The X-ray Integral Field Unit (X-IFU) on board the Advanced Telescope for High-ENergy Astrophysics (Athena) will provide spatially resolved high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy from 0.2 to 12 keV, with 5 arc second pixels over a field of view of 5 arc minute equivalent diameter and a spectral resolution of 2.5 eV up to 7 keV. In this paper, we first review the core scientific objectives of Athena, driving the main performance parameters of the X-IFU, namely the spectral resolution, the field of view, the effective area, the count rate capabilities, the instrumental background. We also illustrate the breakthrough potential of the X-IFU for some observatory science goals. Then we briefly describe the X-IFU design as defined at the time of the mission consolidation review concluded in May 2016, and report on its predicted performance. Finally, we discuss some options to improve the instrument performance while not increasing its complexity and resource demands (e.g. count rate capability, spectral resolution). The X-IFU will be provided by an international consortium led by France, The Netherlands and Italy, with further ESA member state contributions from Belgium, Finland, Germany, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and two international partners from the United States and Japan., Comment: 41 pages, 18 Figures

- Abstract
Insecure work has become increasingly frequent in recent decades. It includes insecure employment contracts (contractual arrangements that deviate from permanent, open-ended contracts) as well as perceived job insecurity (an individual perception that one’s job is at risk). While research on insecure work (contractual and perceived) has identified numerous work-related and health-related outcomes, a limited number of studies have investigated if union membership may be a protective factor. The unionization rate among workers with insecure employment contracts is relatively low, despite these contractual arrangements often being characterized by poor working conditions. This chapter reviews previous research to address the following questions: (1) How do insecure workers view union membership and what are their unionization behaviours (joining and leaving)? (2) Can union membership and support buffer the negative effects of insecure work on work-related and health-related outcomes? (3) How can unions represent the interests of insecure workers?

IMMUNOLOGICAL tolerance ,PREECLAMPSIA ,CELL transformation ,PLACENTAL growth factor ,PLACENTA diseases ,CELL receptors ,RNA sequencing ,HISTOCOMPATIBILITY antigens - Abstract
Background: Preeclampsia is a pregnancy-specific disorder that always causes maternal and fetal serious adverse outcome. Disturbances in maternal immune tolerance to embryo at the maternal-fetal interface (MFI) may be associated with preeclampsia onset. Recent studies have revealed the reduced expression pattern of HLA-F at the MFI in preeclampsia, while the mechanism of it mediating maternal fetal immune tolerance has not been revealed. Methods: Single-cell RNA sequencing on placental decidua was performed to reveal the immune disturbances landscape at the MFI in preeclampsia. Human Jar cells and NK-92MI cells were employed to study the role of HLA-F in trophoblasts and lymphocyte. Results: A total of 101,250 cells were classified into 22 cell clusters. Disease-related IGFBP1+SPP1+ extracellular villus trophoblast (EVT) was identified in the preeclamptic placental decidua, accompanied by newly discovered immune cellular dysfunction such as reduced ribosomal functions of NK populations and abnormal expression of antigen-presenting molecules in most cell clusters. Certain genes that are characteristic of the intermediate stage of myeloid or EVT cell differentiation were found to have unexplored but important functions in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia; specifically, we detected enhanced cell cross-talk between IGFBP1+SPP1+ EVT2 or SPP1+M1 cells and their receptor cell populations at the MFI of PE patients compared to controls. With respect to HLA-F, mIF staining confirmed its reduced expression in PE samples compared to controls. Over-expression of HLA-F in Jar cells promoted cell proliferation, invasion, and migration while under-expression had the opposite effect. In NK-92MI cells, over-expression of HLA-F increased the secretion of immunoregulation cytokines such as CSF1 and CCL22, and promoted adaptive NKG2C+NK cell transformation. Conclusions: We revealed the immune disturbance landscape at the MFI in preeclampsia. Our findings regarding cellular heterogeneity and immune cellular dysfunction, as revealed by scRNA-seq, and the function of HLA-F in cells provide new perspectives for further investigation of their roles in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia, and then provide potential new therapeutic target. - Abstract
Non-standard employment includes a variety of contractual arrangements which deviate from permanent, open-ended, full-time work. There are several types of non-standard work, including project work, seasonal work, on-call work, solo self-employment, and temporary agency work. Non-standard workers are typically younger, have lower levels of education, and are more often women in comparison with standard employees. Despite substantial heterogeneity between different types of non-standard work, and research illustrating that the consequences may vary between contract forms, the overall picture suggests that non-standard employment is associated with more negative work-related, safety-related, and health-related outcomes than standard employment. Findings also suggest that these associations may be influenced by factors related to an individual’s preference for their employment contract or the job specifically. Non-standard employment may have implications for the individual, policy-makers, employers, and unions. There is a need for additional research focusing on disentangling various contractual arrangements and investigating how various types of non-standard workers differ in terms of demographic characteristics, work environment conditions, and consequences., This research was carried out within the NOWSTARS research program, with financial support from the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (FORTE Grant No. 2019-01311)., NOWSTARS

