Abstract The early diagnosis of liver cancer is crucial for the treatment and depends on the coordinated use of several test procedures. Early diagnosis is crucial for precision therapy in the treatment of the hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Therefore, in this study, the NK cell-related gene prediction model was used to provide the basis for precision therapy at the gene level and a novel basis for the treatment of patients with liver cancer. Natural killer (NK) cells have innate abilities to recognize and destroy tumor cells and thus play a crucial function as the “innate counterpart” of cytotoxic T cells. The natural killer (NK) cells is well recognized as a prospective approach for tumor immunotherapy in treating patients with HCC. In this research, we used publicly available databases to collect bioinformatics data of scRNA-seq and RNA-seq from HCC patients. To determine the NK cell-related genes (NKRGs)-based risk profile for HCC, we isolated T and natural killer (NK) cells and subjected them to analysis. Uniform Manifold Approximation and Projection plots were created to show the degree of expression of each marker gene and the distribution of distinct clusters. The connection between the immunotherapy response and the NKRGs-based signature was further analyzed, and the NKRGs-based signature was established. Eventually, a nomogram was developed using the model and clinical features to precisely predict the likelihood of survival. The prognosis of HCC can be accurately predicted using the NKRGs-based prognostic signature, and thorough characterization of the NKRGs signature of HCC may help to interpret the response of HCC to immunotherapy and propose a novel tumor treatment perspective.

The self-assembly of Aβ peptides into toxic oligomers and fibrils is the primary cause of Alzheimer's disease. Moreover, the conformational transition from helix to sheet is considered a crucial step in the aggregation of Aβ peptides. However, the structural details of this process still remain unclear due to the heterogeneity and transient nature of the Aβ peptides. In this study, we developed an enhanced sampling strategy that combines artificial neural networks (ANN) with metadynamics to explore the conformational space of the Aβ42 peptides. The strategy consists of two parts: applying ANN to optimize CVs and conducting metadynamics based on the resulting CVs to sample conformations. The results showed that this strategy achieved better sampling performance in terms of the distribution of sampled conformations. The sampling efficiency is increased by 10-fold compared to our previous Hamiltonian Exchange Molecular Dynamics (MD) and by 1000-fold compared to ordinary MD. Based on the sampled conformations, we constructed a Markov state model to understand the detailed transition process. The intermediate states in this process are identified, and the connecting paths are analyzed. The conformational transitions in D23-K28 and M35-V40 are proven to be crucial for aggregation. These results are helpful in clarifying the mechanism and process of Aβ42 peptide aggregation. D23-K28 and M35-V40 can be identified as potential targets for screening and designing inhibitors of Aβ peptide aggregation.

Cirrhotic ascites refers to the accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity due to severe liver disease and impaired liver function, which leads to poor blood circulation in the body, increased pressure in the hepatic sinus wall, and the exudation of fluid from the plasma into the peritoneal cavity. Cirrhotic ascites is a common complication of cirrhosis and poses a threat to the health and lives of modern people, causing a heavy social burden worldwide. So far, there are no effective treatment methods available to improve the quality and quantity of life for patients and their partners; existing drugs can only alleviate the symptoms of cirrhotic ascites and slow down its progression. This article aims to carefully examine the pathogenesis of cirrhotic ascites by exploring various contributing factors such as portal hypertension, renal dysfunction, inflammation, growth factors, oxidative stress, immunocytes, and gut microbiota. The purpose is to gain better insights and deeper understanding of the mechanisms involved in this condition.

We construct supersymmetric fermionic Wilson loops along general curves in four-dimensional N=4 super Yang-Mills theory and along general planar curves in N=2 superconformal SU(N)×SU(N) quiver theory. These loops are generalizations of the Zarembo loops and are cohomologically equivalent to them. In N=4 super Yang-Mills theory, we compute their expectation values and verify the cohomological equivalence relation up to the order g4 in perturbation theory.

