The Ukrainian IT sector remains the most dynamic sector of the economy, despite the geopolitical challenges of the ongoing full-scale war, and continues to develop rapidly. At this, the demand for qualified IT specialists is only growing, creating both opportunities for young professionals and competition in the market. This requires IT companies to significantly increase the efficiency of talent management. Accordingly, the development and implementation of new career planning strategies is an important task for Ukrainian IT enterprises, since the extant generally accepted approaches to personnel management do not always take into account the specifics of this industry. Effective career planning is an important aspect for organizational development and business stability, as it helps to increase the level of employee engagement and motivation, as well as reduce staff turnover. The main purpose of this article is to focus and prioritize the career planning system as an effective tool for personnel management. At this, the main task is to reveal the practical aspect of building the system on the example of companies in the IT sector. The article uses the methodology of generalization and systematization through methods of comparing differences and common features in the interpretation of the concepts of «career» and «career growth», analyzing the types of career movements on the example of companies in the IT sector, synthesizing the formation of career maps for employees of different departments and developing common approaches to building career plans, concretizing the key stages of career planning, inductive and deductive description of career transitions within the department and cross-team movements. The article analyzes scientific and practical approaches to understanding career planning, reveals the understanding of vertical and horizontal career movements. The key elements of the career planning system are disclosed. The methods of creating career maps are characterized and steps for building a career growth system on the example of IT companies are developed. The importance of creating job profiles in establishing a career planning system is indicated. Approaches to building career plans through the establishment of development goals are proposed.

The subject of the study is a set of measures of tax incentives for the information technology industry in the Russian Federation — “tax maneuver in IT”, launched from the beginning of 2021. The purpose of the study is to identify and qualitatively assess the stimulating effect of the tax maneuver in IT, which is expressed in changes in key financial and natural performance indicators of IT industry organizations, and to develop proposals on ways of tax incentives for the development of the industry. The article describes the distortion of the aggregate tax reporting characterizing the IT industry, which takes into account not only recently established IT organizations, but also “nominal” separates from large organizations IT subdivisions or technically clarified classification code, making it inappropriate to use such reporting as a basis for analysis and reliable conclusions. Based on the data of the public financial statements of selected sample from the top-100 Russian IT organizations, the article analyzes the dynamics of financial indicators of their activities, among which are the profiles of profiles, operating profit, net profit, investment in basic assets, the number of staff, the amount of products supplied for export, the capitalization of the company. The observation was conducted for 2017– 2022 and covers the periods both before and during the engagement of tax benefits. A comparative study was carried out with similar indicators of the organizations of the “control group”, which included IT companies operating in other countries that were not affected by such tax benefits. According to the results of the study, small or no extra growth was observed in key financial indicators of IT organizations due to the tax maneuver compared with the “pre-maneuver” period and compared with the indicators of the control group. It is concluded that there is no evidence of a significant impact of the tax maneuver on the development of the IT industry in Russia. We proposed dismantling of the “maneuver” and transition, based on the Chinese and some EU countries approaches, to taxation of the qualified profit. The latter is the profit of Russian and foreign IT developers from the localization of IT development and value creation in Russia. The achievable effective rate is 2.5%.

