The elastic scattering angular distribution (AD) for the 15N + 11B system at Elab(15N) = 22.5 MeV has been measured at the DC-60 cyclotron located at INP RK. In addition to our newly measured data, we have reanalyzed the previously measured 15N + 11B cross sections at Elab = 43 MeV using a range of phenomenological and microscopic potentials. The measured AD at 22.5 MeV did not exhibit a significant increase in differential cross sections (DCs) at backward angles (θ > 90°), similar to the previously measured data at Elab = 18.75 MeV and contrary to the measured data at 43 MeV. The measured DC data at backward angles are fairly described using the distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) method. The α-spectroscopic amplitude (SA) for the 15N → 11B + α configuration was extracted and compared to the available one in the literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

At 275MeV energy, the efficiency of analysing the newly measured angular distributions for 18O ions elastically scattered from 40Ca, 76Se and 116Sn targets is examined using double and cluster folding models. Two choices for the imaginary potential part, phenomenological squared Woods Saxon (WS) and (double or cluster) folded forms, were implemented in the calculations. Different 18O density distributions, including its cluster structure (14C + α), were put forward for preparing the folding potentials of the considered systems. Furthermore, we investigated the impact of other channels coupling using two distinct methods: incorporating a dynamic polarization surface potential into non-renormalized cluster folded potentials, and employing the continuum discrete coupled channels (CDCC) approach. To facilitate comparison, we also utilized the phenomenological optical model with real WS and imaginary squared WS potentials. The theoretical results demonstrated significant agreement with the experimental data, providing strong evidence for the efficacy of the methodologies under investigation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Indirect experimental angular distributions data for protons elastically scattered from 14N target nuclei at low energies: 1.8, 2.2, 3.0, 3.3, and 3.8 MeV are extracted from the available experimental excitation functions for p + 14N. These extracted data are subjected to theoretical analysis within the framework of single folding optical potential (SFOP) model in order to obtain the optimal potential that could fairly reproduce the p + 14N elastic scattering angular distributions. The obtained potential parameters are then used to calculate the astrophysical S-factor for 14N(p, γ)15O radiative capture reaction at very low energies where no experimental data is available and compared with the available experimental data. Elastic and inelastic scattering angular distributions (ADs) for the 6Li + 144Sm system in the 21–45 MeV energy range are analyzed with a Woods-Saxon phenomenological and two microscopic optical potentials, with one derived from the São Paulo formulation and the other from cluster folding of realistic alpha and deuteron potentials. Energy-dependent real, JV, and imaginary, JW, potential volume integrals are extracted from each potential system. It is shown that their variation in the region of the Coulomb barrier displays the normal threshold anomaly of strong coupling between the real and imaginary potentials. The reduced energy dependence on the extracted reduced reaction cross sections for the 6Li + 144Sm system is presented and compared to the calculated one using Wong’s formula. The strength and energy dependence of the inelastic ADs are reasonably described using the adopted potentials within the framework of the coupled channels method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Inspired by the prevalent n + p cluster structure of deuterons, which appears at an excitation energy of 2.225 MeV, the recently measured angular distributions (ADs) for 1 5 N(d , d) 1 5 N and 1 5 N(d , p) 1 6 N systems at an energy of 15 MeV X. Y. Li et al., [Phys. Rev. C 106, (2022) 025807] are microscopically analyzed using the continuum discretized coupled channel (CDCC) method. The extracted U eff potential, considered as the coherent sum of cluster folding and dynamical polarization potentials, both derived from the CDCC computations, was then employed to investigate the 1 5 N(d , p) 1 6 N neutron transfer reaction leading to the (2−, 0.0 MeV), (0−, 0.12 MeV), (3−, 0.298 MeV), and (1−, 0.397 MeV) 1 6 N states. Since extracting reliable information on spectroscopic factors (SFs) is highly dependent on the interaction potential, the extracted U eff was employed to get such information. The investigation gives evidence for the applicability of the U eff in describing the elastic scattering and the neutron transfer ADs data. The experimentally available angular distributions (ADs) for 6 , 7 Li and 2 0 Ne ions elastically scattered from a 2 4 Mg target are reanalyzed using various nuclear potentials based on phenomenological as well as microscopic approaches. The considered data are 6 Li + 2 4 Mg ADs at E lab = 2 0 , 88 and 240 MeV; 7 Li + 2 4 Mg ADs at E lab = 2 0 , 34 and 88 MeV; and 2 0 Ne + 2 4 Mg ADs at E lab = 5 0 , 60, 80, 90 and 100 MeV. Special emphasis is given on the (d + α) and (t + α) cluster structures of the 6Li and 7Li weakly bound projectiles, which appear at relatively low energies of ∼ 1. 