Zusammenfassung Gegenstand und Ziel Desoxycorticosteronpivalat (DOCP) ist seit 2016 mit Zycortal® das einzige in Deutschland zugelassene Medikament für die Therapie des primären Hypoadrenokortizismus (Morbus Addison) beim Hund. Der Hersteller empfiehlt als Anfangsdosis 2,2 mg/kg. Sowohl eigene Erfahrungen als auch vereinzelte bisherige Veröffentlichungen lassen vermuten, dass eine deutlich niedrigere Anfangsdosis ausreicht. Gründe für eine Dosisreduktion sind die Verringerung der beträchtlichen Kosten mit Steigerung der Besitzermotivation zur Therapie sowie die Vermeidung einer Überdosierung und damit einhergehender Nebenwirkungen. Ziel unserer retrospektiven Studie war zu zeigen, dass eine Anfangsdosis von 1,5 mg/kg DOCP ausreicht, um einen Hund mit primärem Hypoadrenokortizismus stabil einzustellen. Material und Methode Aufnahme in die Studie fanden Hunde mit primärem Hypoadrenokortizismus, die mit einer DOCP-Anfangsdosis von 1,5 mg/kg s. c. therapiert worden waren. Dokumentiert wurden die 1., 2. und letztbekannte DOCP-Dosis sowie die Elektrolytkonzentrationen zum Zeitpunkt der Diagnose, 10–14 Tage nach der ersten DOCP-Injektion, am Tag der 2. und der zuletzt dokumentierten Injektion von DOCP. Ein Hund galt als stabil eingestellt, wenn er ein ungestörtes Allgemeinbefinden hatte, Natrium- und Kaliumkonzentration im Referenzbereich lagen und der behandelnde Tierarzt keine Dosisanpassung empfahl. Ergebnisse Alle 13 in die Studie eingeschlossenen Hunde waren nach der 1. bzw. 2. Injektion stabil eingestellt. Ein Hund benötigte als letzte dokumentierte Dosis 1,6 mg/kg DOCP, alle anderen ≤ 1,5 mg/kg (Median: 1,3 mg/kg, Spanne: 0,4–1,6 mg/kg). Elf Hunde erhielten monatlich eine Injektion, 2 Hunde alle 60 Tage. Der Beobachtungszeitraum betrug mindestens 7 Monate (Median: 20 Monate, Spanne: 7–26 Monate). Schlussfolgerung und klinische Relevanz Wir konnten zeigen, dass eine Anfangsdosis von 1,5 mg/kg DOCP (Zycortal®) ausreicht, um einen Hund mit primärem Hypoadrenokortizismus stabil einzustellen, aber teilweise Dosisanpassungen vorgenommen werden müssen. Für eine korrekte Einstellung der DOCP-Dosis ist eine regelmäßige Elektrolytkontrolle jeweils 10 Tage nach DOCP-Injektion als auch nach 28–31 Tagen nötig.

Since 2016 the only approved drug for the treatment of primary hypoadrenocorticism (Addisons disease) in dogs in Germany is desoxycorticosterone pivalate (DOCP), namely ZycortalDogs with primary hypoadrenocorticism were included if the initial starting dose was 1.5 mg/kg DOCP subcutaneously. The first, second and the last known dose of DOCP were documented. Electrolyte concentrations at the time of diagnosis as well as 10-14 days after the first injection, on the day of the second injection as well as at the last known injection were recorded. A dog was considered medically well-regulated when clinically healthy, sodium and potassium concentrations within the reference ranges, and when the responsible veterinarian did not recommended a dose alteration.All 13 included dogs were clinically healthy after the first or second injection. One dog received 1.6 mg/kg DOCP as last documented dose, all other dogs received ≤ 1.5 mg/kg (median: 1.3, range: 0.4-1.6) DOCP. Eleven dogs were injected once monthly, 2 dogs received injections every 60 days. The publication of La vie musicale en Nouvelle France marks an important date for musicology in Quebec. In fact, this substantial book fills a serious lacuna in the history of music in Canada and in Quebec. If the specialized work of the explorers in this area such as Helmut Kallmann, A History of Music in Canada, 1534-1914 (Toronto: University of Toronto Press, 1960); Andree Desautels, "Les trois âges de la musique au Canada-le premier âge: la Nouvelle-France au XVII^sup e^ et au XVIII^sup e^ siecle" (in La musique, les homes, les instruments, les oeuvres . . ., 2 vols. ed. The result of almost twenty years of research, the present study answers many questions and from now on will serve as a reference on the subject, putting an end to the long held belief in the absence of significant musical activities in New France. The area under French rule was large, and the authors have chosen to limit their work to "the ecclesiastical, civil, and military center of New France, that is the Saint Lawrence valley, what is today Rimouski, up to Montreal and through to Quebec and Trois-Rivieres" (pp. 17-18). Even Acadia, Louisiana, and New England receive coverage. The present work, written with erudition and great scholarly rigor, is distinguished as much by the number and diversity of the sources used-French and local, printed and manuscript-as by the way the materials are collated, scrutinized, analyzed, and discussed. The process has permitted the establishment of facts and the correction of errors and legends, but has also given birth to additional questions due to the greater perspective on both religious and secular music. Quantitatively and qualitatively, the critical apparatus shows the honesty, weight, and quality of the musicological approach. Ninety-seven illustrations and music examples, and biographical side bars relating to the life of French composers with any influence or link to New France (edited by Francois Filiatrault), along with an ample number of tables are inserted into the dense and detailed text, regularly relieved by picturesque descriptions of events of contemporary life. The epistolary remarks of Elisabeth Begon, "a sort of Montreal Madame de Sevigne" (p. 295) are the most lively. In December of 1748 she writes, for example, "today the news is that everyone is learning to dance" (p. 296), to the great despair of the members of the clergy who strongly denounced such gatherings, dances, and parties and "all of these lustful songs that only lead to shameful pleasures . . . quarrels and disgraceful illnesses" (p. 298). The variety of musical life in France serves as a backdrop to the book, which is divided into two parts dedicated respectively to religious music (seven chapters) and music in society (five chapters). …