- Abstract

Psykologi ,Psychology - Abstract
Sensory processing sensitivity is believed to be a personality trait in up to 20% of individuals, including other species than humans. The trait is associated with higher levels of unpleasant arousal, a higher sensitivity to sensory input, empathy and a deeper level of informational processing in the brain. Sensory processing sensitivity is measured using the Highly Sensitive Person Scale (HSPS), which has been evaluated in several languages. Aron & Aron (1997) who first created the scale found that it was unidimensional, however further research suggests that it consists rather of two or three dimensions. In this study (N= 1024) a Swedish version of the HSPS is evaluated through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, and results support earlier findings of the scale being multidimensional. Regressions between the dimensions of SPS and outcome variables Managerial Support, Creativity and Percieved Stress show that one of SPS dimensions is a strong predictor for percieved stress, and another dimension is a strong predictor for creativity.

embryonic structures - Abstract
The chorionic villi (CV) develops in a low-oxygen environment over the first trimester due to obstruction of the uterine arteries. Between 10-12 gestational weeks (GW), trophoblastic plugs disappear: the resulting increase in O2 levels potentially induces changes in the cellular redox status (Jauniaux et al. 2000), thus modifying the normal development of the placenta. We characterized the redox status of human trophoblasts during the first trimester of pregnancy. First trimester trophoblasts (7-9 and 12-14 GW respectively) were collected (Paris Cochin ethic committee, n°18-05). Villous cytotrophoblasts (VCT) were isolated for primary culture, and villi explants were collected. We observed a significant increase in the gene (p, Journal of International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition & Health, Vol 3, No 3 (2016)

In France, sexual education must be provided in schools three times a year. Literature suggests that, for many years, there has been a significant place of morality in the contents of this education. This work is about the implication of the speaker in his/her speech, and we try to determine the part of subjectivity present in the information he/she delivers in order to propose food for thought to the professionals. This study was conducted with speakers who animate sex education groups during individual interviews and within the context of Focus Group. Speakers do not deny the presence of subjectivity in their speech, and actually regard it as a positive element of their pedagogical approach - but this raises the question of the impact of unconscious subjectivity. Reflecting further about knowledge transmission could be useful for both speakers and health professionals.; En France, l'éducation à la sexualité doit être dispensée dans les établissements scolaires à raison de trois séances par an.

Objective: To provide guidelines for the pelvic clinical exam in gynecology and obstetrics., Material and Methods: A multidisciplinary experts consensus committee of 45 experts was formed, including representatives of patients' associations and users of the health system. The entire guidelines process was conducted independently of any funding. The authors were advised to follow the rules of the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE®) system to guide assessment of quality of evidence. The potential drawbacks of making strong recommendations in the presence of low-quality evidence were emphasized., Methods: The committee studied 40 questions within 4 fields for symptomatic or asymptomatic women (emergency conditions, gynecological consultation, gynecological diseases, obstetrics, and pregnancy). Each question was formulated in a PICO (Patients, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) format and the evidence profiles were produced. The literature review and recommendations were made according to the GRADE® methodology., Results: The experts' synthesis work and the application of the GRADE method resulted in 27 recommendations. Among the formalized recommendations, 17 present a strong agreement, 7 a weak agreement and 3 an expert consensus agreement. Thirteen questions resulted in an absence of recommendation due to lack of evidence in the literature., Conclusions: The need to perform clinical examination in gynecological and obstetrics patients was specified in 27 pre-defined situations based on scientific evidence. More research is required to investigate the benefit in other cases., (Copyright © 2023 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.)
