A concern for the growth and utilization of sheep is raised since ancient times in Romania. The development of livestock sector is determined by the climate and the geographical configuration with the availability of grasslands maintained by transhumants. The pastoralism founded a domestic processing of milk, wool and leather products with positive socio-economic implications on material and spiritual life of local people. The sheep breeds prevailed until the 20th century were ‘Tucana’ and ‘Stogose’ and, to a lesser extent, ‘Tisigai’. These breeds, generally unimproved, have a profound fitness and resistance to harsh weather conditions. These breeds were also fit for traveling long routes in search of food. The utilization of a sheep breed is determined by the national economic demand, productivity potential of the breed, available, technology, improvement and utilization methods of the breed. The said sheep breeds were appreciated because they produce a diversity of products having superior nutritional or economic values. It is known especially for its white wool, which is used in domestic industry for making clothes and other products including artifacts, textiles, Persian carpets, etc. Considering the local natural conditions and the national economic demands, the sheep husbandry was assisted continuously to support intensive and multilateral development producing the necessary raw materials for the textile, fur, leather and food industry. Both research and the technical developments have contributed to the zootechnical field geared to resolve the problems appeared in the development of sheep. The scientific knowledge and expertise need to be combined with application skills leading to the development and modernization of complex technologies helping growth of sheep products.

In this paper, were studied three maize hybrids in terms of seed germination capacity when they were exposed to low temperatures. Also, some elements regarding the seed vigor were analyzed, namely the length of the coleoptile, the length of the root and the weight of the germ. Exposure temperatures were 25 ° C (control), 6 ° C and 5 ° C and the hybrids analyzed were Olt, F 376 and Turda 201. The researches were realized under laboratory controlled conditions, and the obtained results showed a strict dependence of the parameters analyzed by the temperature factor.

In this work it was analyzed the influence of reducing leaves surface on the number of grains/cob corn at four maize hybrids created at The National Institute for Researches and Development Fundulea. The results show that in the phenological phase of formation of stigmata, at studied hybrids, the most important factor which influenced the number of grains/cob corn were the last three leaves under panicle. On average, leaf removal produced losses in the number of grains /cob corn compared with the control values for all variants tested. Losses ranged between 12 and 26% compared to the control variant. The most obvious reduction in the number of grains / cob corn for analyzed hybrids were recorded in the variant where the leaves are removed from the top of the corn cob and remained only the leaf under the panicle. (74 % of control). In phenological phase of 15 days after stigmata formation, the lowest value of this character was recorded in experimental version which have been removed all the leaves above the cob corn, respectively 80 % of controls, and the maximum value of the analyzed hybrids was registered in experimental version which have been removed all the leaves below the corn cob.

Using of chemical means in detrimental rodents control is an important way for diminution of rodent’s populations and their damages. In this paper we have identified all methods for application of these chemical means in deratization practice. Methods for raticides application are:using of spraying;using of toxic baits;poisoning of watering sources;the gasification of galleries.

For to define more accurately the precocity group of some maize hybrids depending on vegetation conditions from maize growing area, different researches analyzed the number of leaves as invariable factor dependent on hybrid. In this writing we offer dates about number of leaves for ten maize hybrids cultivated in experimental field from Varieties Testing Centre, Targoviste. Differences between hybrids were clearly and for this reason we can classify these hybrids in two precocity groups (medium early or late).