IntroductionBiliary Infection in patients is a common and important phenomenon resulting in severe complications and high morbidity, while the distributions and drug resistance profiles of biliary bacteria and related risk factors are dynamic. This study explored the characteristics of and risk factors for biliary infection to promote the rational use of antibiotics in clinically.MethodsBacterial identification and drug susceptibility testing were completed using the Vitek 2 Compact analysis system. The distribution and antibiotic-resistant characteristics of 3,490 strains of biliary bacteria in patients at Nankai Hospital from 2019 to 2021 were analyzed using Whonet 5.6 and SPSS 26.0 software. We then retrospectively analyzed the clinical data and risk factors associated with 2,340 strains of Gram-negative bacilli, which were divided into multidrug-resistant bacteria (1,508 cases) and non-multidrug-resistant bacteria (832 cases) by a multivariate Cox regression model.Results and discussionA total of 3,490 pathogenic bacterial strains were isolated from bile samples, including 2,340 (67.05%) Gram-negative strains, 1,029 (29.48%) Gram-positive strains, and 109 (4.56%) fungal strains. The top five pathogenic bacteria were Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecium, Enterococcus faecalis, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. BackgroundCluster of Differentiation 93 (CD93) plays an important role in angiogenesis and is considered an important target for inhibiting tumor angiogenesis, but there are currently no therapeutic antibodies against CD93 in the clinic. Thus, we describe the screening of novel nanobodies (Nbs) targeting human CD93 from a phage library of shark-derived Nbs.MethodsScreening and enrichment of phage libraries by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CD93 Nbs were purified by expression in E. coli. The binding affinity of anti-CD93 Nbs NC81/NC89 for CD93 was examined by flow cytometry (FC) and ELISA. The thermal stability of NC81/NC89 was examined by ELISA and CD spectroscopy. Afterward, the anti-angiogenic ability of NC81/NC89 was examined by MTT, wound healing assay, and tube formation assay. The expression level of VE-cadherin (VE-Ca) and CD93 was detected by Western Blot (WB). The binding sites and binding forms of NC81/NC89 to CD93 were analyzed by molecular docking.ResultsThe anti-CD93 Nbs were screened in a phage library, expressed in E. coli, and purified to >95% purity. The results of FC and ELISA showed that NC81/NC89 have binding ability to human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). The results of ELISA and CD spectroscopy showed that NC81/NC89 retained the ability to bind CD93 at 80°C and that the secondary structure remained stable. In vitro, the results showed that NC81 and NC89 significantly inhibited the proliferation and migration of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) as well as tube formation on Matrigel. Western Blot showed that NC81 and NC89 also inhibited the expression of VE-Ca thereby increasing vascular permeability. It was found during molecular docking that the CDR regions of NC81 and NC89 could be attached to CD93 by strong hydrogen bonds and salt bridges, and the binding sites were different.ConclusionWe have successfully isolated NC81 and NC89, which bind CD93, and both Nbs significantly inhibit angiogenesis and increase vascular permeability. These results suggest that NC81 and NC89 have potential clinical applications in angiogenesis-related therapies.

Abstract In this work we calculate the partition functions of $${\mathcal {N}}=1$$ N = 1 type 0A and 0B JT supergravity (SJT) on 2D surfaces of arbitrary genus with multiple finite cut-off boundaries, based on the $$T{\bar{T}}$$ T T ¯ deformed super-Schwarzian theories. In terms of SJT/matrix model duality, we compute the corresponding correlation functions in the $$T{\bar{T}}$$ T T ¯ deformed matrix model side by using topological recursion relations as well as the transformation properties of topological recursion relations under $$T{\bar{T}}$$ T T ¯ deformation. We check that the partition functions finite cut-off 0A and 0B SJT on generic 2D surfaces match the associated correlation functions in $$T{\bar{T}}$$ T T ¯ deformed matrix models respectively.

Understanding the thermal aging kinetics of animal oils is of vital importance in the storage and applications of animal oils. In this work, we use four different techniques, including UV-Vis spectrometry, viscometry, impedance spectroscopy, and acid–base titration, to study the thermal aging kinetics of tallow, chicken oil, lard, and sheep oil in the temperature range from 120 °C to 180 °C. The evolutions of the UV-Vis absorbance, dynamic viscosity, electric impedance, and acid titration are discussed with the defect kinetics. The evolutions of the color centers, defects for dynamic viscosity, and electric dipoles follow second-order, first-order, and zero-order kinetics, respectively. The temperature dependence of rate constants for the evolutions of the UV-Vis absorbance, dynamic viscosity, electric impedance, and acid titration satisfies the Arrhenius equation with the same activation energy for individual animal oils. The activation energies are ~43.1, ~23.8, ~39.1, and ~37.5 kJ/mol for tallow, chicken oil, lard, and sheep oil, respectively. The thermal aging kinetics of the animal oils are attributed to the oxidation of triglycerides.

