Este artículo presenta el estado actual de las técnicas de inteligencia artificial y su aplicación al campo de la detección y diagnóstico de fallas en sistemas dinámicos. Inicialmente, se hace una breve descripción de lo que se considera un mecanismo de detección y diagnóstico de fallas, y se explican los enfoques actuales de estudio y aplicación de tales mecanismos. Posteriormente, se presentan los resultados más importantes de las diferentes técnicas de inteligencia artificial aplicadas a la detección y diagnóstico de fallas. Finalmente, se presenta un análisis comparativo con base en las características deseables de los mecanismos de detección y diagnóstico de fallas. El artículo concluye mencionando los beneficios de la clasificación de las técnicas presentadas y enumerando las posibles vías hacia donde debe ir la investigación en este campo. This article presents the current state of artificial intelligence techniques and their application to the field of fault detection and diagnosis, in dynamical systems. Initially, a brief description of what is considered a mechanism for fault detection and diagnosis, and current approaches to the study and implementation of such mechanisms are explained. Subsequently, the most important results of the various artificial intelligence techniques applied to the fault detection and diagnosis are presented. Finally, a comparative analysis based on the desired characteristics of the mechanisms of fault detection and diagnosis is presented. The article concludes by mentioning the benefits of the classification of techniques presented and the listing possible pathways to where you should go research in this field.

Ésta tesis propone, a partir de los métodos y herramientas para la monitorización y supervisión de procesos industriales automatizados, los fundamentos de la ergonomía cognitiva (Cañas y Waern, 2001) y los conceptos de usabilidad de sistemas interactivos (Benyon, 2013), el desarrollo, aplicación y validación de una metodología para la evaluación de la usabilidad de interfaces de sistemas de supervisión industrial. Inicialmente, se ha planteado una revisión de conceptos sobre cómo se concibe en la actualidad la supervisión industrial en sus etapas básicas, el control, la monitorización, la protección, la detección, el diagnóstico y el aislamiento de fallas en las plantas de procesos industriales. Esta primera investigación, comprende la aproximación a las técnicas basadas en modelos, donde se muestra cómo los sistemas de adquisición de datos y monitorización que se utilizan en la actualidad pueden ser útiles para el diagnóstico del estado del proceso (Isermann, 2011). La información relevante con respecto a las causas y los posibles efectos sobre el proceso, le permitirá al operador de la planta tomar una acertada decisión frente al surgimiento de eventos de falla y el restablecimiento a las condiciones apropiadas de operación. El suministro de la información sobre el estado de la planta es hoy soportada por interfaces humano-máquina (IHM). Posteriormente, se rescatan los conceptos que forman parte del diseño orientado a humanos planteados por la ergonomía cognitiva. La ergonomía cognitiva es una disciplina que establece varios métodos para describir, modelar y simular el procesamiento cognitivo y de comportamiento, la confiabilidad humana y la interacción entre humanos y máquinas. Sin embargo, dado que los sistemas de supervisión se caracterizan por tener un alto grado de interacción entre el operador y las plantas de proceso, es necesario contar con metodologías en cierto grado confiables para la evaluación de las IHM. Para ello, se recurre entonces al concepto de usabilidad y los métodos que actualmente se utilizan para su evaluación. Como objetivo principal, es desarrollada una metodología automatizada para evaluar la usabilidad de IHM, que tiene como innovación un sistema tecnológico que utiliza un sistema de adquisición de datos para control y supervisión (SCADA), un sistema de registro de eventos (EVENT LOGGER), un sistema de clasificación de criterios de usabilidad de acuerdo a los eventos de interacción y un sistema adaptativo de inferencia neuro-difusa (ANFIS), para valorar la usabilidad de la interfaz de interacción del operador con la planta. Para el entrenamiento del ANFIS de la metodología, se utilizaron las interfaces de supervisión de una planta para un proceso de dosificación de líquidos y de un simulador de una planta para un proceso de pasterización. Las interfaces fueron elaboradas por estudiantes de cursos de automatización industrial, sin considerar estándares o aspectos de diseño y valoradas por un experto con base en diez criterios de evaluación de usabilidad. Posteriormente, se llevaron a cabo experimentos de interacción con 30 operadores, que fueron dejando huella de su actividad en el registrador de eventos. Tanto los operadores como el experto, respondieron un cuestionario sobre la valoración de las interfaces. Para la prueba del sistema se utilizaron ocho interfaces y para la validación siete. Para comprobar la exactitud del sistema tecnológico de la metodología, se realizó una prueba de hipótesis frente a la inspección por el experto y la indagación a los usuarios. Con ello, se estableció que la metodología propuesta, tiene equivalencia significativa con respecto a las dos metodologías tradicionales, pero con la ventaja de ser completamente automatizada. El sistema es utilizado para determinar la valoración de la interfaz de supervisión, por la interacción entre operadores y plantas de procesos, establecer las deficiencias y proponer los cambios para el mejoramiento de la interacción. La metodología desarrollada será una herramienta útil para su aplicación en el diseño de nuevas IHM de soporte al operador en