Background Promoting appropriate health technology to rural and urban communities is an important measure to improve the technical level and service capacity of primary care institutions. The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University carried out the promotion of appropriate health technology in southern Xinjiang. Objective To evaluate the effect of appropriate technology promotion for stroke rehabilitation in southern Xinjiang, understand the needs of rehabilitation workers in southern Xinjiang for appropriate technology promotion for stroke rehabilitation and the goals they hope to achieve by participating in appropriate technology promotion for stroke rehabilitation projects, providing a basis for health administrative departments to implement appropriate rehabilitation technology promotion work. Methods The rehabilitation workers from the rehabilitation medicine departments of 8 people's hospitals, affiliated township health centers and communities health centers, federation of the disabled, civil affairs system and other rehabilitation institutions in 8 deep poverty-stricken counties which were considered as sample source sites by using a multi-stage sampling method in July 2018. The appropriate technology promotion for stroke rehabilitation was performed followed by a investigation by using self-designed questionnaire. The monthly outpatient volume, hospitalization volume and treatment income of the rehabilitation medicine department of people's hospitals before (January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2018) and after participation (July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020) in technology promotion for stroke rehabilitation projects were compared. Results The appropriate technology promotion for stroke rehabilitation in acute, subacute and convalescent stages, as well as community and family rehabilitation of stroke was performed from January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2018, involving motor function rehabilitation training, functional electrical stimulation, mandatory exercise therapy techniques, constraint induced movement therapy (CIMT) , mirror therapy, management and rehabilitation training of dysphagia, daily living activities training and rehabilitation care of stroke patient. A total of 384 valid questionnaires were collected. Among the 384 rehabilitation workers, 63.3% (243/384) identified the appropriate technology promotion within districts (counties) as very meaningful; 46.1% (177/384) thought the project was very applicable in their local area; 37.5% (144/384) believed that the technology for stroke rehabilitation can be carried out in their medical institutions with a slight improvement of the relevant conditions; 46.9% (180/384) believed that the difficulty level of the appropriate technology promotion project was easy in terms of operation skills; after the training, 42.2% (162/384) claimed to be knowledgeable about the technology and need to learn and receive further training. Petroleum and gas are important strategic resources, among which natural gas as a clean energy resource has always been and still will be the most important energy resource in the foreseeable future, even after cutting global carbon emissions and China peaking carbon emissions. Diversification of energy import channels has been one of the effective measures to alleviate the energy shortage in China. The Arctic region is rich in oil and gas resources and is dominated by natural gas. The vast majority of oil and gas resources found in the Arctic are in Russia, but now more than 80 percent of the Russian natural gas production is already in their oil and gas fields in north Arctic Circle. In 2012, China and Russia officially launched a joint project to develop liquefied natural gas, marking significant progress in China's participation in the development and utilzation of Arctic oil and gas resources, and in fact started the cooperative process to integrate the China-led "Construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt"and the later Russia-led "Construction of Eurasian Economic Union".The total amount of oil and gas resources discovered in the Arctic region is 328.94 billion barrels of oil equivalent, of which oil equivalent amounts to 60.54 billion barrels (8.41 billion tons), only accounting for 2.5% of the world's discovered oil resources; Natural gas amounts to 41.4 trillion cubic meters (268.3 billion barrels, 37.26 billion tons of oil equivalent), and accounts for 15.5 percent of the world's discovered natural gas resources. The vast majority of oil and gas resources discovered in the Arctic region are in Russia, which has a total of 290.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent (40.35 billion tons), accounting for 88.3%, of which natural gas amounts to about 39.47 trillion cubic meters, about 255.79 billion barrels (35.53 billion tons) of oil equivalent, constituting more than 95% of the total discovered natural gas resources in the Arctic. The Arctic also has considerable undiscovered oil and gas resources, accounting for about 15% of the world's total undiscovered amount; The undiscovered natural gas, which mainly distributes in Russia, accounts for 30% of the world's total undiscovered amount. In the context of global warming and crackdown by the US-led Western world, Russia is bound to increase extraction and development of Arctic oil and gas, especially natural gas, and transport them through the Arctic Shipping Lanes to China and other consumer countries, in order to secure its natural gas export revenue and fiscal revenue. This paper takes as the basis the summary of the distribution characteristics of oil and gas resources in the Arctic, oil and gas resources and the Arctic strategy of Russia, and the traffic capacity of the Northern Sea Route (NSR), and reviews the launch and development of the liquefied natural gas joint project as well as the international power politics environment. Moreover, this paper briefly introduces the process of China's successful intervention in the Arctic oil and gas resources project, and puts forward the strategic measures for China to utilize Arctic oil and gas resources.