Thin and flexible composite solid-state electrolyte (SSE) is considered to be a prospective candidate for lithium-oxygen (Li-O2) batteries with the aim to address the problems of unsatisfied safety, terrible durability as well as inferior electrochemical performance. Herein, in order to improve the safety and durability, a succinonitrile (SN) modified composite SSE is proposed. In this SSE, SN is introduced for eliminating the boundary between ceramic particles, increasing the amorphous region of polymer and ensuring fast ionic transport. Subsequently, the symmetric battery based on the proposed SSE achieves a long cycle life of 3000 h. Moreover, the elaborate cathode interface through the SN participation effectively reduces the barriers to the combination between lithium ions and electrons, facilitating the corresponding electrochemical reactions. As a result, the solid-state Li-O2 battery based on this SSE and tuned cathode interface achieves improved electrochemical performance including large specific capacity over 12,000 mAh g−1, enhanced rate capacity as well as stable cycle life of 54 cycles at room temperature. This ingenious design provides a new orientation for the evolution of solid-state Li-O2 batteries.

Polylactic acid (PLA) is considered a promising biodegradable polymer alternative. Due to its high brittleness, composite materials made by melt blending thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with PLA can enhance the toughness of PLA. To understand the forced aging caused by stress relaxation in polymer materials, this study explains the stress relaxation experiments of PLA/TPU blends with different mass ratios under applied strain through mechanical model simulations. The Kelvin representation of the standard linear solid model (SLSM) is used to analyze the stress relaxation data of TPU/PLA blends, successfully explaining that the Young’s moduli (E1 and E2) of springs decrease with increasing temperature and TPU content. The viscosity coefficient of the PLA/TPU blends decreases with increasing temperature, and its reciprocal follows the Arrhenius law. For TPU/PLA blends with increased concentration of TPU, the activation energy for stress relaxation shows a linear decrease, confirmed by the glass transition point measured by DMA, indicating that it does not involve chemical reactions.

Hepatic fibrosis is the formation of scar tissue in the liver. This scar tissue replaces healthy liver tissue and can lead to liver dysfunction and failure if left untreated. It is usually caused by chronic liver disease, such as hepatitis B or C, alcohol abuse, or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Pathological angiogenesis plays a crucial role in the development of hepatic fibrosis by promoting the growth of new blood vessels in the liver. These new vessels increase blood flow to the damaged areas of the liver, which triggers the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs). HSCs are responsible for producing excess collagen and other extracellular matrix proteins that contribute to the development of fibrosis. Pathological angiogenesis plays a crucial role in the development of hepatic fibrosis by promoting the growth of new blood vessels in the liver. These new vessels increase blood flow to the damaged areas of the liver, which triggers the activation of HSCs. HSCs are responsible for producing excess collagen and other extracellular matrix proteins that contribute to the development of fibrosis. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been found to target pathological angiogenesis, thereby providing a potential treatment option for hepatic fibrosis. Several studies have demonstrated that TCM exhibits anti-angiogenic effects by inhibiting the production of pro-angiogenic factors, such as vascular endothelial growth factor and angiopoietin-2, and by reducing the proliferation of endothelial cells. Reviewing and highlighting the unique TCM recognition of treating hepatic fibrosis by targeting pathological angiogenesis may shed light on future hepatic fibrosis research.

Walking exercise is a prevalent physical activity in urban areas, with streetscapes playing a significant role in shaping preferences. Understanding this influence is essential for creating urban environments conducive to walking exercise and improving residents’ quality of life. In this study, we utilize scenic beauty estimation and deep learning methods, leveraging street view images and walking exercise trajectories to analyze this influence from a human-centric perspective. We begin by generating sampling points along streets covered by trajectories and acquiring street view images. Subsequently, we apply a deep learning model to segment the images, yielding six visual indicators. Additionally, we use scenic beauty estimation to derive the seventh visual indicator. Finally, we match these indicators with trajectory data to implement preference analysis. The main findings are: (1) preferences for walking and running exercises differ on multiple indicators; (2) there are gender distinctions, with males preferring openness and females prioritizing enclosed spaces; (3) age plays a role, with those aged 30–40 preferring openness and those aged 40–50 preferring enclosed spaces; (4) preferences for different indicators vary over time and across different locations. These insights can inform policymakers in tailoring urban planning and design to specific population segments and promoting sustainable residential landscapes.

