An association between insulin resistance (IR) and depression has been identified in recent years. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between IR and depression in the general population. The population for this cross-sectional study consisted of adults participating in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 2005 and 2018. Insulin sensitivity was assessed using the Metabolic Score for IR (METS-IR) index, while depression was evaluated using the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ)-9. Logistic regression analyses, subgroup analyses, and dose-response curves were conducted to assess the association between the METS-IR index and depression. A total of 13,157 adults aged over 20 years were included in this study. After adjusting for potential confounders, it was observed that each unit increase in the METS-IR index was associated with a 1.1 percentage point increase in the prevalence of depression (OR = 1.011; 95 % CI: 1.008, 1.014). Patients in the 4th quartile of the METS-IR index had a higher likelihood of depression compared to those in the 1st quartile (OR = 1.386, 95 % CI: 1.239, 1.549). Stratified analyses demonstrated consistent results in all subgroups, except for men, patients under 40 years of age, and those with a history of cancer. Dose-response curves indicated a nonlinear relationship between the METS-IR index and the risk of depression, with an inflection point value of 32.443 according to threshold effect analysis. Transparent and proactive emergency communication plays a crucial role in effectively responding to public crises. The effectiveness of emergency management throughout a crisis event depends on the organizations the local government collaborates with in information release. This study reviewed the institutional basis of Chinese emergency information release and explored the mechanism of collaborative networks in press conferences through the Exponential Random Graph Model (ERGM). The findings suggest that (1) local governments in China are gradually forming the whole-of-society pattern of emergency information release by establishing network structures with multiple triangulations across different types of organizations, irrespective of their jurisdictional level; (2) while an emergency response plan defines the responsibilities of certain organizations, in practice, network actors extend beyond these designations; (3) past collaborations have a lasting impact on subsequent ones, and the key participants in emergency response tend to create path dependence through long-term collaboration. Background: Hesperidin is a citrus flavonoid with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant potential. However, its protective effects on bovine mammary epithelial cells (bMECs) exposed to oxidative stress have not been elucidated. Results: In this study, we investigated the effects of hesperidin on H2O2-induced oxidative stress in bMECs and the underlying molecular mechanism. We found that hesperidin attenuated H2O2-induced cell damage by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, increasing catalase (CAT) activity, and improving cell proliferation and mitochondrial membrane potential. Moreover, hesperidin activated the Keap1/Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway by inducing the nuclear translocation of Nrf2 and the expression of its downstream genes NQO1 and HO-1, which are antioxidant enzymes involved in ROS scavenging and cellular redox balance. The protective effects of hesperidin were blocked by the Nrf2 inhibitor ML385, indicating that they were Nrf2 dependent. Conclusions: Our results suggest that hesperidin could protect bMECs from oxidative stress injury by activating the Nrf2 signaling pathway, suggesting that hesperidin as a natural antioxidant has positive potential as a feed additive or plant drug to promote the health benefits of bovine mammary. A design method for the digital power grid multi-source data security collaborative management platform based on discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed. Based on the design concept of SOA, realize the overall design framework of the platform according to the design method of multi-layer technical system in the business presentation layer, business process and composition layer, service layer, component layer and resource layer, realize the basic layer design of the system management platform through the basic application platform design scheme of XML configuration, implement the query, processing and output representation of the grid's multivariate data using B/S architecture protocol, and use the Spring Framework The platform software architecture is implemented using J2EE technology and multi module component design scheme. The discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm is used for the fusion and scheduling of multi-source data in the digital power grid. The interface design and functional construction of the power grid management platform are implemented in the OMS system of the power grid main distribution network, and the logical model of the transformation project is constructed to achieve platform optimization and construction. Tests have shown that the designed digital power grid multi-source data security collaborative management platform has good human-machine interaction, strong data fusion scheduling ability, reduced resource and subsystem coupling, and supports the flexibility of physical deployment and maintenance. Odontoblastic differentiation of human stem cells from the apical papilla (hSCAPs) is crucial for continued root development and dentin formation in immature teeth with apical periodontitis (AP). Fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO) has been reported to regulate bone regeneration and osteogenic differentiation profoundly. However, the effect of FTO on hSCAPs remains unknown. This study aimed to identify the potential function of FTO in hSCAPs' odontoblastic differentiation under normal and inflammatory conditions and to investigate its underlying mechanism preliminarily. Histological staining and micro-computed tomography were used to evaluate root development and FTO expression in SD rats with induced AP. The odontoblastic differentiation ability of hSCAPs was assessed via alkaline phosphatase and alizarin red S staining, qRT-PCR, and Western blotting. Gain- and loss-of-function assays and online bioinformatics tools were conducted to explore the function of FTO and its potential mechanism in modulating hSCAPs differentiation. Significantly downregulated FTO expression and root developmental defects were observed in rats with AP. FTO expression notably increased during in vitro odontoblastic differentiation of hSCAPs, while lipopolysaccharide (LPS) inhibited FTO expression and odontoblastic differentiation. Knockdown of FTO impaired odontoblastic differentiation, whereas FTO overexpression alleviated the inhibitory effects of LPS on differentiation. Furthermore, FTO promoted the expression of secreted modular calcium-binding protein 2 (SMOC2), and the knockdown of SMOC2 in hSCAPs partially attenuated the promotion of odontoblastic differentiation mediated by FTO overexpression under LPS-induced inflammation. This study revealed that FTO positively regulates the odontoblastic differentiation ability of hSCAPs by promoting SMOC2 expression. Furthermore, LPS-induced inflammation compromises the odontoblastic differentiation of hSCAPs by downregulating FTO, highlighting the promising role of FTO in regulating hSCAPs differentiation under the inflammatory microenvironment. A newly developed SV2A radiotracer, 18F-SynVesT-1, was used in this study to investigate synaptic density and its association with Alzheimer's disease (AD) "A/T/N" biomarkers. The study included a cohort of 97 subjects, consisting of 64 patients with cognitive impairment (CI) and 33 individuals with normal cognition (CU). All subjects underwent 18F-SynVesT-1 PET/MR and 18F-florbetapir PET/CT scans. Additionally, a subgroup of individuals also underwent 18F-MK-6240, 18F-FDG PET/CT, plasma Aβ42/Aβ40 and p-tau181 tests. The differences in synaptic density between the groups and the correlations between synaptic density and AD "A/T/N" biomarkers were analyzed. The results showed that compared to the CU group, the CI with Aβ+ (CI+) group exhibited the most pronounced synapse loss in the hippocampus, with some loss also observed in the neocortex. Furthermore, synaptic density in the hippocampus and parahippocampal gyrus showed associations with AD biomarkers detected by both imaging and plasma tests in the CI group. The associations between synaptic density and FDG uptake and hippocampal volume were also observed in the CI+ group. In conclusion, the