1. Selecting Relay Nodes Based on Evaluation Results to Enhance P2P Broadcasting Efficiency

Abstract

The existence of node failures is inevitable in distributed systems, thus many P2P broadcasting networks adopt highly robust Flooding-based broadcast algorithms. High redundancy inevitably leads to high network resource consumption, and it may constrain the data transmission rate of the network. To address excessive network resource consumption, many studies have explored broadcasting mechanisms in structured P2P overlay networks. However, existing DHT-based algorithms cannot assess the quality of neighbors, which is crucial for broadcast efficiency. In this paper, we introduce the Neighbor Evaluation mechanism to select relay nodes based on their evaluated contributions. According to experimental results, the Neighbor Evaluation mechanism has a significant effect on both broadcast latency and coverage rate.

13. A deep learning based known plaintext attack method for chaotic cryptosystem

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a known-plaintext attack (KPA) method based on deep learning for traditional chaotic encryption scheme. We employ the convolutional neural network to learn the operation mechanism of chaotic cryptosystem, and accept the trained network as the final decryption system. To evaluate the attack performance of different networks on different chaotic cryptosystem, we adopt two neural networks to perform known-plaintext attacks on two distinct chaotic encryption schemes. The experimental results demonstrate the potential of deep learning-based method for known-plaintext attack against chaotic cryptosystem. Different from the previous known-plaintext attack methods, which were usually limited to a specific chaotic cryptosystem, a neural network can be applied to the cryptanalysis of various chaotic cryptosystems with deep learning-based approach, while several different networks can be designed for the cryptanalysis of chaotic cryptosystems. This paper provides a new idea for the cryptanalysis of chaotic image encryption algorithm.

16. Research on wheel-rail noise in rail corrugation road of urban rail transit

Abstract

As an efficient, fast, green and environmentally friendly means of transportation, subway vehicles account for the largest proportion of urban rail transit, and in large and medium-sized cities, the construction of subway is still in rapid development, but with the subway noise radiation problem, subway noise plagued by passengers, related operators and residents along the subway. In this study, the finite element analysis software ABAQUS is used to establish the coupled dynamics model of subway B-type vehicle-rail, and the acoustic radiation characteristics of wheels and rails are calculated based on the FE-BE and FE-SEA method, respectively, with the aim of analyzing the effects of different wavelength and depth parameters on the dynamics of vehicle response and wheel-rail noise radiation pattern when the vehicle is running on the rail corrugation road. The results of the study show that the effect of rail corrugation parameters on the power level of wheel and rail sound radiation is more significant in the low-frequency range, and the wheel-rail noise is mainly radiated by the wheel in the low-frequency range, while in the high-frequency range, it is mainly radiated by the rail.

Abstract

Under the excitement of wind loads, UHV transmission lines are subject to two types of vibration phenomena, namely, sub-span oscillation and galloping. This phenomenon can easily lead to conductor breakage, interphase flashover, fatigue damage to fittings, and even lead to tower collapse and disconnection accidents. The numerical analysis method is used to analyze the sub-span oscillation characteristics of the eight-bundle conductor during galloping. The results of the numerical simulation are compared to explore the influence of wind speed, span length, initial angle of wind attack, and turbulence intensity on the galloping line, looking for movement characteristics between each sub-conductor. The results provide a reference for research on the galloping principle of UHV transmission line and anti-oscillation to further improve the resistance of the power grid against disaster ability.

38. Influences of Snow Cover on the Thermal Regimes of Xing'an Permafrost in Northeast China in 1960s–2010s.

Abstract

The distributive characteristics of snow cover and their impacting mechanisms on ground thermal regimes in Northeast China remain evasive because of limited systematic studies. In this study, based on long‐term ground‐based observational data and auxiliary topographic data, geographically weighted regression kriging (GWRK) method and the temperature at the top of permafrost (TTOP) model were used to analyze the influences of snow cover duration (SCD) and average snow depth over the SCD (ASDSCD) on the thermal regimes of Xing'an permafrost in Northeast China in the 1960s–2010s. The results show a remarkable reduction of permafrost extent in Northeast China from the 1960s to 2010s, with an average reduction rate of 4.115 × 104 km2/decade. In permafrost regions, from the 1960s to 2010s, average SCD varied between 150 and 160 days, and the regional average of ASDSCD between 8 and 14 cm. Increases in ASDSCD led to a rise of TTOP. From the 1960s to 2010s, the regional average of ASDSCD increased by 3.53 cm, and that of TTOP by 2.02°C. The research results can provide scientific basis and data support for evaluating the responses of permafrost and cold region ecosystems to climate change in Northeast China. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

47. Betulinic acid protects against ovarian impairment by decreasing F-2 toxin-induced oxidative stress and inflammation associated with the downregulation of p38 expression in mice

Abstract

F-2 toxin is an estrogenic mycotoxin that causes reproductive disorders in animals. Betulinic acid (BA) is a natural pentacyclic lupane-structure triterpenoid that has diverse pharmacological activities. In this study, the antioxidative and anti-inflammatory effects of BA and its underlying mechanism are explored in F-2 toxin-triggered mouse ovarian damage. We found that BA alleviated the F-2 toxin-induced ovarian impairment by stimulating follicle growth, reducing inflammatory cell infiltration, repairing damaged mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum. Simultaneously, BA not only reversed F-2 toxin-induced reduction of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels in the serum, but also restrained the protein expression of the estrogen receptors α (ERα) and ERβ. Moreover, BA restored the balance of F-2 toxin-induced ovarian redox system disorders. Subsequently, we found that 0.25 mg/kg BA played an anti-inflammatory role in the F-2 toxin-induced ovarian impairment by decreasing interleukin-1β (IL-1β), IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) mRNA expression, as well as inhibiting p38 protein expression. These data demonstrated that BA exerts its protective effect on F-2 toxin-induced ovarian oxidative impairment and inflammation by inhibiting p38 expression, which implies a natural product-based medicine to ameliorate F-2 toxin-caused female reproductive toxicity and provides a detoxifying method for food contaminated by mycotoxin.
