Este trabalho tem por objetivo refletir sobre a mediação, tanto a pedagógica, quanto a tecnológica, bem como sobre o processo de interação para a compreensão destes conceitos nas práticas de tutoria na perspectiva que provém do interacionismo social, uma vez que se considera o caráter social da linguagem. Para tal consultou-se Vygotsky (1989), Bakhtin (1997), Ostermann e Cavalcanti (2010), Koll (2010), Kenski (2003), Saraiva (2010), Tonelli-Santos (20013), Bauman (2001), Souza (2005), Ubry (2010) e Neder (2005). Para os teóricos que embasam a pesquisa, a aprendizagem se dá por meio da mediação e da interação com outras pessoas e artefatos. Dessa forma, pode-se ver no interacionismo social um apoio para uma proposta de formação contínua para o ensino de línguas e, consequentemente, um enfoque online para seu desenvolvimento. Esta é uma pesquisa bibliográfica de caráter qualitativo que envolve e discute as questões pertinentes ao desenvolvimento da expressão oral no ensino de língua estrangeira na modalidade à distância. O resultado demonstrou que é necessário utilizar não apenas o Moodle, mas uma plataforma comunicacional como o Google Meet ou o Skype para desenvolver a expressão oral. No entanto, é necessária, sobretudo, uma prática de mediação pedagógica para utilizar as ferramentas e apropriar-se dela e desenvolver o conteúdo. O professor-tutor deve passar por uma formação que lhe proporcione saberes pedagógicos e tecnológicos objetivando a interação com o acadêmico, uma vez que é na interação com professores, colegas, artefatos e sociedade que o acadêmico conseguirá desenvolver a expressão oral em diferentes contextos discursivos.

O artigo apresenta um debate teórico sobre as ideias que dialogam com a perspectiva decolonial aplicada à moda, assim como trazer os desenvolvimentos teóricos arrolados no contexto do Sul global. Para tanto, emprega-se um conjunto de autores da área de moda que vem, desde meados dos anos 1990, realizando uma crítica importante a determinados conceitos que formam a base de reflexão da disciplina, como é o caso da própria noção de moda. Assim, o artigo tem o objetivo de questionar o sistema de autorização da moda e o pressuposto de que ela seria um exclusivo ocidental. A crítica se direciona à matriz colonial de pensamento que produz e reproduz uma divisão binária entre os povos, submetidos à classificação que os opõe entre “com moda” ou “sem moda”.

EnglishThe present paper aims to analyze whether the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) has been promoting innovation in family farming, contributing to the constitutional objective of guaranteeing agrarian and national development. The hypothesis is that Embrapa has different ways of acting, all aimed at the scientific and technological develop-ment of the Brazilian agricultural sector, but also encouraging innovation in family farming. The heretofore mentioned work was based on bibliographic research and Embrapa data obtained, among other sources, through the Law on Access to Information. The results found were as fol-lows: until 2018, Embrapa had a Macroprogram specifically focused on family farming; Such had lower revenues when compared to Embrapa's other five Macrograms; such Macroprogram was discontinued in 2018. The conclusions reached indicate that, despite the budgetary discrep-ancy, Macroprogram 6 represented an important state stance of inducing technical progress in a fundamental activity in the country. Concerns arise with regards to Embrapa's role in fostering innovations in family farming, contributing to agrarian development and the implementation of constitutional goals. novacao e desenvolvimento agrario: o macroprograma de agricultura familiar da Embrapa e os objetivos constitucionais portuguesEste trabalho objetiva analisar se a Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuaria (Embrapa) tem atuado no fomento a inovacao na agricultura familiar, contribuindo para o objetivo constitucional de garantir o desenvolvimento agrario e nacional. A hipotese e de que a Embrapa tem distintas formas de atuar, todas voltadas para o desenvolvimento cientifico e tecnologico do setor agropecuario brasileiro, mas que tambem incentiva a inovacao na agricultura familiar. O trabalho se deu com base em pesquisa bibliografica e de dados da Embrapa obtidos, entre outras vias, atraves da Lei de Acesso a Informacao. Os resultados encontrados foram de que: a Embrapa contava, ate 2018, com um Macroprograma especificamente voltado a agricultura familiar; esse Macroprograma tinha receitas inferiores aos outros cinco Macroprogramas da Embrapa; o Macroprograma foi descontinuado em 2018. As conclusoes apontam que, apesar da discrepância orcamentaria, o Macroprograma 6 representava uma importante postura estatal de inducao do progresso tecnico em atividade fundamental ao Pais. Nesse sentido, em virtude da descontinuacao do Macroprograma, preocupacoes surgem acerca do papel da Embrapa em fomentar inovacoes na agricultura familiar, colaborando para o desenvolvimento agrario e a implementacao dos objetivos constitucionais