It involves initiatives and practices that go beyond legal obligations to positively impact society, including environmental sustainability, fair labour practices, and community engagement. CSR aims to balance economic, environmental, and social interests, enhancing the company's reputation and fostering trust among stakeholders. A comparative study of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) spending patterns between pharmaceutical and IT companies is important for understanding how different industries prioritize social, environmental, and economic responsibilities. This analysis helps highlight the sectors' varying contributions toward critical areas like education, healthcare, social causes, and environmental sustainability. By comparing these patterns, stakeholders can assess the alignment of corporate values with societal needs, identify gaps, and encourage better-targeted initiatives. Such studies also provide insights into how different industries manage their CSR obligations, which can inform policy decisions, promote industry benchmarking, and drive more strategic and impactful CSR investments. Risk management is an important process for the success of an IT project. Risk management provides significant benefits for companies, projects, and stakeholders associated with project implementation. This cannot be achieved without introducing risk management at every level of the business. Risk management becomes a management instrument that is essential for the project manager to increase the chances of success and solve problems before risk becomes a major problem that can threaten project goals. IT projects are characterized by a high level of risk and can have different approaches to risk management. IT projects (in the terms of software) have risks and uncertainties. Risks can be mitigated, managed, and maintained in accordance with planning and assessment. Common risks can be: user requirements, project complexity, planning and control, team, organizational environment, technology, and financial risk. The presence of risk management and risk manager influences the success of the project, risk management (especially risk analysis and monitoring and control of risk response) that is related to the subjective effectiveness of IT projects. There is a link between risk management and the success and subjective effectiveness of IT projects. A project is considered successful if its result is appropriate or better than determined during planning. Risk management can lead a project to success and achieve its subjective effectiveness only if the risks and ways to control them in the project were identified before it started. Conversely, proper risk management does not affect costs, schedules, and cost overruns, as these are three interrelated and defined positions in project planning.

Because of scientific breakthroughs and improvements in education, people all over the world have changed the way they live and go about their daily business. Rising living standards and changing lifestyles necessitate adjustments in the way a person works, the amount of time and effort he devotes to the work he must do at the workplace to meet his growing needs, and the increasing demands of his lifestyle. Job satisfaction has become more attainable in a shorter period of time, as a result of this. An increase in workplace stress is a direct result of an individual's need to juggle multiple roles in order to feel fulfilled at work; this, in turn, has an effect on the individual's output and productivity. Researchers, academics, authorities, and policymakers around the world have all taken an interest in the problem of stress. Employees blame it for their low productivity, low morale, inability to make decisions, fear of losing their jobs, and general unhappiness. The constant need for service means that those who work in healthcare and tourism often have to work around the clock. Empirical evidence suggests that work overload and long working hours cause high levels of stress among employees, which in turn has a negative effect on employees' mental and physical health. The objective of the study is to examine the stress factors which influence on physical health & wellbeing of IT company employees. Total 300 sample size has taken from 04 major IT company employees from Andhra Pradesh. The purpose of the article is analyze the current state of the IT industry of Ukraine and determine its promising directions as a driver of the strategic development of Ukraine's economy in the context of digital transformation. By analyzing, systematizing and summarizing the scientific works of leading domestic and foreign scientists, the destabilizing factors of the development of the IT industry were determined, both the pre-war and the current state of the IT industry was analyzed, and the challenges and advantages of its operation in the strategic development of Ukraine were outlined. During the research, it was found that in the pre-war period, the IT industry of Ukraine was one of the largest exporters of IT services in European countries, with the growth by 25–30% every year, generating more than 4% of Ukraine's GDP. The current state of the IT industry in Ukraine, which is complicated by the state of war, economic instability, and systematic blackouts, is also analyzed. As a result of the research, the challenges that have a significant impact on the activities of the companies in the IT industry as a whole were identified and formulated. The advantages of the IT industry from the point of view of the global economy, for the State, for other branches of the economy, and for those employed in the field of IT technologies, are determined. Prospects for further research in this direction are the development of a set of measures to stimulate and develop the IT sphere of Ukraine, in particular at the State level, which would ensure sustainable development in both the long-term and the short-term perspective.

This research paper aims to explore the managerial strategies adopted by PT. Bithouse, an IT consulting company specializing in AI application development, penetrates the artificial intelligence market in Indonesia. The study employs a qualitative research method to gain in-depth insights into the strategic approaches used by PT. Bithouse. Through interviews, observations, and document analysis, the research seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the company's management practices, decisionmaking processes, and adaptation strategies in the rapidly evolving AI landscape. The findings of this research can contribute to the knowledge and understanding of effective managerial strategies for AIfocused companies operating in emerging markets like Indonesia. In this article, the authors study in detail the current methods and tools for accounting for test devices in IT companies, based on a specific example of one of the companies in Ekaterinburg. The study includes an analysis of existing problems in the field of device accounting and offers a number of potential solutions to effectively overcome these problems. It also discusses hardware and software tools that can be used to optimize the accounting process. The presented study contributes to understanding the current state of test device inventory in IT companies and suggests an approach to improve this process.