study demonstrated significant synaptic density loss, as measured by the promising tracer 18F-SynVesT-1, and its close correlation with "A/T/N" biomarkers in patients with both Alzheimer's clinical syndrome and pathological changes. Aim: The aim of this study was to systematically consolidate evidence on perspectives and thoughts of women living with HIV regarding the peer support they have encountered during pregnancy and after childbirth. Design: Mixed studies systematic review. Data Sources: PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane, PsycINFO, CINAHL, Scopus and ProQuest were sourced from 1981 to January 2022. Methods: A convergent qualitative synthesis approach was used to analyse the data. Quality appraisal was performed using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool. Results: A total of 12 studies were included, involving 1596 pregnant women and 1856 new mothers living with HIV. An overarching theme, 'From One Mother to Another: The Supportive Journey of Pregnant Women and New Mothers Living with HIV', and two themes were identified: (1) Emotional support buddies and extended networks and (2) Link bridge to healthcare support and self‐empowerment. Conclusion: Peer support played an indispensable role in the lives of women living with HIV and served as a complementary support system to professional and family support. Impact: What problem did the study address? Pregnant women and new mothers living with HIV face preconceived stigma and discrimination. What were the main findings? Peer support was perceived to be beneficial in enhancing emotional support among women living with HIV and was well‐accepted by them. Where and on whom will the research have an impact? In a permissionless social network environment, it is difficult for a user to assess the trustworthiness of other users. Thus, trust management becomes a crucial issue for securing social activities. The conventional method for assessing trust involves an authority to identify fakes. However, generative AI is gradually reducing the ability to distinguish by producing vivid news or images. Additionally, modern social networks are becoming flatter and more diverse, making conventional trust management methods unfeasible. There is an urgent need to design a suitable blockchain consensus for decentralized trust management. In this paper, we propose a novel three-layer autonomous trust management model for online social users based on blockchain technology and group decision making. Instead of solving a hash puzzle, which consumes too much computational resources for social network users, this paper proposes a lightweight and verifiable blockchain consensus proof of trust for decentralized trust management. This paper designs a novel coordinated control scheme to improve the control performance of voltage source converters (VSC) based multi-terminal high voltage direct current (MTDC) transmission network by merging the benefits of adaptive drooping and voltage margin controllers. In this proposed scheme, the droop coefficient is used to manage the DC voltage and maintain power sharing by shifting the control modes of the rectifiers and inverters in the presence of considerable power disturbances. The droop coefficient is planned based on the stability limit of DC voltage. The performance of the designed control scheme is compared to that of existing coordinated control and voltage margin droop control approaches. A ±400 kV five-terminal VSC-MTDC network is developed in PSCAD to verify the planned control method. Polymer materials formed by conventional metal‐ligand bonds have very low branch functionality, the crosslinker of such polymer usually consists of 2–4 polymer chains and a single metal ion. Thus, these materials are weak, soft, humidity‐sensitive, and unable to withstand their shape under long‐term service. In this work, a new hyperbranched metal–organic cluster (MOC) crosslinker containing up to 16 vinyl groups is prepared by a straightforward coordination reaction. Compared with the current typical synthesis of metal–organic cages (MOCs) or metal–organic‐polyhedra (MOP) crosslinkers with complex operations and low yield, the preparation of the MOC is simple and gram‐scale. Thus, MOC can serve as a high‐connectivity crosslinker to construct hyper‐crosslinked polymer networks. The as‐prepared elastomer exhibits mechanical robustness, creep‐resistance, and humidity‐stability. Besides, the elastomer possesses self‐healing and recyclability at mild condition as well as fluorescence stability. These impressive comprehensive properties are proven to originate from the hyper‐crosslinked topological structure and microphase‐separated morphology. Gallium oxide (Ga2O3) is a promising wide bandgap semiconductor that is viewed as a contender for the next generation of high-power electronics due to its high theoretical breakdown electric field and large Baliga's figure of merit. Here, we report a facile route of synthesizing β -Ga2O3 via direct oxidation conversion using solution-processed two-dimensional (2D) GaS semiconducting nanomaterial. Higher order of crystallinity in x-ray diffraction patterns and full surface coverage formation in scanning electron microscopy images after annealing were achieved. A direct and wide bandgap of 5 eV was calculated, and the synthesized β -Ga2O3 was fabricated as thin film transistors (TFT). The β -Ga2O3 TFT fabricated exhibits remarkable electron mobility (1.28 cm2 Vs−1) and a good current ratio (I on/ I off) of 2.06 × 105. To further boost the electrical performance and solve the structural imperfections resulting from the exfoliation process of the 2D nanoflakes, we also introduced and doped graphene in β -Ga2O3 TFT devices, increasing the electrical device mobility by ∼8-fold and thereby promoting percolation pathways for the charge transport. We found that electron mobility and conductivity increase directly with the graphene doping concentration. From these results, it can be proved that the β -Ga2O3 networks have excellent carrier transport properties. The facile and convenient synthesis method successfully developed in this paper makes an outstanding contribution to applying 2D oxide materials in different and emerging optoelectronic applications. Background: Aortic valve stenosis (AVS) is the most prevalent cardiac valve lesion in developed countries, and pathogenesis is closely related to aging. DNA methylation-based epigenetic clock is now recognized as highly accurate predictor of the aging process and associated health outcomes. This study aimed to explore the causal relationship between epigenetic clock and AVS by conducting a bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. Methods: Summary genome-wide association study statistics of epigenetic clocks (HannumAge, HorvathAge, PhenoAge, and GrimAge) and AVS were obtained and assessed for significant instrumental variables from Edinburgh DataShare (n = 34,710) and FinnGen biobank (cases = 9870 and controls = 402,311). The causal association between epigenetic clock and AVS was evaluated using inverse variance weighted (IVW), weighted median (WM), and MR-Egger methods. Multiple analyses (heterogeneity analysis, pleiotropy analysis, and sensitivity analysis) were performed for quality control assessment. Results: The MR analysis showed that the epigenetic age acceleration of HorvathAge and PhenoAge was associated with an increased risk of AVS (HorvathAge: OR = 1.043, P = 0.016 by IVW, OR = 1.058, P = 0.018 by WM; PhenoAge: OR = 1.058, P = 0.005 by IVW, OR = 1.053, P = 0.039 by WM). Quality control assessment proved our findings were reliable and robust. However, there was a lack of evidence supporting a causal link from AVS to epigenetic aging. Conclusion: The present MR analysis unveiled a causal association between epigenetic clocks, especially HorvathAge and PhenoAge, with AVS. Background: Neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy combination has shown remarkable advances in the management of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, the identification of a reliable biomarker for predicting the response to this chemo-immunotherapy regimen remains elusive. While computed tomography (CT) is widely utilized for response evaluation, its inherent limitations in terms of accuracy are well recognized. Therefore, in this study, we present a novel technique to predict the response of ESCC patients before receiving chemo-immunotherapy by testing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in exhaled breath. Methods: This study employed a prospective-specimen-collection, retrospective-blinded-evaluation design. Patients' baseline breath samples were collected and analyzed using high-pressure photon ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPPI-TOFMS). Subsequently, patients were categorized as responders or non-responders based on the evaluation of therapeutic response using pathology (for patients who underwent surgery) or CT images (for patients who did not receive surgery). Results: A total of 133 patients were included in this study, with 91 responders who achieved either a complete response (CR) or a partial response (PR), and 42 non-responders who had stable disease (SD) or progressive disease (PD). Among 83 participants who underwent both evaluations with CT and pathology, the paired t-test revealed significant differences between the two methods (p < 0.05). For the breath test prediction model using breath test data from all participants, the validation set demonstrated mean area under the curve (AUC) of 0.86 ± 0.06. For 83 patients with pathological reports, the breath test achieved mean AUC of 0.845 ± 0.123. Conclusions: Since CT has inherent weakness in hollow organ assessment and no other ideal biomarker has been found, our study provided a noninvasive, feasible, and inexpensive tool that could precisely predict ESCC patients' response to neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy combination using breath test based on HPPI-TOFMS. Limited research has investigated the changes in ethnic‐racial support that adolescents received during the COVID‐19 pandemic. This study collected 2‐week, daily data from 185 Midwest U.S. ethnic‐racial minority adolescents (14.60 years old; 52% female) at two waves, spanning about 1 year apart. For the Pandemic Cohort (936 days of data, 41 participants; 2019–2020), peer cultural socialization declined significantly from before to during the pandemic; family cultural socialization, as well as family and peer support against discrimination, became more positively associated with same‐day ethnic‐racial identity over the pandemic (β =.13–.16). No significant changes emerged for the pre‐Pandemic Cohort (3304 days of data, 144 participants; 2017–2019). Aims: This study investigated the relationships between specific types of social participation and well‐being variables (i.e., life satisfaction, positive affect, negative affect, symptoms of depression and anxiety) in Chinese older adults in Hong Kong. Methods: This study was a cross‐sectional study. A convenience sample of 341 participants aged 55–95 years (mean, 70.92; SD, 9.03) was recruited to complete a survey questionnaire during the COVID‐19 pandemic (between April and June 2022). Five hierarchical multiple regression analyses were conducted to examine the relationships between different types of social participation (physical, cultural, recreational, religious, and voluntary work) and outcome variables. Results: After controlling for covariates, it was revealed that only physical activities were associated with all outcome variables. Religious and cultural activities were positively related to positive affect, while an inverse relationship was found between recreational activities and anxiety. Conclusions: With the restrictions on social participation arising from the COVID‐19 pandemic, these findings suggest that promoting different types of social interactions might foster various aspects of well‐being in Chinese older adults. Little is known about association between neuropsychiatric symptoms and plasma biomarkers across the entire Alzheimer's continuum. A total of 305 individuals with amyloid-β (Aβ) deposition (determined by 18F-florbetapir PET) participated in this study, including cognitively normal controls (n = 53), subjective cognitive decline (SCD, n = 75), mild cognitive impairment (MCI, n = 74), and dementia (n = 103). Plasma biomarkers (Aβ 1-42 , Aβ 1-40 , total tau [t-tau], phosphorylated tau 181 [p-tau181], and neurofilament light [NfL]), apolipoprotein E (APOE) genotyping and Neuropsychiatric Inventory Questionnaire (NPI-Q) were completed. Neuropsychiatric symptoms were classified into four subsymdromes (hyperactivity, psychosis, affective, and apathy). Logistic regression analysis was conducted to investigate relationships between neuropsychiatric symptoms and plasma biomarkers. About one-third of cognitively unimpaired individuals (normal controls: 34.0 %, SCD: 28.0 %) reported one or more neuropsychiatric symptoms, and more in symptomatic stages such as MCI (40.5 %) and dementia (81.0 %). Plasma NfL significantly increased in dementia group compared to SCD and healthy controls, relating to a higher risk of aberrant motor behavior, anxiety, sleep disturbance, disinhibition, and euphoria. Older age (odds ratio [OR] = 1.079, 95 % confidence interval [CI] = 1.022–1.140, p = 0.006), lower cognitive score (OR = 0.846, 95%CI = 0.791–0.905, p < 0.001) and increased plasma NfL (OR = 1.021, 95%CI = 1.00–1.042, p = 0.041) could predict psychosis. No significant differences were found in plasma Aβ 1-42 /Aβ 1-40 , t-tau or p-tau181 across all groups, and none correlated with neuropsychiatric symptoms. In order to analyze the differences between the master curves of relaxation modulus E(t) and creep compliance J(t) obtained from discrete and continuous spectrum models, and to comprehensively evaluate the effect of basalt fiber content on the viscoelastic behavior of asphalt mixtures, complex modulus tests were conducted for asphalt mixtures with fiber content of 0%, 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively. Consequently, the master curves of Viscoelastic Parameters of asphalt mixtures were constructed according to the generalized Sigmoidal model(GSM) and the approximate Kramers-Kronig (K-K) relationship. Then, transformation of master curves using discrete and continuous spectrum models to obtain the models of E(t) and J(t) containing all viscoelastic information. Also, the accuracy of the models of E(t) and J(t) was evaluated. The results show that the addition of basalt fibers improves the strength, stress relaxation and deformation resistance of asphalt mixtures. It is worth noting that basalt fibers achieve the improvement of asphalt mixtures by changing their internal structure. Considering the different viscoelastic master curves at four dosages, the optimum fiber dosage was 0.2%. Background: Current hypertension guidelines recommend combination of an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor or angiotensin-receptor blocker with a calcium-channel blocker or thiazide diuretic as initial antihypertensive therapy in patients with monotherapy uncontrolled hypertension. However, to what extent these two different combinations are comparable in blood pressure (BP)-lowering efficacy and safety remains under investigation, especially in the Chinese population. We investigated the BP-lowering efficacy and safety of the amlodipine/benazepril and benazepril/hydrochlorothiazide dual therapies in Chinese patients. Methods: In a multi-center, randomized, actively controlled, parallel-group trial, we enrolled patients with stage 1 or 2 hypertension from July 2018 to June 2021 in 20 hospitals and community health centers across China. Of the 894 screened patients, 560 eligible patients were randomly assigned to amlodipine/benazepril 5/10 mg (n = 282) or benazepril/hydrochlorothiazide 10/12.5 mg (n = 278), with 213 and 212 patients, respectively, who completed the study and had a valid repeat ambulatory BP recording during follow-up and were included in the efficacy analysis. The primary outcome was the change from baseline to 24 weeks of treatment in 24-h ambulatory systolic BP. Adverse events including symptoms and clinically significant changes in physical examinations and laboratory findings were recorded for safety analysis. Results: In the efficacy analysis (n = 425), the primary outcome, 24-h ambulatory systolic BP reduction, was − 13.8 ± 1.2 mmHg in the amlodipine/benazepril group and − 12.3 ± 1.2 mmHg in the benazepril/hydrochlorothiazide group, with a between-group difference of − 1.51 (p = 0.36) mmHg. The between-group differences for major secondary outcomes were − 1.47 (p = 0.18) in 24-h diastolic BP, − 2.86 (p = 0.13) and − 2.74 (p = 0.03) in daytime systolic and diastolic BP, and − 0.45 (p = 0.82) and − 0.93 (p = 0.44) in nighttime systolic and diastolic BP. In the safety analysis (n = 560), the incidence rate of dry cough was significantly lower in the amlodipine/benazepril group than in the benazepril/hydrochlorothiazide group (5.3% vs 10.1%, p = 0.04). Conclusions: The amlodipine/benazepril and benazepril/hydrochlorothiazide dual therapies were comparable in ambulatory systolic BP lowering. The former combination, compared with the latter, had a greater BP-lowering effect in the daytime and a lower incidence rate of dry cough. Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03682692. Objective To investigate the association between serum melanin-concentrating hormone (MCH) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and overweight/obesity. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted. Outpatients and inpatients with T2DM in the Department of Endocrinology and metabolic Disease of the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University from June 2021 to April 2022, and those who underwent health examinations in the physical examination center of the hospital during the same period were selected as the research subjects. The height and weight of the study subjects were measured, and the body mass index (BMI) was calculated, and their MCH, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), fasting insulin (FINS), glycated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), triglyceride (TG), leptin were measured, and the homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) was calculated. According to the BMI of the study participants and their glycometabolic status, they were divided into normal control group (BMI<25 kg/m², normal glucose metabolism), overweight/obese group (BMI≥25 kg/m², normal glucose metabolism), and normal weight T2DM group (BMI<25 kg/m²) and T2DM combined with overweight/obese group (BMI≥25 kg/m²). One-way analysis of variance, Kruskal-Wallis H-test, or chi-square test were used for comparisons between groups. Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between MCH and other variables, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between MCH and overweight/obesity and T2DM. Results A total of 236 patients with T2DM and 244 patients with physical examination were included. There were 160 cases in the normal control group, 84 cases in the overweight/obese group, 93 cases in the normal weight T2DM group, and 143 cases in the T2DM combined with overweight/obese group. The level of MCH was the highest in the normal weight T2DM group (14.18±2.28) ng/ml, and the lowest in the normal control group was (9.37±2.18) ng/ml (P<0.001). Compared with the normal control group, the MCH of overweight/obese group, normal weight T2DM group and T2DM combined with overweight/obese group were all higher (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in MCH between normal weight group T2DM group and T2DM combined with overweight/obese group (P>0.05). The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that serum MCH levels were positively correlated with HOMA-IR (r=0.285), FPG (r=0.551), HbA1c (r=0.569), TG (r=0.317) and leptin (r=0.511) (all P<0.001). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that MCH the risk of overweight/obesity, normal weight T2DM, T2DM combined overweight/obesity remained higher in those with high MCH compared with the normal control group after adjusting for multiple confounding factors, with OR values (95%CI) of 1.336 (1.031-1.733), 2.095 (1.594-2.752), and 1.858 (1.402-2.463), respectively. Aircraft icing due to severe cold and local factors increases the risk of flight delays and safety issues. Therefore, this study focuses on optimizing de-icing allocation and adapting to dynamic flight schedules at medium to large airports. Moreover, it aims to establish a centralized de-icing methodology employing unmanned de-icing vehicles to achieve the dual objectives of minimizing flight delay times and enhancing airport de-icing efficiency. To achieve these goals, a mixed-integer bi-level programming model is formulated, where the upper-level planning guides the allocation of de-icing positions and the lower-level planning addresses the collaborative scheduling of the multiple unmanned de-icing vehicles. In addition, a two-stage algorithm is introduced, encompassing a Mixed Variable Neighborhood Search Genetic Algorithm (MVNS-GA) as well as a Multi-Strategy Enhanced Heuristic Greedy Algorithm (MSEH-GA). Both algorithms are rigorously assessed through horizontal comparisons. This demonstrates the effectiveness and competitiveness of these algorithms. Finally, a model simulation is conducted at a major northwestern hub airport in China, providing empirical evidence of the proposed approach's efficiency. The results show that research offers a practical solution for optimizing the use of multiple unmanned de-icing vehicles in aircraft de-icing tasks at medium to large airports. To reveal the utilization value of leaf, stem, and root of Artemisia argyi, a rapid online liquid microextraction combined with a high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with 2,2‐nitrogen‐di (3‐ethyl‐benzothiazole‐6‐sulfonic acid) diammonium salt antioxidant assay system was established for analysis of antioxidants in the leaf, stem, and root of A. argyi, and a calibration quantitative method of antioxidant activity with equivalent chlorogenic acid was proposed. Thirty‐three positive peaks were identified; among them, 12 compounds were found that possess good antioxidant activity including eleven organic acids (components 2–4, 8, 11–14, 17, 19, and 21) and one flavonoids (component 22). The proposed calibration quantitative method avoided the influence of content of compound and compared the extent of radical scavenging capacity of five antioxidant compounds, which were ranked as follow: 3,5‐dicaffeoylquinic acid > 3,4‐dicaffeoylquinic acid ≈ 4,5‐dicaffeoylquinic acid > 1,4‐dicaffeoylquinic acid > chlorogenic acid. In conclusion, this study provided composition and biological potential for the future development of the leaf, stem, and root of A. argyi. It is believed that the online liquid microextraction combined with high‐performance liquid chromatography based antioxidant assay system can be widely used for the rapid screening of natural antioxidant components in the different parts of natural products. We investigated plasma angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) concentration in a population sample and the ACE2 expression quantitated with the diaminobenzidine mean intensity in the lung tissue in patients who underwent lung surgery. The study participants were recruited from a residential area in the suburb of Shanghai for the plasma ACE2 concentration study (n = 503) and the lung tissue samples were randomly selected from the storage in Ruijin Hospital (80 men and 78 age-matched women). In analyses adjusted for covariables, men had a significantly higher plasma ACE2 concentration (1.21 vs. 0.98 ng/mL, p = 0.027) and the mean intensity of ACE2 in the lung tissue (55.1 vs. 53.9 a.u., p = 0.037) than women. With age increasing, plasma ACE2 concentration decreased (p = 0.001), while the mean intensity of ACE2 in the lung tissue tended to increase (p = 0.087). Plasma ACE2 concentration was higher in hypertension than normotension, especially treated hypertension (1.23 vs. 0.98 ng/mL, p = 0.029 vs. normotension), with no significant difference between users of RAS inhibitors and other classes of antihypertensive drugs (p = 0.64). There was no significance of the mean intensity of ACE2 in the lung tissue between patients taking and those not taking RAS inhibitors (p = 0.14). Neither plasma ACE2 concentration nor the mean intensity of ACE2 in the lung tissue differed between normoglycemia and diabetes (p ≥ 0.20). Background: The use of a gradient echo spin echo (GESE) method to obtain rapid T2 and T2* estimation in the heart has been proposed. The effect of acquisition parameter settings on T2 and T2* bias and precision have not been investigated in depth. Purpose: To understand factors impacting the quantification of T2 and T2* values with a gradient echo spin echo (GESE) method using echo planar imaging (EPI) readouts in a reduced field of view acquisition. Methods: The GESE method is implemented with a reduced field‐of‐view using an outer volume suppression (OVS) technique to minimize the time for multi‐echo EPI readouts. The number of EPI readouts (images) for the GESE is optimized using Cramer‐Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) and Monte Carlo simulations with a nonlinear least‐square (NLLS) estimator. The SNR requirements were studied using the latter simulation method for a selected range of T2 and T2* values and T2/T2* ratios. Two healthy control subjects were imaged with the proposed GESE sequence and evaluated with the NLLS estimation method. In addition, the proposed OVS method was compared with a saturation bands OVS method in one subject. Clinical T2 and T2* mappings were used as the reference. Results: The optimal number of EPI readouts is five and the performance is slightly better when the refocusing pulse is placed between the 2nd and 3rd readouts. The SNR requirement for achieving a target bias < 1 ms and standard deviation (SD) < 5 ms is more demanding when T2/T2* ratio increases. The minimum SNR requirement