2. A Direct Inspection of the Displacement Current Using the Phase Measurement

Abstract

After J. C. Maxwell brought forward the concept of displacement currents, H. R. Hertz and other scholars verified the existence of electromagnetic waves in experimental, and then confirmed indirectly the conceptive correctness of displacement currents. During the recent years, along with the evolution of electronic measurement technologies, the researchers are attempting to validate directly the amplitude and orientation of displacement currents in experimental. The paper proposes and achieves one phase measurement experiment to scrutinize the orientation of displacement currents. The study indicates that the existing measurement technology is capable of inspecting directly the amplitude and orientation of displacement currents. The test results do not locate on the predicted range of classical electromagnetic theory presently. The displacement current may not be treatable similar to the conductive current to a certain extent. 9. The Optimized Ultrasonic Extraction of the Polysaccharide from Pleurotus eryngii by Response Surface Methodology and Assessing Its Antioxidant Activity

Abstract

We aimed to investigate the effects of ultrasonic treatment on the yield of polysaccharide in the extraction and antioxidant activity of polysaccharide. By employing an ultrasonic technique, polysaccharide was extracted from Pleurotus eryngii (PPE). The optimal conditions for ultrasonic extraction of PPE were revealed utilizing Response Surface Methodology (RSM) which was adopted to assess the effects of four variables on the extraction of PPE. These variables included temperature, time, ultrasonic power and solvent-solid ratio and were independent to each other. The plots of response surface showed that these variables presented complicated and significant effects on the extraction of polysaccharide. To obtain the highest recovery of polysaccharide, ultrasonic extraction was performed at 95°C for 82 min with a solvent-solid ratio of 20 mL/g and an ultrasonic power of 213 W. The estimated recovery was 14.5%. The determination of extractions in the experiments under optimal conditions showed insignificant differences with the estimated recovery. Following these experiments, the antioxidant activity in vitro was assessed by detecting scavenging ability against DPPH, superoxide anions and hydroxyl radicals. A 45.6% removal rate for DPPH was observed at 2.5 mg/ml of PPE.

13. Enhancement of Cotton Waxes Removal with Thermobifida Fusca Cutinase by Temperature Control Process

Abstract

Melting point of cotton waxes and effects of temperature on cotton waxes removal were investigated. Based on these results a temperature control process for cutinase was developed to improve cotton waxes removal: Firstly cotton fabric was treated by cutinase at 70°C for 10 min, and then the treatment temperature was switched to 55°C and kept this temperature till to the end of the treatment. As a result, maximal cotton waxes removal of 67.69% for cutinase and 75.37% for combined enzymes (cutinase with pectinase and cellulase) were achieved, which was 17.96% and 13.88% higher than that of treatment at 55°C for cutinase and combined enzymes respectively. Moreover, the mechanism involved in enhancing cotton waxes removal in temperature control process was also discussed.

Abstract

The embedded interposer carrier (EIC) technology for 3D-integrated circuits (3D-ICs) play an important role as a promising candidate to deal with the assembly/bonding processes of thin stacked chip and substrate. However, peeling stress of the interface between stacked via holes and copper-filled through silicon via silicon-based interposer may cause a thermomechanical reliability issue among multi-stacked film EIC architectures. For dealing with this situation, we propose a process-oriented finite element analysis method considering material nonlinear behaviors as well as process flows including process temperature and steps. This method is able to analyze systematically the effect of cycling temperature loads induced during the bonding process. From the result of simulations, it indicates that the curing process of laminated material is the critical step among the entire bonding process. In addition, the material about a compliant interposer is recommend to be a suitable solution for EIC architecture enhancing operational reliability. Furthermore, the thermal stress of each thin film stacked inside EIC structure can be relieved by means of the flexible of the carrier laminate design. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
