Electrocatalytic carbonylation of CO and CH3OH to dimethyl carbonate (DMC) on metallic palladium (Pd) electrode offers a promising strategy for C1 valorization at the anode. However, its broader application is limited by the high working potential and the low DMC selectivity accompanied with severe methanol self‐oxidation. Herein, our theoretical analysis of the intermediate adsorption interactions on both Pd0 and Pd4+ surfaces revealed that inevitable reconstruction of Pd surface under strongly oxidative potential diminishes its CO adsorption capacity, thus damaging the DMC formation. Further theoretical modeling indicates that doping Pd with Cu not only stabilizes low‐valence Pd in oxidative environments but also lowers the overall energy barrier for DMC formation. Guided by this insight, we developed a facile two‐step thermal shock method to prepare PdCu alloy electrocatalysts for DMC. Remarkably, the predicted Pd3Cu demonstrated the highest DMC selectivity among existing Pd‐based electrocatalysts, reaching a peaked DMC selectivity of 93 % at 1.0 V versus Ag/AgCl electrode. Objective: Osteoporosis (OS) is a systemic bone disease characterized by low bone mass and bone microstructure damage. This study. Methods: According to the T value, 88 elderly fracture patients were grouped as the control group (without OS, 43 cases) and observation group (with T value <-2.5, which could be diagnosed as OS, 45 cases). The content of boney containing protein (BGP), total type 1 collagen amino terminal extender peptide (TPINP), β-Crosslaps (β-CTX), parathyroid hormone (PTH) and insulin-like growth factors-1 (IGF-1) was compared. Multivariate logistic regression was adopted to analyze the correlation between biochemical indexes and the occurrence of senile OS fracture and the related risk factors. The diagnostic value in the elderly was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results: The levels of BGP, TPINP, β-CTX, PTH and IGF-1 were elevated, and the level of IGF-1 was decreased in the observation group compared with the control group (P < 0.05). The elevated content of BGP, TPINP, β-CTX and PTH, and the decreased expression of IGF-1 were influencing factors for OS fractures in the elderly (P < 0.05). The sensitivity and specificity to predict the occurrence of OS fractures in the elderly were 91.70% and 90.50%, respectively. The AUC of combined detection was 0.976 (95% CI: 0.952-1.000), which was memorably higher than single indicator detection (P < 0.05). Among 45 patients, 32 cases had good prognosis and 13 had poor prognosis. In comparison with the good prognosis group, the content of BGP, TPINP, β-CTX and PTH were sensibly higher, the level of IGF-1 was prominently lower, and the proportion of fracture history was much higher in poor prognosis group (P < 0.05). Fracture history, BGP, TPINP, β-CTX, PTH and IGF-1 were independent risk factors for poor prognosis of elderly OS fractures (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Bone metabolism factors were associated with poor prognosis of OS in the elderly. To enhance the development of transport infrastructure, various networks characterised by cross-sector, interorganisational collaborations have been designed, structured and deployed to tackle project complexities and achieve predefined objectives. However, these endeavours have received limited scrutiny in prior studies. To address this gap and gain novel insights, we conduct a multi-case review of 34 mega transport projects (MTPs) across 14 countries and regions from the perspective of network-based collaboration governance. Three communal complexities that trigger the governance demand for collaborative networks are first identified, followed by an evaluation of their relationships with network structures and governance mechanisms. The findings reveal a multi-level structure within collaborative networks encompassing collaborative governance, financial governance and interorganisational governance, each of which involves distinct governance structures, processes and orchestrators. Following the above-mentioned analysis, we propose an integrative framework to underpin the typology for collaborative network governance, which enables MTPs to improve cross-sector, interorganisational collaboration. Background and Aims: Manual navigation (MN), drawing a bronchoscopic road map simply by looking at the consecutive computed tomography (CT), is feasible and economical. However, scant data about the use of MN in radial endobronchial ultrasound (r‐EBUS) bronchoscopy have been documented till now. We aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of r‐EBUS bronchoscopy guided by MN for diagnosing peripheral pulmonary lesions (PPLs) and to determine clinical factors affecting the diagnostic yield. Methods: We performed a retrospective, cohort study of consecutive patients with PPLs who underwent r‐EBUS bronchoscopic biopsy via guidance of MN from May 2020 to June 2021 in our Respiratory Endoscopic Division. The overall diagnostic yield of MN‐guided r‐EBUS, the factors affecting the yield, and the diagnostic performance for malignancy were evaluated. Results: A total of 102 patients (103 lesions) were evaluated. The overall diagnostic yield of MN‐guided r‐EBUS was 82.0%, and it ranged from 79.6% to 82.5%, assuming the undermined cases were all positive cases (79.6%) or negatives (82.5%). The sensitivity of MN‐guided r‐EBUS for malignancy was 71.4%, ranging from 68.2% to 71.4%, the specificity was 100%, the positive predictive value was 100%, and the negative predictive value was 67.3%, ranging from 63.8% to 69.0%. The multivariate logistic regression showed that "bronchus sign on CT" was the only predictor of the overall diagnostic yield (odds ratio = 11.5, 95% confidence interval: 1.9–70.9, P = 0.009). This paper deals with differential pencils possessing a term depending on the unknown function with a fixed argument. We deduce the so called main equation together with its fine structure for the spectral problem. Then, according to the boundary conditions and the position of argument, we describe two cases: degenerate and non-degenerate. For these two cases, the uniqueness of inverse spectral problem is studied and a constructive procedure for reconstructing the potentials along with necessary and sufficient conditions of the inverse problem solvability are obtained. Background: Considering the conflicting effects of bupropion on parameters related to metabolic syndrome including glucose metabolism and lipid profile, in this meta‐analysis study, we investigated the effects of this drug alone or in combination with naltrexone on glucose metabolism and lipid profile. Methods: Scopus, PubMed/Medline, Web of Science and Embase databases were searched using standard keywords to identify all controlled trials investigating effects of bupropion alone and combined with naltrexone on the glucose and lipid profile. Pooled