in the GESE acquisition should vary from 6 to 20 depending on specific myocardial T2 and T2* values at 3T. The T2 and T2* estimates using the proposed OVS method and the saturation bands OVS method are both similar to the reference. Conclusion: The GESE sequence with five EPI readouts is a feasible and efficient technique that can estimate T2 and T2* values in the septal myocardium within a heartbeat when the SNR requirement can be satisfied. Since the Late Cenozoic, tectonic deformation has been intense in the Longxian–Baoji Fault Zone (LBFZ), which is at the intersection of the southwest margin of the Ordos Block, the northeast margin of the Tibet Plateau, and the Qinling Orogenic Belt. To evaluate the relative tectonic activity within the LBFZ and discuss the influence of the northeastward expansion of the Tibetan Plateau on the geomorphological evolution of the LBFZ, we extracted data of the Qianhe, Hengshuihe, and Jinlinghe River Basins from the ASTER GDEM and analyzed the geomorphic indices, including the hypsometric integral (HI), standardized stream length-gradient index (SL/K) and Hack profile, elongation ratio (Re), the drainage basin asymmetry factor (AF) and valley floor width-to-height ratio (VF). Through geomorphic indices and field investigations, we found that the LBFZ has experienced relatively high tectonic activity. Combined with the index of relative active tectonics (IAT), we compared the tectonic activity strengths of the four major faults in the study area. Among them, the tectonic activities of the Longxian-Qishan Fault (LQF) and the Taoyuan-Guichuansi Fault (TGF) are the highest. The morphology and AF values of the drainage basin of the southwest side of the study area indicate the influence of northwest-southeast compressive stress. The northeastward expansion of the Tibetan Plateau affected the LBFZ region, and the stress brought about by it controlled the tectonic deformation in the region and sculpted the modern landscape. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which affects multiple organs, is causing an unprecedented global public health crisis. Most COVID-19 patients recover gradually upon appropriate interventions. Viruses were reported to utilize the small extracellular vesicles (sEVs), containing a cell-specific cargo of proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids, to escape the attack from the host's immune system. This study aimed to examine the sEVs lipid profile of plasma of recovered COVID-19 patients (RCs). Plasma sEVs were separated from 83 RCs 3 months after discharge without underlying diseases, including 18 recovered asymptomatic patients (RAs), 32 recovered moderate patients (RMs), and 33 recovered severe and critical patients (RSs), and 19 healthy controls (HCs) by Total Exosome Isolation Kit. Lipids were extracted from sEVs and then subjected to targeted liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. The size, concentration, and distribution of sEVs did not differ in RCs and HCs as validated by transmission electron microscopy, nanoparticle tracking analysis, and immunoblot analysis. Fifteen subclasses of 508 lipids were detected in plasma sEVs from HCs, RAs, RMs, and RSs, such as phosphatidylcholines (PCs) and diacylglycerols (DAGs), etc. Total lipid intensity displayed downregulation in RCs compared with HCs. The relative abundance of DAGs gradually dropped, whereas PCs, lysophosphatidylcholines, and sphingomyelins were higher in RCs relative to HCs, especially in RSs. 88 lipids out of 241 in sEVs of RCs were significantly different and a conspicuous increase was revealed with disease status. The sEVs lipids alternations were found to be significantly correlated with the clinical indices in RCs and HCs, suggesting that the impact of COVID-19 on lipid metabolism lingered for a long time. The lipid abnormalities bore an intimate link with glycerophospholipid metabolism and glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor biosynthesis. Furthermore, the lipidomic analysis showed that RCs were at higher risk of developing diabetes and sustaining hepatic impairment. The abnormality of immunomodulation in RCs might still exist. The reduction of dinitrogen to ammonia catalyzed by nitrogenase involves a complex series of events, including ATP hydrolysis, electron transfer, and activation of metal clusters for N2 reduction. Early evidence shows that an essential part of the mechanism involves transducing information between the nitrogenase component proteins through conformational dynamics. Here, millisecond time-resolved hydrogen-deuterium exchange mass spectrometry was used to unravel peptide-level protein motion on the time scale of catalysis of Mo-dependent nitrogenase from Azotobacter vinelandii. Normal mode analysis calculations complemented this data, providing insights into the specific signal transduction pathways that relay information across protein interfaces at distances spanning 100 Å. Together, these results show that conformational changes induced by protein docking are rapidly transduced to the active site, suggesting a specific mechanism for activating the metal cofactor in the enzyme active site. The reduction of dinitrogen to ammonia catalyzed by nitrogenase involves long-range conformational changes within the enzyme complex, however, direct biophysical evidence of communication between the Fe protein and the MoFe protein is lacking. Precipitates are the primary source of strength for the Al-Mg-Si alloy. Aluminum alloy in the peak-aged state mainly contains β" and β' precipitates. Most of the literature has only considered the strengthening effect of β". Here, we develop a single-crystal intensity model including both precipitate enhancement effects for the first time. This model was subsequently implemented into a crystal plastic finite-element method to model the uniaxial tensile process of a polycrystalline aggregate model of Al-Mg-Si alloy. The simulation results for uniaxial stretching are in good agreement with the experimental results, confirming that the constitutive parameters used for the single-crystal strength model with two precipitates are based on realistic physical implications. Furthermore, by comparing the uniaxial tensile simulation results of a peak-aged alloy considering the actual precipitated phase composition of the alloy with those assuming that the precipitated phase is only the β" phase, the predicted tensile strength of the former is around 5.65% lower than that of the latter, suggesting that the two kinds of precipitation should be separately considered when simulating the mechanical response of Al-Mg-Si alloy. The global coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis has exerted significant psychological impacts on university students who have faced drastic changes in the learning mode and suspension of classes. Despite these challenges, many students maintained subjective well-being. In this study, we examined the role of "hope" as a potential protector to maintain their subjective well-being when facing adversity during this global crisis. Specifically, we explored the mediating role of two hope components (agency thinking and pathways thinking) on the association of positive emotions and life satisfaction among Chinese university students. We conducted an online survey at a local university and recruited a total of 315 undergraduates from the humanities, creative arts, and social sciences programs through convenience sampling. Participants confirmed their informed consent and completed a set of self-administered questionnaires measuring positive emotions, hope, life satisfaction, and demographic variables. The results of mediation testing indicated that, during a global crisis such as COVID-19, positive emotions indirectly influenced life satisfaction through agency thinking rather than pathways thinking. The findings highlight the importance of agency thinking among Chinese university students in adverse situations and provide valuable insights for psychological interventions during a crisis. Since the 1950s, there have been major changes in the scope, value, and organization of the ornamental plant industry. With fewer individual producers and a strong trend toward consolidation and globalization, increasing quantities of diverse plant genera and species are being shipped internationally. Many more ornamentals are propagated vegetatively instead of by seed, further contributing to disease spread. These factors have led to global movement of pathogens to countries where they were not formerly known. The emergence of some previously undescribed pathogens has been facilitated by high-throughput sequencing, but biological studies are often lacking, so their roles in economic diseases are not