4 7 3 7 and 2.468 MeV, respectively. Furthermore, the 2 0 Ne stable nucleus is a candidate to reveal the α + 1 6 O cluster structure at an energy of 4.73 MeV. These systems are analyzed within the framework of the cluster folding model by taking into consideration the aforementioned cluster nature of the 6Li, 7Li and 2 0 Ne projectiles. Experimental 7 Li + 27 Al elastic scattering angular distributions in the 6–89 MeV laboratory energy range have been re-analysed using different phenomenological and microscopic potentials to investigate the cluster nature of the weakly-bound 7 Li projectile and the associated break-up effect on the elastic scattering data. The consistency of the results obtained within the various implemented potentials was also analysed. A new microscopic dynamical polarisation potential was applied to simulate the significant coupling effect to the break-up channel, which is responsible for the observed reduction in the strength of the implemented real potentials. A reasonable agreement between the considered experimental results and the present theoretical calculations was obtained. The study confirms the absence of the usual threshold anomaly present in nuclear systems involving tightly-bound projectiles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

New experimental measurements for 16O + 12C elastic scattering angular distribution at Elab = 27 MeV were performed at the cyclotron DC-60 INP RK. The measured data as well as the previous measurements for 16O + 12C angular distributions in the energy range Elab = 20–140 MeV are subjected to detailed analysis using the double folding optical potential. For this purpose, different models of interaction potentials are used, such as the BDM3Y1-Reid and the CDM3Y1-Paris based on the M3Y interactions. The new B3Y-Fetal potentials are also tested, and the efficiency of the DDB3Y1-Fetal interaction to increase the saturation properties of cold nuclear matter was studied in comparison with the well-known BDM3Y1-Reid and CDM3Y1-Paris interactions. In this study, the available 6Li + 58Ni angular distributions in the energy range 9.9–600 MeV are reanalyzed theoretically within the framework of various interaction potentials based on both phenomenological and microscopic approaches. The well-known cluster structure of 6Li as a core of α-particle and a deuteron revolving around this core was observed and considered for generating the 6Li + 58Ni cluster folding potential. At all energies, the analyses performed within the framework of the considered potentials gave reasonable fits of data. The performed cluster folding analysis showed the necessity to reduce the potential’s strength by ~ 50–53% for describing the data fairly. The observed reduction in the strength of microscopic potential is mainly due to the dissociation of 6Li in the field of the target nucleus and consequently the high 6Li clusterization probability. We have investigated the threshold anomaly observed in 7Li + 2 0 8 Pb nuclear system by analyzing the available 7Li+ 2 0 8 Pb experimental angular distribution measurements. The experimental data for the weakly bound 7Li ions elastically scattered from 2 0 8 Pb target at 13 energy sets ranging from 25.67 and up to 68 MeV are subjected to detailed analysis using different interaction potentials created either based on phenomenological, semimicroscopic and microscopic models. The loosely bound nucleus 7Li, possessing a predominant α + t cluster structure at 2.468 MeV, is a good candidate as its break-up reaction studies would help to understand the break-up of the weakly bound unstable radioactive isotopes. The experimental angular distributions for 6Li elastically scattered from a 90Zr target in the energy range 14.89–240 MeV are theoretically reanalyzed using phenomenological and semi-microscopic potentials. The phenomenon of the break-up threshold anomaly (BTA) is well represented in the various used potentials. In analyzing nuclear systems induced by weakly bound projectiles such as 6Li, the well-known reduction in the strength of the real part of potential generated based on double folding (DF) and cluster folding (CF) models is also observed. The Sao Paulo potential (SPP) is used to perform double folding calculations. In order to fit the data fairly, a reduction of ∼ 42% and 45% in the strength of the microscopic real part of potential constructed using SPP and CFM, respectively, is found to be required. By including an additional dynamical polarization potential, the data are also reproduced without renormalizing the real cluster folding potential. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The 7Li + 28Si angular distributions for elastic scattering in the laboratory energy range of 8.5–36 MeV are reanalyzed using different approaches based on both phenomenological and microscopic potentials. Special attention is paid to the α + t cluster structure for 7Li, which appears at a threshold energy of 2.468 MeV. The performed analysis using the different implemented potentials showed that the breakup of 7Li in the field of 28Si plays a strong effect in forming the cross sections. Such an effect results in a significant reduction in the renormalization factors of the utilized potentials. The angular distributions of 13 C elastically scattered by 9 Be nuclei were measured at E Lab ( 13 C) = 16.25 and 19.5 MeV. The measured angular distributions were analyzed via the optical model and the DWBA within the coupled reaction channels methods. In addition to this, the previously obtained data were reanalyzed at energies E Lab = 22.75, 28.12, 36.15, 57.77 and 72.88 MeV. The aim of the study was to elucidate the role of the α -cluster transfer mechanism in the large-angle scattering. As a result of these calculations, the optimal parameters of the potentials and their energy dependence were obtained for 13 C+ 9 Be nuclear system. The data at the backward angles are fairly well reproduced. The spectroscopic amplitudes were extracted for the 13 C → 9 Be + α configuration at various energies. The experimental angular distributions for α -particles elastically scattered from 1 2 C nucleus in the energy range 48.7–386 MeV and for 6He+ 1 2 C nuclear system in the energy range 5.9–493.8 MeV have been reanalyzed. Data analysis is performed within the framework of both optical model (OM) and double folding optical model (DFOM). In this model, the real part of the potential is generated using the double folding procedures based on the effective M3Y interaction between projectile nucleons and target nucleons in addition to an imaginary part of Woods–Saxon (WS) form. Two criteria are used in order to observe the nature of 4He and 6He elastically scattered from 1 2 C and the effect of the two neutron halo structure of 6He. First, the extracted potential parameters are utilized for calculating the reflexion coefficients η L which is strongly related to angular momentum L. We measured differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of deuterons on a 13C target using the U-150M cyclotron at INP, Republic of Kazakhstan. The beam energy of deuterons was 14.5 MeV. As a result, we obtained new experimental data for the d+13C elastic scattering. Using the phenomenological optical potential and two different semi-microscopic potentials, namely double folding and cluster folding (CF), the available experimental data for 6Li elastically scattered from 1 2 C nucleus at energies 50–600 MeV are reanalyzed. On the basis of the well-known cluster structure of 6Li as a composite nucleus consisting of a core "alpha" with a valence particle "deuteron" orbiting this core, special attention was paid to the CF potential. Elastic scattering data for 6Li+ 1 2 C system plotted as a function of momentum transfer showed that the real Coulomb nuclear interference region is independent of the bombarding energy. The aforementioned structural behavior for the data could be used to define the potential with some certainty. In addition to a Woods–Saxon imaginary potential of fixed radius, the real part of the potential derived from the cluster structure of 6Li was successful in reproducing the experimental data in the whole angular range. In this study, the angular distribution of the 16O+10B elastic scattering was measured at Elab(16O) = 24 MeV. In addition to our experimental data, this nuclear system was theoretically analyzed at different energies to study the dynamics of scattering for this system. The data were analyzed within the framework of the double-folding optical potential model. The values of the spectroscopic amplitudes (SA) for the configuration 16O↑10 B+6Li were extracted at the energies at which the effect of the 6Li cluster transfer on the cross sections at backward angles is observed.