weighted mean difference and 95% confidence intervals were achieved by random‐effects model. Results: Twelve studies with 5152 participants' were included in this article. The pooled findings showed that bupropion alone or in combination with naltrexone would significantly reduce glucose (weighted mean difference (WMD): −2.25 mg/dL, 95% confidence interval (CI): −4.10, −0.40), insulin (WMD: −4.06 μU/mL, 95% CI: −6.09, −2.03), homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA‐IR) (WMD: −0.58, 95% CI: −0.98, −0.19), triglyceride (TG) (WMD: −11.78 mg/dL, 95% CI: −14.48 to −9.08) and increase high‐density lipoprotein (HDL) (WMD: 2.68 mg/dL, 95% CI: 2.13 to 3.24). A Greater reduction in glucose levels was observed with duration >26 weeks. Dose of bupropion intake ≤360 mg and intervention for more than 26 weeks decreased insulin level significantly. With regard to lipid profile, reduction of triglycerides is more significant with dose of bupropion greater than 360 mg and a shorter intervention length equal to 26 weeks. Conclusions: The addition of combination therapies such as bupropion and naltrexone to lifestyle modification can significantly improve glucose metabolism and some lipid parameters. Cellular rheological properties affect cell function and are reflective of cell status. It is challenging to perform multiplexed single‐cell rheology probing with high controllability, particularly for adherent cells. A surface acoustic wave (SAW)‐based method is presented for this purpose. The method integrates the potent micromanipulation ability of acoustic waves in a microfluidic chamber with the ability of cell‐anchored microbeads to concentrate the acoustic energy to deform the cell. Two strategies are developed for placing a targeted microbead at a desired position on the cell membrane. The power‐law rheological dynamics with plastic components are applied to fit the creep (during the mechanical loading) and relaxation (after force removal) responses of the cell. With more than 400 measurements of adherent cells and each with detailed dynamics, a full range of viscoelastic behaviors of cells far beyond the typical rheology of previously reported adherent cells and unexpected negative plastic compliance is observed. The developed method supports in‐depth investigations of biomechanics at the cellular and subcellular levels, with considerable potential for extension to mechanical force‐based cell function regulation. Electrical stimulation (ES) is proposed as a therapeutic solution for managing chronic wounds. However, its widespread clinical adoption is limited by the requirement of additional extracorporeal devices to power ES‐based wound dressings. In this study, a novel sandwich‐structured photovoltaic microcurrent hydrogel dressing (PMH dressing) is designed for treating diabetic wounds. This innovative dressing comprises flexible organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells, a flexible micro–electro–mechanical systems (MEMS) electrode, and a multifunctional hydrogel serving as an electrode–tissue interface. The PMH dressing is engineered to administer ES, mimicking the physiological injury current occurring naturally in wounds when exposed to light; thus, facilitating wound healing. In vitro experiments are performed to validate the PMH dressing's exceptional biocompatibility and robust antibacterial properties. In vivo experiments and proteomic analysis reveal that the proposed PMH dressing significantly accelerates the healing of infected diabetic wounds by enhancing extracellular matrix regeneration, eliminating bacteria, regulating inflammatory responses, and modulating vascular functions. Therefore, the PMH dressing is a potent, versatile, and effective solution for diabetic wound care, paving the way for advancements in wireless ES wound dressings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: In this study, the therapeutic effect of 5‐aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy (ALA‐PDT) in comparison to blue/red light combined with intralesional triamcinolone injection for severe inflammatory acne was evaluated and analyzed. Methods: One hundred and four cases of severe inflammatory acne were analyzed in this study. They were divided into two groups as control and observation groups, 52 cases in each group. The control group (group A) received red and blue light combined with triamcinolone injection and lidocaine injection (1:4), while the observation group (Group B) was treated with ALA‐PDT. Finally, the therapeutic effect and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: After 2, 4 and 6 weeks, the effectiveness rates of group B was 28.85%, 75.00%, and 86.54%, respectively while it was 9.62%, 51.92%, and 69.23%, respectively in group A. The difference between A and B was statistically remarkable (χ2 = 6.1905, 5.9713, 4.5217, p = 0.0128, 0.0145, 0.0335 at p < 0.05). In addition, the incidence of adverse reactions in B was 5.77%, lower than A (32.69%). This difference between A and B was statistically remarkable (χ2 = 12.1333, p = 0.0005). After 2, 4, and 6 weeks of treatment, the number of residual lesions in the group B group was remarkably lower than group A (p < 0.01). There was remarkable difference in the incidence of pain, burning sensation, pigmentation and erythema between the two groups. Conclusions: The therapeutic effect of ALA‐PDT in the treatment of severe acne is better than red blue light combined with triamcinolone injection and lidocaine injection. Background: The TyG-BMI index, which is a reliable indicator of insulin resistance (IR), has been found to have a significant correlation with the occurrence of cardiovascular events. However, there still lacks study on the TyG-BMI index and prognosis in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The objective of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between TyG-BMI index at admission to ICU and all-cause mortality in critically ill patients with AF. Methods: The patient's data were extracted from Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV(MIMIC-IV) database. All patients were divided into four groups according to TyG-BMI index. Outcomes include primary and secondary endpoints, with the primary endpoint being the 30-day and 365-day all-cause mortality and the secondary endpoint being the 90-day and 180-day all-cause mortality. TyG-BMI index was quartile and Kaplan-Meier curve was used to compare the outcome of each group. Cox proportional-hazards regression model and restricted cubic splines (RCS) were conducted to assess the relationship between TyG-BMI index and outcomes. Results: Out of a total of 2509 participants, the average age was 73.26 ± 11.87 years, with 1555 (62.0%) being males. Patients with lower level of TyG-BMI had higher risk of 30-day, 90-day, 180-day and 365-day all-cause mortality, according to the Kaplan-Meier curves (log-rank P < 0.001). In addition, cox