Abstract

Environmental influence on the economy can be enhanced by consumption upgrading, transforming the key driver of economic development from supply to demand. This study constructs a model for consumption upgrading and applies threshold regression based on the susceptible–infectious–recovered (SIR) model, to explore the role of carbon emissions on high-quality economic development. The results reveal that the environmental input characterized by carbon emissions has an inverted U-shaped effect on high-quality economic development. A diminishing marginal rate of substitution of economic output demand to environment demand is observed during consumption upgrading. This study proves that environmental resources can assume both supply and demand roles for economic output and customers, which gradually emerge during consumption upgrading. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

This paper explores the impact of policies made by the State Administration of Radio, Film, and TV on China's transition to digital TV. The method of stakeholder analysis is used to present a theoretical study on the digital transition, with a quantitative model analyzing the welfare change of three segments of consumers. A simultaneous-equation model is used to study the characteristics of the demand and supply of digital TV in China. It is argued that the policy of uniform transition that ignores coordination among stakeholders does harm to consumers' benefits, and the healthy and sustainable development of China's cable digital TV industry. In an introductory phase of digital TV, educating consumers with convenient and pleasing experience is essential, and restructuring cable operators in a market-oriented way is also critical for developing countries like China.

Abstract

This paper present development rule of high-tech industry on the view of relationship of innovation feature factors and profit with statistics data from National Bureau of Statistics by Dual-density Dependent model and Density Dependence Model. It was found that the R&D investment did not generate direct promotion for profit growth, new products development investment (NPDI) also showed a weak promotion for profit increasing, R&D investment and new products development investment promote to growth each other.

41. Research on Reservation Allocation Decision Method Based on Neural Network.

Abstract

The paper describes management-decision functions in a reservation allocation problem (RAP), and the purpose is to discuss how some recently developed techniques are combined with neural network to provide a firm's management with important tools for this storage control. The research herein is not sophisticated from the mathematical point of view , as a matter of fact, borrows heavily from work already published in neural-network-research literature. An optimization technique using linear programming is essential in solving the discrete requirements case, and it has been used to solve this problem mathematically. Consequently, a reservation distribution is defined in the domain of storage management. We propose an exact and a heuristic way that transforms the RAP into a linear programming model, and compute the optimal solution in some methods in neural network. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
