RIVM rapport:Het RIVM beschrijft hoe de vaccinatiecampagnes tegen het coronavirus in 2022 zijn verlopen in Nederland. Dit is inclusief de eilanden Aruba, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba, Curaçao en Sint Maarten. Vaccinatie tegen COVID-19 begon op 6 januari 2021 met de zogeheten basisserie met meestal twee vaccinaties. Het belangrijkste doel van de vaccinatie was om de kans te verkleinen dat mensen ernstig ziek zouden worden van het virus of erdoor zouden overlijden. In 2022 volgden verschillende campagnes om mensen hier nog beter tegen te beschermen. Zo liep begin 2022 de boostercampagne, die eind 2021 was begonnen, nog door. Vanaf eind februari 2022 startte de campagne voor de herhaalprik voor specifieke risicogroepen, zoals mensen van 60 jaar en ouder. Op 19 september 2022 begon de volgende herhaalprikronde. Hiervoor zijn eerst mensen van 60 jaar en ouder, mensen met een medisch risico en zorgmedewerkers uitgenodigd. Daarna kon iedereen vanaf 12 jaar een herhaalprik halen. Er zijn in 2022 zeven verschillende COVID-19-vaccins gebruikt, gemaakt door vier producenten: BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna, Janssen en Novavax. Aan het eind van 2022 had 80,4 procent van iedereen vanaf 12 jaar de basisserie gekregen (vaccinatiegraad). Voor de booster voor iedereen vanaf 18 jaar was dat 62,1 procent. De vaccinatiegraad van de herhaalprik in het voorjaar voor risicogroepen was bij 60-plussers 52,1 procent. In het najaar was dat 59 procent voor deze leeftijdsgroep. De vaccinaties zijn gegeven door de GGD'en, huisartsen en overige uitvoerders, zoals zorginstellingen. Net als in 2021 hebben meer oudere mensen zich laten vaccineren dan jongeren. RIVM rapport:De Nederlandse maatregelen tijdens de coronacrisis werkten goed om het aantal besmettingen met het virus SARS-Cov-2 te verminderen. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van het RIVM. Dit waren maatregelen die ervoor zorgden dat mensen het virus zo min mogelijk aan elkaar doorgaven. Bijvoorbeeld door anderhalve meter afstand van elkaar te houden en de sluiting van scholen. De resultaten van dit onderzoek helpen het RIVM om bij een volgende grote ziekte-uitbraak snel te adviseren over maatregelen en beleid.? Hoe goed de contactmaatregelen werkten, is niet per losse maatregel te onderzoeken. Dat komt omdat er vaak meerdere tegelijk golden. Wel kun je kijken naar de effecten van verschillende pakketten van maatregelen. Voor Nederland bleek: hoe zwaarder het pakket aan maatregelen als geheel, hoe effectiever. Ook is het moment waarop de maatregelen ingingen heel belangrijk. Hoe sneller ze na het begin van de eerste coronagolf werden ingevoerd, hoe meer sterfgevallen zijn voorkomen. ? Uit het onderzoek komen een aantal adviezen over maatregelpakketten. Een daarvan is om bepaalde gegevens van besmette personen te verzamelen. Zoals wie de meest waarschijnlijke besmetter is, wat het meest waarschijnlijke moment van de besmetting is en de eerste ziektedag. Met deze informatie kan worden bepaald hoeveel tijd er zit tussen besmet raken en ziek worden. En hoe lang het duurt voordat een besmet persoon iemand anders besmet. Een ander advies is om zo snel mogelijk goed inzicht te krijgen hoe vaak mensen contact hebben met anderen in een samenleving en hoe mensen zich verplaatsen. Item does not contain fulltext, During 6 weeks in February-March 2021, the Dutch municipal health service Utrecht studied the epidemiological effects on test incidence and the detection of acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) with mass testing (MT). During MT, inhabitants of Bunschoten could repeatedly test regardless of symptoms and as often as desired at the close-by test facilities in the municipality. Data from the regular COVID-19 registration was used for analysis. In Bunschoten, MT caused a significant increase in test incidence and an immediate increase in the number of detected active infections, in contrast to a stabilisation in the rest of the province of Utrecht. Age distribution of test incidence shifted to the older population in Bunschoten during MT. During MT, there was a 6.8 percentage point increase in detected asymptomatic cases, a 0.4 percentage point increase in pre-symptomatic cases and a decrease of 0.5 days between onset of symptoms and test date. This study has shown that MT increases test incidence and helps to obtain a more complete view of the presence of SARS-CoV-2 in a community, which can be useful in specific situations with a defined target group or goal. However, the question remains open whether the use of MT is proportionate to the overall gain.