Objectives: To assess the presence of restless legs syndrome, periodic leg movement, and sleep disorders in female adolescents with idiopathic musculoskeletal pain through a sleep scale and polysomnography, and to compare these data in adolescents without pain history. Method: Twenty-six adolescents diagnosed with idiopathic musculoskeletal pain followed in a pain outpatient clinic and 25 healthy controls matched by age and education were recruited. The restless legs syndrome criteria were evaluated according to the International Restless Legs Syndrome Study Group, the Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children was completed, nocturnal polysomnography was performed, and anxiety symptoms were recorded. Results: The mean age of idiopathic musculoskeletal pain adolescents was 13.9 ± 1.6 years; in controls, it was 14.4 ± 1.4 years. One adolescent in the control group (4 %) and nine patients with idiopathic musculoskeletal pain (34.6 %) fulfilled the restless legs syndrome criteria (p = 0.011). The authors did not observe significant differences in Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children scores between the groups in all components: disorders of initiating and maintaining sleep (p = 0.290), sleep breathing disorders (p = 0.576), disorders of arousal (p = 0.162), sleep-wake transition disorders (p = 0.258), disorder of excessive daytime somnolence (p = 0.594), and sleep hyperhidrosis (p = 0.797). The neurophysiological, respiratory, and periodic leg movement parameters were similar in both groups. Having anxiety was not associated with restless legs syndrome (p = 0.11). Three patients with idiopathic musculoskeletal pain (11.5 %) presented restless legs syndrome and periodic leg movement simultaneously, which was absent in the control group. Conclusion: Female adolescents with idiopathic musculoskeletal pain present criteria for RLS more frequently than healthy adolescents. However, this study did not observe relevant changes in objective and subject sleep variables. Resumo Objetivos: Avaliar a presença de síndrome das pernas inquietas, movimento periódico das pernas e distúrbios do sono em adolescentes do sexo feminino com dor musculoesquelética idiopática por meio da escala do sono e da polissonografia e comparar esses dados em adolescentes sem histórico de dor. Método: Foram recrutados 26 adolescentes diagnosticados com dor musculoesquelética idiopática acompanhados em um ambulatório de dor e 25 controles saudáveis pareados por idade e escolaridade. Avaliamos os critérios da síndrome das pernas inquietas de acordo com o Grupo Internacional de Estudos de Síndrome das Pernas Inquietas, a Escala de Distúrbios do Sono em Crianças, a polissonografia noturna e os sintomas de ansiedade. Resultados: A idade média dos adolescentes com dor musculoesquelética idiopática foi 13,9 ± 1,6 anos e dos controles foi 14,4 ± 1,4 anos. Um adolescente no grupo de controle (4%) e nove pacientes com dor musculoesquelética idiopática (34,6%) atenderam aos critérios da síndrome das pernas inquietas (p = 0,011). Não observamos diferenças significativas nos escores da Escala de Distúrbios do Sono em Crianças entre os grupos em todos os componentes: distúrbios do início e da manutenção do sono (p = 0,290), distúrbios respiratórios do sono (p = 0,576), distúrbios do despertar (p = 0,162), distúrbios da transição sono-vigília (p = 0,258), sonolência diurna excessiva (p = 0,594) e hiperidrose do sono (p = 0,797). Os parâmetros neurofisiológicos, respiratórios e o movimento periódico das pernas foram semelhantes nos dois grupos. Ansiedade não foi associada à síndrome das pernas inquietas (p = 0,11). Três pacientes com dor musculoesquelética idiopática (11,5%) apresentaram síndrome das pernas inquietas e movimento periódico das pernas simultaneamente, situação ausente no grupo de controle. Conclusão: As adolescentes do sexo feminino com dor musculoesquelética idiopática apresentaram critérios para síndrome das pernas inquietas com mais frequência do que as adolescentes saudáveis. Contudo, não observamos mudanças relevantes nas variáveis do sono objetivas e subjetivas.

