Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a risk factor for embolic stroke, and many nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) patients have concomitant CKD. Anticoagulation therapy can be challenging in CKD due to increased bleeding risk, and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) may be a promising alternative., Objective: This systematic review aimed to consolidate current evidence on the safety and effectiveness of transcatheter LAAO in patients with CKD and end-stage renal disease (ESRD)., Methods: Medline, Cochrane, and Embase databases were searched from inception to September 2, 2022. We conducted a meta-analysis if an outcome was evaluated in at least two similar studies., Results: We included 15 studies with 77,780 total patients. Of the 15 studies, 11 had a cohort design (five prospective and six retrospective), and four were case series. Patients with CKD were older and had a higher prevalence of comorbidities than non-CKD patients. The two groups did not differ in procedural failure rate, vascular complications, or pericardial tamponade. CKD patients exhibited higher odds of in-hospital acute kidney injury (AKI) and bleeding, longer-term bleeding, and mortality than those without CKD. The risk of in-hospital and longer-term cardioembolic events was similar between CKD and non-CKD populations (odds ratio = 1.01 [95% CI 0.70-1.15] and 1.05 [95% CI 0.55-2.00], respectively). Patients with ESRD had higher odds of in-hospital mortality and cardioembolic events than non-ESRD patients, with no differences in risk of pericardial tamponade., Conclusions: Based on observational studies, LAAO may be an effective option to prevent cardioembolic events in CKD. However, CKD patients may have higher odds of AKI and in-hospital and long-term bleeding and mortality. The adverse clinical outcomes observed in CKD patients may be attributed to this population's high burden of comorbidities, especially among those with ERSD, rather than the LAAO procedure itself. To ensure maximum clinical benefit, careful patient selection, management, and surveillance involving multidisciplinary teams are essential for CKD patients undergoing LAAO., (© 2023. Background: Limited data are available on transcatheter patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure outcomes in the elderly., Aims: Through this study, we aimed to determine the incidence and predictors of adverse events (recurrent cerebrovascular events [CVE] and atrial fibrillation [AF]) post-PFO closure in older patients with cryptogenic events., Methods: This multicentre international study included patients over 60 years undergoing PFO closure for cryptogenic thromboembolic events. A dedicated database compiled baseline, procedural, and follow-up data. Competing risk and adjusted outcome predictor analyses were conducted., Results: A total of 689 patients were included (median age 65 years, 41.2% female, mean Risk of Paradoxical Embolism [RoPE] score 4.5). The procedural success rate was 99.4%. After a median follow-up of 2 (interquartile range 1-5) years, 66 patients (9.6%) had died. CVE and stroke rates were 1.21 and 0.55 per 100 patient-years, respectively. Diabetes (hazard ratio [HR] 3.89, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.67-9.07; p=0.002) and atrial septal aneurysm (ASA; HR 5.25, 95% CI: 1.56-17.62; p=0.007) increased the CVE risk. New-onset AF occurred at a rate of 3.30 per 100 patient-years, with 51.3% within one month post-procedure. Older age (HR 1.05 per year, 95% CI: 1.00-1.09; p=0.023) and the absence of hypertension (HR 2.04, 95% CI: 1.19-3.57; p=0.010) were associated with an increased risk of AF., Conclusions: Older patients undergoing PFO closure had a relatively low rate of CVE and new-onset AF after a median follow-up of 2 years. The presence of diabetes, ASA, and a more advanced age determined an increased risk of adverse clinical events. These factors may be considered in the clinical decision-making process regarding PFO closure in this challenging population.

Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is the most common form of cyanotic congenital heart disease. Palliative procedures, either surgical or transcatheter, aim to improve oxygen saturation, affording definitive procedures at a later stage. Transcatheter interventions have been used before and after surgical palliative or definitive repair in children and adults. Background: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has become a viable alternative to palliation in patients with severe aortic stenosis. We compared general anesthesia to conscious sedation for TAVI procedures with respect to post operative morbidity, hospital length of stay, and financial burden., Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of prospectively collected data in patients undergoing transfemoral TAVI procedures from 2012 to 2017. Patients were matched based on age and sex and classed into either general anesthesia or conscious sedation groups respectively. Conscious sedation was provided with a dexmedetomidine infusion, and patients in general anesthesia group received a standard induction, tracheal intubation, and maintenance with sevoflurane. The hospital case costs were compared between the two groups before and after adjustment for inflation., Results: We matched 124 pairs for a total of 248 patients. Both groups were similar with respect to demographic data, past medical history, medications, and intraoperative characteristics. There was no difference in postoperative morbidity and mortality between the two groups. Congenital tricuspid valve stenosis is extremely rare. We describe 2 cases of patients with adult congenital heart disease with hypoplastic tricuspid valve annulus who were symptomatic from annular- and leaflet-level tricuspid stenosis. The patients underwent transcatheter balloon valvuloplasty with good clinical outcomes. An extensive literature review and analysis of various procedural strategies suggests that percutaneous balloon valvuloplasty may be a reasonable therapeutic choice as a first-line therapy or when open surgical repair is associated with prohibitively high mortality. This procedure can be performed either as a destination therapy or as a bridge to valve replacement.

Background: Mitral valve-in-valve (ViV) is associated with suboptimal hemodynamics and rare left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) obstruction., Objectives: This study aimed to determine whether device position and asymmetry are associated with these outcomes., Methods: Patients undergoing SAPIEN 3 (Edwards Lifesciences) mitral ViV included in the VIVID (Valve-in-Valve International Data) Registry were studied. Clinical endpoints are reported according to Mitral Valve Academic Research Consortium definitions. Residual mitral valve stenosis was defined as mean gradient ≥5 mm Hg. Depth of implantation (percentage of transcatheter heart valve [THV] atrial to the bioprosthesis ring) and asymmetry (ratio of 2 measures of THV height) were evaluated., Results: A total of 222 patients meeting the criteria for optimal core lab evaluation were studied (age 74 ± 11.6 years; 61.9% female; STS score = 8.3 ± 7.1). Mean asymmetry was 6.2% ± 4.4%. Mean depth of implantation was 19.0% ± 10.3% atrial. Residual stenosis was common (50%; mean gradient 5.0 ± 2.6 mm Hg). LVOT obstruction occurred in 7 cases (3.2%). Implantation depth was not a predictor of residual stenosis (OR: 1.19 [95% CI: 0.92-1.55]; P = 0.184), but more atrial implantation was protective against LVOT obstruction (0.7% vs 7.1%; P = 0.009; per 10% atrial, OR: 0.48 [95% CI: 0.24-0.98]; P = 0.044). Asymmetry was found to be an independent predictor of residual stenosis (per 10% increase, OR: 2.30 [95% CI: 1.10-4.82]; P = 0.027)., Conclusions: Valve stenosis is common after mitral ViV. Asymmetry was associated with residual stenosis. Depth of implantation on its own was not associated with residual stenosis but was associated with LVOT obstruction. Different methodologies have been used to assess the role of AV calcification (AVC) on TAVI outcomes. This systematic review aims to describe the burden of AVC, synthesize the different methods of calcium score quantification, and evaluate the impact of AVC on outcomes after TAVI. We included studies of TAVI patients who had reported AV calcium scoring by contrast-enhanced multidetector CT and the Agatston method. The impact of calcification on TAVI outcomes without restrictions on follow-up time or outcome type was evaluated. Results were reported descriptively, and a meta-analysis was conducted when feasible. Sixty-eight articles were included, with sample sizes ranging from 23 to 1425 patients. Contrast-enhanced calcium scoring was reported in 30 studies, calcium volume score in 28 studies, and unique scoring methods in two. All studies with calcium volume