In order to make the buffer play the best damping effect at the end of opening of circuit breaker and spring operating mechanism, so as to ensure the curve of opening end of the circuit breaker be smooth and without a rebound, and to ensure the breaking performance of the circuit breaker, it is necessary to perform jointly modeling and simulating calculations for the buffer and circuit breakers. Based on the throttle principle and multi-body system dynamics calculating method, this paper establishes the calculating model for hydraulic buffer in spring operating mechanism, compiles and calculates dynamic link library of damping force by C language and interacts with ADMAS simulation, finishes the simulation of hydraulic buffer in spring operating mechanism. The simulation results are compared with the actual test results, and the correctness of the calculation and simulation methods is verified. A technical route combining simulation calculation and experiment is practiced, which establishes a foundation for actual engineering application, the design of hydraulic damping device and research on breaking technology of circuit breaker.

Community structure is one of the hidden characteristics of complex network topology. Detecting the community structure is crucial to understand and utilize the network structure. Existing methods are mostly detecting the community on a one-dimensional network, which is based on only one kind of relationship between the nodes. In this paper, as the prerequisite that there are various ways of people connection in real world, we modeling the multiple relationships of group members in the complex network as a multi-dimensional network. Then we used the traditional community detection to infer the community structure from each dimension of our model. Finally, we define the sibling matrix to map the inferred different community structures from the multi-dimensional network into a comprehensive association, so we can find the hidden community of the complex network. Experimental results show that compared with existing algorithms, the proposed algorithm has higher performance.

In order to reduce the global warming potential resulting from SF6 widely used as an insulating and arc quenching medium, the substitutes need to be found. This paper focuses on different cold C3F8 mixtures (at room temperature) as an insulating gas and hot C3F8 gas (at temperatures of 300–3500 K) as an arc quenching medium, which seem to be a good replacement of SF6. Firstly, the dielectric properties, including the reduced ionization coefficient α / N, reduced electron attachment coefficient η / N and reduced critical electric field strength (E / N)cr, of the cold C3F8-CF4, C3F8-CO2, C3F8-N2, C3F8-O2 and C3F8-Ar mixtures are calculated numerically using the two-term approximation of the Boltzmann equation. The dependence of such dielectric properties on the buffer gas proportion is investigated. Among the various C3F8 mixtures, the C3F8-N2 mixture has the lowest α / N and the C3F8-CF4 mixture has the largest η / N, and moreover, the C3F8-N2 mixture is the best insulator in terms of breakdown strength because it has the largest (E / N)cr. Secondly, the (E / N)cr of hot C3F8 at temperatures up to 3500 K and various pressures is determined and compared with that of hot SF6 gas. It is found that the hot C3F8 gas has much poorer dielectric performance than hot SF6 because the (E / N)cr of C3F8 decreases significantly above room temperature.

C5F10O has recently been found to be a very promising alternative to SF6. This paper is devoted to the investigation of compositions, thermodynamic properties, and transport coefficients of high-temperature C5F10O mixed with CO2 and O2. Firstly, the partition functions and enthalpies of formation for a few molecules (CxFy and CxFyO) which are likely to exist in the mixtures, are calculated based on the G4(MP2) theory. The isomers of the above molecules are selected according to their Gibbs energy. The compositions of C5F10O-CO2-O2 mixtures are then determined using the minimization of the Gibbs free energy. Next, the thermodynamic properties (mass density, specific enthalpy, and specific heat) are derived from the previously calculated compositions. Lastly, the transport coefficients (electrical conductivity, viscosity, and thermal conductivity) are calculated based on Chapman-Enskog method. It is found that, as an arc quenching gas, C5F10O could not recombine into itself with the temperature decreasing down to room temperature after the arc extinction. Besides, the key species at room temperature are always CF4, CO2, and C4F6 if graphite is not considered. When taken into account, graphite will replace C4F6 as one of the dominate particles. The mixing of CO2 with C5F10O plasma significantly affects the thermodynamic properties (e.g. vanishing and/or shifting of the peaks in specific heat) and transport coefficients (e.g. reducing viscosity and changing the number of peaks in thermal conductivity), while the addition of O2 with C5F10O-CO2 mixtures has no remarkable influence on both thermodynamic and transport properties.