proportional-hazards regression analysis revealed that the risk of 30-day, 90-day, 180-day and 365-day all-cause mortality was significantly higher in the lowest quartile of TyG-BMI. Meanwhile, the RCS analysis indicated that L-typed relationships between TyG-BMI index and all-cause mortality, with inflection points at 223.60 for 30-day and 255.02 for 365-day all-cause mortality, respectively. Compared to patients with TyG-BMI levels below the inflection points, those with higher levels had a 1.8% lower risk for 30-day all-cause mortality (hazard ratio [HR] 0.982, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.9676–0.988) and 1.1% lower risk for 365-day all-cause mortality (HR 0.989, 95% CI 0.986–0.991). Conclusion: In critically ill patients with AF, a lower TyG-BMI level is significantly associated with a higher risk of 30-day, 90-day, 180-day and 365-day all-cause mortality. The use of Monte‐Carlo (MC) p$$ p $$‐values when testing the significance of a large number of hypotheses is now commonplace. In large‐scale hypothesis testing, we will typically encounter at least somep$$ p $$‐values near the threshold of significance, which require a larger number of MC replicates than p$$ p $$‐values that are far from the threshold. As a result, some incorrect conclusions can be reached due to MC error alone; for hypotheses near the threshold, even a very large number (eg, 106$$ 1{0}^6 $$) of MC replicates may not be enough to guarantee conclusions reached using MC p$$ p $$‐values. Gandy and Hahn (GH)6‐8 have developed the only method that directly addresses this problem. They defined a Monte‐Carlo error rate (MCER) to be the probability that any decisions on accepting or rejecting a hypothesis based on MC p$$ p $$‐values are different from decisions based on idealp$$ p $$‐values; their method then makes decisions by controlling the MCER. Unfortunately, the GH method is frequently very conservative, often making no rejections at all and leaving a large number of hypotheses "undecided". In this article, we propose MERIT, a method for large‐scale MC hypothesis testing that also controls the MCER but is more statistically efficient than the GH method. Through extensive simulation studies, we demonstrate that MERIT controls the MCER while making more decisions that agree with the ideal p$$ p $$‐values than GH does. After the devastating Permo-Triassic Mass Extinction, several new groups of large reptilian predators invaded the sea in the early part of the Triassic. Among these predators, sauropterygians, consisting of placodonts, pachypleurosaurs, nothosaurs and pistosaurs (including the iconic plesiosaurs), displayed the greatest diversity at both the generic and species levels, and persisted from the Early Triassic to the Late Cretaceous. Here, we report a new species of Pachypleurosauria, Dianmeisaurus mutaensis sp. nov., from a recently discovered Lagerstätte in the Upper Member of the Anisian Guanling Formation. The only known specimen of the new species was collected from a quarry near Muta village, Luxi County, Yunnan Province, South China. Our new phylogenetic analysis based on a novel data matrix recovered the new taxon as a sister group to Dianmeisaurus gracilis—a small pachypleurosaur from the Middle Triassic Luoping biota. The new phylogenetic analysis also collapsed the monophyly of the traditionally recognized Eusauropterygia. Pistosauroidea, Majiashanosaurus, and Hanosaurus comprise the consecutive sister groups to a new clade including Pachypleurosauria and Nothosauroidea. A monophyletic Pachypleurosauria, within which the clade consisting of Dianmeisaurus and Panzhousaurus occupies the basal-most position, is recovered by this study. The clade consisting of Dawazisaurus and Dianopachysaurus forms the sister group to the remaining pachypleurosaurs included in this study. Since Dianmeisaurus, Panzhousaurus, Dawazisaurus, and Dianopachysaurus are all exclusively known from South China, our study provides further evidence to the hypothesis that pachypleurosaurs had a palaeobiogeographic origin in the eastern Tethys. Background: We previously optimized the duration and dose of vonoprazan and amoxicillin dual therapy in China. The efficacy of vonoprazan with b.i.d. amoxicillin in comparison with vonoprazan‐containing quadruple therapy as the first‐line treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection has not been adequately evaluated. Methods: In a non‐inferiority, randomized clinical trial, H. pylori infected and treatment‐naïve patients were randomly assigned to receive 14 days of either vonoprazan dual (vonoprazan 20 mg and amoxicillin 1 g twice daily) or quadruple therapy (vonoprazan 20 mg + amoxicillin 1 g + furazolidone 100 mg + bismuth potassium citrate 600 mg twice daily). H. pylori status was confirmed using 13C‐urea breath tests or fecal antigen test. The primary outcome was the H. pylori eradication rate following vonoprazan dual and quadruple therapy at 4–12 weeks. We also compared drug compliance to either regimen and documented their side effect. Results: A total of 190 subjects were randomized. The eradication rate of vonoprazan dual and quadruple therapy were 87.4% and 92.6% (p = 0.23) by intention‐to‐treat analysis, respectively, and 96.5% and 97.7% (p = 0.63) by per‐protocol analysis, respectively. The efficacy of vonoprazan dual therapy was non‐inferior to vonoprazan‐containing quadruple therapy in per‐protocol analysis (p < 0.001; difference: −1.2%; 90% confidence interval: −5.4% to 3.0%). Conclusion: Vonoprazan with b.i.d. amoxicillin for 14 days provided similar satisfactory efficacy with vonoprazan‐containing quadruple therapy as a first‐line H. pylori treatment in China. There is no golden standard for the diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis which still dependent on liver biopsy currently. So, we developed a noninvasive prediction model to help optimize the diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis. From January 2017 to December 2019, 1739 patients who had undergone liver biopsy were seen in the second hospital of Nanjing, of which 128 were here for consultation. Clinical, laboratory, and histologic data were obtained retrospectively. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was employed to create a nomogram model that predicting the risk of autoimmune hepatitis. Internal and external validation was both performed to evaluate the model. A total of 1288 patients with liver biopsy were enrolled (1184 from the second hospital of Nanjing, the remaining 104 from other centers). After the univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis, nine variables including ALT, IgG, ALP/AST, ALB, ANA, AMA, HBsAg, age, and gender were selected to establish the noninvasive prediction model. The nomogram model exhibits good prediction in diagnosing autoimmune hepatitis with AUROC of 0.967 (95% CI: 0.776–0.891) in internal validation and 0.835 (95% CI: 0.752–0.919) in external validation. ALT, IgG, ALP/AST, ALB, ANA, AMA, HBsAg, age, and gender are predictive factors for the diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis in patients with unexplained liver diseases. Background: Nickel-Titanium shape-memory sawtooth-arm embracing clamps (SSECs) have been used in revision total hip arthroplasties (rTHAs) to protect stem stability. This study was to introduce this technique and report its mid to long-term clinical and radiographic outcomes. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed all patients implanted with SSECs in our department from January 2008 to December 2015. 41 patients (41 hips) were finally included. Radiographs and Harris hip scores (HHS) were collected. Radiographs were blindly analyzed for evidence of loosening, subsidence and stress shielding. HHS were compared to previous records by student's t tests. The average follow-up period was 9.3 years. Results: All stems were stably fixed with no signs of loosening. The mean stem subsidence was 0.9 mm (range, 0 to 3 mm). Only one patient (2.4%) demonstrated the fourth degree of stress shielding, with the others none or minor bone resorption. The mean HHS at the final follow-up was 84.2 (range, 81 to 91), which was improved from 17.4 (range, 0 to 37) before surgery. No implant failures or re-revisions occurred. Dislocation occurred in 1 case during the follow-up period. Conclusions: The SSEC protected stem fixation and achieved favorable clinical and radiographic outcomes in this 9-year follow-up study. Glabridin (Gla) is a natural active ingredient extracted from licorice root with good whitening activity. However, its poor solubility limits its further application. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a novel co-amorphous Gla–OMT raw material using oxymatrine (OMT) as a co-former, aiming to improve its physicochemical properties and enhance its whitening activity. Firstly, the formation of co-amorphous Gla–OMT was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The genotyping of Campylobacter coli was done using three methods, pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE), Sau-polymerase chain reaction (Sau-PCR), and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis assay of flagellin gene (fla-DGGE) and the characteristics of these assays were compared. The results showed that a total of 53 strains of C. coli were isolated from chicken and duck samples in three markets. All isolates were clustered into 31, 33, and 15 different patterns with Simpson’s index of diversity (SID) values of 0.972, 0.974, and 0.919, respectively. Sau-PCR assay was simpler, more rapid, and had higher discriminatory power than PFGE assay. Fla-DGGE assay could detect and illustrate the number of contamination types of C. jejuni and C. coli without cultivation, which saved more time and cost than Sau-PCR and PFGE assays. Therefore, Sau-PCR and fla-DGGE assays are both rapid, economical, and easy to perform, which have the potential to be promising and accessible for primary laboratories in genotyping C. coli strains. Four new phloroglucinol derivatives (1 − 4) were isolated from the leaves of Syzygium fluviatile. Their structures were elucidated by means of extensive spectroscopic data. Licorice flavonoids are a kind of flavonoids extracted from the root of licorice, which have good antioxidant activity and are widely used in the food industry. In the early research of the research group, it has been found that the antioxidant activity of licorice flavonoids can be altered by solvent mediation. However, the molecular mechanism underlying the antioxidant properties of licorice flavonoids is still not fully understood. Therefore, this study aims to explore the molecular mechanism underlying the antioxidant activity of licorice flavonoids based on the principles of pharmacophore theory and quantum computing. Firstly, network pharmacology will be employed to study the antioxidant properties of licorice flavonoids. The major active components and key structural features responsible for the antioxidant activity in licorice flavonoids will be screened using pharmacophore theory and further validated through molecular docking. Lastly, quantum computing will be utilized to uncover the potential mechanism underlying their antioxidant activity. Pharmacophore studies have shown that licochalcone B, retrochalcone, isoliquiritin, and isoliquiritigenin exhibit low predicted IC50 values, indicating that these compounds are key components of licorice flavonoids in the antioxidant process. Molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) and frontier molecular orbital studies have shown that licochalcone B, retrochalcone, isoliquiritin, and isoliquiritigenin all exhibit certain chemical reactivity. Quantum computing studies have found that the para-phenol hydroxyl group on the core structure of licochalcone B, isoliquiritigenin, retrochalcone, and isoliquiritin is a crucial functional group for the antioxidant activity of flavonoid compounds. In general, this study successfully elucidated the mode of action of licorice flavonoids in the antioxidant process, providing some guidance for the synthesis of new antioxidant compounds. Background: Malignant melanoma is a highly heterogeneous skin cancer with the highest mortality rate among dermatological cancers. Catenins form functional networks in the nucleus to regulate gene expression and determine cell fate. Dysregulation of catenin expression correlates with the malignant characteristics of the tumor. We aimed to investigate the regulatory mechanisms of catenins in melanoma and to further define the function of catenin-related molecular signaling in the tumor microenvironment. Methods: In this study, a bioinformatics approach combined with experimental validation was used to explore the potential tumor biology mechanisms of catenin-related signaling. Results: Melanoma patients can be divided into two catenin clusters. Patients defined by high Junction Plakoglobin (JUP), Plakophilin 1 (PKP1), Plakophilin 3 (PKP3) levels (C2) had shorter survival time than other patients (C1). We demonstrated that JUP regulates Anterior Gradient 2 (AGR2)/LY6/PLAUR Domain Containing 3 (LYPD3) to maintain melanoma stemness and promotes glycolysis. We also found that LYPD3 was co-expressed with S100A9 and associated with immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). The internet has revolutionized how we live, providing unprecedented convenience and up-to-date information. Consequently, an increasing number of individuals are turning to the internet for health-related information, despite research suggesting a correlation between this behavior and health anxiety. Therefore, drawing on cognitive – behavioral theory, we explore the link between online health information seeking and health anxiety via a systematic review and meta-analysis of cross-sectional studies. Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis, we ran searches in multiple databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Elsevier/Science Direct, Cochrane Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP Chinese Database, and Wanfang Data. Our searches identified 16 studies eligible for review, involving 4,920 participants across seven countries. The random-effects meta-analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between online health information seeking and health anxiety (r = 0.28, 95% confidence interval [0.16, 0.41], p < .0001), despite considerable heterogeneity. Furthermore, meta-regression analysis demonstrated that the identity characteristics of the sample, female percentage, sample size, and country all contributed to the heterogeneity across studies. Overall, this meta-analysis provides support for the association between online health information seeking and health anxiety, and helps to elucidate the cognitive – behavioral theory underpinning this phenomenon. We present here linear decomposition model-centered log ratio (LDM-clr), an extension of our LDM approach to allow fitting linear models to centered-log-ratio-transformed taxa count data. As LDM-clr is implemented within the existing LDM program, this extension enjoys all the features supported by LDM, including a compositional analysis of differential abundance at both the taxon and community levels, while allowing for a wide range of covariates and study designs for either association or mediation analysis. Catabolism, a controlled degradation process, not only releases Gibbs free energy and regenerates ATP but also dissipates excess energy as heat. The formulation of the mean-field infinite-dimensional solution of hard sphere glasses is a significant milestone for theoretical physics. How relevant this description might be for understanding low-dimensional glass-forming liquids, however, remains unclear. A new morphotype of nothosaurs collected from the Upper Member of Anisian Guanling Formation in the Muta village, Luxi County, Yunnan Province, China is reported here. The new morphotype is represented by a single specimen that can be distinguished from other nothosaurs in the combination of the following features: premaxilla partly fused, jugal positioned forward in the cheek, pineal foramen in a deep trough and close to the middle of the skull table, quadratojugal present, distinctly long internal naris. The right lower jaw of the new specimen is completely exposed in medial view, providing hereto unknown information about the medial morphology of the lower jaw for nothosaurid sauropterygians, including the large splenial forming half of the inner wall of the lower jaw, the slender and elongate coronoid located in the middle of the mandible, and the Meckelian foramen located within the adductor fossa bounded by surangular and prearticular. Morphological comparison with other Triassic eosauropteygians reveals previously unrecognised characters that may be used for reconstructing the phylogeny of sauropterygians in the future. IgA nephropathy (IgAN), the most common form of primary glomerulonephritis, is mainly observed in young adults and children. Clinical and basic studies indicate the role of immunity in IgAN pathogenesis; however, corticosteroid therapy has been controversial in past decades. The TESTING study, initiated in 2012, is an international, multicenter, double-blinded, randomized, placebo-controlled trial that aimed to evaluate oral methylprednisolone's safety and long-term efficacy under conditions of optimized supportive treatment in patients with IgAN whose risk of progression is high. After a decade of effort, the successful completion of the TESTING study showed that a 6- to 9-month course of oral methylprednisolone is an effective regimen to protect kidney function in high-risk patients with IgAN, but also demonstrated safety concerns. Compared with the full-dose regimen, the reduced-dose regimen was reported to be beneficial, with successfully increased safety. Overall, the TESTING trial provided more data regarding the treatment dosage and safety of corticosteroids, a cost-effective therapy, in IgAN, which have important implications for pediatric patients with IgAN. Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-based diagnostics have been considered a next-generation molecular diagnosis tool. Single-readout mode has been extensively employed in massive CRISPR/Cas12a-based biosensors. In this work, we propose a one-tube dual-readout biosensor (CRISAT) for the first time for the detection of ultrasensitive nucleic acids and non-nucleic acids developed by harnessing CRISPR-ALP tandem assay. In the presence of a target, Cas12a is activated to randomly cut the single-stranded hyDNA sequence of MB@hyDNA-cALP, thus releasing abundant alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in the supernatant solution. By using 4-aminophenol phosphate as the substrate of ALP, p-aminophenol is produced, which then reacts with N-[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine or diethylenetriamine to generate silicon-containing polymer carbon dots (Si PCDs) or polymer carbon dots (PCDs) in situ, which can be observed by the naked eye or detected using a fluorescent device in the same solution. Using this strategy, a fluorescence and colorimetry dual-readout nanoplatform for CRISPR-based biosensors can be rationally developed. We ascertain the applicability of CRISAT by detecting the SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus, achieving superior sensitivity and specificity. Copper (Cu)-based materials are widely used in many fields from industry to life, including marine, medical apparatus and instruments, and microelectronic devices owing to their superior thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties. However, the interaction of copper with aggressive and fouling liquids under normal circumstances easily brings about severe bacterial accumulation, resulting in undesirable functionality degeneration and bacterial infections. In this contribution, we reported a novel copper-based sponge, polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)@graphdiyne (GDY)@Cu, constructed by in situ synthesis of GDY on a commercial Cu sponge, followed by the modification of PDMS. The as-fabricated PDMS@GDY@Cu sponge not only possesses excellent self-cleaning activity against the pollution of daily drinks and dirt due to an improved static contact angle (~136°), but also display a remarkably enhanced anticorrosion performance, attributed to intimate coverage of chemically stable GDY and PDMS on the Cu sponge. Based on high photothermal effect of GDY, the PDMS@GDY@Cu sponge also displays significantly improved antibacterial activities under irradiation. In addition, due to excellent chemical stability of PDMS and GDY, self-cleaning behavior and photothermal-assisted antibacterial