The photo‐induced deoxygenative C2 arylation of quinoline N‐oxides to 2‐arylquinolines is achieved over a heterogeneous porous tubular graphitic carbon nitride (PTCN) catalyst with phenylhydrazines as arylation reagent. A wide range of quinoline N‐oxides can be efficiently transformed into their corresponding 2‐arylquinolines under visible light irradiation. A novel CVO/TiO2 heterojunction material has been prepared and used to catalyze the oxidative aromatization of amines and cyclohexenones under visible light irradiation, avoiding the use of noble metal catalysts and providing an environmentally friendly alternative for the synthesis of aromatic amines. The catalytic reaction uses oxygen as the final oxidant and provides good yields over a wide range of substrates. Notably, the recyclable heterogeneous semiconductor photocatalyst can be readily recovered and reused for at least four cycles. SrTiO3 photocatalysts have been widely applied in overall water splitting reaction for their reasonable redox potential, whereas preventing the defects is crucial to improve the transition of photoexcited carriers influencing the photocatalytic performance. The defects in perovskite-type SrTiO3 were mainly Ti3+ and oxygen vacancies. Thence, little Ta5+ was designed to be doped in the B site for modulating the defect concentration. A series of advanced characterizations demonstrated that Ta5+ is helpful for Al3+ to penetrate the SrTiO3 lattice through lattice distortion, decreasing the Ti3+ defects. Meanwhile, the doping of slight Ta5+ facilitates the decrease in oxygen defect concentration, due to the formation of {Ta5+–O–Al3+}. Photoluminescence spectra and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy uncover that the charge carrier separation of SrTiO3 was enhanced by slight Ta5+. However, the excessive Ta5+ greatly promoted form the oxygen defect and Ti3+ species, leading to severe recombination of photogenerated carriers, which significantly reduced the photocatalytic activity. A novel heterojunction material constructed with titanium dioxide nanoparticles and covalent organic frameworks, TiO2@COF‐5 NPs, was designed and synthesized successfully from HHTP, PBBA and TiO2 under solvothermal conditions. Notably, the TiO2@COF‐5 heterojunction demonstrated excellent photocatalytic performance for the aerobic oxidative coupling reaction of benzylamines to N‐benzyl‐1‐phenyl methanimines under visible light irradiation, and both high conversions (up to 99 %) and high selectivity (99 %) were achieved for various benzylamines. The ameliorated photocatalytic performance might owe much to establishing the systematic coupling between the TiO2 nanoparticles and covalent organic frameworks, which could effectively extend the wavelength range of visible light absorption and increase more reactive active sites. This study might provide a versatile approach to combining covalent organic frameworks with inorganic semiconductors to give full play to the synergistic effect of catalysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