MAFLD stands for metabolic-related fatty liver disease, which is a prevalent liver disease affecting one-third of adults worldwide, and is strongly associated with obesity, hyperlipidemia, and type 2 diabetes. It encompasses a broad spectrum of conditions ranging from simple liver fat accumulation to advanced stages like chronic inflammation, tissue damage, fibrosis, cirrhosis, and even hepatocellular carcinoma. With limited approved drugs for MAFLD, identifying promising drug targets and developing effective treatment strategies is essential. The liver plays a critical role in regulating human immunity, and enriching innate and adaptive immune cells in the liver can significantly improve the pathological state of MAFLD. In the modern era of drug discovery, there is increasing evidence that traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, natural products and herb components can effectively treat MAFLD. Our study aims to review the current evidence supporting the potential benefits of such treatments, specifically targeting immune cells that are responsible for the pathogenesis of MAFLD. By providing new insights into the development of traditional drugs for the treatment of MAFLD, our findings may pave the way for more effective and targeted therapeutic approaches.

Abstract We compute the minimal area of a string worldsheet ending on two infinite periodic light-like Wilson lines in the AdS3 boundary, which is dual to the first non-planar correction to the gluon scattering amplitude in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM at the strong coupling. Using the connection between the Hitchin system and the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA) equations, we present an analytic method to compute the minimal area surface and express the non-trivial part of the minimal area in terms of the free energy of the TBA-like equations. Given the cross ratios as inputs, the area computed from the TBA-like equations matches that calculated using the numerical integration.

Targeted protein degradation is a powerful tool for determining the function of specific proteins nowadays. Survivin is the smallest member of the inhibitor of the apoptosis protein (IAP) family. It exists in the cytoplasm and nucleus of cells, but the exact function of survivin in different subcellular locations retained unclear updates due to the lack of effective and simple technical means. In this study, we created a novel nanoantibody-based molecular toolkit, namely, the ubiquitin–proteasome system (Nb4A-Fc-T2A-TRIM21), that can target to degrade survivin localized in cytoplasmic and cell nuclear by ubiquitinating, and by which to verify the potential roles of survivin subcellular localization. Also, the results showed that the cytoplasmic survivin mainly plays an anti-apoptotic function by directly or indirectly inhibiting the caspase pathway, and the nuclear survivin mainly promotes cell proliferation and participates in the regulation of the cell cycle. In addition, the Nb4A-Fc-T2A-TRIM21 system can degrade the endogenous survivin protein in a large amount by the ubiquitin–proteasome pathway, and the system can provide theoretical support for ubiquitination degradation targeting other endogenous proteins.

Abstract Energy inequality caused by the process of cluster head election has a large influence on energy efficiency and the network lifetime of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). To this end, a novel concept of EIec is proposed to evaluate the equality degree of energy consumption. Related theorems for establishing the candidate set of cluster heads are proposed, with the aim of promoting energy equality in each cluster. Subsequently, a novel energy‐efficiency‐adaptive cluster formation mechanism based on economic (ECFE) theory is proposed and detailed. Finally, extensive experiments are carried out to assess its energy efficiency and the network performance by comparisons with the existing classic and latest intelligent clustering algorithms. The results indicate that ECFE improves not only the energy efficiency but also the network performance effectively.

Abstract We study circular BPS Wilson loops in the N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 superconformal n-node quiver theories at large N and strong ’t Hooft coupling by using localization. We compute the expectation values of Wilson loops in the limit when the ’t Hooft couplings are hierarchically different and when they are nearly equal. Based on these results, we make a conjecture for arbitrary strong couplings.