performance are well maintained after long-term attack of bacteria. Changes in health-related quality of life (HRQOL) among elderly patients with cancer before and after receiving curative treatment, such as chemotherapy, have always been an important consideration in physician–patient treatment decision-making. Although frailty assessment can help predict the effects of chemotherapy, there is a lack of relevant literature on its effectiveness in predicting post-chemotherapy HRQOL. Therefore, this study investigated the early predictive value of pre-chemotherapy frailty assessment for post-chemotherapy HRQOL among elderly patients with cancer receiving curative chemotherapy. From September 2016 to November 2018, this study enrolled elderly patients with cancer aged ≥ 65 years (N = 178), who were expected to receive chemotherapy at three hospitals in Taiwan. The mean age of patients was 71.70 years (SD = 5.46 years) and half of them were female (n = 96, 53.9%). A comprehensive geriatric assessment was performed to measure frailty in 178 participants one week before receiving chemotherapy (T0). Further, the HRQOL of the elderly patients with cancer was assessed again, four weeks after chemotherapy (T1). After controlling for demographic variables, this study evaluated the predictive value of frailty for HRQOL using a hierarchical regression analysis. A total of 103 (57.9%) participants met the frailty criteria. The results showed that 31.1%–56.7% of the variance in the seven domains of HRQOL could be explained by demographic variables and the presence or absence of frailty. This suggests that the presence or absence of frailty is an important predictor of the illness burden domain (β = 9.5; p <.05) of HRQOL. Frailty affects the illness burden domain of HRQOL in elderly patients with cancer. Background: Bismuth‐containing quadruple therapy is an effective regimen for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) treatment. No head‐to‐head comparison trials have been conducted to evaluate the efficacy of colloidal bismuth pectin (CBP) in quadruple therapy for eradicating H. pylori. We aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of CBP quadruple therapy and bismuth potassium citrate (BPC) quadruple therapy for 14 days in the first‐line treatment of H. pylori. Methods: In this multicenter, randomized, double‐blind, non‐inferiority clinical trial, H. pylori‐infected subjects without eradication history were randomized to receive amoxicillin 1 g twice daily, tetracycline 500 mg three time daily, esomeprazole 20 mg twice daily in combination with CBP 200 mg three time daily or BPC 240 mg twice daily for 14 days. 13C‐urea breath tests were used to access the eradication rate at least 4 weeks after treatment. Results: Between April 2021 and July 2022, 406 patients were assessed for eligibility and 339 subjects were randomized. The cure rates (primary outcome) of CBP and BPC quadruple therapy were 90.5% and 92.3% (p = 0.56) by intention‐to‐treat analysis, respectively, and 96.1% and 96.2% (p = 1.00) by per‐protocol analysis, respectively. CBP quadruple therapy was non‐inferior to BPC quadruple therapy in the intention‐to‐treat and per‐protocol analysis (p < 0.025). The frequency of adverse events and compliance were not different among the two groups (p > 0.05). The aim of this study was to test the feasibility of a fall prevention exercise program, Diverse Older Adults Doing the Lifestyle-integrated Functional Exercise program (DO LiFE). DO LiFE was developed for a diverse aging population and to improve low adherence to structured exercise. Older adults with high fall risk and who resided in medically underserved (MU) U.S. zip codes were assigned to DO-LiFE or the control group. Feasibility outcomes of reach, adherence, fidelity, and acceptance were collected. DO LiFE established high reach/adherence, could be delivered with fidelity, and had high acceptance. Additional barriers were identified for a revision of DO LiFE before proceeding to a larger study. Results of this study show that DO LiFE demonstrates good feasibility and lay the foundation for larger-scale studies. Although some unexpected issues may require a revision of DO-LiFE, this evidence-based program is feasible for in-need, diverse aging populations in real-world settings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Orchidaceae (with >28,000 orchid species) are one of the two largest plant families, with economically and ecologically important species, and occupy global and diverse niches with primary distribution in rainforests. Among orchids, 70% grow on other plants as epiphytes; epiphytes contribute up to ~50% of the plant diversity in rainforests and provide food and shelter for diverse animals and microbes, thereby contributing to the health of these ecosystems. Orchids account for over two‐thirds of vascular epiphytes and provide an excellent model for studying evolution of epiphytism. Extensive phylogenetic studies of Orchidaceae and subgroups have ;been crucial for understanding relationships among many orchid lineages, although some uncertainties remain. For example, in the largest subfamily Epidendroideae with nearly all epiphytic orchids, relationships among some tribes and many subtribes are still controversial, hampering evolutionary analyses of epiphytism. Here we obtained 1,450 low‐copy nuclear genes from 610 orchid species, including 431 with newly generated transcriptomes, and used them for the reconstruction of robust Orchidaceae phylogenetic trees with highly supported placements of tribes and subtribes. We also provide generally well‐supported phylogenetic placements of 131 genera and 437 species that were not sampled by previous plastid and nuclear phylogenomic studies. Molecular clock analyses estimated the Orchidaceae origin at ~132 million years ago (Ma) and divergences of most subtribes from 52 to 29 Ma. Character reconstruction supports at least 14 parallel origins of epiphytism; one such origin was placed at the most recent common ancestor of ~95% of epiphytic orchids and linked to modern rainforests. Ten occurrences of rapid increase in the diversification rate were detected within Epidendroideae near and after the K‐Pg boundary, contributing to ~80% of the Orchidaceae diversity. AST3-2 is the second of the three Antarctic Survey Telescopes, aimed at wide-field time-domain optical astronomy. It is located at Dome A, Antarctica, which is by many measures the best optical astronomy site on the Earth's surface. Here we present the data from the AST3-2 automatic survey in 2016 and the photometry results. The median 5σ limiting magnitude in i -band is 17.8 mag and the light-curve precision is 4 mmag for bright stars. The data release includes photometry for over 7 million stars, from which over 3500 variable stars were detected, with 70 of them newly discovered. Simple Summary: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a