Abstract Real‐time polymerase chain reaction (RT‐PCR) remains the most prevalent molecular detection technology for sewage analysis but is plagued with numerous disadvantages, such as time consumption, high manpower requirements, and susceptibility to false negatives. In this study, an automated robot‐driven photoelectrochemical (PEC) biosensing platform is constructed, that utilizes the CRISPR/Cas12a system to achieve fast, ultrasensitive, high specificity detection of biological loads in sewage. The Shennong‐1 robot integrates several functional modules, involving sewage sampling and pretreatment to streamline the sewage monitoring. A screen‐printed electrode is employed with a vertical graphene‐based working electrode and enhanced with surface‐deposited Au nanoparticles (NPs). CdTe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) are further fabricated through the double‐stranded DNA (dsDNA) anchored on Au NPs. Using the cDNA template of Omicron BA.5 spike gene as a model, the PEC biosensor demonstrates excellent analytical performance, with a lower detection limit of 2.93 × 102 zm and an outstanding selectivity at the level of single‐base mutation recognition. Furthermore, the rapid, accurate detection of BA.5 in sewage demonstrates the feasibility of the PEC platform for sewage monitoring. In conclusion, this platform allows early detection and tracking of infectious disease outbreaks, providing timely data support for public health institutions to take appropriate prevention and control measures.

ObjectiveBased on a survey of anxiety among college students during the epidemic, this study takes anxiety as an example to study the coping methods of college students with different personality traits. Thus predicting the behavioral tendencies of college students and proposing some appropriate suggestions for the current psychological education work of college students. Method: The study was carried out during the large-scale outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, and the investigation lasted one month. Using the Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Simplified Chinese Version (EPQ-RSC), and Trait Coping Style Scale (TCSQ), an online questionnaire survey was conducted on 932 college students to analyze the mutual effects of different grades, genders, personality traits, coping methods, and other factors.ResultsThe research found that there was a significant gender difference in negative coping methods and anxiety among college students. Grade differences: In the comparative study of personality traits, there are gender differences in introversion and concealment dimensions and grade differences in neuroticism and concealment dimensions. There is a pairwise correlation between personality traits, coping methods, and anxiety. There is a significant positive correlation between the dimensions of psychoticism, neuroticism and anxiety; There is a significant negative correlation between introversion, concealment, and anxiety. Positive coping methods are significantly negatively correlated with anxiety, while negative coping methods are significantly positively correlated with anxiety. The positive coping style is significantly negatively correlated with the dimensions of psychoticism and neuroticism and positively correlated with the dimensions of introversion, introversion, and concealment; Negative coping methods are significantly positively correlated with the dimensions of psychoticism and neuroticism and negatively correlated with the dimensions of introversion, introversion, and concealment.ConclusionThe research results indicate that the mental health issues of college students need to be taken seriously to prevent the spread of anxiety.

BackgroundThis study investigated the level of anxiety and depression in Chinese college students since the COVID-19 pandemic and explored the sources of their negative emotions and students' self-emotion regulation strategies.MethodsA stratified cluster sampling questionnaire was used to survey college students during the pandemic via the Anxiety Depression, Self-made Negative Emotion Source, and Negative Emotion Regulation Strategy Scales.ResultsThe prevalence of anxiety and depression was 23.3 and 20.1%, respectively. These levels were higher in women than in men. Furthermore, senior students reported higher levels than freshmen. Anxiety and depression mainly came from the pressure to grow and the narrowed scope of social activities. Proper relaxation via entertainment and communication with family and friends were popular ways of regulating their negative emotions.ConclusionCollege students should confront their negative emotions and understand their source, use psychological methods to regulate their anxiety and depression or seek professional help, improve their psychological resilience, and adopt positive coping measures.

I employ the Lucy rectification algorithm to recover the inclination-corrected distribution of local disk galaxies in the plane of absolute magnitude ( M _i ) and H i velocity width ( W _20 ). By considering the inclination angle as a random variable with a known probability distribution, the novel approach eliminates one major source of uncertainty in studies of the Tully–Fisher relation: inclination angle estimation from axial ratio. Leveraging the statistical strength derived from the entire sample of 28,264 H i -selected disk galaxies at z < 0.06 from the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA survey, I show that the restored distribution follows a sharp correlation that is approximately a power law between −16 > M _i > −22: ${M}_{i}={M}_{0}-2.5\beta \ [\mathrm{log}({W}_{20}/250\mathrm{km}/{\rm{s}})]$ , with M _0 = −19.77± 0.04 and β = 4.39 ± 0.06. At the brighter end ( M _i < −22), the slope of the correlation decreases to β ≈ 3.3, confirming previous results. Because the method accounts for measurement errors, the intrinsic dispersion of the correlation is directly measured: $\sigma (\mathrm{log}{W}_{20})\approx 0.06$ dex between −17 > M _i > −23, while σ ( M _i ) decreases from ∼0.8 in slow rotators to ∼0.4 in fast rotators. The statistical rectification method holds significant potential, especially in the studies of intermediate-to-high-redshift samples, where limited spatial resolution hinders precise measurements of inclination angles.