yet known. Case studies of diseases in selected ornamentals discuss the factors involved in their spread, control measures to reduce their economic impact, and some potential effects on agronomic crops. A growing body of research has shown that parent–child math activities predict children's math competence. However, observational studies are limited. This study investigated maternal and paternal scaffolding behaviours in three types of parent–child math activities (i.e., worksheet, game and application activities) and their associations with children's formal and informal math abilities. Ninety‐six 5–6‐year‐olds participated in this study with their mothers and fathers. All children completed three activities with their mothers and three comparable activities with their fathers. Parental scaffolding was coded for each parent–child dyadic activity. Children's formal and informal math abilities were tested individually using the Test of Early Mathematics Ability. Results showed that both mothers' and fathers' scaffolding in application activities significantly predicted their children's formal math ability even after controlling for background variables and their scaffoldings in the other two types of math activities. Purpose: The objective of this study was to evaluate factors influencing voriconazole (VRC) plasma trough concentrations and provide research data for optimizing VRC dosing in Chinese paediatric patients. Methods: Medical records of inpatients were reviewed retrospectively. Multivariate linear regression analysis was used to identify the factors contributing to the variability of VRC plasma trough concentrations. Results: A total of 250 VRC plasma trough concentrations from 131 paediatric patients were included in the analysis. The median VRC plasma trough concentration was 1.28 mg·L−1 (range, 0.02 to 9.69 mg·L−1). The target range was achieved in 51.6% of patients, while subtherapeutic and supratherapeutic concentrations were obtained in 40.4% and 8.0% of paediatric patients, respectively. The most commonly identified cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) phenotype was intermediate metabolizers (IMs) (48.9%), followed by normal metabolizers (NMs) (40.5%) and poor metabolizers (PMs) (10.7%), but no ultrarapid metabolizers (UMs) were observed in our study. VRC plasma trough concentrations adjusted for dose (Cmin/D) were significantly lower in both NMs and IMs compared to PMs (PN-P < 0.001 and PI-P = 0.010, respectively). The dosage of VRC required to achieve the therapeutic range was related to age, with children aged < 6 years needing a significantly higher oral dose of VRC. The oral and intravenous maintenance doses needed to reach the therapeutic range were significantly lower than the recommended maintenance dose (P < 0.001, P < 0.001). Factors such as CYP2C19 polymorphisms, the combination of omeprazole, levels of albumin and alanine aminotransferase, were found to affect VRC exposure and explained some of the variability. Conclusions: The VRC plasma trough concentration is significantly influenced by the CYP2C19 phenotype. The recommended maintenance dose for pediatric patients may not be appropriate for Chinese patients. To increase the probability of achieving the therapeutic range for VRC plasma trough concentration, the administration of VRC should consider the age of paediatric patients and the presence of CYP2C19 polymorphisms. A theoretical model that can efficiently calculate the refractive index response of semiconductors under ultrafast X-ray radiation is established based on the photorefractive effect of semiconductors. The proposed model is used to interpret X-ray diagnostics experiments, and the results are in good agreement with experiments. In the proposed model, a rate equation model of free carrier density calculation is adopted with the X-ray absorption cross-sections calculated by atomic codes. The two-temperature model is used to describe the electron-lattice equilibration and the extended Drude model is applied to calculate the transient refractive index change. It is found that faster time response can be achieved for semiconductors with shorter carrier lifetime and sub-picosecond resolution can be obtained for InP and Al0.5Ga0.5As. The material response time is not sensitive to X-ray energy and the diagnostics can be used in the 1–10 keV energy range. Previous studies have demonstrated evidence of latent skill continuity even in tests intentionally designed for measurement of binary skills. In addition, the assumption of binary skills when continuity is present has been shown to potentially create a lack of invariance in item and latent ability parameters that may undermine applications. In this article, we examine measurement of growth as one such application, and consider multidimensional item response theory (MIRT) as a competing alternative. Motivated by prior findings concerning the effects of skill continuity, we study the relative robustness of cognitive diagnostic models (CDMs) and (M)IRT models in the measurement of growth under both binary and continuous latent skill distributions. We find CDMs to be a less robust way of quantifying growth under misspecification, and subsequently provide a real-data example suggesting underestimation of growth as a likely consequence. However, most reported photo responsive CO2 adsorbents relied on metal organic framework (MOFs) functionalisation with photochromic moieties, and MOF adsorbents still suffered from chemically and thermally unstable issues. Thus, further metal free and highly stable organic photoresponsive adsorbents are necessary to be developed. CTFs, because of their high porosity and stability, have attracted great attention for CO2 capture. Considering the high CO2 uptake capacity and structural tunability of CTFs, it suggests high potential to fabricate the photoswitching CTF materials by the same functionalisation method as MOFs. Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) possess remarkable self-renewal and multilineage differentiation ability. PER2, an essential circadian molecule, regulates various physiological processes. Evidence suggests that circadian rhythm and PER2 participate in physiological functions of DPSCs. However, the influence of PER2 on DPSCs' differentiation remains largely unknown. This study aimed to explore the effect and potential mechanism of PER2 on hDPSCs' differentiation. Dental pulp tissues were extracted, and hDPSCs were cultured for in vitro and in vivo experiments. Dorsal subcutaneous transplantation was performed in 6-week-old male BALB/c mice. The hDPSCs' odontoblastic/osteogenic differentiation was assessed, and mitochondrial metabolism was evaluated. The results indicated PER2 expression increasing during hDPSCs' odontoblastic/osteogenic differentiation. Gain- and loss-of function studies confirmed that PER2 promoted alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, mineralized nodules deposition, mRNA expression of DSPP, DMP1, COL1A1 and protein expression of DSPP and DMP1 in hDPSCs. Furthermore, PER2 enhanced collagen deposition, osteodentine-like tissue formation and DSPP expression in vivo. Mitochondrial metabolic evaluation aimed to investigate the mechanism of PER2-mediated hDPSC odontoblastic/osteogenic differentiation, which showed that PER2 increased ATP synthesis, elevated mitochondrial membrane potential and changed expression of proteins regulating mitochondrial dynamics. Nowadays, the load monitoring system is an important element in smart buildings to reduce energy consumption. Nonintrusive load monitoring (NILM) is utilized to determine the power consumption of each appliance in smart homes. The main problem of NILM is how to separate each appliance's power from the signal of aggregated consumption. In this regard, this paper presents a combination between particle swarm optimization (PSO) and artificial neural networks (ANNs) to identify electrical appliances for demand‐side management. ANN is applied in NILM as a load identification task, and PSO is used to train the ANN algorithm. This combination enhances the NILM technique's accuracy, which is further verified by experiments on different datasets like Reference Energy Disaggregation Dataset, UK Domestic Appliance‐Level ElectricityUK‐DALE, and Indian data for Ambient Water and electricity Sensing. The high accuracy of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparisons with state of the art methods. Compared with other approaches, the total mean absolute error has decreased from 39.3566 to 18.607. Also, the normalized root mean square error (NRMSE) method has been used to compare the measured and predicted results. The NRMSE is in the range of 1.719%–16.514%, which means perfect consistency. