Abstract

In reality, wind power data are often accompanied by data losses, which can affect the accurate prediction of wind power and subsequently impact the real-time scheduling of the power system. Existing methods for recovering missing data primarily consider the environmental conditions of individual wind farms, thereby overlooking the spatiotemporal correlations between neighboring wind farms, which significantly compromise their recovery effectiveness. In this paper, a joint missing data recovery model based on power data from adjacent wind farms is proposed. At first, a spatial–temporal module (STM) is designed using a combination of graph convolution network and recurrent neural networks to learn spatiotemporal dependencies and similarities. Subsequently, to provide a solid computational foundation for the STM, a Euclidean-directed graph based on Granger causality is constructed to reflect the hidden spatiotemporal information in the data. Finally, comprehensive tests on data recovery for both missing completely at random and short-term continuous missing are conducted on a real-world dataset. The results demonstrate that the proposed model exhibits a significant advantage in missing data recovery compared to baseline models. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Humans have altered the earth in unprecedented ways, and these changes have profound implications for global climate change. However, the impacts of human pressures on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions over long time scales have not yet been clarified. Here, we used the human footprint index (HF), which estimates the ecological footprint of humans in a given location, to explore the impacts of human pressures on CO2 emissions in China from 2000 to 2017. Human pressures (+13.6%) and CO2 emissions (+198.3%) in China are still on the rise during 2000–2017 and are unevenly distributed spatially. There was a significant positive correlation between human pressures and CO2 emissions in China, and northern China is the main driver of this correlation. The increase of CO2 emissions in China slowed down after 2011. Although human pressures on the environment are increasing, high-quality development measures have already had noticeable effects on CO2 emission reductions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

50. Core-shell MnCeOxcatalysts for NO oxidation and mild temperature diesel soot combustion

Abstract

Environmental contamination such as soot particles and NOxhas aroused extensive attraction recently. However, the main challenge lies in the oxidation of soot at mild temperature with the assistance of NOx. Here, a series of core–shell MnCeOxcatalysts were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method and employed for low-temperature catalytic oxidation of soot in the presence of NOx. X-ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), N2adsorption/desorption, H2-temperature programmed reduction (H2-TPR), O2-temperature programmed desorption (O2-TPD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman analyses were conducted for identifying the structure of prepared catalysts and investigating redox properties of the core–shell mixed oxide, which shows excellent performance for NO oxidation and the T50about 350 °C for soot oxidation. Besides, soot particle is oxided at 304 °C in the presence of NO, while T50augments up to 340 °C in the absence of NO. In the NOx-assisted elimination cases of soot, NO2generated from NO in emission gas is generally reckoned as a facilitator which significantly reduces ignition temperature of soot particles. Possible catalytic mechanism over core–shell MnCeOxcatalysts is also proposed in this paper.