Abstract In this study, the high-density SiC/SiO2 core–shell nanowires were synthesized on the nickel coated SiO2 (100 nm)/Si substrate by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method with ferrocene precursor at temperature 1000 °C compared to previous studies (1300–1600 °C). The present work provides an efficient strategy for the production of SiC/SiO2 nanowires with uniform morphology and good optical properties, where the Ni layer plays important roles for this fabrication at low temperature which reduces the decomposition temperature of hydrocarbon gases and improves the growth quality of SiC nanowires. The as-synthesized SiC/SiO2 nanowires consist of single crystal 3C structures as well as 3C structures with defects along [111] direction. In the photoluminescence (PL) spectrum, the SiC/SiO2 core–shell nanowires revealed an obvious blueshift. The blueshift is due to the formation of nanoscale silicon carbide polytypism caused by the stacking faults in 3C–SiC and the nanoscale polytypism also caused the transition from indirect to direct bandgap which explains why the stacking faults percentage in SiC confirmed from X-ray diffraction (XRD) is 19%, but ultimately makes the strongest emission intensity. Finally, the PL characteristics are further improved by changing the diameter of the SiC nanowire and etching and an approximate model followed by the vapor–liquid–solid (VLS) mechanism was proposed to explain the possible growth mechanism of the SiC/SiO2 nanowires.

Exploring the influence of settlement patterns on the landscape fragmentation in woodlands and biological reserves is key to achieving ecologically sustainable development. In this research, we chose the Nanshan National Park in Hunan Province, China, as a case study, to explore the influence mechanisms. First, we identified the biological reserves through the landscape security patterns of biological conservation. Second, we constructed a coupling coordination model to analyze the coupling relationship between the settlement patterns and landscape fragmentation in the woodlands and biological reserves. The analysis showed that, overall, the effect of the settlement area on the landscape fragmentation in the biological reserves was more pronounced, while the effect of the settlement spread and shape on the landscape fragmentation in the woodlands was more obvious. From a type-specific perspective, we analyzed the coupling relationship between the settlement patterns and (1) the landscape fragmentation in different woodlands and (2) the landscape fragmentation in the biological reserves, namely concerning Leiothrix lutea and Emberiza aureola. We found that the effect of the settlement patterns on the landscape fragmentation of the Leiothrix lutea biological reserve was more significant than that of the landscape fragmentation of its main habitat, the evergreen broad-leaved forest. The effect of settlement patterns on the landscape fragmentation of the Emberiza aureola biological reserve was more significant than that of the landscape fragmentation of its other habitats. In addition, the results demonstrated that the habitat protection of the woodlands was not a substitute for the systematic protection of biosecurity patterns. This research could assist in developing more efficient conservation measures for ecologically protected sites with rural settlements.

We construct for the first time Drukker-Trancanelli (DT) type fermionic Bogomolǹyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) Wilson loops in four-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=2$ superconformal $SU(N)\times SU(N)$ quiver theory and $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang-Mills theory. The connections of these fermionic BPS Wilson loops have a supermatrix structure. We construct timelike BPS Wilson lines in Minkowski spacetime and circular BPS Wilson loops in Euclidean space. These Wilson loops involve dimensionful parameters. For generic values of parameters, they preserve one real (complex) supercharge in Lorentzian (Euclidean) signature. Supersymmetry enhancement for Wilson loops happens when the parameters satisfy certain constraints. The nature of such loops is quite different from the Wilson loop operators involving fermions constructed previously in the literature on four-dimensional gauge theories. We hope that further investigations of such new Wilson loops will explore deep structures in both the gauge theories and gauge/gravity dualities.

Abstract We study the $$T\bar{T}$$ T T ¯ deformation of the chiral bosons and show the equivalence between the chiral bosons of opposite chiralities and the scalar fields at the Hamiltonian level under the deformation. We also derive the deformed Lagrangian of more generic theories which contain an arbitrary number of chiral bosons to all orders. By using these results, we derive the $$T\bar{T}$$ T T ¯ deformed boundary action of the $$\hbox {AdS}_3$$ AdS 3 gravity theory in the Chern–Simons formulation. We compute the deformed one-loop torus partition function, which satisfies the $$T\bar{T}$$ T T ¯ flow equation up to the one-loop order. Finally, we calculate the deformed stress–energy tensor of a solution describing a BTZ black hole in the boundary theory, which coincides with the boundary stress–energy tensor derived from the BTZ black hole with a finite cutoff.