scores had variable protocols, but most utilized a modified Agatston method with variable attenuation threshold values of 300-850 HU. Eight studies used the Agatston method, with the overall mean AV calcium score in studies published from 2010 to 2012 of 3342.9 AU [95%CI: 3150.4; 3535.4, I2 ​= ​0%]. The overall mean score was lower and heterogenous in studies published from 2014 to 2020 (2658.9 AU [95% CI: 2517.3; 2800.5, I2 ​= ​79%]. Most studies reported a positive association between calcium burden and increased risk of adverse outcomes, including implantation of permanent pacemaker (7/8 studies), paravalvular leak (13/13 studies), and risk of aortic rupture (2/2 studies). The natural history of an unrepaired isolated partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection(s) (PAPVC) and the absence of other congenital anomalies remains unclear. This study aimed to expand the understanding of the clinical outcomes in this population. Isolated PAPVC with an intact atrial septum is a relatively uncommon condition. There is the perception that patients with isolated PAPVC are usually asymptomatic, that the lesion generally has a limited hemodynamic impact, and that surgical repair is rarely justified. For this retrospective study, we reviewed our institutional database to identify patients with either 1 or 2 anomalous pulmonary veins that drain a portion of but not the complete ipsilateral lung. Patients with previous surgical cardiac repair, coexistence of other congenital cardiac anomalies that would result in either pretricuspid or post-tricuspid loading of the right ventricle (RV), or scimitar syndrome were excluded. We reviewed their clinical course over the follow-up period. We identified 53 patients; 41 with a single and 12 with 2 anomalous PAPVC. A total of 30 patients (57%) were men, with a mean age at the latest clinic visit of 47 ± 19 years (18 to 84 years). Turner syndrome (6 of 53, 11.3%), bicuspid aortic valve (6 of 53, 11.3%), and coarctation of the aorta (5 of 53, 9.4%) were commonly associated anomalies. A single anomalous left upper lobe vein was the most commonly identified variation. More than half of the patients were asymptomatic. Cardiopulmonary exercise test demonstrated a maximal oxygen consumption of 73 ± 20% expected (36 to 120). Transthoracic echocardiography demonstrated a mean RV basal diameter of 4.4 ± 0.8 cm, RV systolic pressure of 38 ± 13 (16 to 84) mm Hg. A total of 8 patients (14.8%) had ≥moderate tricuspid regurgitation. Cardiac magnetic resonance in 42 patients demonstrated a mean RV end-diastolic volume index of 122 ±3 0 ml/m 2 (66 to 188 ml/m 2 ), of which in 8 (14.8%), it was >150 ml/m 2 . Magnetic resonance imaging-based Qp:Qs was 1.6 ± 0.3. A total of 5 patients (9.3%) had established pulmonary hypertension (mean pulmonary artery pressure ≥25 mm Hg). In conclusion, isolated single or dual anomalous pulmonary venous connection is not necessarily a benign congenital anomaly because a proportion of patients develop pulmonary hypertension and/or RV dilation. Background: Data regarding the safety and long-term effectiveness of percutaneous closure of paravalvular leak (PVL) after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) are scarce., Aims: This study aims to present a large multicentre international experience of percutaneous post-TAVI PVL closure., Methods: All patients who underwent percutaneous post-TAVI PVL closure in 14 hospitals across Europe and North America between January 2018 and October 2022 were included., Results: Overall, 45 patients (64% male) were enrolled. The median age was 80 years (75-84). Among them, 67% and 33% had self-expanding and balloon-expandable valve implantations, respectively. Baseline post-TAVI PVL was severe in 67% of cases and moderate in the rest. The time from index TAVI to PVL closure procedure was 16.1 (8.7-34.8) months. Most patients were in NYHA Class III and IV (73%) before the procedure, and 40% had referred hospitalisations for heart failure between TAVI and the PVL closure procedure. Successful PVL closure was achieved in 94%, reducing regurgitation to ≤mild in 91% and moderate in the rest. The Amplatzer Valvular Plug III was the most frequently used device (27 cases), followed by the Amplatzer Valvular Plug 4. The incidence of severe adverse events was 11%. None of the patients died during the index hospitalisation. During long-term follow-up (21.7±16.2 months), the all-cause mortality rate was 14%, and patients presented improvement in functional status and a significant reduction in the rate of hospitalisation for heart failure (from 40% to 6%)., Conclusions: Percutaneous PVL closure is a feasible and safe option for treating post-TAVI leaks. Successful PVL reduction to mild or less could be associated with acute and long-lasting improvements in clinical outcomes.

