To alleviate CO2 emissions and reduce reliance on fossil fuels, a groundbreaking bifunctional catalyst system was introduced, which ingeniously merged CZZ with modified SAPO‐34 zeolite, to convert CO2 into light olefins. Different metals were impregnated into SAPO‐34 to form MeSAPO‐34 (Me = Zn, Zr, Mn) and the metal Zr content was altered. Furthermore, CZZ and MeSAPO‐34 was combined into CZZ/MeSAPO‐34 composite catalysts, which was used for CO2 hydrogenation. The MeSAPO‐34 and xZrSAPO‐34 catalysts were rigorously characterized by various techniques, revealing key physicochemical attributes. This innovative approach harnessed the synergistic effects between the metallic CZZ component and the modified zeolite to facilitate a series of reactions, effectively generating C2‐C4‐rich hydrocarbons. Benefiting from weak acid, higher oxygen vacancy concentration and interactions between components, the CZZ/ZrSAPO‐34 catalyst system has shown remarkable efficiency in enhancing the light olefin selectivity. The key aspects of this system are its ability to modulate surface acidity and oxygen vacancy concentration, thus creating favorable conditions for light olefin production via enhanced tandem reaction based on CO2 hydrogenation. As the proportion of renewable energy in power system continues to increase, that power system will face the risk of a multi-time-scale supply and demand imbalance. The rational planning of energy storage facilities can achieve a dynamic time–delay balance between power system supply and demand. Based on this, and in order to realize the location and capacity optimization determination of multiple types of energy storage in power system, this paper proposes a collaborative optimization planning framework for multiple types of energy storage. The proposed planning framework is modelled as a two-stage MILP model based on scenarios via the stochastic optimization method. In the first stage, investment decisions are made for two types of energy storage: battery energy storage (short term) and hydrogen energy storage (long term). In the second stage, power system operation simulation is conducted based on typical scenarios. Finally, the progressive hedging (PH) algorithm is applied to realize the efficient solving of the proposed model. ABSTRACT Introduction Methods Results Conclusions Anti‐CD38 therapeutic modalities (e.g., daratumumab) can impede classical CD38 and CD138 gating use for plasma cell (PC) detection in multiple myeloma (MM) patients with minimal residual disease (MRD). We assessed the applicability of CD229, CD269, and interferon regulatory factor (IRF‐4) for PC detection in MM MRD patients.Bone marrow samples were collected from patients with MM. Through multiparameter flow cytometry, we evaluated the suitability of CD229, CD269, and IRF‐4 for distinguishing PCs from other hematopoietic cells and compared their expression pattern on normal PCs (nPCs) and aberrant PCs (aPCs). We also assessed IRF‐4 expression stability after sample storage under different conditions. A 10‐color MRD antibody panel was used to determine whether IRF‐4 is an alternative primary PC‐gating marker for MM MRD assessment.IRF‐4 was expressed specifically on all PCs; its mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) was highest on PCs among all hematopoietic cells. This MFI did not decrease even after sample storage at 4°C or 25°C for 72 h. In all 42 MRD assessment samples, except for samples (n = 10) with no PCs, the use of IRF‐4 enabled accurate nPC (n = 12), aPC (n = 13), and nPC + aPC (n = 7) identification. Even samples from daratumumab‐treated patients had high IRF‐4 MFI, with no difference between pre‐treatment and post‐treatment (n = 7; p = 0.610).IRF‐4 demonstrates high MFI on PCs, and it is not expressed on other leukocytes. In MM patients with MRD, daratumumab treatment does not affect IRF‐4 expression. IRF‐4 is a promising marker for PC identification in MRD assessment of MM patients undergoing anti‐CD38 therapy. As the adoption of renewable energy sources grows, ensuring a stable power balance across various time frames has become a central challenge for modern power systems. In line with the "dual carbon" objectives and the seamless integration of renewable energy sources, harnessing the advantages of various energy storage resources and coordinating the operation of long-term and short-term storage have become pivotal directions for future energy storage deployment. To address the complexities arising from the coupling of different time scales in optimizing energy storage capacity, this paper proposes a method for energy storage planning that accounts for power imbalance risks across multiple time scales. Initially, the Seasonal and Trend decomposition using the Loess (STL) decomposition method is utilized to temporally decouple actual operational data. Subsequently, power balance computations are performed based on the obtained data at various time scales to optimize the allocation of different types of energy storage capacities and assess the associated imbalance risks. Endometriosis is a multifactorial disease associated with inflammation. Vitamin D has anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, anti-oxidative, and immunomodulatory effects. Whether vitamin D levels are correlated with endometriosis is a subject of ongoing debate. This study aimed to examine the association between endometriosis and serum vitamin D levels. From the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, this study examined the cross-sectional data of American women aged 20–54 years from 2001 to 2006. After adjusting for covariates, multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to assess correlations. A total of 3,232 women were included in this study. The multiple linear regression model demonstrated a negative correlation between the serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) concentration and the risk of endometriosis after controlling for all confounding variables. The odds ratio was 0.73 with a 95% confidence interval of 0.54–0.97 in the adequate vitamin D level group compared with the insufficient vitamin D level group. Our results showed that endometriosis was inversely correlated with serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 levels. Further research is needed to establish a causal relationship and determine the potential benefits of maintaining sufficient vitamin D levels for endometriosis prevention. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Insertions and deletions (indels) are low-frequency deleterious genomic DNA alterations. Despite their rarity, indels are common, and insertions leading to long complementarity-determining region 3 (CDR3) are vital for antigen-binding functions in broadly neutralizing and polyreactive antibodies targeting viruses. Because of challenges in detecting indels, the mechanism that generates indels during immunoglobulin diversification processes remains poorly understood. We carried out ultra-deep profiling of indels and systematically dissected the underlying mechanisms using passenger-immunoglobulin mouse models. We found that activation-induced cytidine deaminase–dependent ±1–base pair (bp) indels are the most prevalent indel events, biasing deleterious outcomes, whereas longer in-frame indels, especially insertions that can extend the CDR3 length, are rare outcomes. The ±1-bp indels are channeled by base excision repair, but longer indels require additional DNA-processing factors. Ectopic expression of a DNA exonuclease or perturbation of the balance of DNA polymerases can increase the frequency of longer indels, thus paving the way for models that can generate antibodies with long CDR3. Our study reveals the mechanisms that generate beneficial and deleterious indels during the process of antibody somatic hypermutation and has implications in understanding the detrimental genomic alterations in various conditions, including tumorigenesis. Adipose tissue CD11c+ myeloid cell is an independent risk factor associated with obesity and metabolic disorders. However, the underlying molecular basis remains elusive. Here, we demonstrated that liver kinase B1 (Lkb1), a key bioenergetic sensor, is involved in CD11c+ cell-mediated immune responses in diet-induced obesity. Loss of Lkb1 in CD11c+ cells results in obesity resistance but lower glucose tolerance, which accompanies tissue-specific immune abnormalities. The accumulation and CD80’s expression of Lkb1 deficient adipose-tissue specific dendritic cells but not macrophages is restrained. Additionally, the balance of IL-17A and IFN-γ remarkably tips towards the latter in fat T cells and CD11c− macrophages. Mechanistically, IFN-γ promotes apoptosis of preadipocytes and inhibits their adipogenesis while IL-17A promotes the adipogenesis in vitro, which might account in part for the fat gain resistant phenotype. In summary, these findings reveal that Lkb1 is essential for fat CD11c+ dendritic cells responding to HFD exposure and provides new insights into the IL-17A/IFN-γ balance in HFD-induced obesity.