IT industry is noticeably distinguished by the tax support provided to it in the Russian economy. Nowadays software companies are treated as main contributors to national technological breakthrough being one of the main priorities of federal tax policy. Tax maneuver of 2021 significantly changed well-known tax rules, but some of novelties became a logical development of previously implemented measures. We systematize them by following our classification that introduces three main phases, all of which provided a qualitative update of the previous taxation framework, and for analysis consider particular reliefs as a unified, specific tax regime integrated in the general taxation system. The purpose of the article is to identify priorities and evaluate effectiveness of mechanisms designed to stimulate IT companies, including a preliminary assessment of valid perimeter and performance of the maneuver. Obtained results indicate that the tax regime initially given to software business had a bad design, an extremely narrow scope of beneficiaries and, due to this, a little effect on the IT industry; modernization of that design with the revision of basics was necessary at least in order to stop the decline of IT industry in the part of small companies. However, the main trend of recent tax policy demonstrates a strengthening of sustainable business with comparative fall of competitiveness of beginning entrepreneurs. In sum, the tax maneuver has a positive economic impact but covers, according to our estimates, less than 20% of IT companies.

The characteristic features of Ukrainian IT companies are identified and analysed in the article. These characteristics are considered in the context of the application of business model elements from the point of view of creating value for customers of digital services and products. Data clustering was carried out in order to distinguish similar groups of IT companies. The principles of evaluating the value of IT enterprise products and the effectiveness of the applied business models were developed based on cluster analysis. Using the k-means method, clustering according to the following groups of indicators was carried out: the share of the various types of industry of customers of the company’s services/products in relation to the total volume; the share of types of services provided by the enterprise in relation to the total volume; the number of IT specialists at a given enterprise, taking into account the share comprising those registered in Ukraine; and the share in the client base of enterprises of certain categories (based on annual turnover). The calculation of the optimal number of clusters was carried out using the elbow method and the simplified silhouette estimation method. In the homogeneous groups formed by the applied business models, an analysis of the connections between these elements was carried out. It has been shown that the main factors in the creation of the value of IT products on the global market are the ability to provide high-quality services (a spectrum of services provided); the ability to provide services to certain types of industries; as well as the ability to form a national or transnational team of specialists that work towards the previous two factors. To evaluate the effectiveness of the applied business models, the value of the average declared cost of an hour of project implementation work, as well as the spectrum of the client base by categories of financial turnover (small, medium-sized or large businesses) are proposed. Given the state of the national economy and the prevailing transnational activity of a large share of Ukrainian IT companies, the proportion of employees registered in Ukraine is an equally important factor in assessing the effectiveness of the business model. It has been shown that the most effective business models of IT enterprises are those that ensure the involvement of professionals in a team, capable of providing high quality of a sufficiently narrow range of services to a medium range of industry types, and also create the possibility of a permanent improvement in employee qualifications in order to provide unique services. Business models that ensure the involvement of highly qualified managers from countries with developed economies in order to attract the client base of large and medium-sized businesses are also effective. The results of the research can be useful for adjusting the business models of IT enterprises in order to increase their efficiency by ensuring the possibility of providing services which cost above the average global market level and optimising the client base. The article developed a mathematical model of personnel management, taking into account the specifics of the activities of IT companies. The relevance of this study is due to the fact that the tasks of personnel management are subjective. This creates certain difficulties when choosing a mathematical apparatus for building a model for the effective distribution of specialists on projects in IT companies. The purpose of the research is to study modern methods and models of personnel management and develop a mathematical model for the selection of specialists with the necessary qualifications for an IT team. The article sets the following tasks: to analyze the theoretical and methodological foundations of economic and mathematical modeling of personnel management; to develop a personnel management model in the IT labor market. The authors describe the features of the activities of recruiting specialists in IT companies. The essence of the methods of personnel management in the IT labor market is analyzed. The specificity of the work of HR-managers (human resource managers) in outsourcing and outstaffing IT companies is considered. The use of a systematic approach to personnel management is proposed, in which an IT enterprise is considered as a subsystem of an economic system of the "fragment-aspect" type. The economic and mathematical model for recruiting specialists in an IT team, developed in the article, includes two components: "Model for the formation of the qualitative composition of IT personnel" and "Model for the formation of the quantitative composition of IT personnel". Forming an effective IT team requires a certain number of specialists with professional skills and universal competencies. The constraint conditions of the model describe the qualitative characteristics of applicants, such as profession, qualifications, hard skills and soft skills of candidates, and quantitative requirements. The model is built on the basis of heuristic methods for managing socio-economic systems and allows you to form a step-by-step list of applicants for vacancies in an IT team, taking into account the professional and personal qualities of specialists and the stated requirements for them from employers. The objective function is to minimize the total time spent by HR managers to form an effective IT team, taking into account the needs of customers. The result of the model's work is the formation of a list of candidates that should be recommended for concluding an agreement with customers.

