Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have experienced exceptional development in recent years, due to their outstanding photoelectronic properties and low‐cost solution processing. Many state‐of‐the‐art PSC designs have been effectively demonstrated using a stacked 3D perovskite/2D perovskite heterostructure, yet limitations arise due to the low conductivity of the 2D perovskite, the hidden buried interface of 3D perovskite, and halide ion migration within 3D/2D PSC device under operational bias. Here, these limitations are overcome by developing a novel and universal post‐synthetic metal (Zn2+) doping strategy and realizing 3D/2D PSCs with superior efficiency and stability. Informed by ab initio calculations and synchrotron fine structure experiments, it is revealed that the introduced zinc ions are energetically favored at interstitial crystal sites, subsequently hindering the migration of halide ions and producing a beneficial shift toward a more n‐type character in the buried 3D perovskite interface. Combined with extensive photophysical characterization, the Zn2+‐modified 3D/2D perovskite thin film is shown to strongly recover its photo‐carrier conductivity compared with the 3D/2D perovskite film, boosting the efficiency (22.90%) of PSCs while exhibiting improved humidity and operational stability. Lead (Pb) halide perovskites have witnessed highly promising achievements for high-efficiency solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and photo/radiation detectors due to their exceptional optoelectronic properties. However, compound stability and Pb toxicity are still two main obstacles towards the commercialization of halide perovskite-based devices. Therefore, it is of substantial interest to search for non-toxic candidates with comparable photophysical characteristics. Metal-halide double perovskites (MHDPs), A2BBʹX6, are recently booming as promising alternatives for Pb-based halide-perovskites for their non-toxicity and significantly enhanced chemical and thermodynamic stability. Moreover, this family exhibits rich combinatorial chemistry with tuneable optoelectronic properties and thus a great potential for a broad range of optoelectronic/electronic applications. Herein, we present a comprehensive review of the MHDPs synthesized so far, and classified by their optical and electronic properties. We systematically generalize their electronic structure by both theoretical and experimental efforts to prospect the relevant optoelectronic properties required by different applications. The progress of the materials in various applications is explicated in view of the material structure-function relationship. Finally, a perspective outlook to improve the physical and optoelectronic properties of the materials is proposed aiming at fostering their future development and applications.

High-resolution imagery and deep learning models have gained increasing importance in land-use mapping. In recent years, several new deep learning network modeling methods have surfaced. However, there has been a lack of a clear understanding of the performance of these models. In this study, we applied four well-established and robust deep learning models (FCN-8s, SegNet, U-Net, and Swin-UNet) to an open benchmark high-resolution remote sensing dataset to compare their performance in land-use mapping. The results indicate that FCN-8s, SegNet, U-Net, and Swin-UNet achieved overall accuracies of 80.73%, 89.86%, 91.90%, and 96.01%, respectively, on the test set. Furthermore, we assessed the generalization ability of these models using two measures: intersection of union and F1 score, which highlight Swin-UNet's superior robustness compared to the other three models. In summary, our study provides a systematic analysis of the classification differences among these four deep learning models through experiments. It serves as a valuable reference for selecting models in future research, particularly in scenarios such as land-use mapping, urban functional area recognition, and natural resource management. The facile oxidation of Sn2+ to Sn4+ poses an inherent challenge that limits the efficiency and stability of tin‐lead mixed (Sn−Pb) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and all‐perovskite tandem devices. In this work, we discover the sustainable redox reactions enabling self‐healing Sn−Pb perovskites, where their intractable oxidation degradation can be recovered to their original state under light soaking. Quantitative and operando spectroscopies are used to investigate the redox chemistry, revealing that metallic Pb0 from the photolysis of perovskite reacts with Sn4+ to regenerate Pb2+ and Sn2+ spontaneously. Given the sluggish redox reaction kinetics, V3+/V2+ ionic pair is designed as an effective redox shuttle to accelerate the recovery of Sn−Pb perovskites from oxidation. The target Sn−Pb PSCs enabled by V3+/V2+ ionic pair deliver an improved power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 21.22 % and excellent device lifespan, retaining nearly 90 % of its initial PCE after maximum power point tracking under light for 1,000 hours. Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites are promising materials for the next generation photovoltaics and optoelectronics; however, their practical application has been hindered by poor structural stability mainly caused by ion migration and external stimuli. Understanding the mechanism(s) of ion migration and structure decomposition is thus critical. Here we observe the sequence of structural changes at the atomic level that precede structural decomposition in the technologically important Cs1-xFAxPbI3 using ultralow dose transmission electron microscopy. We find that these changes differ, depending upon the A-site composition. Initially, there is a random loss of FA+, complemented by the loss of I-. The remaining FA+ and I- ions then migrate, unit cell by unit cell, into an ordered and more stable phase with a √2 x √2 superstructure. Further ion loss is accompanied by A-site dependent octahedral tilt modes and associated tetragonal phases with different stabilities. These observations of the loss of FA+/I- ion pairs, ion migration, octahedral tilt modes, and the role of the A-cation, provide insights into the atomic-scale structural mechanisms that drive and block ion loss and ion migration, opening pathways to inhibit ion loss, migration and improve structural stability. Applications of perovskite solar cells have been hindered by ion migration and structural instability. The authors carried out 1.5 T MRI examination without removing the CI magnet in two children with a cochlear implant (CI). In the first child, a conventional MRI scanning technique was used, which produced an image that was not clinically useful due to artifact size. He/she was scanned again using the 'propeller technique'. This scan had a reduced artifact and was clinically useful. The second child was scanned using the propeller technique while asleep. The image was clinically useful. The authors conclude that the propeller technique is safe and of benefit to clinical diagnosis because it enables clinically useful images to be generated in a 1.5 T MRI without necessitating CI magnet removal and reimplantation surgeries. Formamidinium lead iodide quantum dots (QDs) show great potential for solar cell applications but suffer from restricted charge transfer due to the insulating nature of their ligand shell. Management of the surface properties and resultant energy band alignment is the key to efficient and stable QD solar cells. Herein, an advance in QD surface passivation by introducing tailored multifunctional ligands (glycocyamine (GLA)) to the FAPbI3 QD surface is demonstrated. The incorporation of GLA ligands can partly substitute the native long‐chain insulating ligands and effectively reduce the non‐radiative recombination loss induced by surface trap states. Notably, the introduction of GLA ligands beneficially shifts the band offsets of the QD films and generates a homojunction structure with a cascading energy band alignment in the QD layers, promoting favorable charge transport and boosting the device's performance. As a result, a record‐high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 15.34% with improved open‐circuit voltage and fill factor is achieved. Moreover, the GLA‐assisted surface passivation boosts the device stability, in which over 80% and 75% of the original PCEs are maintained after storing the devices for 5500 h in ambient air and 768 h under continuous 1‐sun illumination, respectively.