Cationic polysaccharides have shown excellent ability of nucleic acids delivery. However, cationic curdlan derivatives with high degree of amination cause damage to the cell membrane and induce considerable cytotoxicity, limiting their in vivo application. Herein, we synthesized PEGylated 6-amino-6-deoxy-curdlan derivatives containing cleavable disulfide bonds. The resulting polymers (denote 6AC-2S PEGx) not only showed high affinity to siRNA but also exhibited significantly decreased cytotoxicity and hemolysis effect, while showing remarkable in vitro transfection efficiency. In vivo study demonstrated that 6AC-2S PEG40, which had a lower LD50 value than that of 6AC-100, did not cause liver damage, as the i.v. injection of 6AC-2S PEG40 to mouse did not increase serum level of ALT/AST. Furthermore, tissue distribution results showed that 6AC-2S PEG40 successfully delivered siRNA to liver, lung and spleen. Collectively, our data confirmed that PEGylation can increase the biocompatibility of cationic curdlan derivatives, which is a promising carrier for nucleic acid therapeutics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Mesozoic to Cenozoic mountain uplift, exhumation, and deformation of the SW Tianshan Mountains (Kyrgyzstan and Northwest China) offer an important window to understand the intra-continental rejuvenation mechanism of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB), as response to the far-field effects of the India-Asia collision. This article presents new observation and data for the planation surface and sedimentation and deformation features of the regional intermountain basins to rebuild the orogenic history in Mesozoic to Cenozoic. Three planation surfaces were recognized by field observation, showing that the mountain may have experienced lengthy erosion since the end Cretaceous, and a continuous planation surface may have formed at the Eocene to Oligocene. The filling sequences and deformation character revealed that the orogenic disintegrate and intermountain basin formation likely began in the end of Oligocene. Subsequently, the uniform planation surface in Western Tianshan may have begun to disintegrate, leading to the basin-and-range landform formation. Folds and nappes in the Cenozoic basins, large-scale thrusting of Palaeozoic rocks over Cenozoic sediments at the basin margin associated with the rapid mountain uplift may have occurred at the end of Early Pleistocene, suggesting a tectonic inversion. The Mesozoic-Cenozoic Tianshan uplift and deformation were likely induced by the collision/accretion along the southern margin of Eurasia. Both the northward propagation of the Parmir syntaxis to the SW Tianshan and the oblique dextral faulting of the Talas-Fergana fault have likely played an important role on the formation and deformation of the Cenozoic basins in the SW Tianshan. The Atebayue Sb deposit is hosted in the Silurian clastics in the South Tianshan Orogen in Kyrgyzstan. The Sb ores appear as veins/veinlets and disseminations, with stibnite being the main ore mineral. Gangue minerals comprise quartz, calcite, and clay minerals. The quartz at Atebayue only contains aqueous fluid inclusions with low homogenization temperature (215–336 °C) and salinity (3.4–6.9 wt.% NaCl equiv.), supporting an epizonogenic hydrothermal origin. The minimum trapping pressures estimated from the NaCl─H2O inclusions are 9–14 MPa, suggesting that the Sb mineralization mainly occurred at a depth of 0.9–1.4 km. Sulphur isotopes (δ34S = −0.4 to 6.2‰) suggest that the host rocks within the Silurian system to be a significant source of ore metals. The ores contain average 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, and 208Pb/204Pb values of 18.112, 15.547, and 38.064, respectively, and 2‐stage model ages of 337–381 Ma, indicating the ores were likely sourced from the Paleozoic strata. Integrating the data obtained from the studies including ore geology, fluid inclusion, and S─Pb isotope geochemistry, we conclude that that the Atebayue Sb deposit is best classified as epizonogenic type formed by the Tarim–Kazakhstan continent–continent collision. New first, second, and third generation sphere-type polylysine glycodendrimers with cellobiose units at the terminal (first, second, and third generation cellobiose-C6 spacer-polylysine dendrimers) were synthesized from 1,4- diaminobutane as a starting compound. Repeated condensations by N, N- bis(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-L-lysine (di-boclysine) and deprotections of the boc groups gave the first, second, and third generation sphere-type polylysine dendrimers with 4, 8, and 16 amino groups at the terminal in 75%, 82%, and 83% yields, respectively. To increase the flexibility of attached oligosaccharides at the terminal,a methylene spacer with six methylene carbons (C6 methylene spacer) was introduced between the polylysine dendrimers and cellobiose; that is, ethyl 1-hydroxylhexanoate was reacted with peracetylated α-D-cellobiosyl bromide to afford 2, 2' , 3, 3', 4 ,6, 6'-hepta-O-acetyl-1 -0 -(6- ethoxycarbonylpentoxy)-β-D-cellobioside. After hydrolysis of the acetyl and ethyl ester groups to recover hydroxyl groups and carboxylic acid, the obtained cellobiose unit with a carboxylic acid at the end of the C6 methylene spacer was condensed with the terminal amino groups of the polylysine dendrimers to give first, second, and third generation sphere-type cellobiose-C6 spacer-polylysine dendrimers in 48%, 53%, and 55% yields, respectively. The cellobiose unit was connected by the peptide bond to the polylysine dendrimers through the C6 methylene spacer without decomposition of the cellulobiose structure. MALDI TOF MS measurements gave signals that decreased at regular intervals because the molecular weight of the cellobiose unit was around 444 Da and it was found that the average substitution of the cellobiose unit gave nearly 4 among 4, 6.8 among 8, and 11 units among 16 terminal amino groups in the first, second, and third generation polylysine dendrimers, respectively, on high resolution !H NMR and MALDI TOF MS spectra.