The article discloses the theoretical, practical and legal principles of regulation of activities and taxation of IT companies in Ukraine, in particular, the legal support for the formation, functioning and development of the IT industry is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the structure and main tasks of the National Program of Informatization in Ukraine, other economic and tax legislation that guide IT companies in their activities. The analysis of the IT services market in Ukraine for 2018-2020 was carried out and the dynamics of tax payment by domestic IT specialists in 2017-2020 were analyzed, which indicated the successful functioning and transformation of the market. The volume of products produced and sold in 2020 is increased by UAH 134.2 billion compared to 2018, and the total amount of taxes paid in 2020 compared to 2017 is increased by UAH 3,569 million. Enterprises of the industry and individual entrepreneurs are profitable: in 2020, an IT specialist accounted for UAH 37,757 of the taxes paid. The choice of taxation system is especially relevant for the IT business of Ukraine. The ability to carry out professional activities as an individual entrepreneur and pay a single tax is an important condition for the development of the domestic IT industry, ensuring the competitiveness of IT specialists in the capital market. At the same time, the application of a simplified tax system is a certain manipulation of the norms of the tax legislation used by IT companies in order to minimize the tax burden. The necessity of development of the domestic IT market is substantiated, the main trends and prospects for the development and optimization of taxation are determined to strengthen the competitiveness of companies in both domestic and global IT markets. The elaboration of transparent principles and rules of taxation will have a positive impact on the development of the domestic IT industry.

The article systematizes and analyzes the list of resources for IT companies. A causality diagram between model variables by the software product complexity was built on the basis of dependencies between the time and the number of specialists involved in the development of software products, as well as company performance indicators. The nature of causal relationships between the model variables in terms of the software product labor intensity is presented. Using the VenSim simulation system, a simulation model for determining optimal labor standards for IT companies was built. The results of evaluating the adequacy of the model for determining optimal labor standards are presented. The optimal labor standards by labor intensity levels are determined, at which the efficiency of using the technical, technological, information, labor, and financial resources of the company increases and the profitability of activities for IT companies is maximized. A methodological approach has been presented, which outlines the cost standards of innovative labor of IT companies’ specialists. The developed approach is aimed at determining the time and number of an IT company specialists who, due to the impact on the efficiency of using information, technical, labor and financial resources, provide the necessary level of profitability of the IT companies’ activities. Nowadays, in the conditions of global economic crisis and the Covid/SARS-19 pandemic, the issues of development and operation of companies in remote work and student education are more relevant than ever. The COVID-19 crisis, aside from the global pandemic, has dealt a crushing blow to the economy of states and organisations. Insufficient level of research funding, imperfection of the organisational structure and management of research activities in IT necessitate the revision and improvement of the existing management system for such projects. The purpose of the study is to develop comprehensive models for improving the objectivity of role assessment of applicants’ competencies when completing a list of specialists for an IT company in conditions of uncertainty on the fuzzy set platform. The following theoretical methods were used in the study: information synthesis and analysis, statistical method, the maximisation method, and the Max-disjunctive method. The study considers the developed model for evaluating the competencies of applicants when selecting specialists for IT company using the fuzzy set platform. The analysis of existing problems of recruitment of personnel, human or labour resources in corporations whose activities are related to the development of software is carried out. The approximate composition of roles in modern IT companies with recommended socionic types of information metabolism for each specific performer of an IT project is given. The incentive mechanism under specific restrictions allows improving the bonus system for IT personnel and differentiate such personnel using project management tools. The authors of the paper have developed a fuzzy model for assessing the competencies of an applicant for any position in an IT Corporation. Linguistic variables, the basis of the rules of fuzzy products, and the conclusion of dependencies of the output variable on the input data of the developed fuzzy model are presented