The presence of a predator can play a key role in structuring ecological communities through both predation and their indirect threat. Predation risk in aquatic systems is often assessed by prey by chemical cues, either those released by prey or the predator itself. Through an experimental approach, this study sought to evaluate the influence of a chemical signal or the effective presence of a top predator (omnivorous fish) on the variation in the abundance of zooplankton communities, and if interference from these higher levels occurs, trophic cascade over the protoplankton community. The results showed the ability to induce a chemical signal and the perceived threat of predation of (zooplankton microcrustaceans) by predatory fish (Moenkhausia bonita). The presence of chemical cues made it cause to seek refuge from prey, demonstrating the indirect influence of a piscivore on the structure of a trophic cascade and its impacts on communities of protist ciliates, present at lower levels of a chain. CNPq A presença de um predador pode desempenhar um papel fundamental na estruturação de comunidades ecológicas pela predação (efeito consumível) e pela ameaça indireta induzida por eles (efeito não-consumível). O risco de predação em sistemas aquáticos é frequentemente avaliado em presas por meio de sinais químicos, sejam aqueles liberados pelas presas ou pelo próprio predador. Por meio de uma abordagem experimental, buscou-se avaliar a influência do risco de predação (via sinal químico) ou a presença efetiva de um predador de topo (peixe onívoro), na variação da abundância de comunidades zooplanctônicas e se ocorre interferência desses níveis superiores, efeito em cascata trófica sobre a comunidade protoplanctônica. Os resultados mostraram a capacidade de indução de um sinal químico e a percepção na ameaça de predação de (microcrustáceos zooplanctônicos) por peixes predadores (Moenkhausia bonita). Os sinais químicos foram importantes na busca de refúgio das presas, demonstrando a influência indireta de um piscívoro na estruturação de uma cascata tróficas, sendo observados seus impactos até nas comunidades de protistas ciliados, presentes em níveis inferiores de uma cadeia. 30 f. : il. color.

Este trabalho, resultante de pesquisa realizada junto ao Programa de Mestrado Profissional em Educação e Novas Tecnologias da UNINTER, tem por objetivo apresentar uma investigação de revisão de literatura acerca da formação do professor-tutor que atua no curso de Letras na disciplina de Língua Espanhola na modalidade a distância. Para tal, realizamos um estudo sobre sua função social e seu papel na atual conjuntura da sociedade no que diz respeito ao cenário político-pedagógico, a fim de tratar desse sujeito, sua formação e trabalho, bem como dos aspectos que envolvem a atuação pedagógica de tutoria para a EaD em um curso de Língua Espanhola. A pesquisa diagnosticou a ausência de estudos na área de formação do professor-tutor que trabalha com a Língua Espanhola e a falta de cursos específicos de formação para estes profissionais para atender essa disciplina, bem como apresentou uma concepção de professor-tutor a fim de entender qual seu papel dentro de um curso de formação de professores. A pesquisa está ancorada em uma revisão sobre estas temáticas a partir dos teóricos Peters (2003), Chermann e Bonini (2000), Ubry (2010), Martins (1999, 2000, 2003), Shigunov Neto e Maciel (2002), Chimentão (2009), Kumaravadivelu (2001, 2006), Paiva (2005), Fernandes (2008), Resende (2014), entre outros que nos deram suporte teórico e permitiram a construção de novos saberes. Concluímos que a formação do professor-tutor urge pautar-se não só em questões sobre a modalidade a distância, mas, sobretudo, em especificidades de cada disciplina para que este profissional atue com qualidade mediando o processo ensino-aprendizagem.

