Abstract

The relationships between the host structure of iron-chloranilate layers and the intercalated charged guests are described. Study shows that hydrogen-bond supported anionic layers based on iron-chloranilate mononuclear complexes can be used as inorganic hosts for the intercalation of guest cations to construct new types of multilayered inorganic-organic hybrid materials.

Abstract

Painful diabetic neuropathy causes allodynia and does not respond to commonly used analgesics such as non-steroidal anti-infl ammatory drugs or opioids at doses below those producing disruptive side eff ects. In the present study, we examined the effect of P2X receptor antagonists, which are known to modulate the pain pathway, on mechanical allodynia in streptozotocin（ STZ）-induced diabetic mice. The paw withdrawal frequency measured by von Frey fi laments, began to signifi cantly increase 5 days after STZ injection and was maintained for more than 14 days. Intrathecal administration of P2X receptor antagonists （PPADS and TNP-ATP） inhibited the mechanical allodynia in diabetic mice. Next, the levels of mRNA for the P2X receptors in DRG in diabetic mice were measured using quantitative real-time PCR. The levels of P2X2 and P2X3 receptors mRNA were signifi cantly increased in diabetic mice at 14 days after the intravenous injection of STZ. Furthermore, we investigate the localization of glial cells and neuron in spinal cord of diabetic mice. However, microglia, astrocyte and neuron were not changed in spinal cord. These results suggest that the upregulation of P2X2, P2X3 and/or P2X2/3 receptor in DRG neurons is associated with mechanical allodynia in STZ-induced diabetic mice., 弘前医学. 61(Suppl.), 2010, p.S255-S261

42. Muscarinic M1receptors stimulated by intracerebroventricular administration of McN-A-343 reduces the nerve injury-induced mechanical hypersensitivity via GABABreceptors rather than GABAAreceptors in mice

Abstract

Cholinergic neurons play an important role in the higher functions of the brain, such as the memory, cognition, and nociception. However, the exact mechanism behind how the stimulation of all the muscarinic M1receptors in the entire brain results in the alleviation of partial sciatic nerve ligation (PSNL)-induced mechanical hypersensitivity has not been investigated. Thus, we examined which subtype of GABA receptor was involved in the alleviation of PSNL-induce mechanical hypersensitivity produced by an intracerebroventricular administration of a muscarinic M1receptor agonist, McN-A-343. Administering a GABAAreceptor antagonist, bicuculline, resulted in no changes to the McN-A-343-induced anti-hypersensitivity in PSNL mice whereas a GABABreceptor antagonist, CGP35348, dose-dependently inhibited the anti-hypersensitivity. Furthermore, CGP35348 increased mechanical hypersensitivity in naïve mice, and the hypersensitivity was blocked by NMDA receptor antagonists, MK-801 and D-AP5. Additionally, muscarinic M1receptors colocalized with GABAB1receptors and an NMDA receptor subunit, GluN2A, in a large region of the brain. Consequently, these results suggest that the activation of muscarinic M1receptors in the entire brain reduces nerve injury-induced mechanical hypersensitivity via the GABABreceptors, and the activation of the GABABreceptors regulates glutamatergic transmission via NMDA receptors.

Abstract

Electron drift mobilities μe and electron–ion recombination rate constants kr have been measured by the analysis of transient current induced with the irradiation of an x-ray pulse on gaseous or liquid krypton in a cell as a function of external electric field strength. The effects of an external dc electric field on kr up to 12 mTd (1 Td=10-17 V cm2/molecule) in liquid and 63 mTd in gas have been examined. The observed kr values in both liquid and gas phases have been found to be much smaller than those calculated by the reduced Debye equation. The deviation has been compared with recent theoretical studies, leading to the conclusion that recombination in liquid and gaseous krypton is not the usual diffusion-controlled reaction. The kr values in the gas phase increase with an external dc electric field up to a critical electric field strength below which μe values are nearly constant, and above which both kr and μe values descrease with further increase in the electric field for both gaseous and liquid phases.