The article attracts attention to a fairly common type of organizational structure of management, which is a virtual organization, due to the digitalization of the economy and the functioning of a significant number of enterprises in virtual space. The implementation of a virtual organizational structure promotes better interaction of structural units of IT company, as well as provides prompt management decisions both within the organization and outside. This allows the organization to respond in a timely manner to changes in a dynamic market environment and, thus, better interact with counterparties in communication channels and marketing channels in general. The article highlights the issue of building a virtual organizational management structure in IT company, given that the organization can be considered as a set of hardware and software and technological, marketing and management components that are interconnected. The importance of the company’s interaction virtualization with other elements of its internal and external environment has been updated. In this regard, the virtual structure of the organization is considered as a complex concept that combines marketing, including communication, and management aspects, and HR-management is considered as a component of management. The article presents a comparative description of marketing communication tools for real and virtual organization, as well as focuses on the importance and place of HR-marketing in the system of virtual organization, taking into account its marketing and management aspects. In particular, the difference between Internet marketing as a tool of marketing communications and marketing in Internet has been determined, which reveals the essence of the organization’s use of traditional marketing tools using the Internet. The role of HR-marketing as an activity aimed at improving the company’s position in the labor market has been highlighted and the relationship of this category as an activity with the management and marketing elements of a virtual organization has been identified. Keeping employees aligned with modern trends and developments in their professional areas is the main focus of a lifelong lea rning approach. That becomes even more important for such dynamic industries like Information Technology. Therefore, it’s crucial to extend existing e-learning management system with an adaptive training component that enables the effective study of on-demand skills, leading to a broader range of candidates available for project management to select from and consequently improving the overall performance of an IT company. To improve the existing learning process according to company's and employee's needs the overview of a typical learning management system functionality is given in this paper. The main benefits from the adoption of a learning management system in small and medium-sized IT-companies were discussed, analysis of their features and problems was given. The adjustment plan for the typical learning management system to be suitable for the information technology domain including module of the adaptive learning content selection using the basic principles of graph theory was proposed to reduce the time of the learning process. LMS OpenOLAT was reworked according to the adjustment plan which is reflected by the number of diagrams such as sequence diagram, IDEF0 business process description, activity diagram that shows search algorithm steps and application component diagram. Also, GUI was adjusted to provide user with a good look and feel. The benefits of the proposed approach in business processes of IT-company are shown using “Academy – Smart”. To prove the efficiency of the proposed algorithm, real courses were used. Based on the learning material, provided by “Coursera”, a number of test cases was formed and analyzed. After applying adaptive content selection algorithm according to the models of “Academy – Smart” employees, learning time was reduced and optimized. This investigation has shown significant improvement in the resource management process and acceleration of the learning process for employees.

An information model has been carried out, with the help of which it is possible to implement methods that ensure the growth of competitiveness of IT companies. Growth conditions for companies provide mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The analysis of the data obtained as a result of the P&L financial report is mainly based on current indicators and can be partially used to prolong economic indicators for a certain (most often limited) period. The authors propose using methods for assessing stochastic indicators of IT development processes based on the solution of a number of problems: (1) Development of models to assess the impact of indicators in the analysis of the financial condition of companies; (2) Creation of an information model and methods for processing current stochastic data and assessing the probability of the implementation of negative and positive outcomes.