Background: Patients with thrombophilia are underrepresented in studies evaluating outcomes after closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO). Real-world data on long term outcomes in this population are very limited., Objectives: This study compared outcomes in patients with and without thrombophilia undergoing PFO closure, using data from a large, clinical database linked to population-based databases., Methods: This retrospective cohort study included consecutive patients who had a transcatheter PFO closure and had preprocedural thrombophilia screening. Data from a retrospective, clinical registry were linked to population-based administrative databases in Ontario Canada to evaluate outcomes. Outcomes were reported as rates per 100 person-years and compared using Poisson regression., Results: We included 669 patients, with a mean age of 56.4 years, 97.9% of whom underwent PFO closure for a cryptogenic stroke. Thrombophilia was diagnosed among 174 (26.0%), of which 86% had inherited mutations. In-hospital, procedural complications were observed in 3.1% of patients with no difference by thrombophilia status. Similarly, no differences were observed in 30-day emergency department visits and readmissions. Over the median follow-up of 11.6 years, the most common adverse outcome was new-onset atrial fibrillation (1.0 per 100 person-years; 95% CI: 0.8-1.2), followed by recurrent cerebrovascular events (0.8 per 100 person-years; 95% CI: 0.6-1.1) with no differences between the groups (P > 0.05)., Conclusions: After PFO closure, no differences were observed in long-term adverse outcomes between patients with and without thrombophilia. Background: Functional mitral regurgitation (MR) is an important clinical consideration in patients with heart failure. Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) has emerged as a useful therapeutic tool for patients with chronic heart failure, however the role of TEER in patients with cardiogenic shock (CS) and MR has not yet been studied in a randomized trial. The Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair for Inotrope Dependent Cardiogenic Shock (CAPITAL MINOS) trial was therefore designed to determine if TEER improves clinical outcomes in the CS population., Methods and Design: The CAPITAL MINOS trial is an open-label, multi-center randomized clinical trial comparing TEER to medical therapy in patients with CS and MR. A total of 144 patients with Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) class C or D CS and at least 3+ MR will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to TEER or medical therapy alone. The primary outcome will be a composite of in-hospital all-cause mortality, cardiac transplantation, implantation of durable left ventricular assist device, or discharge on palliative inotropic therapy. Patients will be followed for the duration of their index hospitalization for the primary outcome. Atrial septal defect is a common congenital heart disease, producing a left-to-right shunt in the atrial septum; the current preferred treatment is transcatheter device closure. The aim is to conduct a systematic review to synthesize information on the comparative effectiveness and safety of atrial septal defect closure devices. The methods used: a comprehensive search of Ovid MEDLINE®, Embase, and Cochrane Central databases was conducted. Studies comparing procedural and follow-up outcomes of atrial septal defect devices were included. Network meta-analyses were conducted to generate direct and indirect evidence for comparative effectiveness and safety outcomes between devices. The results are as follows: Twelve studies met our inclusion criteria and were compared in network meta-analyses. The meta-analyses evaluated contemporary devices: the AMPLATZER Septal Occluder; the GORE CARDIOFORM Septal Occluder; the Figulla Flexible II Occluder; the CeraFlex Septal Occluder; and the HELEX Septal Occluder. These studies represented 3998 patients. The primary safety and efficacy outcomes were device embolization and follow-up residual shunt, respectively. Secondary clinical outcomes included procedural success and major and minor complications. No differences were found between devices in terms of device embolization and secondary clinical outcomes. Follow-up residual shunt was higher with the HELEX Septal Occluder compared with the AMPLATZER Septal Occluder (odds ratio 2.92, 95% confidence interval 1.12-7.61). To conclude: although most outcomes were similar between devices, evidence was largely based on observational low-quality studies. Background: Individuals with patent foramen ovale (PFO) routinely undergo transcatheter closure (TC) for secondary prevention of recurrent stroke. However, some evidence suggests that TC may increase the risk of new-onset atrial fibrillation (AF)., Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the risk of new-onset AF following PFO closure and to explore predictors of AF development., Methods: We created a retrospective cohort of all Ontarians over 18 years of age who received TC between October 2002 and December 2017 using administrative health data and the CorHealth cardiac registry. Poisson regression determined event rates of AF and secondary outcomes such as stroke and mortality per 1000 person-years. A multivariable Cox proportional hazards model identified predictors of new-onset AF following TC., Results: Of 1533 patients, 96 (6.26%) developed new-onset AF following PFO closure, over average follow-up time of 8.2 years. Age >60 years (hazard ratio [HR] 2.82; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.76-4.51; P <.001) and diabetes (HR 2.49; 95% CI 1.48-4.18; P <.001) were statistically significant, independent predictors of AF according to the Cox model., Conclusions: The incidence of new-onset AF after PFO closure was relatively low. Patients with congenital heart disease now live well into adulthood because of advances in surgical techniques, improvements in medical management, and the development of novel therapeutic agents. As patients grow older into adults with congenital heart disease, many require catheter-based interventions for the treatment of residual defects, sequelae of their initial repair or palliation, or acquired heart disease. The past 3 decades have witnessed an exponential growth in both the type and number of transcatheter interventions in patients with congenital heart disease. With improvements in medical technology and device design, including the use of devices designed for the treatment of acquired valve stenosis or regurgitation, patients who previously would have required open-heart surgery for various conditions can now undergo percutaneous cardiac catheter-based procedures. Many of these procedures are complex and occur in complex patients who are best served by a multidisciplinary team. This review aims to highlight some of the currently available transcatheter interventional procedures for adults with congenital heart disease, the clinical outcomes of each intervention, and any special considerations so that the reader may better understand both the procedure and patients with adult congenital heart disease., (© 2022 The Author(s).)