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach for home energy management. Furthermore, customer behavior has been studied, considering energy costs during day hours. The widespread of rumors on social media, carrying unreal or even malicious information, brings negative effects on society and individuals, which makes the automatic detection of rumors become particularly important. Most of the previous studies focused on text mining using supervised models based on feature engineering or deep learning models. In recent years, another parallel line of works, which focuses on the spatial structure of message propagation, provides an alternative and promising solution. However, these existing methods in this parallel line largely overlooked the temporal structure information associated with the spatial structure in message propagation. Actually the addition of temporal structure information can make the message propagations be classified from the perspective of spatial–temporal structure, a more fine-grained perspective. Under these observations, this paper proposes a spatial–temporal structure neural network for rumor detection, termed as STS-NN, which treats the spatial structure and the temporal structure as a whole to model the message propagation. All the STS-NN units are parameter shared and consist of three components, including spatial capturer, temporal capturer and integrator, to capture the spatial–temporal information for the message propagation. Tocopherols (Tocs) are a kind of lipid-soluble substance required for the normal physiological function of mammals, particularly their antioxidant capacity. Rapeseed (Brassica napus) oil is an important source of exogenous Tocs. However, the genotypic differences in the total Toc contents, the Toc composition in the seeds, and the molecular markers associated with the seed Toc remain largely unknown. Here, we selected 290 rapeseed accessions based on the resequencing of 991 genomes in a worldwide collection of rapeseed germplasm. The contents of the four Toc isoforms, namely, α-, β-, γ-, and δ-Tocs, were also measured. Results show that the total Toc content and the γ-/α-Toc ratio varied greatly across the accessions from 85.34 to 387.00 mg/mg and 0.65 to 5.03, respectively. Furthermore, we conducted genome-wide association studies on the Tocs, which identified 28 and 73 single nucleotide polymorphisms significantly associated with the variation of total Toc content and γ-/α-Toc ratio, respectively. Bna.C02.VTE4, a putative orthologue of Arabidopsis VITAMIN E DEFICIENT 4, was tightly associated with the γ-/α-Toc ratio. This study recommends specific genetic materials with particularly high total Toc and/or low γ-/α-Toc ratio and the molecular markers and haplotypes associated with these quality traits for rapeseed breeding. Polygoni Cuspidati Rhizoma et Radix (PCR), the rhizome and root of Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc., has been used as an herbal medicine for a long time. In this study, the ultrafiltration combined with high performance liquid chromatography (UF-HPLC) method was developed to screen tyrosinase (TYR), α-glucosidase (α-GLU), and xanthine oxidase (XOD) inhibitors from PCR. Firstly, the inhibitory activity of 50% methanol PCR extract on TYR, α-GLU, XOD, and acetylcholinesterase (ACHE) was tested. The extract showed a good inhibition on the enzymes, except for ACHE. Therefore, UF-HPLC experiments were carried out to screen TYR, α-GLU, and XOD inhibitors from PCR extract. Seven potential bioactive components were discovered, including methylgallate (1), 1,6-di-O-galloyl-D-glucose (2), polydatin-4′-O-D-glucoside (3), resveratrol-4′-O-D-glucoside (4), polydatin (5), malonyl glucoside resveratrol (6), and resveratrol-5-O-D-glucoside (7). Most of them were found as enzyme inhibitors from PCR for the first time, except polydatin (5), which had been reported as an α-GLUI in PCR in the literature. Finally, molecular docking analysis was applied to validate the interactions of these seven potential active components with the enzymes. Compounds 1–7 were proven as TYR inhibitors, compounds 2, 4–7 were identified as XOD inhibitors, and compounds 4–6 were confirmed as α-GLU inhibitors. To evaluate a novel 2D simultaneous multi-slice (SMS) myocardial perfusion acquisition and compare directly to a published quantitative 3D stack-of-stars (SoS) acquisition. A hybrid saturation recovery radial 2D SMS sequence following a single saturation was created for the quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF). This sequence acquired three slices simultaneously and generated an arterial input function (AIF) using the first 24 rays. Validation was done in a novel way by alternating heartbeats between the hybrid 2D SMS and the 3D SoS acquisitions. Initial studies were done to study the effects of using only every other beat for the 2D SMS in two subjects, and for the 3D SoS in four subjects. The proposed alternating acquisitions were then performed in ten dog studies at rest, four dog studies at adenosine stress, and two human resting studies. Quantitative MBF analysis was performed for 2D SMS and 3D SoS separately, using a compartment model. Acquiring every-other-beat data resulted in 6 ± 5% ("ideal") and 11 ± 8% ("practical") perfusion changes for both 2D SMS and 3D SoS methods. For alternating acquisitions, 2D SMS and 3D SoS quantitative perfusion values were comparable for both the twelve rest studies (2D SMS: 0.69 ± 0.16 vs 3D: 0.69 ± 0.15 ml/g/min, p = 0.55) and the four stress studies (2D SMS: 1.28 ± 0.22 vs 3D: 1.30 ± 0.24 ml/g/min, p = 0.61). Every-other-beat acquisition changed estimated perfusion values relatively little for both sequences. The quantitative hybrid radial 2D SMS myocardial first-pass perfusion imaging sequence gave results similar to 3D perfusion when compared directly with an alternating beat acquisition. Introduction: Youthful blood environment was shown to decelerate the aging process of the kidney and to attenuate senile renal fibrosis in a young-old parabiotic animal model; in addition, we identified a stem cell factor (SCF) that is closely linked with the process. This research was to investigate the effect of youthful blood environment on senile renal interstitial fibrosis and the role of SCF. Methods: We bred SCF receptor c-Kit gene loss-of-function Wps/Wps mice and established a combination mice model that was subjected to unilateral ureteral obstructive (UUO) and parabiotic surgeries. Parabiotic mice were divided into isochronic parabiotic (young-young [Y-IP] and old-old [O-IP]) and heterochronic parabiotic (young-old [HP]) groups. UUO surgery was performed in one of the parabiotic pairs in the IP group (Y-IPuuo and O-IPuuo) and in the elderly mice in the HP group (O-HPuuo). In order to study the role of SCF/c-kit on renal interstitial fibrosis, UUO surgery was performed in wildtype (WT) and Wps/Wps mice. Results: Fourteen days after UUO surgery, the kidney interstitial fibrosis area, kidney function, and the expressions of SCF/c-Kit, pNF-κB, and fibrosis-related proteins in the O-HPuuo group were significantly lower than those in the Ouuo and O-IPuuo groups. Compared with WT UUO mice, the expressions of pNF-κB and fibrosis-related proteins and the kidney function were all significantly decreased in Wps/Wps UUO mice. DNA damage in astronauts induced by cosmic radiation poses a major barrier to human space exploration. Cellular responses and repair of the most lethal DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) are crucial for genomic integrity and cell survival. Post-translational modifications (PTMs), including phosphorylation, ubiquitylation, and SUMOylation, are among the regulatory factors modulating a delicate balance and choice between predominant DSB repair pathways, such as non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) and homologous recombination (HR). In this review, we focused on the engagement of proteins in the DNA damage response (DDR) modulated by phosphorylation and ubiquitylation, including ATM, DNA-PKcs, CtIP, MDM2, and ubiquitin ligases. The involvement and function of acetylation, methylation, PARylation, and their essential proteins were also investigated, providing a repository of candidate targets for DDR regulators. However, there is a lack of radioprotectors in spite of their consideration in the discovery of radiosensitizers. We proposed new perspectives for the research and development of future agents against space radiation by the systematic integration and utilization of evolutionary strategies, including multi-omics analyses, rational computing methods, drug repositioning, and combinations of drugs and targets, which may facilitate the use of radioprotectors in practical