Aim: We investigated the spatial and temporal patterns of abundance and diversity of planktonic ciliate community, in the last undammed stretch of the Upper Paraná River, Brazil. Methods In order to reach this result, seven field campaigns were performed over two years. Plankton samples were collected from 10 transects through this stretch of the river (230 Km), near the banks and on the center, as well on seven of its tributaries. Results 118 ciliate species were identified, among which the peritrichs were the most abundant while the order Hymenostomatida was the most specious group. We recorded a remarkable increase in abundance and species richness along the river, especially in the rainy period. Moreover, in this period we found an increase in the beta-diversity along the river, which consists in a remarkable distinction among the low, middle and high stretch of the river. In this way, continuous changes in the community structure of planktonic ciliates were evidenced, highlighting the importance of the precipitation and tributaries in the maintenance of the highest regional diversity in the studied area. Conclusion Our results strongly suggest the requirement for conservation actions with the purpose to maintain those tributaries undammed, in order to avoid biotic homogenization processes and the consequent reduction of aquatic biodiversity in this important neotropical ecosystem. Resumo Objetivo: Investigaram-se no presente estudo os padrões espaciais e temporais da abundância e diversidade de espécies da comunidade de ciliados planctônicos, no último trecho livre de barramentos da planície de inundação do alto rio Paraná, Brasil. Métodos Sete amostragens foram realizadas no período de dois anos. Amostras de ciliados foram coletadas ao longo de 10 transectos deste rio (230 Km), nas margens e no centro, bem como em sete de seus tributários. Resultados Cento e dezoito espécies foram identificadas, dentre as quais, a ordem Peritrichia foi a mais abundante e Hymenostomatida a mais especiosa. Foi evidenciado um aumento na abundância e riqueza de espécies ao longo do rio, especialmente no período chuvoso. Além disso, neste período foi registrado um incremento da diversidade beta ao longo do rio, consistindo em uma grande diferença entre os trechos a montante, intermediário e jusante da área de estudo. Assim, a gradativa alteração na estrutura da comunidade de ciliados evidenciou uma grande influência das chuvas e dos tributários na manutenção da alta diversidade regional no trecho estudado. Conclusão Os resultados evidenciam a necessidade de ações de conservação com o intuito de preservar os tributários livres de barramentos, a fim de evitar processos de homogeneização biótica e a consequente redução da biodiversidade aquática neste importante ecossistema neotropical.

textabstractAutosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is a common genetic disorder that frequently results in renal fallure due to progressive cyst development. The major locus, PKD1, maps to 16p13.3. We identified a chromosome translocation associated with ADPKD that disrupts a gene (PBP) encoding a 14 kb transcript in the PKD1 candidate region. Further mutations of the PBP gene were found in PKD1 patients, two deletions (one a de novo event) and a splicing defect, confirming that PBP is the PKD1 gene. This gene is located adjacent to the TSC2 locus in a genomic region that is reiterated more proximally on 16p. The duplicate area encodes three transcripts substantially homologous to the PKD1 transcript. Partial sequence analysis of the PKD1 transcript shows that it encodes a novel protein whose function is at present unknown.

O uso do território, que historicamente se dá de forma seletiva e desigual, revela-nos a face geográfica da desigualdade, dada por organizações territoriais e normatizações políticas. O estudo da formação sócio-espacial brasileira mostra-nos que o uso agrícola de nosso território é revelador destas desigualdades. O processo de modernização do território, intensificado com o último regime militar, garantiu a definitiva transformação do meio geográfico em meio técnico, científico e informacional, atendendo às exigências de um mundo cada vez mais atingido pela globalização. Urbanização, industrialização e modernização agrícola, são marcas deste período. A agricultura torna-se uma atividade científica, fortemente dependente da informação e da pesquisa. Esta agricultura modernizada altera as relações cidade-campo e exige a implantação de sistemas de engenharia complexos que garantam a produção, mas essencialmente a circulação, que neste momento precede a produção propriamente dita. O Estado participa de forma generosa, garantido a implantação de redes de circulação e comunicação. Esta agricultura vincula-se diretamente com o mercado externo, onde tem seus preços e produção determinados, levando o país a uma incomoda posição de subordinação, em um modelo novamente agrário-exportador. Por que, então, os agentes desta agricultura modernizada possuem tamanho poder de fazer política? The use of the territory that historically occurs in a selective and unequal way, reveal us the geographical face of the inequality given by territorial organizations and political norms. The study of the Brazilian social spatial formation show us that the agricultural using of our territory is the revelation of those inequalities. The process of the territory\'s modernization, intensified by the last military regime, guaranteed the definitive transformation of the geographical milieu in the technical scientific and informative milieu, attending to the requirements of a world more and more affected by globalization. Urbanization, industrialization and the modernization of the agriculture are marks of this period. The agriculture turned into a scientific activity, strongly dependant from information and reserach. This modern agriculture alters the relation citycountryside and requires the implementation of complex engineering systems which guarantee the production, but essentially the circulation that at the moment precedes the production. The State participates in it in a generous way, assuring the implementation of circulation\'s and communication\'s nets. This agriculture is directly linked to the external market which there are its prices and prodution determined, leading the country to an uncomfortable position of subordination, in the same agrarian-exporting model. Then, why do the agents of this modern agriculture have got so much power to play politics?