malignant tumor with a high incidence rate and the fourth leading cause of death in cancer patients. YEATS domain containing 2 (YEATS2) gene encodes a scaffolding subunit of the ATAC complex. We found that YEATS2 was upregulated in HCC tissues and was associated with poorer prognosis of patients. We found that overexpression of YEATS2 promoted the process of tumor proliferation, migration, and invasion. Mechanistically, we revealed that YEATS2 promoted liver cancer progression by activating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and remodeling the extracellular matrix. Over-fertilization has a significant impact on soil microbial properties and its ecological environment. However, the effects of long-term fertilization on microbial properties on a large scale are still vague. This meta-analysis collected 6211 data points from 109 long-term experimental sites in China to evaluate the effects of fertilizer type and fertilization duration, as well as soil and climate conditions, on the effect sizes on various microbial properties and indices. The organic fertilizers combined with straw (NPKS) and manure (NPKM) had the highest effect sizes, while the chemical fertilizers N (sole N fertilizer) and NPK (NPK fertilizer) had the lowest. When compared with the control, NPKM treatment had the highest effect size, while N treatment had the lowest effect size on MBN (111% vs. 19%), PLFA (110% vs. −7%), fungi (88% vs. 43%), Actinomycetes (97% vs. 44%), urease (77% vs. 25%), catalase (15% vs. −11%), and phosphatase (58% vs. 4%). NPKM treatment had the highest while NPK treatment had the lowest effect size on bacteria (123% vs. 33%). NPKS treatment had the highest while N treatment had the lowest effect sizes on MBC (77% vs. 8%) and invertase (59% vs. 0.2%). NPKS treatment had the highest while NPK treatment had the lowest effect size on the Shannon index (5% vs. 1%). The effect sizes of NPKM treatment were the highest predominantly in arid regions because of the naturally low organic carbon in soils of these regions. The effect sizes on various microbial properties were also highly dependent on soil texture. In coarse-textured soils the effect sizes on MBC and MBN peaked sooner compared with those of clayey or silty soils, although various enzymes were most active in silty soils during the first 10 years of fertilization. Effect sizes on microbial properties were generally higher under NPKM and NPKS treatments than under NPK or N treatments, with considerable effects due to climate conditions. The optimal field fertilizer regime could be determined based on the effects of fertilizer type on soil microorganisms under various climate conditions and soil textures. This will contribute to the microbial biodiversity and soil health of agricultural land. Such controls should be used for adaptation of fertilization strategies to global changes. Background. Exosomes can encapsulate lncRNA to mediate intercellular communication in cancer progression. Our study devoted to research the effect that long noncoding RNA Metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (lncRNA MALAT1) influence on cervical cancer (CC). Methods. MALAT1 and miR-370-3p levels in CC was assessed using qRT-PCR. CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry were devoted to confirm the influence on MALAT1 influencing the proliferation in cisplatin-resistant CC cells. Futher more, MALAT1, combined with miR-370-3p was confirmed by dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation assay. Results. In CC tissues, MALAT1 turned into substantially expressed, cisplatin-resistant cell lines, as well as exosomes. Cell proliferation was restrained and cisplatin-induced apoptosis was promoted by way of Knockout MALAT1. And promoted the miR-370-3p level, MALAT1 targeted miR-370-3p. Promoting effect of MALAT1 on cisplatin resistance of CC was partially reversed through miR-370-3p. In addition, STAT3 may induce up-regulation of MALAT1 expression in cisplatin-resistant CC cells. Sustaining beneficial gut symbioses presents a major challenge for animals, including holometabolous insects. Social insects may meet such challenges through partner fidelity, aided by behavioral symbiont transfer and transgenerational inheritance through colony founders. We address such potential through colony‐wide explorations across 13 eusocial, holometabolous insect species in the ant genus Cephalotes. Through amplicon sequencing, we show that previously characterized worker microbiomes are conserved in soldier castes, that adult microbiomes exhibit trends of phylosymbiosis, and that Cephalotes cospeciate with their most abundant adult‐enriched symbiont. We find, also, that winged queens harbor worker‐like microbiomes prior to colony founding, suggesting vertical inheritance as a means of partner fidelity. Whereas some adult‐abundant symbionts colonize larvae, larval gut microbiomes are uniquely characterized by environmental bacteria from the Enterobacteriales, Lactobacillales, and Actinobacteria. Distributions across Cephalotes larvae suggest more than 40 million years of conserved environmental filtering and, thus, a second sustaining mechanism behind an ancient, developmentally partitioned symbiosis. Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) tends to progress more rapidly in the type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) population and may be associated with dyslipidemia. This study explored the relationship of the atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) to coronary artery lesions in the T2DM population of different sexes. Methods: The research included 737 individuals who underwent coronary angiography from 2018 to 2019. The included clinical data and coronary angiographic findings were analyzed in the study. Results: Among the included male patients, those with coronary artery disease had a higher adjusted AIP (aAIP). In correlation analysis, the Gensini score was positively and linearly correlated with the aAIP in male T2DM patients. An aAIP cutoff value of 1.17 was determined from the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve of aAIP versus CAD risk in the study population. After dividing the aAIP into two groups by the cutoff value of aAIP, the group with the lower value was used as the control for logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the risk of CAD and multivessel lesions was higher when the aAIP was higher in men with T2DM, and this positive association was not affected by HbA1c, age, or the presence of glucose-lowering therapy. The ROC curve suggested that the aAIP can predict CAD risk in male T2DM patients. However, no relationship was found in the included female patients. Background: 2020 World Health Organization Classification of Female Genital Tumors removed ovarian seromucinous carcinoma as a distinct entity and recategorized it as ovarian endometrioid carcinoma with mucinous