2. Multiple Key-value Strategy in Recommendation Systems Incorporating Large Language Model

Abstract

Recommendation system (RS) plays significant roles in matching users information needs for Internet applications, and it usually utilizes the vanilla neural network as the backbone to handle embedding details. Recently, the large language model (LLM) has exhibited emergent abilities and achieved great breakthroughs both in the CV and NLP communities. Thus, it is logical to incorporate RS with LLM better, which has become an emerging research direction. Although some existing works have made their contributions to this issue, they mainly consider the single key situation (e.g. historical interactions), especially in sequential recommendation. The situation of multiple key-value data is simply neglected. This significant scenario is mainstream in real practical applications, where the information of users (e.g. age, occupation, etc) and items (e.g. title, category, etc) has more than one key. Therefore, we aim to implement sequential recommendations based on multiple key-value data by incorporating RS with LLM. In particular, we instruct tuning a prevalent open-source LLM (Llama 7B) in order to inject domain knowledge of RS into the pre-trained LLM. Since we adopt multiple key-value strategies, LLM is hard to learn well among these keys. Thus the general and innovative shuffle and mask strategies, as an innovative manner of data argument, are designed. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach, extensive experiments are conducted on the popular and suitable dataset MovieLens which contains multiple keys-value. Abstract

To develop highly sensitive, stable and repeatable surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates is crucial for analytical detection, which is a challenge for traditional metallic structures. Herein, by taking advantage of the high surface activity of 1T' transition metal telluride, we have fabricated high-density gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) that are spontaneously in-situ prepared on the 1T' MoTe2 atomic layers via a facile method, forming a plasmonic-2D material hybrid SERS substrate. This AuNP formation is unique to the 1T' phase, which is repressed in 2H MoTe2 with less surface activity. The hybrid structure generates coupling effects of electromagnetic and chemical enhancements, as well as excellent molecule adsorption, leading to the ultrasensitive (4*10^-17 M) and reproducible detection. Additionally, the immense fluorescence and photobleaching phenomena are mostly avoided. Flexible SERS tapes have been demonstrated in practical applications. Our approach facilitates the ultrasensitive SERS detection by a facile method, as well as the better mechanistic understanding of SERS beyond plasmonic effects.

Abstract

Pharmacokinetics (PK) is the study of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) processes of a drug. Understanding PK properties is essential for drug development and precision medication. In this review we provided an overview of recent research on PK with focus on the following aspects: (1) an update on drug-metabolizing enzymes and transporters in the determination of PK, as well as advances in xenobiotic receptors and noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) in the modulation of PK, providing new understanding of the transcriptional and posttranscriptional regulatory mechanisms that result in inter-individual variations in pharmacotherapy; (2) current status and trends in assessing drug-drug interactions, especially interactions between drugs and herbs, between drugs and therapeutic biologics, and microbiota-mediated interactions; (3) advances in understanding the effects of diseases on PK, particularly changes in metabolizing enzymes and transporters with disease progression; (4) trends in mathematical modeling including physiologically-based PK modeling and novel animal models such as CRISPR/Cas9-based animal models for DMPK studies; (5) emerging non-classical xenobiotic metabolic pathways and the involvement of novel metabolic enzymes, especially non-P450s. Existing challenges and perspectives on future directions are discussed, and may stimulate the development of new research models, technologies, and strategies towards the development of better drugs and improved clinical practice.

23. 200 V All-SiC Floating Gate Driver Process Platform on 4H-SiC P-epi/N+ Substate for High-Temperature Applications

Abstract

This brief reports a 200 V all-SiC integration process platform integrating low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) devices, such as LV nMOS, LV pMOS, resistor, capacitor, HV lateral DMOS (LDMOS), and HV diode. A P-buffer layer is adopted to increase vertical blocking voltage. The high-temperature tolerance of fabricated HV and LV devices are evaluated. Based on the LV and HV devices, a 200 V monolithic all-SiC half-bridge driver composed of a low-side drive circuit and a high-side drive circuit is designed in this brief. Thanks to HV LDMOS and HV diode, the LV drive signal can be converted to an HV signal through the level-shift circuit, which realizes a high-side floating gate driver. Combined with a low-side CMOS driver, a 200 V half-bridge driver operating at 200 ° C has been verified based on this SiC platform.

33. Trace detection of canine distemper virus based on Michelson‐interferometer sensing probe.

Abstract

A single‐mode‐fiber (SMF)‐multimode‐fiber (MMF)‐tri‐core‐fiber (TCF) Michelson probe structure is proposed for trace detection of canine distemper virus (CDV). One end of the TCF is cut flat and fused with the multimode fiber, and the other end is coated with a silver film to enhance the reflection, and an optic‐fiber sensing probe with SMF‐MMF‐TCF structure is obtained. The (PDDA/PSS)3 multilayer film is modified on the surface of the fiber by layer‐by‐layer self‐assembly method as a polyelectrolyte binder to immobilize CDV antibodies to form a (PDDA/PSS)3/CDV antibody composite membrane for specific detection of CDV antigens. The response‐recovery test of the sensor is performed to verify its repeatability. The detection limit, the sensitivity, and the linear fitting degree for CDV antigen are 0.1236 pg/mL, 1.1776 dB/(pg/mL), and 0.9899, respectively. 43. Leakage Performance of 4H-SiC CMOS Logic Circuits After Gamma Irradiation

Abstract

In this letter, the leakage performances of 4H-SiC CMOS devices, as well as inverter (INV) and NOR logic gate circuits, are evaluated after being exposed to irradiation. It has been observed that the output voltage swing of the SiC INV and NOR gate circuits decreases evidently and large leakage currents appear at the total irradiation dose of 300kGy. The mechanism of leakage current is revealed by conducting Emission Microscope test and analysis of leakage paths based on the layout. The inversion layer forms on the P-epi surface under the polysilicon gate and VDD metal after irradiation, which causes the electron leakage current flowing from N-well to P-epi. At last, suggestion on hardening 4H-SiC CMOS gate circuits is given.
