Nickel based superalloy material is used for the design of dampers in steam and gas turbine. Parametric study of rubbing velocity, contact pressure and contact temperature influence on Nickel based superalloy material coefficient of friction and wear analysis. Friction is not desirable in machines, but it is desirable in design parameter for brakes and clutches. In the present paper, an experimental investigation is carried to find out the coefficient of friction and wear rate of Nickel based superalloy material. Experiments are carried by using a pin on disk apparatus on different diameter pins and disks of the same material. The experiments are carried on normal load ranging from 10 to 200N, speed varies from 200 to 2000 rpm and, wear track diameter ranging from 5 to 160 mm. Thus, the coefficient of friction and wear rate were studied with varying normal load at a constant rubbing velocity for different diameter pins. Thereafter the coefficient of friction and wear rate studied at a constant normal load with varying rubbing velocities for different diameter pins. By varying normal load at constant rubbing velocity it is observed that coefficient of friction decreases and wear rate increases for all diameter pins

This paper describes the photovoltaic system connected to the electrical grid. The document begins with a description of this system, a definition and a brief overview of each component used in this system were provided and they are taken separately. The system is simulated with precise climatic conditions and four modes of operation. The results of the simulation illustrate how the change of a solar radiation can affect the output power of the PV system, it’s also show the conversions of the power of the photovoltaic system with the electric grid.

This work provides a description of a hybrid system connected to the grid, including a PV system and Wind turbine system that share a DC bus and without battery. The paper begins with a description of the system; it has been provided a brief overview of each user component of this system. It was also presented how to control this system. The system has been simulated with accurate climatic conditions and according to an operating system; it is assumed that the two systems work together at the same time, with a focus on clarifying the work of each system according to these climatic conditions. The simulation results show how changing climate conditions can affect the energy produced by the hybrid system, and it also shows power exchanges with the grid.

The main objective of this work is to study the thermal exchanges in order to optimizethe solar contributions in a habitable enclosure located in a desert region of Algeria(ADRAR). The enclosure walls are the only capacitive elements of the enclosure. Theyare thermally coupled by conduction, convection and radiation. The external facades ofthe enclosure are the seat of a convective flux with the external air and radiativeexchanges with the environment (ground and sky). The thermal exchanges are studiedusing the balance equations established at each wall of the enclosure. These equationsare discretized by an implicit finite difference method. The system of algebraicequations thus obtained is solved by the Gauss algorithm using the nodal method. Theeffects of the outdoor ambient temperature, the density of the incident solar flux and theorientation of the habitable enclosure on the temperatures distributions throughout of theinternal walls and the filled air in the enclosure are analyzed. The evolution of theinternal ambient temperature as a function of the wind exposure factor and the degree ofleak tightness of the doors and windows is also highlighted at the end of this work. &nbsp

In this study, a hybrid system has been modulate and simulated, this system is composed with three generators, two on renewable energy (solar and wind power) and one on combustible energy (diesel generator). This central distributes energy to a small village in southwest of Algeria named “Timiaouine”, this central has been sized using mathematic parameter and repartition of consumption for 24 hours in both seasons; winter and summer. The simulation has been done using Matlab/Simulink. Results show that hybrid central produces energy from renewable resources more than fossil resource (diesel) and the whole consumption of the village has been covered.