IT organizations use different strategies to achieve prosperity, compete with their rivals, and increase their efficiency and effectiveness. When the employees of every IT organization are satisfied and motivated in achieving their tasks and goals, they can make progress and achieve success. The main theoretical goal of this paper is to find out how and to what extent, motivation affects the employee's IT job satisfaction, especially in terms of financial motivation, good working conditions, career development opportunities, supervisors' feedback, and the employee's involvement. In this paper, we will conduct empirical research with a total of 8 questions to get a clearer image of how well and to what extent, motivation affects the IT employee's job satisfaction. As the most acceptable choice, we are going to use The Likert scale, with the respondents expressing their agreement or disagreement through a fivepoint scale (1= Strongly disagree...5 = Strongly agree). Based on the conclusions obtained, the hypotheses (types of job satisfaction motivation) will be tested, concerning their acceptance or rejection, and one specific conclusion will be obtained. In addition to their research, other research techniques will be used within the paper to support the issue with relevant arguments and data. The results of this research can be used as a basis for further research, but also as a useful recommendation for the managers who would like to examine the level of motivation, job satisfaction, and interpersonal relationships within their organization. The paper proposes an approach to optimizing the functional structure of the business processes of a service IT company based on the business process management system as an active self-organized, viable system that takes into account the peculiarities of the information technology industry development. This allows to optimize the structure of business processes through adequate positioning and formal description of the whole set of complex hierarchical interconnections with the aim of transition from hierarchical to functional structure of enterprise’s business processes taking into consideration the relationships between elements. The designed business process management system is considered as a set of strategic, tactical and operational business processes that are interrelated within a single strategic goal. The graph of the functional tasks of the investigated service IT company is formed, which reflects the incidence and closeness of the links between business processes. The model of optimization of the functional structure of business processes is proposed based on the algorithm, which involves minimizing the total connections of the subsets of the vertices of the functional graph, with the help of which the optimal restructured system of business processes was constructed, which increases the efficiency of management of the investigated service IT company. The advantages and disadvantages of the restructured functional structure of the service IT company’s business processes were analyzed. It is determined that the restructuring of the business process system will be effective only with changes in the enterprise processes management based on appropriate management strategies

The article proposes a methodology to improve the general system for optimizing strategic business processes (BPs) of an IT services company based on modern economic and mathematical assessment and analysis tools. A common step-by-step algorithm for building and analyzing models for optimizing BPs of an IT company is presented. There built a unified structural and logical system for optimizing BPs of an IT company, which combines factors, trends, principles and steps, methods and techniques, as well as expected results ensuring comprehensive research and improving the quality of optimizing the entire set of business BPs, is built. There developed a set of models for managing and optimizing business processes to increase efficiency of strategic management of an IT services company through the implementation of the following tasks: building a descriptive model of BPs of an IT services company; elaborating a mechanism for managing BPs as an active, self-organized, viable system; assessing efficiency of BPs of an IT services company; developing a set of models for managing and optimizing BPs; optimizing the structure of BPs of an IT services company; elaborating a mechanism for evaluating effectiveness of management decisions in the system of business processes of an IT services company. There implemented the simulation models to optimize management of business process of IT companies using scenario modeling, on the basis of which the forecasting of managerial impacts on BP representatives by certain management strategies that allow choosing the most effective management decisions regarding specific BP activities is carried out.

