1. Photonic Spin-Orbit Coupling Induced by Deep-Subwavelength Structured Light

Abstract

We demonstrate both theoretically and experimentally beam-dependent photonic spin-orbit coupling in a two-wave mixing process described by an equivalent of the Pauli equation in quantum mechanics. The considered structured light in the system is comprising a superposition of two orthogonal spin-orbit-coupled states defined as spin up and spin down equivalents. The spin-orbit coupling is manifested by prominent pseudo spin precession as well as spin-transport-induced orbital angular momentum generation in a photonic crystal film of wavelength thickness. The coupling effect is significantly enhanced by using a deep-subwavelength carrier envelope, different from previous studies which depend on materials. Abstract

Objective To construct and evaluate a health education program suitable for the physical and mental characteristics and disease characteristics of children with fracture. Methods A phased health education program was designed according to the theory of play therapy and health education, and main content of education program included: ① Relationship building stage; ② Exploration and perception stage; ③Comprehension and interpretation stage; ④Education and cognitive formation stage. Different game goals and projects were designed at each stage to promote the realization of children's rehabilitation goals. Totally 80 children with upper limb fractures were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. The experimental group adopted the phased game-based rehabilitation scheme and the control group adopted the conventional rehabilitation scheme. The joint mobility and exercise compliance were measured compared between the two groups. Results The score of Fugl-Meyer Assessment increased in both groups after intervention, and score of Fugl-Meyer Assessment in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0. 01). Abstract

Optical diffraction limit has been a long-term scientific issue since Ernst Abbe first introduced the concept in 1873. It is a constraint on the smallest light spot that can be achieved. Substantial effort has been invested in the past decade to beat this limit by exploiting evanescent waves. But this method encounters serious near-field limitations. A more promising route to breaking the constraint is to explore optical superoscillation in the far field with engineered metamaterials. However, these particular structures involve with very complicated optimization-based design that requires precisely tailoring the interference of propagating waves with low spatial frequency. To overcome these limitations, here we explore a new approach based on the two-hundred-year-old discovery: Possion-Arago spots. We show for the first time that by using a single disc, constructive interference of propagating waves with high-spatial-frequency wavevectors can be realized, generating a diffraction-unlimited localized Possion-Arago spot with achievable size down to $\lambda/$20. Actually, such an element permits creation of an ultra-long nearly nondiffracting superoscillatory needle with appreciable field of view. This easy-to-fabrication element provides a promising route to overcome the diffraction limit, thus might open new avenues to exploit various applications in different fields., Comment: The paper includes 4 figures

Abstract

The corrosion behavior of Q345qDNH steel and Q420qENH steel under the industrial atmosphere containing PM2.5, as well as the effect of PM2.5 on the rust layer were studied by dry–wet alternating accelerated corrosion experiment. The results show that the corrosion rate of Q345qDNH is always less than that of Q420qENH, the Cr content of rust layer is higher than that of Q420qENH steel. After 30 days of corrosion, compared with Q420qENH steel, the self‐corrosion potential of Q345qDNH is larger, the self‐corrosion current density is smaller, and the rust resistance is 1.49 times of Q420qENH steel, the Iα‐FeOOH/Iγ‐FeOOH ratio is 1.29 times of Q420qENH, indicating that the protection of the rust layer of Q345qDNH is better than that of Q420qENH. This is due to the effect of microstructure factors in the early stage of corrosion and alloying elements in the late stage of corrosion. PM2.5 with SiO2 as the main component is easy to deposit at cracks and holes, which becomes the nucleation substrate for corrosion products, promotes the nonuniform nucleation of corrosion products, making the rust layer develop unevenly, leading to an increase in holes in the outer rust layer.