Si-Miao-Yong-An decoction (SMYAD), a traditional Chinese medicine formula, is mainly used to clear away heat and detoxify and to promote blood circulation and relieve pain. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the most common type of microvascular complication caused by diabetes. This study is designed to examine the protective effect of SMYAD against DR and further to reveal the engaged mechanism via integrating network pharmacology and in vivo experimental evidence. Streptozotocin (STZ) was intraperitoneally injected into mice to induce diabetes. The dysfunction of the blood retina barrier (BRB) was observed by conducting Evan’s blue leakage assay, detecting tight junction (TJ) protein expression and counting the number of acellular capillaries in retinas. Our results showed that SMYAD alleviated BRB breakdown in vivo. Network pharmacology results demonstrated that regulating inflammation, immune responses, and angiogenesis might be associated with the efficacy of SMYAD in alleviating DR, in which the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and hypoxia inducible factor 1 (HIF1) signal pathways were involved. Next, immunofluorescence staining results showed that SMYAD decreased microglia activation in retinas and reduced the enhanced adhesion of leukocytes into retinal vessels. SMYAD reduced the elevated serum TNFα content and retinal TNFα expression. SMYAD abrogated the activation of nuclear factor κB (NFκB) and HIF1α and consequently decreased the enhanced expression of some pro-inflammatory molecules and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in retinas. These results indicate that SMYAD attenuated DR development through suppressing retinal inflammation and angiogenesis via abrogating NFκB-TNFα and HIF1α-VEGF signal pathways.

There is a great need to develop biodegradable thermoplastics for a variety of applications in a wide range of temperatures. In this work, we prepare polymer blends from polylactic acid (PLA) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) via a melting blend method at 200 °C and study the creep deformation of the PLA/TPU blends in a temperature range of 10 to 40 °C with the focus on transient and steady-state creep. The stress exponent for the power law description of the steady state creep of PLA/TPU blends decreases linearly with the increase of the mass fraction of TPU from 1.73 for the PLA to 1.17 for the TPU. The activation energies of the rate processes for the steady-state creep and transient creep decrease linearly with the increase of the mass fraction of TPU from 97.7 ± 3.9 kJ/mol and 59.4 ± 2.9 kJ/mol for the PLA to 26.3 ± 1.3 kJ/mol and 25.4 ± 1.7 kJ/mol for the TPU, respectively. These linearly decreasing trends can be attributed to the weak interaction between the PLA and the TPU. The creep deformation of the PLA/TPU blends consists of the contributions of individual PLA and TPU.

The graphene/poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) composites are a promising candidate for electronic, optoelectrical, and environmental applications. Understanding the mechanical degradation of PMMA-based materials is of practical importance in improving the reliability and lifespan of the associated structures and systems. In this study, we investigate the effects of functionalized graphene (FG) and UV irradiation on the stress–relaxation of PMMA. Uniaxial tensile and stress –relaxation tests are performed to evaluate the mechanical properties of the composites. The mechanical strength and elongation at the break increase with the graphene concentration but decrease with the increase of the irradiation dose. Raman spectroscopy and intrinsic viscosity measurement are applied to examine the root cause of the degradation in the composites. UV irradiation leads to polymer chain scission and loss of molecular weight. The Kelvin representation of the standard linear solid model (SLSM) is used to describe the stress–relaxation curves of the composites. The value of the elastic modulus in the Kelvin element decreases with the increase in temperature. The viscosity follows the Arrhenius equation. The activation energy of viscosity increases with the increasing FGs concentration because the FGs hinder the chain motion of PMMA. However, UV irradiation makes chain scission of PMMA/FGs composite so that the polymer chain moves more easily and the activation energy of stress relaxation lowers. The steady-state stress follows the van ’t Hoff equation that stress relaxation is an exothermal deformation process. Although Maxwell’s representation of SLSM is mathematically identical to the Kelvin representation of SLSM, the former cannot interpret the stress–relaxation behavior of PMMA/FGs composite, which is against the concept of Young’s modulus as a decreasing temperature function.

