Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) is a rare malignancy, often challenging to diagnose due to its nonspecific presentation and resemblance to other neoplasms. This case highlights a locally advanced nasopharyngeal FDCS initially misdiagnosed as a meningioma, underscoring the importance of differential diagnosis in unusual tumor presentations. A 77-year-old patient presented with nasal obstruction for 3 months. Imaging studies revealed a mass in the nasopharynx prolapsing into the oropharynx, leading to an initial diagnosis of meningioma based on its radiologic appearance. Surgical resection was performed, and histopathological examination, supplemented by immunohistochmical staining, revealed features consistent with follicular dendritic cell sarcoma. Abstract Extramedullary hematopoiesis in the posterior mediastinum is rare. Our case interested a 28‐year‐old man with a history of eosinophilia with FIP1L1‐PDGFRA fusion gene who had a mediastinal mass surgically excised. Pathological examination concluded to an extramedullary erythropoiesis. This case is original by its location and the presence of only the erythroblastic line rearrangement.

Oral soft tissue metastases may be presented as rapidly progressive hyperplasic growths mimicking benign processes. Gingival metastases from pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma are extremely rare and have poor prognosis. We report in this publication a case of a 65-year-old male patient, presenting asarcomatoid carcinoma of the right upper pulmonary lobe. Clinical examination found a gingival swelling initially considered as a benign lesion. Gingival biopsy showed aspects of undifferentiated sarcomatoid carcinoma of pulmonary origin according to the immunohistochemical staining. Even rarely described, benign-mimiking lesions may be the first sign of an aggressive underlying malignancy, and, therefore, periodontists should be vigilant. Any abnormal lesion must be evaluated by histopathological investigations.

Background: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is known for its high potential for regional and distant metastasis. However, breast metastasis is rarely reported. Case presentation: A 39-year-old Caucasian male presented with bilateral neck lymph node enlargement. Radiological examination with contrast-enhanced computed tomography scan and breast imaging revealed an enhancing mass lesion in the right breast. Histopathology of the nasopharynx mass was suggestive of undifferentiated nasopharyngeal carcinoma. A breast biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of synchronous breast metastasis from the nasopharyngeal carcinoma. We present this study to illustrate that Nasopharyngeal carcinoma can metastasize to the male breast. Furthermore, the high incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma metastasis underscores the pressing need to identify effective and safe strategies, emphasizing the importance of utilizing computed tomography scans for metastasis detection. Conclusion: The present study illustrates the first case of synchronous male breast metastases from nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Thus, it is critical to distinguish between metastatic pathology and coexisting second malignancies to plan appropriate therapy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pulmonary granular cells tumors (CGT) are rare tumors, that derive from Schwann cells. In the tracheobronchial and pulmonary tree, they remain a diagnostic challenge. There are no well-established criteria to differentiate between benign, atypical, and malignant GCT. Moreover, its real frequency in the respiratory tract is still unknown. Here, we represent 2 cases of bronchial and lung GCTs. We aim to highlight the frequency of all clinicopathological characteristics of this rare tumor in the tracheobronchial and pulmonary tree location based on our cases and the available literature in a large systematic review.