Due to the high global warming potential (GWP) and increasing environmental concerns, efforts on searching the alternative gases to SF6, which is predominantly used as insulating and interrupting medium in high-voltage equipment, have become a hot topic in recent decades. Overcoming the drawbacks of the existing candidate gases, C5- perfluorinated ketone (C5 PFK) was reported as a promising gas with remarkable insulation capacity and the low GWP of approximately 1. Experimental measurements of the dielectric strength of this novel gas and its mixtures have been carried out, but the chemical decomposition pathways and products of C5 PFK during breakdown are still unknown, which are the essential factors in evaluating the electric strength of this gas in high-voltage equipment. Therefore, this paper is devoted to exploring all the possible decomposition pathways and species of C5 PFK by density functional theory (DFT). The structural optimizations, vibrational frequency calculations and energy calculations of the species involved in a considered pathway were carried out with DFT-(U)B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) method. Detailed potential energy surface was then investigated thoroughly by the same method. Lastly, six decomposition pathways of C5 PFK decomposition involving fission reactions and the reactions with a transition states were obtained. Important intermediate products were also determined. Among all the pathways studied, the favorable decomposition reactions of C5 PFK were found, involving C-C bond ruptures producing Ia and Ib in pathway I, followed by subsequent C-C bond ruptures and internal F atom transfers in the decomposition of Ia and Ib presented in pathways II + III and IV + V, respectively. Possible routes were pointed out in pathway III and lead to the decomposition of IIa, which is the main intermediate product found in pathway II of Ia decomposition. We also investigated the decomposition of Ib, which can undergo unimolecular reactions to give the formation of IV a, IV b and products of CF3 + CF-CF3 in pathway IV. Although IV a is dominant to a lesser extent due to its relative high energy barrier, its complicated decomposition pathway V was also studied and CF3, C = CF2 as well as C-CF3 species were found as the ultimate products. To complete the decomposition of C5 PFK, pathway V I of Ic decomposition was fully explored and the final products were obtained. Therefore, the integrate decomposition scheme of C5 PFK was proposed, which contains six pathways and forty-eight species (including all the reactants, products and transition states). This work is hopeful to lay a theoretical basis for the insulating properties of C5 PFK.

A life-stress model for cylinders was built based on wear fault mechanism, and the test scheme was optimized using temperature, pressure and velocity as acceleration stresses. An accelerated life test for cylinders was designed and implemented. Life eigenvalues at different stress levels were acquired and analyzed. Undetermined parameters of acceleration model were estimated, and life indices under normal stress condition were extrapolated and compared with those from normal stress test. The feasibility of the optimization scheme and the correctness of the acceleration model were verified. Compared with twin-stress accelerated life test for cylinders, the test period was further shortened

A new design of DC hybrid circuit breaker based on high-speed switch (HSS) and arc generator (AG), which can drastically profit from low heat loss in normal state and fast current breaking under fault state, is presented and analyzed in this paper. AG is designed according to the magnetic pinch effect of liquid metal. By utilizing the arc voltage generated across AG, the fault current is rapidly commutated from HSS into parallel connected branch. As a consequence, the arcless open of HSS is achieved. The post-arc conducting resume time (Δ tc) of AG and the commutation original voltage (Uc), two key factors in the commutation process, are investigated experimentally. Particularly, influences of the liquid metal channel diameter (Φ) of AG, fault current rate of rise (di/dt) and Uc on Δ tc are focused on. Furthermore, a suitable Uc is determined during the current commutation process, aiming at the reliable arcless open of HSS and short breaking time. Finally, the fault current breaking test is carried out for the current peak value of 11.8 kA, and the validity of the design is confirmed by the experimental results.