Abstract We consider Toda field theories in a classical Euclidean AdS 2 background. We compute the four-point functions of boundary operators in the a 1, a 2 and b 2 Toda field theories. They take the same form as the four-point functions of generators in the corresponding W $$ \mathcal{W} $$ -algebras. Therefore we conjecture that the boundary operators are in one-to-one correspondence with the generators in the W $$ \mathcal{W} $$ -algebras.

Abstract We prove the integrability of the two-loop open spin chain Hamiltonian from ABJM determinant like operators given in [1]. By explicitly constructing R-matrices and K-matrices, we successfully obtain the two-loop Hamiltonian from the double row transfer matrices. This proves the integrability of our two-loop Hamiltonian. Based on the vacuum eigenvalues of the transfer matrices, we make a conjecture on the eigenvalues of the transfer matrices for general excited states. Bethe ansatz equations are simply obtained from the analytic conditions at the superficial poles of the eigenvalues.

Abstract In N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ ≥ 2 superconformal Chern-Simons-matter theories we construct the infinite family of Bogomol’nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) Wilson loops featured by constant parametric couplings to scalar and fermion matter, including both line Wilson loops in Minkowski spacetime and circle Wilson loops in Euclidean space. We find that the connection of the most general BPS Wilson loop cannot be decomposed in terms of double-node connections. Moreover, if the quiver contains triangles, it cannot be interpreted as a super-matrix inside a superalgebra. However, for particular choices of the parameters it reduces to the well-known connections of 1/6 BPS Wilson loops in Aharony-Bergman-Jafferis-Maldacena (ABJM) theory and 1/4 BPS Wilson loops in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 orbifold ABJM theory. In the particular case of N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 orbifold ABJM theory we identify the gravity duals of a subset of operators. We investigate the cohomological equivalence of fermionic and bosonic BPS Wilson loops at quantum level by studying their expectation values, and find strong evidence that the cohomological equivalence holds quantum mechanically, at framing one. Finally, we discuss a stronger formulation of the cohomological equivalence, which implies non-trivial identities for correlation functions of composite operators in the defect CFT defined on the Wilson contour and allows to make novel predictions on the corresponding unknown integrals that call for a confirmation.

SGT1 (suppressor of the skp1 G2 allele) is an important plant disease resistance-related protein, which plays an important role in plant resistance to pathogens and regulates signal transduction during the process of plant disease resistance. In this study, we analyzed the expression profile of SbSGT1 in sorghum under phytohormones treatment. Quantitative real-time PCR results showed that SbSGT1 was most expressed in sorghum leaves, and could respond to plant hormones such as auxin, abscisic acid, salicylic acid, and brassinolide. Subsequently, we determined the optimal soluble prokaryotic expression conditions for SbSGT1 and purified it using a protein purification system in order to evaluate its potential interactions with plant hormones. Microscale thermophoretic analysis showed that SbSGT1 exhibited significant interactions with indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), with a Kd value of 1.5934. Furthermore, the transient expression of SbSGT1 in Nicotiana benthamiana indicated that treatment with exogenous auxin could inhibit SbSGT1 expression, both at the transcriptional and translational level, demonstrating that there exists an interaction between SbSGT1 and auxin.

Abstract We investigate the algebraic curve for string in Sch 5 × S 5. We compute the semiclassical spectrum for BMN string in Sch 5 × S 5 from the algebraic curve. We compare our results with the anomalous dimensions in sl(2) sector of the null dipole deformation of N=4 $$ \mathcal{N}=4 $$ superYang-Millstheory.

Recently, it has been shown that the Weinberg's formula for soft graviton production is essentially a Fourier transformation of the formula for gravitational memory which provides an effective way to understand how the classical calculation arises as a limiting case of the quantum result. In this note, we propose a general framework that connects the soft theorems to the radiation fields obtained from classical computation for different theories in even dimensions. We show that the latter is nothing but Fourier transformation of the former. The memory formulas can be derived from radiation fields explicitly.