In order to improve the efficiency of teaching and learning in Colleges and Universities (CAUs), this work combines the Browser/Server (B/S) framework with Model View Presenter (MVP) technology to build a college student–oriented micro-video teaching system based on Deep Learning (DL) and Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) technology. Firstly, it makes an in-depth analysis of the problems in the classroom teaching of Chinese CAUs. Three functional modules are designed for the micro-video online teaching platform: video management, user learning, and system management. Then, it uses MVP technology to analyze the use-cases of these three functional modules in detail. Based on this, the micro-video online teaching platform is designed using the B/S framework. The teaching platform interface layer realizes the HCI between the platform and users. The business logic layer responds to the user requests submitted and returns the processing results to the interface layer. Finally, the function test and stress test of each module of the micro-video online teaching platform is carried out. The test results show that the response time of the proposed micro-video teaching platform increases with the number of users. Under the peak concurrent users, the system response time is 6 s, without abnormalities. Meanwhile, the proposed teaching platform has improved students' satisfaction with classroom teaching by nearly 15% and improved the compactness of the college classroom by nearly 12%. When the number of virtual users increases and the number of services increases linearly, the Random Access Memory and Central Processing Unit growth rate is significantly lower than that of the number of services. These outcomes indicate that many system resources are reused, and the system has good scalability, which can meet users' needs for the network video teaching system. The proposed teaching platform provides a new idea for applying DL and HCI technology in researching college students' micro-video teaching mode.

This work explored the mediating effects of affective commitment on transformational leadership and job performance and job insecurity on transformational leadership and affective commitment. Meanwhile, the inter-relationships between the four verified the mediating effect of affective commitment, including job insecurity. The results were as follows: (1) transformational leadership and job performance were positively related. (2) Transformational leadership was proportional to an emotional commitment. (3) The affective commitment had a positive impact on job performance. (4) Transformational leadership indirectly positively affected job performance through the intermediary effect of affective commitment. (5) Transformational leadership regulated affective commitment through job insecurity. The more job security employees have, the higher the impact of transformational leadership on affective commitment; the lower the contrary.

We test the merger-induced dual active galactic nuclei (dAGNs) paradigm using a sample of 35 radio galaxy pairs from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Stripe 82 field. Using Keck optical spectroscopy, we confirm 21 pairs have consistent redshifts, constituting kinematic pairs; the remaining 14 pairs are line-of-sight projections. We classify the optical spectral signatures via emission line ratios, equivalent widths, and excess of radio power above star formation predicted outputs. We find six galaxies are classified as LINERs and seven are AGN/starburst composites. Most of the LINERs are retired galaxies, while the composites likely have AGN contribution. All of the kinematic pairs exhibit radio power more than 10× above the level expected from just star formation, suggestive of a radio AGN contribution. We also analyze high-resolution (0.″3) imaging at 6 GHz from the NSF’s Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array for 17 of the kinematic pairs. We find six pairs (two new, four previously known) host two separate radio cores, confirming their status as dAGNs. The remaining 11 pairs contain single AGNs, with most exhibiting prominent jets/lobes overlapping their companion. Our final census indicates a dAGN duty cycle slightly higher than predictions of purely stochastic fueling, although a larger sample (potentially culled from VLASS) is needed to fully address the dAGN fraction. We conclude that while dAGNs in the Stripe 82 field are rare, the merger process plays some role in their triggering and it facilitates low to moderate levels of accretion.

