transitions for As-deposited and illuminated FeTPPCl thin films is ascertained from the spectral behavior of their absorption coefficient, α. The real part of the refractive index of As-deposited and illuminated FeTPPCl thin films in the region of optical transparency is analyzed basing on single-oscillator and Drude models. The third order nonlinear susceptibility, χ(3), of As-deposited and illuminated FeTPPCl thin films is obtained from the single-oscillator model and the Miller’s rule.