Owing to their extraordinary physical and chemical properties, two-dimensional (2D) materials have aroused extensive attention and have been widely used in photonic and optoelectronic devices, catalytic reactions, and biomedicine. In particular, 2D materials possess a unique bandgap structure and nonlinear optical properties, which can be used as saturable absorbers in ultrafast lasers. Here, we mainly review the top-down and bottom-up methods for preparing 2D materials, such as graphene, topological insulators, transition metal dichalcogenides, black phosphorus, and MXenes. Then, we focus on the ultrafast applications of 2D materials at the typical operating wavelengths of 1, 1.5, 2, and 3 μm. The key parameters and output performance of ultrafast pulsed lasers based on 2D materials are discussed. Furthermore, an outlook regarding the fabrication methods and the development of 2D materials in ultrafast photonics is also presented.

In this paper we construct and classify novel Drukker–Trancanelli (DT) type BPS Wilson loops along infinite straight lines and circles in N=2,3 quiver superconformal Chern–Simons-matter theories, Aharony–Bergman–Jafferis–Maldacena (ABJM) theory, and N=4 orbifold ABJM theory. Generally we have four classes of Wilson loops, and all of them preserve the same supersymmetries as the BPS Gaiotto–Yin (GY) type Wilson loops. There are several free complex parameters in the DT type BPS Wilson loops, and for two classes of Wilson loops in ABJM theory and N=4 orbifold ABJM theory there are supersymmetry enhancements at special values of the parameters. We check that the differences of the DT type and GY type Wilson loops are Q-exact with Q being some supercharges preserved by both the DT type and GY type Wilson loops. The results would be useful to calculate vacuum expectation values of the DT type Wilson loops in matrix models if they are still BPS quantum mechanically.

Fang contact model is introduced to analyze stress of the spherical fixed ring journal bearing. Developed calculation programs in the MATLAB software which are utilized to calculate the contact characteristics of roller cone drill bits spherical fixed ring journal bearing. In addition, effects of external load, radius clearance values, and material parameter on the mechanics performance were investigated. The results show that the value of external load has a direct pronounced effect on the contact characteristics of journal bearing. There is a significant positive correlation between contact pressure and external load, radius clearance value, and the Young's modulus of material. However, there is an evident negative correlation between contact radius of journal bearing and radius clearance value, and the Young's modulus of material. The smaller radius clearance value of journal bearing is, the more centralized contact region will be, so the corresponding contact pressure will be higher. From the perspective of reducing friction and wear, we need select the materials which have high strength and good toughness. Not only might this can improve the wear resistance, it also effectively decreases the contact pressure. In this case, we can prolong the service life of roller cone drill bits journal bearing.

We show that generic three-dimensional N=2 quiver super Chern–Simons-matter theories admit Bogomol'nyi–Prasad–Sommerfield (BPS) Drukker–Trancanelli (DT) type Wilson loops. We investigate both Wilson loops along timelike infinite straight lines in Minkowski spacetime and circular Wilson loops in Euclidean space. In Aharnoy–Bergman–Jafferis–Maldacena theory, we find that generic BPS DT type Wilson loops preserve the same number of supersymmetries as Gaiotto–Yin type Wilson loops. There are several free parameters for generic BPS DT type Wilson loops in the construction, and supersymmetry enhancement for Wilson loops happens for special values of the parameters.

Ethylene supersonic combustion flow field in different injection schemes was studied numerically in the flight Mach 4. The results show that injection pressure has significant influence on the location of the separation zone and the heat release region, but the starting point of the separation region was mostly influenced by the heat release rather than by the injection pressure; the combustion efficiency of the injection schemes including two injection points is higher than that of three injection points, while the total pressure recovery coefficient of the former injection schemes is lower than the latter; excessive ethylene injected in upstream will lead to the change of free-stream flow conditions, which behaves as the inlet unstart in practical application; more ethylene could be injected in downstream to avoid the problem; on the condition of avoiding thermal choke in isolator, it is more advantageous that injection points were arranged more closely to the starting point of separation zone in upside and to the front of the cavity in downside.

The influence of the in-stream pylon and strut on the performance of scramjet combustor was experimentally and numerically investigated. The experiments were conducted with a direct-connect supersonic model combustor equipped with multiple cavities. The entrance parameter of combustor corresponds to scramjet flight Mach number 4.0 with a total temperature of 947 K. The research results show that, compared with the scramjet combustor without pylon and strut, the wall pressure and the thrust of the scramjet increase due to the improvement of mixing and combustion effect due to the pylon and strut. The total pressure loss caused by the strut is considerable whereas pylon influence is slight.