applications in human space exploration to combat fatal radiation hazards. To improve our understanding of wave dispersion and adsorption signature of organic shales, we select a set of vertical shale samples cored from different formations and conduct the forced-oscillation measurements in seismic frequencies of 2–800 Hz at the oven-dried conditions. The results demonstrated that both Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio of immature Barnett and Eagle Ford shales and mature Mancos shale remain roughly constant and the extensional attenuations are also insignificant at the entire frequency band. However, the mature Jungar shale exhibits strong dispersions with the magnitude of 23.4 per cent for Young's modulus at the confining pressure of 3.4 MPa. The dispersion and magnitude of Jungar shale overall exhibit a decreasing trend with increasing pressure, but still maintain strong attenuation at the confining pressure of 20.8 MPa. It is found that the single parameter of TOC, thermal maturity and clay content are not the controlling factors of wave dispersion and adsorption signatures. Instead, the geochemical index |${\rm{TOC}} \times {S_1}/({S_1}{\rm{ + }}{S_2})$| is positively correlated with dispersion and attenuation magnitude, suggesting that organic richness and maturity level jointly control the wave adsorption characteristics. Geochemical analysis and phenomenological modelling imply that such kinds of energy dissipation in organic shales are possibly caused by the viscous friction at interfaces between inorganic grains and the surface of liquefied or bitumen-filled organic matter. Besides, a modified standard linear solid model containing multiple sets of a characteristic frequency is proposed and well captures the continuous dispersion signatures considering that the Jungar shale contains various maturity-induced viscous organic matter. Metal oxides supported platinum catalysts with residual chloride are known to be reusable soft Lewis acid catalysts for the isomerization of allylic esters. To deepen the understanding of the industrial application of the catalytic system and optimize the catalyst design, an investigation on the reusability and deactivation mechanism of supported platinum catalysts in the isomerization of but-3-ene-1,2-diyl diacetate was conducted. A great reactivation effect was observed by treating the used catalysts with HCl, rather than that of calcination. Pt-Cl/CeO 2 showed the best reusability among the catalysts prepared with other metal oxides, and it was uncovered that the reduction of PtO x Cl y species should be the main reason for deactivation with the assistance of X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) analysis. Besides, a relatively stable state was also observed from the XAFS spectra of Pt-Cl/CeO 2 catalysts in the reusing test, and it could effectively prevent the active species from further deactivation. Furthermore, in an extended evaluation of the stability of the catalysts, reusability, and a limited deactivation were also verified through a 10-run batch reaction. Additionally, the continuous flow reaction was also proven to be feasible. Efferocytosis can resolve airway inflammation and enhance airway tolerance in allergic asthma. While previous work has reported that progranulin (PGRN) regulated macrophage efferocytosis, but it is unclear whether PGRN‐mediated efferocytosis is associated with asthma. Here, we found that in an ovalbumin (OVA)‐induced allergic asthma model, the airway inflammation was suppressed and the apoptosis in lung tissues was ameliorated in PGRN‐deficient mice. In contrast, PGRN knockdown in human bronchial epithelial cells increased apoptosis in vitro. Furthermore, PGRN‐deficient macrophages had significantly stronger efferocytosis ability than wild type (WT) macrophages both in vitro and in vivo. PGRN‐deficient peritoneal macrophages (PMs) exhibited increased expression of genes associated with efferocytosis including milk fat globule‐epidermal growth factor 8 (MFG‐E8), peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor gamma (PPAR‐γ) and sirtuin1 (SIRT1) and increased capacity to produce the anti‐inflammatory mediator interleukin (IL)‐10 during efferocytosis. GW9662, the inhibitor of PPAR‐γ, abolished increased efferocytosis and MFG‐E8 expression in PGRN‐deficient PMs suggesting that PGRN deficiency enhanced MFG‐E8‐mediated efferocytosis through PPAR‐γ. Correspondingly, efferocytosis genes were increased in the lungs of OVA‐induced PGRN‐deficient mice. GW9662 treatment reduced MFG‐E8 expression but did not significantly affect airway inflammation. Our results demonstrated that PGRN deficiency enhanced efferocytosis via the PPAR‐γ/MFG‐E8 pathway and this may be one of the reasons PGRN deficiency results in inhibition of airway inflammation in allergic asthma. Human osteoclast-stimulating factor (OSF) induces osteoclast formation and bone resorption in osteoporosis by recruiting multiple signaling complexes with downstream partners. Protein contains a peptide-recognition Src homology 3 (SH3) domain that can recognize and bind class II linear motif P − 1 x x P + 2 x [ K ∕ R ] + 4 to its partner proteins. The motif is defined by two prolines at positions − 1 and + 2, which are the primary anchor residues required for the domain recognition, and a positively charged amino acid at position + 4, which is the secondary anchor residue and determines the binding orientation of the motif peptides on the domain surface. In this study, we systematically examined the intermolecular interaction of OSF SH3 domain with a high-affinity decapeptide segment derived from its partner protein Sam68 at structural and energetic levels. It was found that, in addition to the primary and secondary anchor residues, the residue at peptide position + 1 is also important, which can form a π -stacking system (consisting of multiple cation- π or π – π stacking interactions) with its vicinal aromatic residues Phe23, Trp49 and Tyr65 of OSF SH3 domain, thus, largely stabilizing the domain–peptide complex. Here, we assigned the position + 1 as the third anchor residue and investigated the stacking effect by systematically substituting the position + 1 residue with six charged/aromatic amino acids (Arg, Lys, His, Phe, Tyr and Trp) and one neutral amino acid (Ala), as well as their impacts on the domain–peptide binding. A strong stacking effect was observed in association with charged/aromatic substitutions relative to neutral substitution, conferring substantial stability to the complex formation. A further fluorescence-based assay also substantiated the computational findings; the lysine and tyrosine substitutions ( K + 1 and Y + 1 ) were observed to significantly and moderately improve peptide affinity by 4.7-fold and 1.4-fold relative to wild-type Sam68 decapeptide ( R + 1 ), respectively. The binding behavior of peptide ligands to human OSF SH3 domain is systematically analyzed at structural and energetic levels. The peptide position +1 is involved in a π-stacking system with its vicinal aromatic domain residues. The peptide position +1 is assigned as third anchor residue. Purpose: Accumulating evidence has highlighted the critical roles of circular RNAs (circRNAs) in non‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This study aims to unveil the roles of circRARS (circular RARS) (hsa_circ_0001551) in NSCLC. Methods: Quantitative real‐time PCR was used to determine the expression of circRARS in NSCLC tissues and cells. Kaplan–Meier analysis was used to determine the prognostic value of circRARS expression. CCK8, transwell, and wound healing assays were used to assess the proliferation, invasion, and migration abilities of NSCLC cells. RNA pull‐down, cell fraction, glucose consumption, lactate production, and lactate dehydrogenase activity assays were conducted to explore the potential mechanisms of circRARS in NSCLC. Results: circRARS is upregulated in NSCLC tissues and positively correlated with smoking status, lymph node metastasis, and higher tumor stages. NSCLC patients with high expression of circRARS have poor overall survival. Functional assays demonstrated that circRARS accelerated the proliferation, invasion, and migration of NSCLC cells in vitro. The cell fraction suggested that circRARS mainly accumulated in cytoplasm and the RNA pull‐down assay showed lactate dehydrogenase (LDHA) could bind with circRARS. Furthermore, circRARS positively regulates LDHA activity and LDHA expression at the transcription level. Moreover, downregulated circRARS decreases glucose consumption and lactate production and compromises aerobic glycolysis in NSCLC cells. Finally, rescue assays showed circRARS could promote NSCLC cell proliferation by regulating LDHA activity.