Background: Early hospital ( < 48 hours) discharge following transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is an increasingly adopted practice; however, data on the safety of such an approach among patients residing in North Ontario, including remote and medically underserved areas, are lacking., Methods: This retrospective study included patients who underwent TAVI in Sudbury, Ontario. The safety of early discharge after implementation of the Vancouver 3M (multidisciplinary, multimodality, but minimalist) clinical pathway was assessed. The primary endpoint was 30-day mortality. Resource utilization before vs after 3M clinical pathway implementation was also compared., Results: A total of 291 patients who underwent TAVI between 2012 and 2021 were included in the study. One in-hospital death (0.6%) occurred after the 3M clinical pathway implementation, with no mortality observed beyond hospital discharge. Eleven patients (6.7%) required rehospitalization within 30 days. The need for mechanical ventilation and surgical vascular cut-down declined from 100% and 97%, respectively, at baseline, to 6% and 2%. The number of patients receiving TAVI on a given procedural day increased from 2 to 3 patients. The median post-TAVI hospital length of stay decreased from 5 days (2-6 days) to 1 day (1-3 days) after 3M clinical pathway implementation., Conclusions: Following TAVI, early discharge of selected patients residing in Northern Ontario, including rural areas, using the Vancouver 3M clinical pathway was associated with favourable outcomes, short length of stay, and more-efficient resource utilization. Background: Patent foramen ovale (PFO) is a common congenital cardiac abnormality. Risk of stroke increases perioperatively, but the association of PFO with perioperative stroke risk remains unclear. We conducted a systematic review to inform the risk of perioperative stroke in patients with PFO undergoing surgery., Methods: Embase, MEDLINE, and Cochrane databases were searched from inception to January 2020. We described methods used for establishing PFO and perioperative stroke diagnosis. We conducted meta-analyses to obtain pooled estimates for risk of stroke in patients with and without PFO in different surgical populations., Results: Ten articles with a total of 20,858,011 patients met the eligibility criteria. Prevalence of PFO ranged from 0.06% to 1.4% based on International Classification of Diseases (ICD)-code diagnosis and from 10.4% to 40.4% based on echocardiography diagnosis. Perioperative stroke was observed in 0% to 25% of patients with PFO, and 0% to 16.7% without PFO. Studies that used echocardiography to diagnose PFO found no association between PFO and perioperative stroke. Studies that used ICD codes found strong association but were highly heterogeneous. PFO was not associated with a risk of perioperative stroke in cardiac and transplantation surgeries. While the adjusted odds ratios for stroke were substantial for orthopaedic, general, genitourinary, neurologic, and thoracic surgeries (with PFO status established based on ICD codes), data heterogeneity and quality of data create significant uncertainty., Conclusions: In conclusion, PFO is likely a risk factor for perioperative stroke in selected types of surgeries. Background: Complications and need for reinterventions are frequent in patients with pulmonary valve stenosis (PVS). Pulmonary regurgitation is common, but no data are available on outcome after pulmonary valve replacement (PVR)., Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 215 patients with PVS who underwent surgical valvotomy or balloon valvuloplasty. Incidence and predictors of reinterventions and complications were identified. Right ventricle (RV) remodelling after PVR was also assessed., Results: After a median follow-up of 38.6 (30.9-49.4) years, 93% of the patients were asymptomatic. Thirty-nine patients (18%) had at least one PVR. Associated right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) intervention and the presence of an associated defect were independent predictors of reintervention (OR: 4.1 (95% CI 1.5 to 10.8) and