We present a comparative study of active galactic nuclei (AGN) between galaxy pairs and isolated galaxies with the final data release of the MaNGA integral field spectroscopic survey. We build a sample of 391 kinematic galaxy pairs within the footprint of the survey and select AGN using the survey's spectra. We use the comoving volume densities of the AGN samples to quantify the effects that tidal interactions have on the triggering of nuclear accretion. Our hypothesis is that the pair sample contains AGN that are triggered by not only stochastic accretion but also tidally induced accretion and correlated accretion. With the level of stochastically triggered AGN fixed by the control sample, we model the strength of tidally induced accretion and correlated accretion as a function of projected separation ( r _p ) and compare the model expectations with the observed volume densities of dual AGN and offset AGN (single AGN in a pair). At r _p ∼ 10 kpc, we find that tidal interactions induce ∼30% more AGN than stochastic fueling and cause ∼12% of the offset AGN to become dual AGN because of correlations. The strength of both these effects decreases with increasing r _p . We also find that the [O iii ] luminosities of the AGN in galaxy pairs are consistent with those found in isolated galaxies, likely because stochastically fed AGN dominate even among close pairs. Our results illustrate that while we can detect tidally induced effects statistically, it is challenging to separate tidally induced AGN and stochastically triggered AGN in interacting galaxies.

Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) polymer foam was prepared using a mold for this investigation. The effect of the cell structure parameters and pore filling gas type on the sound absorption performance of the EVA foam materials were analyzed in terms of their sound absorption capability. The results show that the cell size, cell wall thickness and pore filling gas type have significant influence on the sound absorption performance. When the cell size is 71.3 μm, at low frequency (1000 Hz) the absorption coefficient was the largest at 0.487 and the absorption effect was good. With the increase of the cell wall thickness, the peak value of the sound absorption coefficient first increased and then decreased, and gradually transferred to the low frequency area. When the cell wall thicknesses were 14.3 μm, the foam material had optimal sound absorption properties. The cell filling gas was hydrogen, the EVA foam material had optimal sound absorption effect, and the sound absorption peak value was 0.553 at 800 Hz in the low frequency range (Ⅰ), the sound absorption performance of the foamed materials was ideal.

Counter-rotating gases demonstrate external gas acquisition in galaxies, but their presence in blue, star-forming galaxies has not been studied systematically. Here, the authors analyse the MaNGA survey data to find a fraction of counter-rotators among blue galaxies whose central regions show ongoing growth.

In the field of materials science, the fabrication of a material with severe surface plastic deformation and a good surface state is an issue encountered in the development of counterbalanced gradient materials. For this paper, AISI 4340 steel was first processed with abrasive water jet peening (AWJP) and then with ultrasonic surface rolling (USRE) to obtain a good surface state while maintaining large plastic deformation. The AISI 4340 steel composite surface was therefore modified, and the surface integrity and cycle fatigue performance were analyzed. The results show that the plastic deformation layer of the modified composite surface of the 4340 steel was 310 µm from the surface of the sample, the grain size 40 µm from the surface layer was refined to 70 nm, and the maximum surface roughness Ra is 0.06. The fatigue limit of the modified composite surfaces obtained by the tensile fatigue test was 595.7 MPa, which was 85.7 MPa higher than the 510 MPa fatigue limit of the unmodified matrix, indicating that the method of composite surface modification can produce a deep deformation layer while maintaining good surface conditions. The results show that work hardening caused by a composite surface treatment is the most important factor for improving the fatigue performance of materials.

Traditional Mongolian medicine (TMM) integrates Tibetan and Chinese medicine with indigenous Mongolian practices, focusing on the balance of three core essences: Khii, Shar, and Badgan, derived from the Five Elements – earth, water, fire, wind, and space. These essences regulate both physical and psychological processes, and their imbalance, often caused by diet, behavior, or environment, leads to disease. TMM utilizes holistic diagnostic methods such as pulse diagnosis, visual inspection, and lifestyle evaluation to identify imbalances of three essences. Treatments include herbal remedies, dietary adjustments, behavior modification, and accessory therapies like moxibustion and massage to restore balance. This mini review examines the philosophical underpinnings, diagnostic techniques, and therapeutic strategies to Khii, Shar, and Badgan, highlighting their importance in both traditional and modern integrative healthcare. The concept of Arga and Bilig serves as a foundational principle in both ancient Mongolian philosophy and traditional Mongolian medicine (TMM). Arga, symbolized by brightness and associated with qualities of fire and activity, complements Bilig, symbolized by darkness and representing attributes of water and stillness. Together, these opposing forces permeate all aspects of existence, from the genesis of parenthood to the interplay of day and night. Understanding Arga-Bilig is crucial for diagnosing and treating diseases, as it illuminates the source of imbalance within the body. This review provides an overview of the significance of Arga-Bilig in Mongolian philosophy and its application in TMM, emphasizing the dynamic interplay of these opposing forces and their role in maintaining balance and harmony within the body.
