- Abstract
The Transforming Energy Supply System (Modelling) Framework, or Tessif for short, is a framework developed with Python at the Institute of Energy Technology of the Technical University of Hamburg that enables the comparison of different software tools for modeling and optimizing energy systems. For the comparison, Tessif transforms a previously created energy system model into the model of the software tools integrated in Tessif, which then optimizes the energy system. The results of the optimizations are finally unified by Tessif and thus become comparable. Currently, the programs Oemof, PyPSA, FINE and Calliope are integrated in Tessif and can be used within the framework of Tessif for the modeling and optimization of energy systems. In the context of this work, Urbs, another program for modeling and optimization, is integrated into Tessif. The integration consists to a large extent of the transformation of the energy system model from Tessif into Urbs model formulation (es2es) as well as the conversion of the optimization results into Tessifs uniform representation mode (es2mapping). Herein, the various modeling approaches and their differences as well as the implementation of the transformation are discussed in detail. The correct integration of Urbs is ensured by comparing various example energy system models. In addition, the differences between the various software tools are elaborated. Finally, the results of the comparison are used to classify Urbs in the context of Tessif and to identify the advantages and disadvantages of using Urbs.

- Abstract
In the context of the energy transition, the use of renewable energies in the energy supply is becoming more and more relevant to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Due to this restructuring of the energy supply, modeling tools for energy systems gain more and more importance. In order to compare different existing modeling software, a reference energy system is developed in this thesis and used for the comparison of the tools Oemof and PyPSA. The focus of this reference model is especially on grid components and the structure of the energy grid.

Abstract--The hypotheses have been tested that 1) symmetry of weightbearing in persons who have sustained a stroke could be improved by the addition of a lift to the shoe on the nonparetic lower limb and 2) compelled weightbearing resulting from the addition of a lift in conjunction with targeted exercise helps to overcome the learned disuse of the paretic limb. Weightbearing on the paretic side was measured in eight persons with hemiparesis during quiet standing and in conditions of compelled weight shift. Compelled weight shifts were applied with special lifts to the shoe on the non-paretic limb of the subjects. An increase in symmetrical weightbearing was recorded in conditions of compelled weight shifts: 10-mm lift provided the best symmetry of bipedal standing. We suggest that improved symmetry of bipedal standing obtained with the lift of the nonparetic limb would help in overcoming the learned disuse of the affected limb. Pre- and post-test results of a person with hemiparesis who was wearing a shoe lift on the non-paretic limb during a 6-week physical therapy program showed statistically significant improvement of walking speed, stride length, and weightbearing. Such findings support the idea of using compelled weightbearing via lifting and targeted exercise during treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents a recap of activities that were held for a yearly Mifflin County Ridge Encampment in Reedsvile, Pennsylvania from September to October 2009. This annual event, which started in 2007, is being organized by Adirondack Soaring Club from Saratoga Springs in New York. Highlights of flying activities including those participated by pilots Tony Wiederkehr and Ed Winchester are discussed. Sceneries around Reedsville which feature a number of landable farm fields are recognized.

The article talks about the third annual Mifflin Country Ridge Encampment held in Reedsville, Pennsylvania from September 30 to October 5, 2009. The first day proved to be good for flying and twenty gliders flew back and forth down the ridge. The second day was good for ridge flying as well and the day ended with a barbecue under a pavilion. The next three days were less cooperative but the author states that everyone had a good time and discussions for the 2010 encampment have already begun.

- Abstract
Immunologic profiling of colorectal cancer (CRC) may help to predict the tumors metastatic potential and patients with an aggressive tumor, although not yet metastasized at time of surgery might benefit from adjuvant therapy. In this study we evaluated the prognostic significance of FOXP3(+) T regulatory cells (Tregs), CD3(+) and CD8(+) lymphocyte densities and conventional histopathologic features in nodal negative (n = 820, UICC stage II) CRC. Immunohistochemical studies showed that high expression of FOXP3(+) Tregs is significantly linked to a better clinical outcome (P = 0.0001). In multivariate analysis including tumor stage, tumor grade, type of tumor invasion margin (pushing vs. infiltrating type), lymphovascular invasion (absent vs. present), CD3(+), CD8(+) and FOXP3(+) Tregs expression, only low tumor stage, absence of lymphovascular invasion and high Foxp3 Tregs density showed prognostic significance (P = 0.0132, P = 0.0022 AND P = 0.0234, respectively). Our findings argue towards a clinical utility of FOXP3(+) Tregs immunostaining as an independent good prognostic biomarker in stage II colorectal cancers. FOXP3(+) Tregs immunoscoring, assessment of tumor stage and lymphovascular invasion may help to define stage II cancers with a potentially aggressive behavior and CRC patients who might benefit from adjuvant therapy. A two-scale immunosore related to the median count of FOXP3(+) Tregs proved to be easy and quick to perform.