OR: 3.6 (95% CI 1.9 to 6.9), respectively). Cardiovascular death occurred in 2 patients, and 29 patients (14%) had supraventricular arrhythmia. Older age at the time of first intervention and the presence of an associated defect were independent predictors of complications (OR: 1.0 (95% CI 1.0 to 1.1) and OR: 2.1 (95% CI 1.1 to 4.2), respectively). In 16 patients, cardiac magnetic resonance before and after PVR was available. The optimal cut-off values for RV volume normalisation were 193 mL/m 2 for RV end-diastolic volume indexed(sensitivity 80%, specificity 64%) and 100 mL/m 2 for RV end-systolic volume indexed(sensitivity 80%, specificity 56%)., Conclusions: Previous RVOT intervention, presence of an associated defect and older age at the time of first repair were predictors of outcome. Objective: The ostium secundum atrial septal defect (ASD) is among the most common congenital cardiac anomalies diagnosed in adulthood. A known complication of transcatheter ASD closure is the development of new-onset atrial fibrillation and flutter (AFi/AFl). These arrhythmias confer an increased risk of postoperative stroke, thrombus formation and systemic emboli. This systematic review examines the burden of de novo AFi/AFl in adults following transcatheter closure and seeks to identify risk factors for AFi/AFl development., Methods: Studies were identified by a search of MEDLINE, EMBASE and Cochrane databases from inception until 29 April 2020. A meta-analysis of AFi/AFl incidence was performed using a random-effects model., Results: A total of 31 studies met inclusion criteria, comprising 4788 adult patients without a history of AFi/AFl. Twenty-three studies were included in quantitative synthesis and demonstrated an overall incidence rate of 1.82 patients per 100 person-years of follow-up (I 2 =83%). In studies that enrolled only patients ≥60 years old, the incidence was 5.21 patients per 100 person-years (I 2 =0%). Studies with follow-up duration ≤2 years reported an incidence of 4.05 per 100 person-years (I 2 =55%) compared with a rate of 1.19 per 100 person-years (I 2 =85%) for studies with follow-up duration >2 years., Conclusions: The incidence of new-onset AFi/AFl is relatively low following transcatheter closure of secundum ASDs. The rate of de novo AFi/AFl, however, was significantly higher in elderly patients. Interventions in adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD) focus on surgical and percutaneous interventions in light of rapidly evolving ACHD clinical practice. To bring rigour to our process and amplify the cumulative nature of evidence ACHD care we used the ADAPTE process; we systematically adjudicated, updated, and adapted existing guidelines by Canadian, American, and European cardiac societies from 2010 to 2020. We applied this to interventions related to right and left ventricular outflow obstruction, tetralogy of Fallot, coarctation, aortopathy associated with bicuspid aortic valve, atrioventricular canal defects, Ebstein anomaly, complete and congenitally corrected transposition, and patients with the Fontan operation. In addition to tables indexed to evidence, clinical flow diagrams are included for each lesion to facilitate a practical approach to clinical decision-making. Excluded are recommendations for pacemakers, defibrillators, and arrhythmia-directed interventions covered in separate designated documents. Similarly, where overlap occurs with other guidelines for valvular interventions, reference is made to parallel publications. There is a paucity of high-level quality of evidence in the form of randomized clinical trials to support guidelines in ACHD. We accounted for this in the wording of the strength of recommendations put forth by our national and international experts. As data grow on long-term follow-up, we expect that the evidence driving clinical practice will become increasingly granular. These recommendations are meant to be used to guide dialogue between clinicians, interventional cardiologists, surgeons, and patients making complex decisions relative to ACHD interventions., (Copyright © 2021 Canadian Cardiovascular Society.