Tuberous sclerosis (TSC) is an autosomal dominant multisystem disorder with loci assigned to chromosomes 9 and 16. Using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE), we identified five TSC-associated deletions at 16p13.3. These were mapped to a 120 kb region that was cloned in cosmids and from which four genes were isolated. One gene, designated TSC2, was interrupted by all five PFGE deletions, and closer examination revealed several intragenic mutations, including one de novo deletion. In this case, Northern blot analysis identified a shortened transcript, while reduced expression was observed in another TSC family, confirming TSC2 as the chromosome 16 TSC gene. The 5.5 kb TSC2 transcript is widely expressed, and its protein product, tuberin, has a region of homology to the GTPase-activating protein GAP3.

An increase in volume and evidence of postvoiding residuals are both encountered in the bladder of diabetic patients and can lead to urinary tract infections and impair renal function. Our objective was to compare the bladder volume of diabetic children and adolescents with that of nondiabetic subjects.We investigated 247 diabetic patients and 228 control subjects between the ages 3 and 21 years. The sonographic examination was performed with a full bladder, after spontaneous voiding, and after forced voiding. Three dimensions were determined: longitudinal, transverse, and anteroposterior transverse. The data were analyzed by the Chi2 test, analysis of variance, the Kruskal-Wallis test, and multivariate regression.The 2 groups were equivalent for age (P =.56) and sex (P =.82). The median full bladder volume was larger in the diabetic group (268 mL) than in the control group (220 mL; P =.0004). Postvoiding residual volume after spontaneous and forced voiding was significantly higher in the diabetic group (P.0001). Multivariate analysis showed that being diabetic (P =.021), older than 9 years (P =.000), and female (P =.036) all influenced full bladder volume.Sonographic evaluation showed incipient bladder dysfunction in diabetic patients. The multivariate analysis showed that the increase in bladder volume had a association with age (9 years), female sex, and mean glycosylated hemoglobin value. Thus, bladder volume evaluation by sonography should be incorporated in the routine assessment of patients with type 1 diabetes.

Peters' anomaly (PA) is a congenital defect of the anterior chamber of the eye. We identified a family in which an apparently balanced chromosomal translocation t(1;7) (q41;p21) was associated with PA. Based on this observation, detailed molecular characterizations of the breakpoint regions and candidate genes were carried out. A candidate gene from each breakpoint was identified: on chromosome 7, histone deacetylase 9 (HDAC9), disrupted by the translocation breakpoint, and on chromosome 1, transforming growth factor-beta2 (TGFbeta2) located 500 kb proximal to the breakpoint. An additional lysophospholipase-like 1 gene (LYPLAL1), localized approximately 200 kb distal to the chromosome 1 breakpoint, was also identified and characterized. Although only the HDAC9 gene is disrupted by the breakpoint, we consider that TGFbeta2 represents the main candidate gene in this family, which is elicited in mice by the Tgfbeta2-null status and by the TGFbeta2-induced cataractus changes in animal models. As an alternative scenario, which is supported by the ability of class II HDACs to mediate extracellular TGF-beta stimuli to core histone deacetylation in promoter-adjacent regions, we propose the hypothesis of digenic inheritance. Inappropriate or inadequate TGFbeta2 expression, together with deficient mediation of these signals at the transcription level, due to an altered HDAC9 isoforms ratio, may also lead to the observed ocular phenotype.