differentiation according to its pathological features. The aim of this study was to find whether ovarian seromucinous carcinoma truly represented a distinct category of ovarian tumors or an analogue of ovarian endometrioid carcinoma. Methods: Twelve patients diagnosed with ovarian seromucinous carcinoma and received surgery at the Xiangya Hospital from January 2010 to December 2019 were included in this study. Clinicopathological features such as clinical symptoms, serological indicators, surgical information, postoperative findings, chemotherapy sensitivity, follow-up information, HE staining and IHC staining images and other clinicopathologic features were collected. Using t-test and Kaplan Meier to perform statistical analysis. Pathological review was conducted using the 2014 World Health Organization criteria. All pathological diagnoses were reviewed by two experienced pathologists. Results: The age of 12 patients diagnosed with ovarian seromucinous carcinoma ranged from 23 to 68 years, with a median age of 46.8 years. Serum level of CA125 was elevated in 10 patients, and CA125/CEA ratio was less than 25 in 6 patients. Eleven patients underwent radical ovarian cancer surgery, and one patient underwent fertility preservation surgery. The progression free survival and overall survival of ovarian seromucinous carcinoma is 46.8 months and 50.2 months. Kaplan-Meier survival curve showed that the prognosis of ovarian seromucinous carcinoma and ovarian endometrioid carcinoma was significantly different (P = 0.03). The prognosis of ovarian seromucinous carcinoma and ovarian mucinous carcinoma was similar. Conclusion: Although ovarian seromucinous carcinoma and ovarian endometrioid carcinoma are similar in pathologic morphology, their clinical features and prognosis are significantly different. The signs, serum biomarker and prognosis of the ovarian seromucinous carcinoma are similar with ovarian mucinous carcinoma. Background: Animal and human studies suggest the gut microbiome is linked to diabetes but additional data are needed on the associations of the gut microbiome to specific diabetes characteristics. The aim of this study was to examine the associations of gut microbiome composition to insulin resistance [Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR)], duration of diabetes, and 4 stages of diabetes [normoglycemia, pre-diabetes, and diabetes with (+) and without (−) medication for diabetes]. Methods: Data are from a sub-sample (n = 605) of Black and White participants from the 30-year follow-up exam of the prospectively followed community-based Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults cohort (2015–2016; aged 48–60 years). Stool samples were collected and sequenced using the 16S ribosomal RNA method. Microbial measures included: α diversity (within-person), β diversity (between-person), and taxonomies. All analyses were adjusted for demographic, clinical, lifestyle factors, and use of relevant medications (full adjustment). Multivariate linear regression models were used to assess the association of diabetes characteristics with α diversity and genera abundance, while the association with β diversity was analyzed using permutational multivariate analysis of variance. Statistical significance was set to p-value < 0.05 for α and β diversity analyses and to q-value < 0.1 for genera abundance analyses. Results: There were 16.7% of participants with pre-diabetes, and 14.4% with diabetes (9% diabetes+) with median (interquartile range) diabetes duration of 5 (5–10) years. In the fully adjusted models, compared to those with no diabetes, longer diabetes duration and the diabetes + group had a lower α diversity. There were significant differences in β diversity across diabetes-related characteristics. A significantly reduced abundance of butyrate-producing genera was associated with higher HOMA-IR (ex., Anaerostipes and Lachnospiraceae_UCG.004), longer diabetes duration (ex., Agathobacter and Ruminococcus), and diabetes + (ex., Faecalibacterium and Romboutsia). Conclusions: Our results suggest that an adverse alteration of gut microbiome composition is related to higher insulin resistance, longer diabetes duration, and is present in those persons with diabetes using medications. These diabetes-related characteristics were also associated with lower levels of certain butyrate-producing bacteria that produce health-promoting short‐chain fatty acids. In order to make it more convenient to generate entangled state or judge the state prepared is entangled, we investigate three-qubit GHZ state and expand recurrence relation based on an expand recurrence relation of multi-qubit state. Furthermore, new forms of maximally five and seven-qubit entangled states are reconstructed via three-qubit GHZ state. The formation of co-amorphous by combining low molecular weight compounds with drugs is a relatively new technology in the pharmaceutical field, which can significantly improve the solubility, dissolution, and stability of poorly water-soluble drugs. However, in our previous studies, the binary co-amorphous system of andrographolide-oxymatrine (AP-OMT) was found to have obvious recrystallization and poor dissolution behavior. Therefore, in this study, we designed three stable ternary co-amorphous systems to improve the physicochemical properties of the binary co-amorphous system of AP-OMT. The ternary co-amorphous systems were prepared with AP, OMT, and trans -cinnamic acid (CA), p-hydroxycinnamic acid (pHCA), or ferulic acid (FA). Intermolecular hydrogen bonds were confirmed by spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulation. Solubility studies showed that the solubility of the ternary co-amorphous systems of AP-OMT-CA/pHCA/FA was significantly increased compared with that of crystalline AP. Dissolution experiments suggested that the ternary co-amorphous systems of AP-OMT-CA/pHCA/FA exhibited better dissolution behavior without significant recrystallization compared to the binary co-amorphous AP-OMT. The stability study confirmed that the ternary co-amorphous system of AP-OMT-CA/pHCA/FA maintained good physical stability in the long term for 18 months. In addition, pharmacological experiments revealed that the ternary co-amorphous systems of AP-OMT-CA/pHCA/FA have an excellent safety profile and its anti-Alzheimer's disease effects are significantly improved compared to that of the binary co-amorphous systems of AP-OMT. Moreover, this study also found that reducing the pKa value of low molecular weight co-formers would affect the intermolecular interactions and improve the solubility of drugs in the ternary co-amorphous systems. In conclusion, we have successfully prepared ternary co-amorphous systems of AP-OMT-CA/pHCA/FA by amorphization technique, which improves the physicochemical properties of the binary co-amorphous systems of AP-OMT and anti-Alzheimer's disease activity in the Caenorhabditis elegans model.