actividades de monitorización, control y supervisión de procesos. Igualmente, este desarrollo permitirá ampliar la visión hacía una teoría de la supervisión industrial humana, integrando los conceptos de monitorización, control, detección y diagnóstico de fallas, modelamiento y simulación del procesamiento cognitivo y de comportamiento humano frente a procesos complejos de la ingeniería Abstract : This thesis proposes, based on the methods and tools for monitoring and supervision of automated industrial processes, the foundations of cognitive ergonomics (Cañas and Waern, 2001) and the concepts of usability of interactive systems (Benyon, 2013), the development, implementation and validation of a methodology for evaluating the usability of interfaces for industrial supervision systems. Initially, it has proposed a revision of concepts on how currently conceived the industrial monitoring, its basic stages, control, monitoring, protection, detection, diagnosis and isolation of faults in industrial process plants. This first investigation, comprising the approach to model-based techniques, which shows how systems of data acquisition and monitoring that are used today, can be useful for the diagnosis of the process state (Isermann, 2011). Relevant information regarding the causes and possible effects on the process, will allow the plant operator make a decision about the emergence of fault events and restoration to the appropriate operating conditions. Providing information on the state of the plant is now supported by the human-machine interfaces (HMI). Subsequently, the concepts that are part of the human centered design taken from cognitive ergonomics design are rescued. Cognitive Ergonomics is a discipline that provides several methods to describe, model and simulate cognitive processing and behavior, human reliability and the interaction between humans and machines. However, given that monitoring systems are characterized by a high degree of interaction between the operator and process plants, are needed reliable methodologies for assessing the HMI. For this, is used the notion of usability and the methods currently used for its evaluation. Main objective is developed an automated methodology for evaluating the usability of HMI, whose technological innovation system using a supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA), an event log system (EVENT LOGGER), a system of classification of usability criteria according to interaction events and an adaptive system neuro-fuzzy inference (ANFIS) to assess the usability of the interface operator interaction with the plant. For ANFIS training methodology, a plant supervision interface for liquids dosing process and a plant simulator interface for pasteurization process was used. The interfaces were developed by students of industrial automation courses, regardless standards or design aspects and valued by an expert based on ten criteria for evaluating usability. Later, they conducted experiments of interaction with 30 operators, who were leaving traces of their activity in the event register. Both operators and skilled, they answered a questionnaire on the evaluation of interfaces. For test technological systems were used eight interfaces and for validation seven interfaces. To check the accuracy of the technological system of the methodology, a hypothesis test against inspection by the expert and the inquiry was made for users. This established that the proposed methodology has significant equivalence with respect to the two traditional methods, but with the advantage of being fully automated. The system is used to determine the valuation of the monitoring interface, based on the interaction between operators and process plants, establish gaps and propose changes to improve the interaction. The methodology developed will be a useful tool for use in the design of new IHM support the operator in monitoring activities, control and process monitoring. En este artículo se presenta una extensión del algoritmo del método de Gauthier, que soluciona la búsqueda de realización mínima multivariable partiendo de matrices de transferencia cuadradas. El algoritmo incorpora previamente la teoría de fracciones coprimas, desarrolladas con matrices de Silvester y factorización qr. Debido a que las fracciones coprimas tienen una especial relación con las matrices en fracción polinomial, se muestran sus diferencias, analizándolas independientemente. Se plantean las características generales y se nombran las funciones desarrolladas para hacer hincapié en los caminos de búsqueda de la fracción coprima que no son únicos, así como tampoco su representación en espacio de estado. Para la demostración se utilizó un sistema dinámico multivariable, donde se comprueban la eficiencia y las limitaciones del algoritmo elaborado, con base en funciones realizadas con la Toolbox de control de Matlab®. Neste artigo apresenta-se uma extensão do algoritmo do método de Gauthier, que soluciona a busca de realização mínima multi-variável partindo de matrizes de transferência quadradas. O algoritmo incorpora previamente a teoria de frações coprimas, desenvolvidas com matrizes de Silvester e factorização qr. Devido a que as frações co-primas têm uma relação especial com as matrizes em fração polinomial, mostram-se suas diferenças, analisando-as independentemente. Explicam-se as características gerais e nomeiam-se as funções desenvolvidas para fazer insistir nos caminhos da busca da fração co-prima que não são únicos, assim como sua representação em espaço de estado. Para a demonstração utilizou-se um sistema dinâmico multi-variável, onde se comprovam a eficiência e as limitações do algoritmo elaborado, com base em funções realizadas com a caixa de ferramentas de controle de Matlab®.