Objective: This article analyses the relationship between perceived organisational support and employee performance generally and in a large Polish IT enterprise. Research Design & Methods: The conceptual framework for the research was a theory of perceived organisational support. The research was intended to provide insight into the relationship between perceived organisational support and employee performance. The article focuses on insights from a survey addressed to the employees of a large Polish IT enterprise. The empirical research was done with CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviews). The project was funded by the National Science Centre in Poland (funds allocated on the basis of a decision no. DEC-2014/15/B/HS4/04326). Findings: The results showed that the perceived organisational support described herein is associated with employee performance. Moreover, the state of perceived organisational support and employee performance in the large Polish IT enterprise was diagnosed. Implications / Recommendations: The main implication of the research was that managers should focus on those issues which improve perceived organisational support to increase the performance of all employees in their organisations. Regarding future research directions, further research should be undertaken to analyse the relationship between perceived organisational support and employee performance in various industries across the country and longitudinally at different organisational levels. Contribution: This research generates new scientific knowledge about the role of perceived organisational support in shaping employee performance at an IT enterprise.

The aim of the article is to consider the possibilities of applying a multimethod simulation paradigm in the modeling of enterprise market strategies (using the example of IT companies). By summarizing the works of a number of specialists, there identified the specific features of the functioning of IT companies in the market for information technologies and communications, as well as the problems of the formation and actualization of their strategies. The necessity of using special analysis and forecasting tools with ensuring anticipatory modeling and multivariate research of various scenarios for implementing market strategies of IT companies is emphasized. The correspondence to the given conditions of the method of simulation modeling is substantiated. A simulation model for the formation of a market strategy for an IT company, built using a multimethod simulation paradigm on the AnyLogic system platform, is proposed. System dynamics and agent-based approaches are used as the basic ones. The work of the model is illustrated by fragments of simulation experiments conducted based on the international IT company “NetCracker Technology”. The possibilities of parametrization of the experiments are demonstrated, directions for further improvement of the simulator model are indicated.

BACKGROUND: Many overworked employees need tools to improve their depressive mood or sleep disorder. In Finland, a new device of bright light therapy was developed. OBJECTIVE: Our objective was to evaluate the effect of bright light treatment via ear canals on improving the depressive mood and sleep disorder. METHODS: We conducted a randomized, controlled, crossover designed, open-label trial. We examined 27 participants aged 23–52 years, assigned to either Early treatment or Later treatment groups. The Early treatment group used the device on weekdays for the first 4 weeks, followed by a 4-week observation period. The Later treatment group had an observation period for the first 4 weeks, followed by device treatment for the subsequent 4 weeks. Every Friday, the participants were asked to answer questionnaires: A Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS), an Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS), and a Profile of Mood States (POMS) Brief Form. RESULTS: While no significant effect was found on the SDS following treatment (p = 0.16), the AIS showed a significant improvement (p = 0.004), and the scores for the Depression (D) and Vigor (V) of POMs decreased significantly (p = 0.045, p = 0.006, respectively). The major capital of small business company in IT industry is an expert who not only executes his direct duties related with participation in the company's projects but also develops his professional skills aiming at career advancement. Such development is not characterized only by individuality but also should be synchronized with the demands of the company and the vector of its market progress. Due to necessity of formation of efficient teams for new projects, the issue of employee e-learning and e-training becomes very important. This article stipulates the expediency of analysis of employee learning in small IT companies. The systems of employee e-learning and e-training are determined and analyzed including their classification and general structure. On the basis of expert survey, commercial and open source LMS are compared together with comparative analysis of the most popular LMS. Learning and development of employees is an essential process in an organization. This is fulfilled by training interventions, which can ensurebetter learnability of employees. This makes it essential to ensure that an employee is trained in an environment cohesive to individuals' learning style preferences. Indian Information Technology (IT) service companies devise learning and development programs to train large number of employees. But, the elements ensuring learnability of one employee may be significantly different from that of another employee. If organizations have to achieve excellence in learning, they need to assess learning styles of employees before providing them the training. Therefore, this research work attempts to assess learning styles of knowledge workers in Indian IT service companies. In this study, Peter Honey and Alan Mumford's Learning Styles Questionnaire (LSQ) was used to conduct primary data collection trough online platform. Thereafter, Multinomial Logistic Regression was used to identify significant predictor variables influencing learning style preferences of knowledge workers in Indian IT service companies. Practical implications of this research work can help learning and development managers in Indian IT service companies to understand learning styles preferences of knowledge workers in order to improve learnability.
