Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the singularity near the degenerate points of the steady axisymmetric flow with general vorticity of an inviscid incompressible fluid acted on by gravity and with a free surface. We called the points on the free boundary at which the gradient of the stream function vanishes as the degenerate points. The main results in this paper give the different classifications of the singularity near the degenerate points on the free surface. More precisely, we obtained that at the stagnation points, the possible profiles must be a Stokes corner, or a horizontal cusp, or a horizontal flatness. At the degenerate points on the symmetric axis except the origin, the wave profile must be a cusp. At the origin, the possible wave profiles must be a Garabedian pointed bubble, or a horizontal cusp, or a horizontal flatness., Comment: 44 pages,6 figures

15. Structure of the Sediment and Crust in the Northeast North China Craton from Improved Sequential H-k Stacking Method

Abstract

H-k stacking method is a standard receiver-function method to detect crustal thickness. But this method can not be applied in low-velocity sedimentary basins. To solve this problem, we propose an improved sequential H-k stacking method. The improved method needs two sequential stacks. Firstly, sediment structure is calculated using converted waves and multiples on the bottom boundary of sediments. Secondly, the sedimentary results are applied to calculate the crustal structure. Theoretical calculations and “recovery tests” indicate that the improved method can obtain accurate estimates in sedimentary basins. With the teleseismic data of North China Craton, the structure of sediments is thick in the depression and thin in the uplifted area, which is consistent with Deep Seismic Sounding results. The crust to the west of the North-South Gravity Lineament is relatively thick and has a low average Poisson ratio, whereas the east is relatively thin and has a high average Poisson ratio. This result and the structural feature from data regression imply that the eastern crust of the North China Craton has experienced wide extension, which reflect the crustal response to the severe destruction and deformation in that area compared to the western crust.

17. Comparison of the clinical efficacy of donafinil and lenvatinib in the treatment of intermediate and advanced hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract

Objective: To compare the therapeutic effects of donafinil and lenvatinib in the treatment of patients with intermediate--advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: A total of 100 patients with intermediate--advanced HCC who received donafinib or lenvatinib treatment in Hechi First People’s Hospital, Hechi People’s Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Science and Technology, and other centers from January 2021 to June 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were classified into a donafinil group (n=50) and a lenvatinib group (n=50) according to the treatment method. The therapeutic effects and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared, as well as the changes in alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), Golgi glycoprotein 73 (GP-73), and glypican-3 (GPC3) before and after treatment. Results: The objective remission rate in the lenvatinib group was less than that in the donafenib group (20% VS 32%, P > 0.05). Disease control rates were higher in the donafinib group than in the lenvatinib group (70% VS 50%, P < 0.05). A comparison of survival time between the two groups showed that the survival rate and progression-free survival in the Donafenib group were higher than those in the Lunvatinib group (P < 0.05), and the main risk factor affecting the survival rate was the number of multiple tumors. There was no statistically significant difference in the rate of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). The levels of AFP, GP-73, and GPC3 in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Both donafenib and lenvatinib can effectively treat patients with middle and advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, and the local control rate of donafenib is higher than that of lenvatinib. The treatment of intermediate--advanced hepatocellular carcinoma patients with donafinib has better clinical efficacy than levatinib, which can effectively reduce the severity of patients’ disease and prolong their survival time.

Abstract

Localized magnetic heating in magnetic nanoparticles caused by an alternating magnetic field (AMF) can facilitate electrocatalytic reactions, which has become an emerging strategy to further enhance overall efficiency of catalysts and frontier in an electrocatalysis field. However, the investigation of AMF-assisted electrocatalysis is still in its infancy, and how to efficiently utilize magnetic heating in magnetic nanoparticles to boost electrocatalysis reactions is in great demand. In this work, a feasible design is proposed by using Néel relaxation, efficient local heating generated in superparamagnetic CoSe2 nanoparticles confined in an amorphous carbon matrix by AMF leading to improved catalytic performance. The rapid oxygen evolution reaction enhancement of CoSe2 nanoparticles responses to switched on/off AMF, indicating that the localized magnetic heating is generated in catalysts by Néel relaxation with magnetic moments of nanoparticles rapidly flipping under AMF. Our work inspires insight to design AMF-assisted electrocatalysts and inject power into the field of electrocatalysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
